Abstract

Kelenteng is a place of worship for Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism, also known as the Tri Dharma Worship Place (TITD). The Kelenteng has its own characteristics that distinguish it from other places of worship. One of the most easily noticeable characteristics is on the roof of the Kelenteng. The roof of the Kelenteng generally uses the traditional Chinese roof shape. The shape of the temple building roof varies due to climate factors and the acculturation of its original regional architecture with local architecture. The diversity of roof shapes can also be seen from the principles of arranging the shapes found in the roof. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Research data collection was carried out by field observation and literature study. Field observations were carried out by documentation and sketching. The sketch results will be digitized to obtain the shape of the temple roof. The final result of this research is to obtain the typology of the roof shape of the Kelenteng in Pontianak City. The Kelenteng roof in Pontianak City consists of two types, namely a combination of hip and gable roof (Hsuan Hsan) and a gable roof (Ngang Hsan). The dominant roof type used in Kelenteng in Pontianak City is the Hsuan Hsan roof type with a curved roof tip.

Abstract

The use of spatial organization in Malay villages, especially the Bangka Belitung village settlements in Pontianak city, indirectly creates space in areas that are used as settlements. The background to the formation of the Bangka Belitung village is a form of moving from a place, recognizing that the area belongs to it, followed by daily activities and other people's views on the area. People choose a place to live according to their living needs, such as the people of Bangka Belitung village who choose to live on the banks of the Kapuas river to take advantage of the various functions of the river which is often used as a characteristic of the Malay nation. The togetherness of people who socialize in one place makes spaces a place to support their needs. This is what forms the character of a residential area. This research aims to determine the character of the space formed in Bangka Belitung village, Pontianak city. Any data obtained uses literature methods and information mining on the internet. Apart from that, observing the area to take pictures is a necessity in analyzing the character of the area's residential space. Then it is processed using qualitative descriptive methods to describe, explain and answer the problems of a research. From the research results, it was found that Bangka Belitung Village has good territory/boundaries administratively and in terms of character interactions, diverse spatial forms, and is oriented towards roads and rivers.

Abstract

Child-Friendly Integrated Public Space, hereinafter referred to as RPTRA, is the idea of a public space consisting of parks that have interesting play equipment, CCTV, and areas that serve the needs of the surrounding community. As an urban park that serves as a RPTRA, Taman Catur should use child-friendly designs because if the facilities of the RPTRA are not carefully designed, they can be very dangerous. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive analytical approach to present the existing conditions of the Taman Catur facilities, the ideal conditions of an RPTRA, and design guidelines to ensure the park meets RPTRA criteria. The purpose of this research is to produce a design direction for Taman Catur in order to match the criteria of RPTRA in accordance with the theory of Baskara (2011), SNI 9169: 2023 on Child Friendly Play Space, and Pontianak City Regional Regulation Number 1 Article 11 Year 2022 on Child Friendly City. The research results also indicate that the areas in Taman Catur do not meet the RPTRA criteria and require the addition or removal of existing supporting facilities. Deficiencies that exist in Taman Catur include aspects of safety, health, and ease of accessibility.

Abstract

Soundscape or room acoustics is a branch of building physics that focuses on the condition, movement, or quality of acoustics or sound in a space. Soundscape can be divided into 2 main parts, one focusing on open spaces, and one on closed spaces. Open spaces that we usually find are parks, streets, roundabouts, performance stages, or outdoor concerts. The Mujahidin Grand Mosque is one of the largest places of worship in Pontianak City. As a grand mosque, of course, the quality of indoor acoustics that it requires must be good and adequate. However, there is an issue among mosque users who say that the acoustic quality of the Mujahidin Grand Mosque is not good, because, in several places in the main worship area of the mosque, there is noise interference. This interference is in the form of echoes or reverberations in certain areas, especially around the stairs and openings. Therefore, an evaluation of the acoustic quality of the worship space of the Mujahidin Grand Mosque in Pontianak is needed. This study focuses on the acoustic quality of the main worship space of the Mujahidin Grand Mosque. The study was conducted using software assistance in the form of Ecotect Analysis and Ease Focus III. From the research conducted, it was found that the acoustic quality of the object was far above standard. With an average noise level of 60.5 dB, and a reverberation time of 5.13 seconds. The biggest acoustic problems are in the area adjacent to the opening, the front area of the shaft, and the middle area of the room.

Abstract

External threats such as animals, climate change, and weather conditions are commonly known factors that determine the house's primary function, which is to provide shelter and protection. The structural characteristics of the architecture of the traditional Malay House are unique in their distinctive construction techniques, design elements, functions, and decorative features. These houses, passed down through generations, have historically served as essential spaces for communal living. Thermal comfort in buildings refers to physical and physiological satisfaction, often assessed using empirical equations. This study evaluates the thermal comfort levels of traditional Malay houses in Sambas City. A descriptive quantitative approach is employed, utilizing Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations conducted through Autodesk Inventor software to analyze indoor airflow patterns. Additionally, on-site measurements investigation is employed using an anemometer to assess wind speed, a hygrometer to determine humidity levels, and a thermometer to measure air temperature. The findings indicate that none of the case study houses meet the thermal comfort standards established by KEMENKES (Indonesian Ministry of Health) and SNI (Indonesian National Standard). As a result, residents often experience discomfort and resort to artificial ventilation at specific times to improve indoor conditions.

Abstract

Abstract

A sub-district park is a park intended to serve the residents of one sub-district. Parks are public open areas that function as social and aesthetic spaces for ecological, recreational, educational or other activities at the sub-district level. In an effort to design recreational facilities, as well as becoming a tourist attraction for the people of Terentang District, where there is no recreation area in the area, so that it can be realized as the main recreation place for the people of Terentang District. Based on the description above, the people of Terentang District need a recreational facility that has an educational function so that it can provide benefits. Based on the needs of the community, it is necessary to consider designing a "District Park in Sungai Radak II Village, Terentang District, Kab. Kubu Raya”, a recreational facility that can provide facilities and infrastructure for the community. Park visitors are divided into 4 age groups: children, teenagers, adults and the elderly. The space is spacious but still safe for children and elderly visitors. So it can provide visitor comfort. The sub-district park design has recreational and educational facilities such as arts performance areas, playgrounds, sports areas, reading areas, on same design site.
