Abstract

Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi bio-slurry dengan pupuk kotoran walet serta dosisnya terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman jagung manis (Zea mays L. saccharata Sturt ). Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan dilahan kebun Desa Bulalo Kecamatan Kwandang, Kabupaten Gorontalo Utara. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari 2023 sampai Mei 2023. Penelitian disusun menurut rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari satu faktor perlakuan yaitu kotoran walet dan bioslurry. Selanjutnya terdapat 5 taraf perlakuan antara lain : B0 = Tanpa perlakuan (kontrol); B1 = Kotoran Walet 5 kg per petak + Bioslurry 100 ml per tanaman; B2 = Kotoran Walet 5 kg per petak + Bioslurry 150 ml per tanaman; B3 = Kotoran Walet 7,5 kg per petak + Bioslurry 100 ml per tanaman; B4 = Kotoran Walet 7,5 kg per petak + Bioslurry 150 ml per tanaman. Penelitian ini diulang sebanyak 3 kali sehingga terdapat 15 unit satuan percobaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi kotoran walet dan bioslurry memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi jagung manis. Selanjutnya perlakuan kotoran walet 5 kg per petak dan 100 ml bio-slurry merupakan perlakuan yang terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan produksi jagung manis.

Abstract

Agricultural extension is a task given to someone by the agricultural service with their respective target areas with the Agricultural Extension Center (BPP) as the coordinator. In the context of agricultural development in Indonesia, agricultural extension workers play an important role in transferring knowledge and technology to farmers. the purpose of this study was to determine the role of agricultural extension according to the perceptions of rice farmers in Sangkub 4 Village, Sangkub District, North Bolaang Mongondow Regency. This research was conducted in Sangkub 4 Village, Sangkub District, North Gorontalo Regency from March to May 2022. The data collection method used was observation and interview methods with a questionnaire guide using qualitative analysis where the sample of respondents was 63 rice farmers. The results showed that the first extension agent acts as a guide with a farmer's perception value of 2.56 and is included in the high category, the second is the extension agent's role as an organizer with a farmer's perception value of 2.52 which is also in the high category, the third is the extension agent's role as a technical trainer with a farmer's perception value of 2, 62 is included in the high category. So that overall the role of extension agents in rice farming in Sangkub 4 Village shows a perception value of 2.56 and is included in the high category or very involved.

Abstract

Public service is an essential element in governance that aims to meet the needs of the community effectively. One of the significant innovations in Indonesia is the Public Service Mall (Mal Pelayanan Publik/MPP), which is an integrated service that integrates various types of services from the central government, local governments, business entities, and private sector in one location. Based on Presidential Regulation Number 89 of 2021, MPP aims to improve efficiency, accessibility, and quality of services, as well as encourage bureaucratic reform towards good governance. The implementation of MPP shows a positive impact in the form of reducing bureaucracy, time and cost efficiency, and increasing regional competitiveness. Vice President Ma'ruf Amin has given directions to implement MPP in all districts and cities. However, challenges still exist, such as institutional conditions both in terms of the One-Stop Investment and Integrated Services Agency (Dinas Penanaman Modal dan Pelayanan Satu Pintu/DPMPTSP) as the MPP coordinator and the service provider by organizations at the MPP, limited human resources, funding, and not all data between services are integrated. The analysis was conducted using a literature study method with data sources from books, journal articles that specifically discuss MPP in terms of policy implementation, legislative documents, reports, and other relevant sources and validated through interviews with the authors of the study related to the implementation of the MPP. The analysis was conducted using Grindle's policy implementation theory which combines the content of policy and the context of implementation, showing that the success of MPP is influenced by institutional support, commitment of related actors, adequate resources and must adjust to the conditions in which MPP policies are implemented. To ensure sustainability, institutional improvement, budget optimization, comprehensive evaluation, and the development of digital MPP as a future innovation are required. After implementing strategic steps, MPP has the potential to become a breakthrough solution in improving public services in Indonesia.

Abstract

Penyuluhan pertanian menjadi salah satu faktor utama dalam berhasilnya sektor pertanian, penyuluh pertanian memegang peranan penting dalam proses penyaluran informasi dan pengetahuan kepada petani termasuk peningkatan keterampilan petani. Penyuluh pertanian dapat berasal dari lembaga pemerintah maupun swasta dengan satu tujuan bersama berupa mensejahterahkan petani dan keluarganya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu menganalisis persepsi petani terhadap 4 metode penyuluhan pertanian yang dilaksanakan di Desa Modelidu Kabupaten Gorontalo, yaitu metode temu lapang, temu wicara, demonstrasi dan metode ceramah. Metode pengambilan data menggunakan metode observasi dan wawancara terstruktur menggunakan panduan wawancara. Data primer didapatkan dari petani jagung yang ada di Desa Modelidu, sedangkan data sekunder didapatkan dari kantor desa, Badan Pusat Statistik dan artikel penelitian yang relevan dengan topik penelitian. Metode analisis data menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, berupa tabulasi hasil jawaban responden penelitian yang disajikan lewat tabel dan grafik kemudian diikuti dengan ulasan deskriptif.  Data dianalisis menggunakan skala likert dengan skala lima (sangat setuju, setuju, kurang setuju, tidak setuju, sangat tidak setuju). persepsi petani terhadap metode penyuluhan temu lapang mendapatkan skor tertinggi dengan rata – rata skor 191,67, hal ini membuktikan bahwa petani jagung di Desa Modelidu menganggap metode temu lapang efektif dilaksanakan dalam kegiatan penyuluhan meskipun metode ini merupakan metode konvensional, metode temu wicara tidak terlalu mendapatkan atensi yang besar dari masyarakat dengan sistem pertanian yang masih konvensional dengan skor rata – rata persepsi petani sebesar 182.

Abstract

Dalam upaya memotong alur distribusi yang panjang maka Badan Litbang membentuk Unit Pengelolaan Benih Sumber (UPBS) ditiap-tiap BPTP yang ada disetiap provinsi di seluruh Indonesia. Berbagai alasan petani dalam memilih dan memutuskan benih padi untuk dibudidayakan, Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat efektifitas dari pola pendistribusian benih yang dilakukan oleh pihak BPTP Gorontalo serta melihat kecenderungan dan minat petani dalam mengadopsi suatu jenis benih yang akan dibudidayakan terutama pada benih NutriZinc dan benih Cakrabuana. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di BPTP Gorontalo dan Kabupaten Bone Bolango, waktu penelitian pada bulan Januari sampai Maret 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kajian pola distribusi yang dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan mentabulasi data penjualan benih. Untuk mengukur efektivitas pola distribusi benih serta minat petani terhadap suatu varietas benih dilakukan dengan menggunakan model multiatribut fishbein. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pola distribusi yang diterapkan oleh BPTP Gorontalo terbagi menjadi 2, yaitu distribusi berdasarkan swadana dan distribusi berdasarkan bantuan. Distribusi terbilang efektif, dan kemudahan akses benih menjadi poin penting dalam adopsi suatu varietas benih padi oleh petani.

Abstract

Purpose: This research paper aims to address the challenges faced by horticultural farmers in Lauwonu Village, particularly regarding water scarcity exacerbated by hot weather conditions. The study emphasizes the significance of utilizing technology, specifically a drip irrigation system based on IoT and solar panel energy, to mitigate these challenges effectively. Method: The research employed a qualitative approach to investigate the impact of implementing IoT-based drip irrigation systems on chili farming productivity. Data collection methods included surveys and interviews with 15 members of the Mekar Green farmer group. Thematic analysis was utilized to interpret the gathered data. Practical Applications: The findings demonstrate the practical benefits of adopting IoT-driven irrigation technology, enhancing water efficiency and agricultural productivity. This research offers valuable insights for farmers, policymakers, and agricultural practitioners, facilitating informed decision-making and sustainable agricultural practices.Conclusion: Implementing IoT-enabled drip irrigation systems powered by solar panels presents a viable solution to address water scarcity challenges in chili farming. The study underscores the importance of leveraging technology to improve agricultural resilience and productivity, thereby contributing to sustainable food production and livelihoods in rural communities.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat Desa Ilomata dilaksanakan sebagai upaya menjawab permasalahan teknis, ekonomi, dan keberlanjutan usaha hidroponik yang dihadapi Karang Taruna Ilomata, khususnya terkait keterbatasan teknologi, tingginya biaya operasional, dan rendahnya pemanfaatan energi terbarukan. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hardskill mitra dalam merancang, merakit, dan mengoperasikan sistem smart hidroponik tenaga surya serta softskill mitra dalam pengelolaan usaha dan pemahaman legalitas usaha hidroponik. Metode kegiatan yang digunakan meliputi Focus Group Discussion (FGD), sosialisasi, pelatihan praktik perakitan smart hidroponik tenaga surya, penyuluhan pembuatan pupuk organik cair dari limbah rumah tangga, serta pendampingan teknik budidaya dan legalitas usaha. Mitra kegiatan adalah Karang Taruna Ilomata Kelurahan Tapa, Kota Gorontalo yang terdiri dari 41 orang anggota aktif. Sistem evaluasi dilakukan melalui observasi langsung, wawancara, dan kuesioner untuk mengukur tingkat pemahaman dan keterampilan mitra setelah kegiatan. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan keterampilan mitra, yaitu peningkatan pengetahuan sebesar 100%, kemampuan merancang dan merakit smart hidroponik tenaga surya sebesar 86,4%, serta kemampuan pembuatan pupuk organik cair sebesar 65%, yang berdampak pada peningkatan produksi hidroponik dari 80 menjadi 120 tanaman per panen.Abstract: The community service activities in Ilomata Village were carried out as an effort to address the technical, economic, and sustainability issues faced by Karang Taruna Ilomata in their hydroponic business, particularly related to technological limitations, high operational expenses, and low utilization of renewable energy. The objectives of this activity were to improve the partners' hard skills in designing, assembling, and operating solar-powered smart hydroponic systems, as well as their soft skills in business management and understanding the legalities of hydroponic businesses. The methods used in this activity included Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), socialization, practical training in assembling solar-powered smart hydroponics, counseling on making liquid organic fertilizer from household waste, as well as technical assistance in cultivation and business legality. The activity partners were Karang Taruna Ilomata in Tapa Village, Gorontalo City, which consists of 41 active members. The evaluation system was conducted through direct observation, interviews, and questionnaires to measure the partners' level of understanding and skills after the activity. The evaluation results showed an increase in the partners' skills, namely a 100% increase in knowledge, an 86.4% increase in the ability to design and assemble solar-powered smart hydroponics, and a 65% increase in the ability to produce liquid organic fertilizer, which resulted in an increase in hydroponic production from 80 to 120 plants per harvest.

Abstract

The existence of waste is a problem faced by society today, both in urban and coastal areas, where the largest source of waste comes from household activities in the form of organic waste. Batu Hijau Village, Bone Bolango Regency, is an area in Gorontalo Province which is located in a coastal area which is facing problems related to the presence of household waste which causes pollution to the environment, even though the organic waste can be used as a material that has useful value. One household waste that can be processed into useful products is stale rice. Through training programs to produce local microorganisms (MOL) in partnership with Dasawisma and Karang Taruna in Batu Hijau Village, stale rice waste can be converted into a bioactivator for making organic fertilizer, a plant growth stimulant, and a biological agent for controlling disease in cultivated plants so that the problem of the presence of organic waste polluting the environment can be addressed while also meeting the fertilizer needs of Karang Taruna and Dasawisma partners who carry out cultivation activities in their yards. The results of service program activities based on achievement indicators show that Dasawisma and Karang Taruna partners have increased their knowledge capacity, this can be seen from the partners' ability to adopt the technology for making MOL stale rice. The recommendation for this activity is education on making MOL not only from stale rice but also training regarding making MOL from other materials such as fruit waste and banana tubers

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menguji sistem pakar untuk mengidentifikasi hama dan penyakit pada tanaman jagung di Provinsi Gorontalo, Indonesia, dengan menerapkan metode Certainty Factor (CF). Sistem ini dibangun berdasarkan basis pengetahuan yang diperoleh dari wawancara mendalam dengan para ahli, termasuk akademisi, penyuluh pertanian, dan peneliti. Metode CF digunakan untuk mengatasi ketidakpastian dalam diagnosis dengan menghitung nilai kepercayaan dari kombinasi gejala yang diamati oleh pengguna (petani/penyuluh). Hasil uji menunjukkan kemampuan sistem untuk mendiagnosis penyakit seperti penggerek batang dengan tingkat kepercayaan hingga 98,5%. Analisis ini menegaskan efektivitas metode CF dalam memberikan diagnosis yang terukur dan akurat (>80%), yang difasilitasi oleh antarmuka yang ramah pengguna. Sistem ini berfungsi tidak hanya sebagai alat diagnostik cepat di lapangan tetapi juga sebagai media pendidikan, menjembatani kesenjangan pengetahuan antara para ahli dan petani. Keberhasilan implementasi merekomendasikan metode CF sebagai pendekatan yang layak untuk sistem identifikasi penyakit tanaman, dengan catatan bahwa basis pengetahuan memerlukan pembaruan berkala. Penelitian ini berkontribusi untuk meningkatkan upaya ketahanan pangan melalui deteksi dini yang tepat. This study aims to develop and test an expert system for identifying pests and diseases in corn crops in Gorontalo Province, Indonesia, by applying the Certainty Factor (CF) method. The system was built on a knowledge base derived from in-depth interviews with experts, including academics, agricultural extension workers, and researchers. The CF method was employed to address uncertainty in diagnosis by calculating confidence values from combinations of symptoms observed by users (farmers/extension workers). Test results demonstrated the system's capability to diagnose diseases such as stem borer with a confidence level of up to 98.5%. The analysis confirms the effectiveness of the CF method in providing measurable and accurate diagnoses (>80%), facilitated by a user-friendly interface. This system functions not only as a rapid diagnostic tool in the field but also as an educational medium, bridging the knowledge gap between experts and farmers. The successful implementation recommends the CF method as a viable approach for plant disease identification systems, with the note that the knowledge base requires periodic updates. This research contributes to enhancing food security efforts through precise early detection.
