Abstract

This research aims to analyze the public leadership of a village head in development. This study posits that this discrepancy is mainly due to the difference in leadership competence in the various regions. Sekapuk Village, Ujungpangkah Sub-district, Gresik Regency, East Java Province, succeeded in achieving first place in Brilian Village in 2020. This accomplishment is inseparable from the visionary leadership role of the Sekapuk Village Head in managing village governance. The practical significance and the lessons of the findings of this study can be a reference for the public leadership of the village heads in the administration of other villages’s governance. This study analyzes the public leadership competence in development by utilizing the principles of good local governance for regional development. The methodology of this study involves a qualitative approach with a case study strategy. The researchers interviewed nine informants, consisting of village officials and heads as well as the community. The key research findings underline the ways in which public leaders are able to communicate constructively even with the opposition within the village governance structure and end up with the advancement of development in the region. The study, therefore, concludes that transformative public leadership is recommended for regional village development.

Abstract

Pekerja migran menjadi salah satu solusi penting dalam mengurangi pengangguran, termasuk di Kelurahan Semolowaru, Kota Surabaya. Meski menawarkan peluang ekonomi yang menjanjikan, pekerja migran juga menghadapi berbagai tantangan, seperti penipuan agen tenaga kerja, kekurangan informasi terkait hak, dan risiko eksploitasi di luar negeri. Melalui program pengabdian kepada masyarakat berupa workshop "Peluang dan Tantangan Pekerja Migran", masyarakat di Kelurahan Semolowaru mendapatkan pemahaman lebih mendalam mengenai proses migrasi tenaga kerja, hak dan kewajiban, serta cara memitigasi risiko yang mungkin dihadapi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa program ini berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya proses legal dan risiko yang dihadapi selama bekerja di luar negeri.

Abstract

Tujuan dari program Bakti Inovasi bagi Masyarakat (BIMA) ini untuk mentransferkan pengetahuan dan teknologi kepada mitra Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah (UMKM) di Desa Tasikmadu, yaitu UD Sumber Rejeki. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan melalui penyuluhan, pelatihan, dan pendampingan. Tim pelaksana menyebarkan kuesioner dan melakukan wawancara kepada pelaku UMKM di Desa Tasikmadu. Sementara Focus Group Discussion khusus pada UD Sumber Rejeki sebagai mitra untuk mengurai permasalahan. Kegiatan BIMA ini memiliki Tingkat Kesiapterapan Teknologi (TKT) level 5 yang memiliki dasar penelitian sebelumnya tentang produk pangan olahan berbasis ikan dan pendampingan UMKM di Kabupaten Trenggalek. Hasil transfer pengetahuan melalui penyuluhan berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman tentang kualitas bahan baku, resep sehat, variasi cita rasa, pentingnya digital marketing, dan kepemilikan legalitas usaha. Hasil alih teknologi berupa aplikasi pemasaran digital, perbaikan label, kemasan produk baru, dan hibah mesin pendingin berdampak pada peningkatan kualitas produk pangan olahan, perluasan jaringan pemasaran, peningkatan angka penjualan produk, dan meningkatkan kapasitas produksi. The purpose of the Bakti Innovation for Community (BIMA) program is to transfer knowledge and technology to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) partners in Tasikmadu Village, namely UD Sumber Rejeki. The method of implementing activities is through counseling, training, and mentoring. The implementation team distributed questionnaires and conducted interviews with SMEs in Tasikmadu Village. Meanwhile, a Focus Group Discussion was held with UD Sumber Rejeki's members to solve problems. This BIMA activity has a Technology Readiness Level (TKT) level 5, which has the basis of previous research on fish-based processed food products and mentoring MSMEs in the Trenggalek Regency. The results of knowledge transfer through counseling have succeeded in increasing understanding of the quality of raw materials, healthy recipes, variety of flavors, the importance of digital marketing, and ownership of business legality. The results of technology transfer in the form of digital marketing applications, improved labels, new product packaging, and refrigeration machine grants have an impact on improving the quality of processed food products, expanding marketing networks, increasing product sales figures, and increasing production capacity.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan dan optimalisasi order makanan melalui delivery di UMKM yang berada di Sentra Wisata Kuliner Convention Hall Surabaya. Kegiatan yang dilakukan mencakup penyuluhan pelayanan prima dan pembuatan serta optimalisasi Google Maps yang dilengkapi dengan foto produk. Metode yang digunakan meliputi ceramah, diskusi, simulasi pelayanan, praktek langsung penggunaan Google Maps, dan teknik pengambilan foto produk yang menarik. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan dalam kualitas pelayanan, manajemen keluhan, dan visibilitas tempat serta produk di Google Maps. Pelaku UMKM menjadi lebih responsif dan ramah terhadap pelanggan, sementara tampilan foto produk yang menarik di Google Maps meningkatkan daya tarik dan kemudahan dalam melakukan order makanan secara online. Kesimpulannya, pelatihan ini berhasil meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan dan visibilitas online yang berujung pada peningkatan penjualan melalui delivery food order di Sentra Wisata Kuliner Convention Hall Surabaya. Disarankan untuk melakukan evaluasi dan pelatihan rutin untuk menjaga dan meningkatkan hasil yang telah dicapai.

Abstract

This community service aims to assist the village government of Ambeng-ambeng Watangrejo in Duduksampeyan Sub-District, Gresik Regency in registering and monitoring immigrants and conducting independent home isolation as a result of implementing the Widespread Social Restrictions Policy (PSBB) during the COVID-19 pandemic. The village government and the 19th level COVID task force are facing hurdles in collecting data and monitoring the isolated population. So there is a need for an online village information system that can record and monitor the population. The community is served through socialization methods and by assisting village officials and the Covid-19 task force in implementing the village information system. A community service outcome is a village information system that the village government can use to provide services to the community.
