Abstract

The community service aims to increase the capacity of Universitas Qamarul Huda Badaruddin (UNIQHBA) lecturers in processing and analyzing science education research data using STATA Software. The method of community service was used for interactive training for two weeks with the Zoom application for 37 lecturers from UNIQHBA. To determine the participants' ability to use the STATA software, practice processing and data analysis were carried out using a science education case study guide provided by the facilitator. The evaluation was carried out at the end of the training to get participants' responses through online questionnaires that were then analyzed descriptively. The results of this community service were that as many as 89.32% of the participants were able to complete the practice correctly based on the assignments given, 89.74% of the presentations given by the facilitator were clear and easy to understand and will use STATA for the processing and analysis of their research data because it was easy to use. Most of the participants recommended further training using the STATA Software.

Abstract

Penurunan tajam penglihatan selain dipengaruhi oleh katarak juga disebabkan oleh penyakit yang mempengaruhi retina. Pekerjaan yang banyak terpapar sinar matahari tanpa pelindung, juga diperkirakan mempengaruhi tajam penglihatan. Penduduk di wilayah Puskesmas Kopang memiliki keadaan sosial ekonomi dan tingkat pendidikan yang masih rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pekerjaan terhadap tajam penglihatan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Puskesmas Kopang, Lombok Tengah mulai April sampai Mei 2018. Rancangan penelitian adalah cross sectional dengan jumlah sampel 73 responden yang berumur 40 tahun keatas yang diambil secara simple random sampling. Pengukuran tajam penglihatan menggunakan Tumbling E, data pekerjaan diambil dengan wawancara langsung mengenai aktivitas responden dari jam 10.00 sampai 14.00 wita tanpa pelindung mata, untuk mengetahui signifikasi data di analisis menggunakan uji Mann – Whitney menggunakan program SPSS versi 16.0 dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95% (? =0.05). Berdasarkan hasil analisis statistik, pekerjaan berpengaruh secara signifikan (P<0.05) terhadap tajam penglihatan yakni sebesar 41.1%, artinya pekerjaan luar ruangan tanpa pelindung dapat menyebabkan terjadinya penurunan tajam penglihatan sebesar 41.1%.

Abstract

Low vision affected by cataracts is also caused by retina disease. Diabetes is a disease that affects the retina. The population in the Kopang Health Center area has a low socioeconomic and education. The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of diabetes mellitus on visual acuity. This study is non-experimental with a cross-sectional method and was carried out involving 73 respondents as sample aged 40 years, who were taken by simple random sampling in Kopang Primary Health Care, Central Lombok. Statistical analysis shows this study revealed that diabetes mellitus was significantly (P <0.05) influenced to visual acuity was equal to 42.5%, it mean that diabetes mellitus was found in 42.5% of those with low vision.

Abstract

The aim of this  study was to evaluate the influence of hypertension to visual acuity. This study is non experimental with cross-sectional method and was carried out involving 73 respondents as sample from a population of 244 people aged 40 years, who were taken by simple random sampling in Kopang Primary Health Care, Central Lombok. Statistical analysis shows, this study revealed that the hypertension was significantly (P kurang dari 0.05) influenced to visual acuity was equal to 47.9%, it mean that hypertension was found in 47.9% of those with low vision.

Abstract

This study reported the staging of process on developing a mobile application for real-time data management information system on monitoring and feedback in early childhood education, it can help tracking child care and education and assist teacher in monitoring and feedback on child services. A study was carried out to gather necessary information through data mapping, in-depth interviews with key stakeholders, document reviews, application development, direct entry in the field using mobile development, application testing and analysis that was conducted on for 253 respondents. To obtain a full picture on early childhood education, data on child growth and education shall be mapped and linked in one application. We introduce a mobile app to systematically compile the individual as well as group data across different aspects of child life, ranging from child education. Using a tablet PC or mobile phone, data could be easily entered at any time by the person. Due to still poor infrastructure at the grass root level, the system also allows a safety store offline that could automatically link to server when network connection is available. The immediate data entry will provide real-time data report that could be accessed by any relevant stakeholders at any levels to response accordingly. However, to avoid misuse of data, the access will also be restricted with a secured login system. Based on the study, this application is easily applicable for real-time monitoring and evaluation on early child education.

Abstract

Despite the recognized benefits of project-based learning (PjBL), there remains a need to empirically investigate how collaboration within PjBL frameworks, especially when leveraging local resources, impacts the development of science process skills in practicum settings. This study examines whether collaborative project‑based learning (PjBL) using locally available coagulants enhances high‑school students’ science process skills (SPS) in a soft cheese‑making practicum.  This study used A quasi‑experimental, one‑group pretest–posttest design was implemented with secondary students enrolled in a practicum course (N = 30). SPS were assessed with a validated rubric covering observing, following instructions, recording data, classifying, predicting, inferring, and conducting investigations. Paired t‑tests evaluated pre–post changes; significance was set at p < 0.05, posttest means ranged from 3.27 to 3.72 on a 4‑point scale. All SPS indicators showed statistically significant pre–post improvement (paired t range ≈ 13.87–15.06; p < 0.001), indicating that collaborative PjBL contextualized with Calotropis gigantea and Solanum indicum supports SPS development in low‑resource laboratory settings. Implementing collaborative PjBL leveraging local coagulants showed improvements in students’ SPS within the practicum. Because no control group was analyzed, claims of comparative superiority over traditional methods are not warranted; future studies should include a control group and independent‑samples tests on gain scores.

Abstract

Pengetahuan yang dimiliki seseorang pada dasarnya berupa konsep-konsep. Konsep-konsep ini diproleh individu sebagai hasil berinteraksi dengan lingkungan. Dengan konsep-konsep dapat disusun suatu prinsip, yang dapat digunakan sebagai landasan dalam berpikir. Asy’ari (2006) menyatakan bahwa pembelajaran IPA pada hakikatnya mencakup beberapa aspek yaitu faktual, keseimbangan antara proses dan produk, aktif melakukan investigasi, bepikir deduktif dan induktif, pengembangan sikap, oleh karena itu IPA merupakan ilmu empirik yang membahas tentang fakta dan gejala alam maka dalam pembelajarannya harus faktual, artinya tidak hanya secara verbal sebagaimana terjadi pada pembelajaran secara tradisional.

Abstract

Pendidikan sains memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk sikap ilmiah peserta didik. Salah satu pendekatan yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan sikap ilmiah adalah pembelajaran proyek kolaborasi berbasis potensi lokal. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan model pembelajaran ini pada praktikum IPA dan dampaknya terhadap pengembangan sikap ilmiah siswa. Penelitian menggunakan desain quasi-eksperimen dan tehnik pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling, penelitian ini melibatkan 30 siswa kelas XII di MA di Pondok Pesantren Qamarul Huda, Lombok Tengah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran proyek kolaborasi berbasis potensi lokal berpengaruh secara signifikan (p<0.05) dalam meningkatkan sikap ilmiah siswa, peningkatkan sikap ilmiah tertinggi pada indikator senang belajar sains (89.25%) dengan kategori Sangat baik sedangkan indikator sikap ilmiah terendah pada implikasi sosial (83.75%) dengan kategori baik. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi signifikan bagi pengembangan strategi pembelajaran inovatif di bidang pendidikan sains.

Abstract

Pembelajaran proyek kolaborasi (collaborative project-based learning) memungkinkan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah dalam berbagai konteks pendidikan dan industri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pembelajaran proyek kolaborasi dalam konteks pembuatan keju lunak, sebuah produk penggumpalan protein susu yang membutuhkan ketelitian dan pemahaman proses yang kompleks. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kuantitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan penilaian performa kelompok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran proyek kolaborasi secara efektif meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik, terutama dalam aspek komunikasi (x=4,07; SD=0,17), dan kerjasama kelompok (x=3,88; SD=0,09). Kesimpulannya adalah pembelajaran proyek kolaborasi efektif dalam meningkatkan pemecahan masalah dalam pembuatan keju lunak. Temuan ini konsisten dengan literatur yang menyatakan efektivitas pembelajaran berbasis proyek dalam konteks pengembangan keterampilan praktis dan kognitif. Rekomendasi diberikan untuk penguatan manajemen kinerja dan evaluasi dalam proses pembelajaran agar hasilnya lebih optimal. Studi ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan metode pembelajaran inovatif yang relevan dengan kebutuhan industri makanan dan pendidikan.

Abstract

This study examines respondent and university type responses to science process skills instruments integrated with automated feedback on science practicum performance assessments at 2 state college and 2 private college in West Nusa Tenggara Province. A Kruskal-Wallis test was performed utilizing case study and cluster random sampling. Data was collected using online survey, interviews, and direct observations. Three hundred seventy-six university students and teachers from four universities were studied. Since there was no standard instrument, science process skills performance was not assessed. The assessment results show no statistically significant difference (p > 0.05) between state and private college in measuring science process skills integrated with real-time feedback on science practicum. This suggests that neither university has conducted such an assessment. No significant difference in responses between university students and lecturers regarding the measurement of science process skills on performance assessments integrated with real-time feedback in science practicum (p > 0.05), implying that university students and lecturers have the same experience. This study advises developing science process skills measurement on performance assessment for real-time science practicum feedback.
