Abstract

Fusarium oxysporum L. is a fungus responsible for causing plant wilt disease in various horticultural crops. Meanwhile, Bandotan (Ageratum conyzoides L.) is commonly known as a weed that contains secondary metabolites with antifungal activity. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the effect of Bandotan stem and leaf extract on the growth of Fusarium oxysporum in chili (Capsicum annuum L.) infected during the germination phase. Evaluation of stem and leaf extract was carried out separately using a one-factor Complete Randomized Design (CRD). A total of four experimental units were used consisting of C+ (sprouts not infected with Fusarium sp. and not given stem or leaf of Bandotan extract), C- (sprouts infected with Fusarium sp. but not given stem or leaf of Bandotan extract), T1 (sprouts soaked with stem or leaf of Bandotan extract and infected with Fusarium sp.), and T2 (sprouts infected with Fusarium sp., and given stem or leaf of Bandotan extract). Each experimental unit was repeated five times, and parameters observed included disease severity, as well as dry and wet weight. The results showed that based on ANOVA test at the 5% significance level, the administration of 60% dry Bandotan stem extract to chili sprouts before Fusarium sp. infection significantly reduced disease severity. However, when the treatment was carried out after sprouts were infected, disease severity was not reduced. The administration of Bandotan leaf extract to sprouts both before and after being infected with Fusarium sp. reduced disease severity but a decrease in dry weight was also observed

Abstract

Background & Aims: This study seeks to investigate and analyze the relationship between Work-Life Balance, Burnout, and Competence and Nurse Job Satisfaction at Rumah Sakit Umum Soedarso. The reason this research conducted were because many health worker were burnout and resigning from their works. Regional Public Hospital Method: questionnaire designed by the author, 338 health workers were surveyed to collect data. Using a probability-based sampling technique, 80 nurses were selected as samples, and the data were analyzed using Multiple Linear Regression Analysis Results: Work-Life Balance is positively correlated with job satisfaction (P 0.05), whereas Burnout is negatively correlated with job satisfaction (P 0.05), and Competence is positively correlated with job satisfaction (P 0.01). Work Life Balance has a positive and significant effect on Nurse Job Satisfaction at Rumah Sakit Umum Soedarso Pontianak; Burnout has a negative and significant effect; and Competence has a positive and significant effect on Nurse Job Satisfaction at Rumah Sakit Umum Soedarso Pontianak Conclusion: The conclusion that can be drawn is that hospitals must pay attention to early indications of fatigue so that they can prevent the resignation of health workers and in order to increase productivity by providing facilities that can improve work balance.

Abstract

Belimbing wuluh termasuk salah satu jenis tanaman yang dapat ditemui di pekarangan rumah. Nama ilmiah tanaman ini adalah Averrhoa bilimbi L. Masyarakat di Pekon Banjar Agung Udik umumnya menggunakan buah belimbing wuluh untuk campuran dalam suatu masakan, namun bagian-bagian lain seperti daun, bunga, dan batang kurang mendapat perhatian, sehingga perlu dilakukan suatu upaya untuk melakukan pelatihan dan praktik dalam menggunakan tanaman belimbing wuluh untuk meningkatkan kesehatan. Metode yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah ceramah, diskusi, pelatihan dan dilanjutkan dengan praktik penggunaan tanaman belimbing wuluh. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini diperoleh peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam menggunakan tanaman belimbing wuluh yang lebih bervariasi. Hasil rerata nilai pretest yang diberikan adalah 74,29 . Hasil rerata nilai post-test yaitu 95,71. Terjadi peningkatan sebesar 21,42 poin. Hasil kegiatan dalam pengabdian ini masyarakat di Pekon Banjar Agung Udik dapat menerapkan penggunaan semua bagian tanaman belimbing wuluh untuk meningkatkan kesehatan dan dapat menyebarluaskan informasi tentang manfaat tanaman belimbing wuluh.

Abstract

Anggrek Dendrobium sp. adalah salah satu jenis anggrek yang diminati dalam pasar anggrek. Masalah kekeringan merupakan salah satu kendala dalam aktivitas pertumbuhan anggrek secara fisiologis maupun morfologis. Salah satu cara yang dapat digunakan untuk mengembangkan kultivar anggrek Dendrobium sp. yang resisten terhadap cekaman kekeringan yaitu dengan seleksi kultur in vitro planlet dengan PEG 6000. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kisaran konsentrasi PEG 6000 yang toleran terhadap cekaman kekeringan dan menganalisis kandungan klorofil serta indeks stomata pada planlet anggrek Dendrobium sp. yang mengalami kekeringan. Penelitian ini menggunakan PEG 6000 dengan 5 taraf : 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, dan 20% dengan 5 kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi PEG 6000 yang toleran terhadap cekaman kekeringan pada planlet anggrek Dendrobium sp. yaitu 20%. Semakin besar konsentrasi PEG 6000 maka kandungan klorofil a, b, dan total pada planlet anggrek Dendrobium sp. dan indeks stomata semakin menurun. Kata Kunci: Dendrobium, in vitro, PEG 6000.
