Abstract

This study was designed to examine and compare learning achievement in Civics (PKn) and Sundanese Language among grade IV students of SDN 4 Awirarangan, Kuningan Regency, Academic Year 2025/2026, following the application of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model. TGT was chosen because its group-based competitive structure is considered capable of promoting greater student involvement in learning. The study adopted a quantitative approach with a one-group post-test only design involving 21 students as research participants. Data collection was carried out using validated post-test instruments, which were subsequently analyzed through descriptive statistics, the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, and the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test. Findings revealed a mean score of 60.95 for Civics (38.1% passing rate) and 67.62 for Sundanese Language (71.4% passing rate). Despite this descriptive gap, the Wilcoxon test produced Z = -1.288 with a significance level of 0.198 > 0.05, indicating that H₀ was retained. Accordingly, no statistically significant difference was found between student learning outcomes in the two subjects under the TGT model. These results point to TGT’s potential as a cross-disciplinary instructional approach whose effectiveness is shaped by contextual variables including content difficulty and student readiness. Abstract

This study aims to determine differences in mathematical problem-solving skills in cube material between male and female students after applying the Discovery Learning model in Grade IV SDN 4 Awirarangan, Kuningan Regency. This quantitative study used a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research subjects were all 21 Grade IV students, consisting of 12 male and 9 female students. The research instrument used was a problem-solving test based on Polya's stages: understanding the problem, devising a plan, carrying out the plan, and looking back. The data analyzed were posttest scores grouped by gender. Data analysis included the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Levene's homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing using the Independent Sample t-Test or Mann-Whitney U Test at significance level α = 0.05. The results showed that there is a significant difference in mathematical problem-solving ability between male and female students, with t = 6.664 and significance < 0.001. The mean posttest score of female students (85.55) was significantly higher than that of male students (46.66). Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Discovery Learning model produced a significant difference in mathematical problem-solving ability in cube material between male and female students in Grade IV SDN 4 Awirarangan, Kuningan Regency.

Abstract

The post-pandemic era has accelerated educational transformation and encouraged schools to adopt adaptive learning approaches that are flexible, technology-based, and student-centered. This study aims to analyze the principal's strategies in implementing adaptive learning as part of educational transformation at SDN 1 Nagri Kidul Purwakarta. The study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection techniques were designed through interviews, observations, and documentation studies focusing on school leadership, curriculum management, teacher development, and learning innovation. Data analysis referred to the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The findings indicate that adaptive learning implementation requires strategic leadership through strengthening digital infrastructure, improving teacher competence, developing flexible curriculum management, and establishing collaborative educational partnerships. The principal plays a central role in planning, organizing, directing, and controlling educational programs to ensure learning adaptation according to students' needs. The implementation of adaptive learning contributes to improving student engagement, learning effectiveness, and educational quality in the post-pandemic era. The study concludes that adaptive learning can become an effective strategy in supporting sustainable educational transformation when supported by visionary leadership, organizational readiness, and continuous professional development.

Abstract

Science and Social Studies (IPAS) learning within the Merdeka Curriculum demands the implementation of instructional models capable of facilitating active student engagement while optimally improving learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze the comparison of IPAS learning outcomes of third-grade elementary school students through the application of the Direct Instruction model in Chapter 4 (Energy and Its Changes) and the Problem Based Learning model in Chapter 6 (I Am Part of Society). The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental one-group comparative design. The research subjects consisted of 20 third-grade students from the same class. Data collection used validated and reliable multiple-choice and short-answer tests. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Levene homogeneity test, and Independent Sample t-Test using SPSS version 26. Results showed that the mean learning outcomes of the Direct Instruction group was 81.25 (Good category) and the Problem Based Learning group was 94.5 (Very Good category), with a mean difference of 13.25. The Independent Sample t-Test yielded t = -4.321, df = 38, and Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05, thus H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. These findings indicate a significant difference between IPAS learning outcomes through Direct Instruction and Problem Based Learning models, where Problem Based Learning proved more effective in improving third-grade elementary school students' learning outcomes

Abstract

Low student learning outcomes in the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject are a common issue in elementary schools. This study aimed to determine the effect of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model, supported by the concrete learning aid MEDAROREMI (Media for the Impact of Earth's Rotation and Revolution), on the IPAS learning outcomes of Grade VI students at SDN 1 Awirarangan regarding Chapter 5, Sub-chapter B: The Impact of Earth's Rotation and Revolution. A quantitative research method employing a pre-experimental "one-group pretest-posttest" design was used. The population consisted of all students at SDN 1 Awirarangan, with a sample of 22 students from class VI-A selected via purposive sampling. The research instrument consisted of multiple-choice questions administered before and after the intervention. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, and a paired-sample t-test for hypothesis testing. The results showed an increase in the average score from 59.09 (pretest) to 63.64 (posttest). The learning mastery rate rose from 36.4% to 45.5%. The average N-Gain score was 0.12, falling into the "low" category. The paired t-test yielded a t-value of 1.000 with a p-value of 0.329 (> 0.05), leading to the acceptance of the null hypothesis (H0). These findings indicate that the implementation of PBL supported by MEDAROREMI requires improvement and strengthened scaffolding in subsequent learning cycles. Abstract

This training program aimed to enhance the competence of 70 science teachers in Cirebon Regency to implement deep learning approaches emphasizing higher-order thinking skills and contextual learning. Conducted over 3 months using training and mentoring methods with an evaluative approach using a pretest-posttest design. Results showed 92.9% retention rate with average scores increasing from 82.71 to 85.82 (+3.11 points). Significant transformation occurred: 100% elimination of low-medium category participants and increase in very high category from 47.1% to 80%. Program evaluation achieved 4.76/5.0 rating, with material relevance, concept understanding, and facilitator quality receiving highest scores. This program effectively transforms the paradigm of deep learning, which is often technology-oriented, into a more contextual and easily implementable learning approach that aligns with the Merdeka Curriculum and SDGs Goal 4. Post-training mentoring is needed to enhance teachers' confidence in independent implementation.
