Abstract

In the era of globalization, multinational companies increasingly rely on expatriate assignments to support the success of international business operations. However, differences in values, norms, and cross-cultural communication patterns often pose significant challenges that affect expatriates’ adaptation processes and job performance in host countries, making cross-cultural training an important strategy in international human resource management. This study aims to gain an in-depth understanding of how expatriates interpret their experiences of participating in cross-cultural training and how such training influences their adaptation processes and performance in international business environments. This study employs a qualitative approach with a phenomenological study design. The research subjects are expatriates working in multinational companies in Southeast Asia, particularly in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed using thematic analysis to identify patterns of meaning related to cross-cultural training experiences, adaptation processes, cross-cultural communication challenges, and perceptions of job performance. The findings indicate that cross-cultural training is perceived as an essential process that helps expatriates understand local values and norms, enhance cultural sensitivity, improve cross-cultural communication skills, and strengthen self-confidence in carrying out professional tasks. These findings confirm the strategic importance of cross-cultural training in supporting successful expatriate adaptation and improved performance, and therefore highlight the need for its systematic integration into international human resource management policies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tantangan dan strategi adaptasi budaya organisasi pada perusahaan multinasional yang beroperasi di Indonesia dari perspektif cross-cultural management. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, dimana data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi pada beberapa perusahaan multinasional. Hasil penelitian mengidentifikasi tiga tantangan utama, yaitu kompleksitas komunikasi lintas budaya, konflik nilai dan norma kerja, serta resistensi terhadap perubahan dan standarisasi global. Sebagai respons, ditemukan empat strategi adaptasi dominan yang efektif: implementasi cross-cultural training yang terkontekstualisasi, pengembangan localization dalam kepemimpinan dan kebijakan, pembentukan cross-cultural liaison teams, dan pembangunan shared vision melalui komunikasi inklusif. Simpulan penelitian menegaskan bahwa strategi adaptasi budaya yang berhasil bersifat integratif dan dinamis, menciptakan sintesis "budaya ketiga" yang memadukan elemen terbaik budaya korporasi global dengan kepekaan terhadap konteks lokal untuk meningkatkan kinerja operasional dan keunggulan kompetitif.

Abstract

This context necessitates a critical reassessment of International Human Resource Management (IHRM) and Global Talent Management (GTM) practices to sustain employee engagement and long-term organizational performance—especially in emerging markets like Indonesia, where glocal (global-local) tensions shape HR dynamics. This study aims to analyze how IHRM and GTM strategies contribute to enhancing employee engagement and sustainable organizational performance in MNCs. Using a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical design, this research employs library research. The population comprises peer-reviewed academic literature; the sample consists of 10 purposively selected journal articles (2018–2025). Data were collected via documentation and systematic keyword searches (e.g., “Global Talent Management”, “Employee Engagement”) across academic databases (Emerald, Springer, ProQuest, MDPI). Sources include scholarly journals, research reports, and case studies of MNCs in Indonesia. Data analysis applied content and thematic analysis through three stages: data reduction, thematic categorization, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal three core pillars: (1) digital transformation as a strategic enabler for talent management, (2) glocal strategy integration balancing global standards and local adaptation, and (3) language competence (particularly English) as essential career capital. Furthermore, human-centric HR practices and inclusive employee voice mechanisms significantly strengthen emotional, cognitive, and behavioral engagement. The study implies that MNCs should adopt adaptive IHRM frameworks that harmonize global cohesion, cultural sensitivity, and ethical digital integration key for talent retention, organizational resilience, and sustainable competitiveness in volatile global markets.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kualitas produk terhadap keputusan pembelian Motor Matic Honda Scoopy melalui brand image. Populasi penelitian ini pada wilayah Pejagalan - Jakarta Utara sebanyak 150 responden dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah Struktural Equation Model (SEM) dan menggunakan Partial Least Square (PLS). Hasil penelitian dalam penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa kualitas produk tidak berpengaruh langsung secara signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian, brand Image berpengaruh langsung terhadap keputusan pembelian, kualitas produk berpengaruh langsung terhadap brand image, dan kualitas produk melalui brand image berpengaruh langsung terhadap keputusan pembelian

Abstract

Tingginya tekanan kerja dapat menyebabkan burnout dan meningkatkan turnover intention, sehingga perusahaan perlu memahami peran workload dan perceived organizational support dalam menjaga kestabilan tenaga kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh workload dan perceived organizational support terhadap turnover intention dengan burnout sebagai variabel mediasi pada karyawan sales di perusahaan dagang cahaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan metode kuantitatif dengan survei melalui kuesioner kepada 80 responden, yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling dengan sample jenuh/sensus, kriteria karyawan bagian sales. Analisis menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Workload berpengaruh positif terhadap burnout tetapi tidak berpengaruh terhadap turnover intention. perceived organizational support berpengaruh negatif terhadap burnout dan turnover intention. Selain itu, burnout terbukti berpengaruh positif terhadap turnover intention dan berperan sebagai mediasi antara workload maupun perceived organizational support terhadap turnover intention. Implikasi praktis dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perusahaan perlu mengevaluasi ulang workload dengan menyesuaikan jangka waktu dalam mencapai target penjualan yang ditetapkan sesuai dengan kondisi masing-masing wilayah pemasaran yang ditangani. Perusahaan memberikan petunjuk atau arahan mengenai strategi Penjualan, kendala atau komplain pelanggan. Serta, perusahaan perlu rutin memantau kondisi kesehatan mental karyawan, dengan penerapan program pencegahan burnout seperti pelatihan manajemen stres atau aktivitas tim juga bisa menjadi strategi yang efektif untuk mempertahankan karyawan.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of product diversity and service quality on repurchase intention in a modern retail context, with customer satisfaction positioned as an intervening construct. An explanatory quantitative approach was employed, drawing on data collected from 110 consumers of Superindo Daan Mogot through a structured questionnaire. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to examine both direct and indirect relationships among the variables. The results indicate that product diversity and service quality do not exert significant direct effects on repurchase intention. Instead, both variables demonstrate a significant influence on customer satisfaction, which in turn shows a strong positive effect on repurchase intention. These findings suggest that repeat purchasing behavior is shaped less by isolated retail attributes and more by consumers’ evaluative judgments of their overall shopping experience. Customer satisfaction therefore operates as a key explanatory mechanism through which retail performance attributes are internalized into behavioral intention. This study shows that, in a relatively standardized supermarket environment, product diversity and service quality shape repurchase intention primarily through customer satisfaction rather than through direct effects. From a practical perspective, the findings suggest that retail strategies should focus on integrating product assortment quality and service delivery in ways that consistently enhance customer satisfaction and support long-term customer retention.

Abstract

Perubahan budaya organisasi di sektor publik merupakan elemen penting dalam mendukung reformasi birokrasi dan digitalisasi layanan pemerintah. Penelitian kualitatif studi kasus ini mengadaptasi pendekatan etnografi dan longitudinal untuk mengkaji proses perubahan budaya pada instansi pemerintahan di Indonesia yang menerapkan Sistem Pemerintahan Berbasis Elektronik (SPBE) dan reformasi kelembagaan. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan 5–7 informan, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis tematik menunjukkan bahwa transformasi tidak hanya memengaruhi struktur dan teknologi, tetapi juga nilai dan pola pikir pegawai. Terdapat pergeseran dari budaya kaku dan hierarkis menjadi lebih kolaboratif, terbuka, dan inovatif, meski menimbulkan resistensi awal terutama di kalangan pegawai senior. Keberhasilan perubahan budaya dipengaruhi oleh keterlibatan aktif pegawai, kepemimpinan transformasional, serta komunikasi dan pelatihan yang berkelanjutan. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pendekatan partisipatif dan bertahap, yang menggabungkan strategi administratif dan perubahan mindset, menjadi kunci dalam menciptakan birokrasi yang adaptif dan responsif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh motivasi kerja, pengembangan karir, dan keterlibatan karyawan terhadap kinerja karyawan di PT Sandi Karya Wiguna, sebuah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang Mekanikal dan Elektrikal Engineering, dengan menggunakan metode analisis Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) melalui program SmartPLS 3. Pengumpulan data dilakukan terhadap karyawan PT Kreatif Nusantara Mandiri menggunakan kuesioner terstruktur. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 57 responden yang dipilih melalui teknik non-probability sampling. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa dari tujuh hipotesis yang diuji, lima hipotesis mengindikasikan adanya pengaruh positif signifikan antar variabel yang diteliti. Motivasi kerja dan pengembangan karir terbukti memiliki pengaruh positif signifikan terhadap keterlibatan karyawan, sementara keterlibatan karyawan berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Selain itu, ditemukan bahwa keterlibatan karyawan memediasi hubungan antara motivasi kerja dengan kinerja karyawan, serta antara pengembangan karir dengan kinerja karyawan. Namun demikian, dua hipotesis lainnya menunjukkan pengaruh positif namun tidak signifikan, yaitu motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan dan pengembangan karir terhadap kinerja karyawan.

Abstract

This article discusses innovation strategies in change management to build organizational resilience in an era of disruption. Constant change and technological disruption have driven organizations to develop strong adaptability and innovation capabilities. This research identifies various strategies that can help organizations face change better, as well as the importance of building organizational resilience to remain relevant and competitive amidst current market dynamics. In an era of ever-growing disruption, change management, and innovation are the main keys for organizations that want to survive and develop. By focusing on adaptability, inclusive leadership, risk management, digital transformation, and a culture of innovation, organizations can face complex challenges. Abstract

Employees are valuable assets whose work engagement must be maintained, especially in a dynamic creative industry such as Malacca Advisory, where work engagement is influenced by various factors including perceived organizational support. This study aims to analyze the role of perceived organizational support on work engagement with self-efficacy and entrepreneurial bricolage as mediators among 60 employees of Malacca Advisory at Malacca Enterprise Indonesia. Using purposive sampling with a census method, data were collected through an online questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling – Partial Least Square. The results showed that perceived organizational support has a positive and significant effect on self-efficacy, entrepreneurial bricolage, and work engagement. Entrepreneurial bricolage has a positive and significant effect on work engagement and is proven to partially mediate the relationship between perceived organizational support and work engagement, while self-efficacy has no significant direct or mediating effect. The implication of this research is that organizations need to strengthen perceived employee support, clarify work structures, and encourage bricolage behavior to enhance work engagement, particularly in the context of creative industries with limited resources.
