Abstract

Climate change impacts increasing temperature, and environmental factors can affect the capacity and rate of seed germination. This study aimed to determine and study the effect of temperature changes on the viability and vigor of brown rice seeds and the morphology of the sprouts produced. The variation of temperature used was 28-400C, and ten genotypes of brown rice seeds used were Pulen Mudiak, Pulen Kandih, Pulen Marapak, Pulen Talao, 64, Sibandung, Silalang, Timbo Abu, Labuah Baru, and Melayu. The results showed that every 10C increase in temperature affects rice germination percentage. The optimum temperature for the germination of ten genotypes of brown rice tested was a temperature range of 28-330C, with a germination value of >80%, the maximum critical temperature 370C and at 38-40 0C no brown rice seeds germinated. Pulen Marapak has the highest maximum growth potential of 90,3% at 280C and 10% at 370C. The increase in temperature also damages brown rice roots and shoots dengan the average root length is 6,7-10,1 cm and shoot length is 8-11,5 cm at 280C.

Abstract

Bawang merah merupakan tanaman hortikultura yang memiliki nilai ekonomis tinggi Peningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil bawang dapat dilakukankan dengan pemberian  pupuk, diantaranya pupuk organik cair limbah kulit pisang kapok.  Penelitian telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober 2021 sampai dengan Januari 2022 di Lubuk Minturun, Kecamatan Koto Tangah, Kota Padang,Sumatera Barat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk menentukan konsentrasi pupuk organik cair kulit pisang kepok yang dapat memberikan hasil optimal untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 taraf konsentrasi pupuk organik cair kulit pisang kepok yaitu: 0 ml/l air, 150 mL/L air, 200 ml/l air,dan 250 mL/L air. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji F pada taraf 5%, apabila F hitung lebih besar dari F tabel maka dilanjutkan dengan Uji Duncan’s New Multiple Range Tes (DNMRT) pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk organik cair kulit pisang dengan konsentrasi 150 ml/l memberikan pengaruh terhadap hasil tanaman bawang merah varietas SS Sakato.

Abstract

In this study, computer learning for young children in TK Muslimat Nahdatul Ulama Kota Palembang is described. The study takes a qualitative approach while using the descriptive method. The study's informants were computer teachers. In order to collect data for this study, observational methods, interview methods, and documentation methods were used. Data triangulation techniques are utilized for data analysis. Children's computer education at TK Muslimat Nahdatul Ulama Kota Palembang has produced successful results. Children are offered computer learning materials by their teachers, which progress from the easiest to the most challenging. To make it easier for kids to acquire computer information, teachers employ a variety of computer learning techniques, including cooperative ways, tutorial methods, demonstration methods, training methods and practice, and game-based learning. In its implementation, there are still obstacles faced by children’s, teachers, and computers used.

Abstract

Mitra Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini adalah mahasiswa tingkat akhir prodi Kimia Jurusan Kimia Universitas Negeri Makassar. Ditemukan bahwa kebanyakan mahasiswa tingkat akhir masih banyak yang belum mengenal lebih dalam dan mengoperasikan instrument Kromatographi Cair Kinerja Tinggi (HPLC). Sulawesi Selatan sebagai salah satu Kawasan industri memerlukan tenaga kompetitif yang memiliki kemampuan mengoperasikan alat instrument dilaboratorium yang menunjang analisis suatu sampel terutama bahan alam. Oleh karena itu, mahasiswa diharapkan dibekali pengetahuan bagaimana cara mengoperasikan alat HPLC. Metode blanded learning (BL) menjadi salah satu metode yang cukup efektif berupa ceramah dan diskusi dikelas dilanjutkan dengan praktek langsung di laboratorium instrument Jurusan kimia. Hasil kemitraan menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam teknik analisis sampel obat tradisional menggunakan instrument HPLC dan tingkat kepercaayn diri mereka dalam menghadapi dunia kerja setelah lulus perkuliahan.

Abstract

Everyday, an estimated 300 million women and girls menstruate. The main problem for adolescents during menstruation is the lack of knowledge about menstrual hygiene management (MHM). During menstruation, women should really be able to keep the reproductive organs extra clean, especially the vaginal part, because if they are not kept clean, it will cause excess microorganisms and can interfere with reproductive function. The purpose of this community service is to identify the knowledge and understanding of students about menstrual hygiene management. This activity was attended by as many as 150 students. The method used in this community service through several stages, including compiling an activity plan, coordinating and advocating with the school, the second stage, namely implementation by providing material on online menstrual hygiene management with ZOOM teleconferencing media, evaluating activities through Google Form. This community service was carried out at SMA IT Nurul Ilmi. The need for comprehensive reproductive health assistance and education related to menstrual hygiene management for young girls

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Brainstorming method and the Buzz Group method in providing IEC for reproductive health at the AurDuri Youth Health Center Posyandu in Jambi City in 2019. This research is a quasi-experimental study using a pretest and posttest design with control group design. The population is all adolescents who visit the posyandu as many as 60 people. Samples were taken using a total sampling technique of 30 treatment groups given the Brainstorming method and 30 people received the Buzz Group method. The research instrument was a questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out univariately to determine the frequency distribution, then bivariate analysis using the dependent t-test to see differences in knowledge before and after giving the brainstorming method and the Buzz Group method. The results showed that there was a difference in the mean increase in respondents' knowledge before and after using the brainstorming method with a mean difference of 1.233 and the difference in knowledge before and after using the buzz group method, namely 3.133. While the results of the analysis of differences in knowledge using the brainstorming method and the buzz group with a p value of 0.000, the difference in the mean value of 2.689 means that the buzz group method is more effective in increasing adolescent knowledge about reproductive health than the brainstorming method. It is suggested that the puskesmas should provide guidance to youth posyandu using a variety of varied methods such as buzz groups in providing IEC for reproductive health

Abstract

The implementation of digital payments in micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia is one of the important steps to increase business competitiveness in the digital era. The Community Service Program (PKM) aims to provide digital literacy assistance to MSME actors by focusing on the implementation of digital payment systems, such as e-wallets and QRIS. This activity was carried out by a team of lecturers from Prasetiya Mandiri Polytechnic and PGRI Palembang University, which involved practical training and direct assistance to MSMEs. Through this training, it is hoped that MSME actors can optimize the use of digital payment technology to improve transaction efficiency and expand their market reach. In addition, intensive assistance is also provided to overcome technical obstacles in the implementation of the digital payment system. The results of this program show that MSME actors who participate in this mentoring experience increased understanding and skills in using digital payment technology, which has an impact on increasing the competitiveness and operational efficiency of their businesses. This program also makes a positive contribution to the development of MSMEs that can adapt to technological developments and an increasingly digital market.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the use of Canva as an interactive learning medium at the elementary school level. Canva, an easy-to-use graphic design platform, offers great potential to create engaging, creative, and visual learning experiences for students. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method involving grade IV students in an elementary school as research subjects. Data collection techniques include observations, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation of student work using Canva. The results of the study show that the use of Canva can increase student interactivity, creativity, and motivation to learn. Students actively participate in learning, mainly when creating posters, infographics, or presentations describing the concepts being taught. Material comprehension has also improved, especially on topics that require visual representation. While several obstacles are related to device access and student adaptation time, the benefits of using Canva in learning are significant. This study suggests that teachers should regularly integrate Canva into their learning to improve the student learning experience and provide training on how to use Canva to maximize its use. Further research is needed to examine the long-term impact and compare it with other interactive learning media

Abstract

The Nagari Manggopoh is a central area for agricultural product corn, mainly corn for livestock, in Lubuk Basung District, Agam Regency, West Sumatra, Indonesia. The corn kernels produced are sold to animal feed processing factories. However, the corn stalk waste left after harvest is typically burned, leading to land biota damage and air pollution. This community service project aims to raise awareness and demonstrate the process of converting corn plant waste into compost. The project involved socializing, training, and practical demonstrations on composting corn crop waste. These activities have been conducted through counseling sessions, focus group discussions, and hands-on training from June to August 2022. Following the activities, an evaluation was conducted through discussions with the participants. The project's initial result was that ten stakeholders participated in the socialization of using corn crop waste for composting. Additionally, 15 Batang Piarau Jorong Sago farmer group members in Kenagarian Manggopoh have received training and successfully produced compost from corn stalk waste generated from animal feed crops.
