Abstract

Waste management is an environmental issue that requires active community participation, including students as agents of change. One effective approach is the implementation of a Waste Bank, which not only reduces waste generation but also increases environmental awareness through the 3R practice. Good knowledge of waste management is believed to encourage more positive behavior, so this study aims to analyze the relationship between increased knowledge and waste management behavior among students majoring in Environmental Health at the Padang Ministry of Health Polytechnic. The study used a cross-sectional design with 140 students as samples through total sampling. Data were obtained using a questionnaire that was measured. knowledge before and after the educational intervention as well as waste management behavior. The analysis was performed univariately and bivariately using the Chi-Square test. The results showed that of the 78 students who experienced an increase in knowledge, 57 (73.1%) had good waste management behavior. Meanwhile, in the group of students whose knowledge level remained the same (62 students), only 35 people (56.5%) exhibited good behavior. This finding indicates that students who experienced an increase in knowledge tended to have better waste management behavior than those who did not experience any change in knowledge. The Chi-Square test showed a p-value of 0.040, which means there is a significant relationship between increased knowledge and waste management behavior. In conclusion, increased knowledge contributes positively to students' waste management behavior. It is recommended that educational institutions strengthen education and the practice of waste banks on an ongoing basis, as well as develop collaborative programs to raise environmental awareness.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of job transfers and physical work environment on employee performance at PT SMEP PACIFIC, with job satisfaction as a mediating variable. The research focuses on the manufacturing sector, which is currently experiencing a decline in workforce productivity. The uniqueness of this study lies in the integration of job transfer and physical work environment variables within a single structural framework, with job satisfaction serving as a mediator. The selection of research location and timing adds contextual relevance to the organizational dynamics. A quantitative approach was employed, using primary data collected from 115 respondents through questionnaires. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the assistance of LISREL 8.80 to examine the relationships among variables simultaneously. The results indicate that job transfers positively affect both job satisfaction and employee performance, directly and indirectly through the mediating role of job satisfaction. In contrast, the physical work environment does not directly influence job satisfaction but contributes to performance improvement indirectly. Some variables show significant roles in shaping performance, while others exhibit inconsistent effects. This study is limited to a specific sector and location, thus its findings may not be generalizable to broader contexts. The results offer practical insights for policymakers and industry practitioners in designing more adaptive job transfer strategies and managing work environments, while also serving as a reference for academics in developing human resource performance theories.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work enthusiasm and work discipline on employee performance, by considering the mediating role of work-life balance policies at the Sirnajaya Village Office. The novelty of this research lies in its integration of work-life balance as a mediating factor between motivation, discipline, and performance an approach that remains underexplored in public sector organizations at the village level. A quantitative approach was employed, involving 94 respondents selected from a population of 123 employees using Slovin’s formula with a 5% margin of error. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with LISREL version 8.8. The results indicate that both work enthusiasm and discipline have a significant positive impact on employee performance. Enthusiasm also positively affects work-life balance, while discipline shows a negative relationship with it. Furthermore, work-life balance was found to partially mediate the relationship between the independent variables and performance. The study is limited to a single village office with a relatively small sample size, which may restrict broader generalization. Nonetheless, the findings highlight the importance of balancing motivation and discipline through supportive work-life balance policies to enhance sustainable employee performance.

Abstract

Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) is a chronic disease characterized by elevated random blood glucose ≥200 mg/dL or fasting blood glucose ≥126 mg/dL, resulting from defects in insulin secretion, insulin action, or both. Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus constitutes a global health threat with a projection of 28.57 million cases in Indonesia, predicted to become a significant financial burden on the National Health Insurance System by 2045 with costs ranging from 1.6 Trillion to 3 Trillion Rupiah. This study analyzes the comparative effectiveness of Insulin versus Oral Antidiabetic Drug treatment patterns in BPJS outpatients through systematic literature review using PRISMA protocol through a primary article search on Google Scholar for the 2020-2025 period resulting in 309 articles, 299 articles did not meet the criteria for inclusive inclusion, and the remaining 10 articles continued to the assessment analysis stage. Findings reveal therapeutic equivalence of both modalities with non-significant Hba1c reduction difference (0.123%; P=0.608), yet Oral Antidiabetic Drugs demonstrate economic superiority with Metformin-Sulfonylurea combination being more Cost-Effective than Metformin-Insulin (P<0.001). Patient characteristics, comorbidities, and adherence significantly influenced therapeutic response, with 79% of patients demonstrating suboptimal glycemic control. Effectiveness variability was determined by institutional clinical protocols, and the INA-CBG rate of new-generation insulin achieved a profit margin of 3.30%. The Study provides empirical evidence for optimizing stepwise therapy algorithms prioritizing Oral Antidiabetic Drugs before Insulin Escalation within Indonesia's Health Coverage Context.

Abstract

Moringa leaves contain bioactive compounds such as flavonoids and polyphenols which have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. The benefits of adding Moringa leaves to chicken porridge as infant formula is that it can enhance the nutritional quality of the porridge, making it a more balanced and complete meal. The protein content from the chicken combined with the vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants from Moringa leaves creates a good synergy for infant growth.  Adding Moringa leaves to chicken porridge as infant formula is a smart step to enhance the nutritional value of infant food. The benefits of making Moringa leaf chicken porridge are not yet widely known by the public, so its use for daily consumption is still rare. Therefore, we conducted an educational activity on making moringa leaf chicken porridge for PKK mothers and Posyandu cadres in Pangkalan Jati, Cinere, Depok. This community service initiative involved educating PKK cadres about the benefits of adding Moringa leaves to chicken porridge by providing training on how to make chicken porridge with Moringa leaves, so it can be applied by families and the surrounding community to improve public health and serve as complementary food to enhance breast milk production.

Abstract

The increasing demand for improving educational quality requires schools to adopt innovative and collaborative management approaches. This study aims to analyze the implementation of school management based on knowledge transfer at SD Negeri 03 Doro, Pekalongan Regency. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design to explore in depth the processes, mechanisms, and impacts of knowledge transfer in improving school management quality. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings reveal that the implementation of knowledge transfer-based management has been carried out systematically through planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating functions. Knowledge transfer occurs through collaborative activities such as mentoring, coaching, co-teaching, and sharing best practices among teachers. This process contributes significantly to improving teachers’ competencies, instructional quality, and participatory decision-making. Furthermore, it strengthens school governance and enhances community trust. The novelty of this study lies in integrating knowledge transfer as a structured managerial strategy in primary school management, rather than merely informal knowledge sharing. However, the study is limited to a single research site and constrained by variations in teacher competencies and resource availability. Future research is recommended to expand the scope and apply mixed methods to obtain more comprehensive findings.

Abstract

Ordinal logistic regression is one of the statistical methods used to model response variables with two or more categories that have levels. This study aims to model the cumulative grade point average data of undergraduate graduates of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Mulawarman University in 2023 using ordinal logistic regression. Estimation of ordinal logistic regression model parameters is done using the Maximum Likelihood Estimation (MLE) method and Newton-Raphson iteration. The best model selection was conducted using the stepwise method based on the smallest Akaike Information Criterion (AIC) value and significant predictor variables. The selection process started with six predictor variables, then gradually eliminated three predictor variables because they were not significant and did not reduce the AIC value. The stepwise stage stopped at the model with three significant predictor variables that had an AIC value of 349,22. The results showed that the factors that had a significant effect on the cumulative grade point average of undergraduate graduates of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Mulawarman University based on the best ordinal logistic regression model were study program, age, and admission pathway.
