Abstract

Kualitas visual lanskap pada kawasan Kebun Raya Jompie Parepare dievaluasi dengan menggunakan metode survei dan kuesioner. Tahapan penelitian terdiri atas persiapan, identifikasi, survei dan analisis data. Data dianalisis dengan metode Scenic Beauty Estimation (SBE) untuk penilaian kualitas estetika. Hasil evaluasi estetika pada lanskap Kebun Raya Jompie Parepare menghasilkan nilai SBE yaitu 0-130,43. Nilai SBE tertinggi berada pada area rekreasi, sedangkan terendah berada pada welcome area. Kualitas SBE tertinggi bernilai 130,43 terdapat pada lanskap area rekreasi, SBE dengan kualitas sedang bernilai 91,30 terdapat pada lanskap area rekreasi, dan SBE dengan kualitas rendah bernilai 0,00 terdapat pada welcome area. Welcome area memiliki keindahan lanskap rendah yaitu pada tempat parkir karena disebabkan oleh nilai visual yang kurang menarik, terlihat dari kurangnya vegetasi dan kompenen hard material yang kurang dipadukan pada area tapak. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh titik lanskap dengan nilai yang rendah dapat diperbaiki yaitu dengan penambahan vegetasi tanaman, terutama tanaman yang memiliki nilai dan fungsi arsitektural seperti tanaman hias dan jenis pohon peneduh yang berfungsi untuk melindungi kendaraan dari sinar matahari langsung pada welcome area yaitu tempat parkir, selain itu perlu juga penataan ulang tapak untuk memadukan antara hard material dengan soft material.

Abstract

Semakin berkurangnya lahan pertanian menyebabkan perlunya teknologi yang menggunakan lahan terbatas seperti vertikultur. Vertikultur merupakan teknologi budidaya tanaman yang dilakukan secara vertikal sehingga menghemat lahan dan air. Teknologi semacam ini sangat baik diterapkan dalam pengembangan sayur organik karena teknik bertanam seperti ini tidak langsung menyentuh tanah yang biasanya mengandung bahan pemcemar sehingga sayur yang dihasilkan akan aman untuk konsumsi manusia. Kata kunci: vertikultur, sayur organik

Abstract

ABSTRAK Peluang agribisnis pertanian organik khususnya padi organik terbuka luas bagi petani khususnya yang tergabung dalam kelompok tani karena tingginya permintaan konsumen pada hasil pertanian organik yang sangat baik bagi kesehatan dan juga bernilai ekonomi tinggi. Masalah yang dihadapi adalah minimnya pengetahuan petani tentang produksi tanaman padi organik dan penggunaan benih organik bermutu untuk menunjang produksi tanaman. Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan pada Mitra Kelompok Tani Botolempangan, Dusun Baddo Ujung, Desa Tompobulu Kecamatan Tompobulu, Kabupaten Maros. Kegiatan ini berupa alih iptek ke petani untuk meningkatkan pendapatan petani melalui usaha perbenihan padi organik, pengolahan limbah pertanian (biomassa tanaman dan limbah ternak) menjadi pupuk organik dan pembuatan pestisida organik untuk digunakan dalam budidaya padi. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan adalah: penyuluhan/pendampingan teori dan pelatihan/pendampingan  praktek. Paket teknologi yang diintroduksi berupa teknik pembuatan pupuk organik dari limbah pertanian (padat dan cair) alami yang sumber bahan bakunya berbasis lokal, teknik produksi benih padi organik dan teknik budidaya padi berbasis produk alami mulai dari persiapan lahannya sampai pascapanen. Hasil PKM menunjukkan bahwa petani sangat antusias dalam mempelajari sistem pertanian padi organik. Hal tersebut  terlihat dari kehadiran Dinas Pertanian setempat dan tingkat kehadiran petani yang rata-rata tinggi yaitu sekitar 40 orang dari 20 orang yang di undang pada semua tahapan kegiatan. Lahan percontohan terpelihara dengan sangat baik sehingga pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tanaman juga sangat baik. Kata kunci: Pertanian organik, benih organik, padi organic, desa mandiri benih, pemberdayaan petani.   ABSTRACT Opportunities for organic farming agribusiness, especially organic rice, are wide open for farmers, especially those who are members of farmer groups because of the high consumer demand for organic agricultural products which are very good for health and also have high economic value. The problem faced is the lack of knowledge of farmers about organic rice crop production and the use of quality organic seeds to support crop production. The community service activities were carried out at the Mitra Perkasa Tani Botolempangan, Baddo Ujung Hamlet, Tompobulu Village, Tompobulu Subdistrict, Maros Regency. This activity is in the form of transferring science and technology to farmers to increase farmers' income through organic rice seeding businesses, processing agricultural waste (plant biomass and livestock waste) into organic fertilizers and making organic pesticides for use in rice cultivation. The methods used in the implementation of the activity are: counseling / theoretical assistance and training / practical assistance. The technology package introduced was in the form of techniques for making organic fertilizers from natural (solid and liquid) agricultural waste with local-based raw material sources, organic rice seed production techniques and rice cultivation techniques based on natural products ranging from land preparation to post-harvest. PKM results show that farmers are very enthusiastic in studying the organic rice farming system. This can be seen from the presence of the local Agriculture Office and the high level of farmer attendance, which is about 40 out of 20 people invited to all stages of the activity. The demonstration plot is very well preserved so that the growth and development of plants is also very good. Abstract

Bawang merah salah satu produk pertanian yang bernilai ekonomi tinggi dan menjadi fokus pengembangan utama oleh para petani. Oleh karena itu, perlu penerapan teknologi dan cara budidaya yang baik serta berkelanjutan untuk memastikan kelangsungan pasokan bawang merah. Dalam hal ini penggunaan biji botani, biochar batang jagung dan pupuk organik cair dapat menjadi solusi yang potensial. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mempelajari dosis biochar batang jagung dan pupuk organik cair yang memberi pengaruh terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi bawang merah asal biji botani. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Experimental Farm, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Hasanuddin, Kota Makassar, Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan, pada bulan Juli – November 2023. Penelitian disusun dalam bentuk rancangan percobaan faktorial 2 faktor (F2F) dalam rancangan acak kelompok (RAK). Faktor pertama yaitu dosis biochar batang jagung yang terdiri atas 3 taraf yaitu tanpa biochar; 5 t ha-1; dan 10 t ha-1 biochar. Sedangkan faktor kedua yaitu konsentrasi pupuk organik cair yang terdiri dari 4 taraf yaitu tanpa POC; 1 mL L-1; 2 mL L-1; dan 3 mL L-1 pupuk organik cair. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terjadi interaksi antara biochar batang jagung dan pupuk organik cair pada seluruh parameter pengamatan. Biochar batang jagung 10 t ha-1 memberikan pengaruh terbaik pada jumlah daun (11 helai), jumlah umbi (1,25), bobot segar tanaman (30,50 g), bobot kering tanaman (26,12 g), bobot umbi segar (27,22 g) bobot umbi kering (24,65 g), diameter umbi kering (3,86 cm) dan susut bobot umbi (8,11%), berat per petak (1,43 kg) dan produksi per hektar (13,73 t). Pupuk organik cair 3 mL L-1 memberikan pengaruh terbaik pada parameter jumlah daun (11,32 helai), berat per petak (1,33 kg) dan produksi per hektar (12,80 t).

Abstract

This research aims to study the effect of sugarcane bagasse biochar and Moringa leaf LMO's local microorganisms on sugarcane seedlings' growth. This research was carried out at the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Hasanuddin University, Makassar, South Sulawesi, in June - October 2023. This research is arranged in the form of an experiment using a Split Plot Design (SPD), with the main plot being the LMO of Moringa leaves, which consists of 3 levels, namely 0 mL/L water, 200mL/L water, and 400 mL/L water. The subplot is sugarcane bagasse Biochar dosages, which consist of 4 levels, namely 0 g, 50 g, 100 g, and 150 g per plant. Each treatment combination consisted of 3 plant units and was repeated three times, so that there were 108 experimental units. The study results showed no interaction between the LMO concentration of Moringa leaves and the dose of bagasse biochar on all observed parameters. Moringa leaf LMO 200 mL/L water had the best effect on the highest number of tillers. 100 g sugarcane bagasse biochar gave the best impact on the highest chlorophyll levels, the highest chlorophyll b content LMO, and the highest total chlorophyll content, while 150 g bagasse biochar gave the best effect on the highest increase in stem diameter and the highest root fresh weight.

Abstract

Sebuah kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilaksanakan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan petani terhadap teknologi budidaya permakultur dan penggunaan benih bermutu dalam mendukung peningkatan produksi tanaman. Mitra pada kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah Kelompok Tani Sandang dan Kelompok Tani Bukit Soe Desa Pamboborang. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah dalam bentuk penyuluhan kepada mitra petani. Penyuluhan dilaksanakan pada hari Sabtu, tanggal 11 Januari 2025 di Desa Pamboborang, Kecamatan Banggae, Kabupaten Majene dengan materi terkait teknologi permakultur dan pengenalan karakter dan peran serta manfaat benih bermutu dalam budidaya tanaman pangan dan hortikultura. Penyuluhan yang dilaksanakan mendapatkan respon yang positif dari kelompok tani mitra dan memberikan manfaat berupa peningkatan pengetahuan tentang teknologi budidaya permakultur yang meliputi implementasi budidaya tanaman di pekarangan dengan cara yang ramah lingkungan. Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan mitra tentang pentingnya menggunakan benih bermutu dari varietas unggul untuk mengoptimalkan produksi tanaman di lahan pertanian baik dalam skala rumah tangga di pekarangan untuk para petani wanita maupun dalam skala yang lebih besar di kebun.    Kata kunci: Benih bermutu, penyuluhan, permakultur, ramah lingkungan. ABSTRACT A community service activity was carried out to increase farmers' knowledge of permaculture cultivation technology and the use of high-quality seeds to support increased crop production. The partners in this community service activity were the Sandang Farmer Group and the Bukit Soe Farmer Group. The method used was a lecture in the form of an extension program for the farmer partners. The extension activities were held on Saturday, January 11, 2025, in Pamboborang Village, Banggae Sub-district, Majene District, covering topics related to permaculture technology and an introduction to the characteristics, roles, and benefits of high-quality seeds in the cultivation of food crops and horticultural plants. The extension activities received a positive response from the farmer groups. They provided benefits in the form of increased knowledge about permaculture cultivation technology, including the implementation of crop cultivation in backyard gardens using environmentally friendly methods. Additionally, the partners gained knowledge about the importance of using high-quality seeds from superior varieties to optimize crop production on agricultural land, both on a household scale in backyard gardens for female farmers and on a larger scale in orchards. Abstract

This research aimed to analysis the effect of various types of organic fertilizer and mulch types on growth and production of tomato plants. Research was conducted at Liliriaja District, Soppeng Regency, South Sulawesi on January-June 2023. This research used a factorial 2 factor experiment in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) as the environmental design. The first factor is organic fertilizer with 3 types: chicken compost 15 tons ha-1, cow manure 15 tons ha-1, and goat manure 15 tons ha-1. The second factor is mulch with 3 types: without mulch, 10 tons ha-1 rice husk mulch, and plastic mulch. The results showed that there was an interaction between chicken compost fertilizer and rice husk mulch at the number of fruit / plot (260.00 fruits), fruit weight / plot (8.00 kg) and production (26.67 tons ha-1). Chicken compost in 15 ton ha-1 gave the highest number of fruit /plant (18.93 fruits) and fruit weight/plant (727.00 g).

Abstract

Strengthening the production of quality local fruit is a must, given the unmet demand of the domestic market which is still dominated by imported fruit. This is an opportunity to optimize areas that are centers of superior fruit production, one of which is Bantaeng Regency with its superior fruit, strawberries. Problems in the development of strawberry agribusiness are related to the suboptimal performance of the supply chain. The research aims to map the supply chain, and supply chain management of strawberry agribusiness; identify the driving and inhibiting factors in the strawberry agribusiness supply chain; and to analyze the performance of the strawberry agribusiness supply chain in Bantaeng Regency. The research method used a qualitative approach with the support of quantitative data. Data collection was conducted through interviews, literature studies, and observations. Data processing used the help of POMWIN software ver. 3.0. The results showed that the strawberry supply chain in Bantaeng Regency is categorized as multi-channel, the supply chain management includes traditional and partnership patterns, the main driving factors are the potential for agro-tourism development and high demand, while the inhibiting factors include difficulties in obtaining quality seeds, and supply chain institutions

Abstract

Cocoa rejuvenation is important to maintain high productivity. The rejuvenation mainly uses seedlings; thus providing high-quality seedlings is important. This research aimed to determine the effect of various doses of cow manure compost and the density of Bacillus subtilis bacteria on the growth of cocoa seedlings. The research was implemented at the Teaching Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, Hasanuddin University, Makassar City, from 2021 to 2022. The experiment was arranged in a split-plot design with three replications. The main plot was the dose of cow manure (without compost, 1.25 kg per polybag, and 2.5 kg per polybag). The subplot was the density of Bacillus subtilis (without bacteria, 104 CFU.mL-1, 108 CFU.mL-1, and 1012 CFU.mL-1). The results showed an interaction between the dose of cow manure 2.5 kg per polybag and the bacterial density 1012 CFU.mL-1 on chlorophyll a (347.91 mol.m-2), chlorophyll b (158.33 mol.m-2), total chlorophyll (444.57 mol.m-2), and leaf area of cocoa seedlings (813.96 cm2). A compost dose of 2.5 kg per polybag showed the best results for plant height (8.98 cm). Keywords: bacteria density; bivariate correlation; chlorophyll content; manure dose; organic fertilizer

Abstract

Penerapan teknologi drip fertigasi pada Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) dilakukan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi penggunaan air, waktu, dan tenaga kerja dalam pemeliharaan di kebun sayuran. Teknologi drip fertigasi (penyiraman dan pemupukan secara tetes dan bersamaan) sebagai upaya mengatasi dampak negatif perubahan iklim (kekeringan) yang banyak dialami oleh kelompok tani termasuk KWT Selasih. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan, wawasan, dan keterampilan mitra mengenai teknologi drip fertigasi agar produksi dan kualitas sayuran meningkat. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga membekali mitra dengan keterampilan pengolahan bahan organik menjadi pupuk kompos dan pupuk organik cair (POC), pengenalan ecoenzim, dan sistem pertanaman secara permakultur. Kegiatan pengabdian ini berlangsung sejak September-November 2025 di KWT Selasih, Kelurahan Bangkala, Kecamatan Manggala, Kota Makassar. Kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang budidaya sayuran menggunakan drip fertigasi berbasis gravitasi. Hasil pre-test menunjukkan 50% dari anggota KWT sudah memiliki pengetahuan tentang apa yang dimaksud dengan teknologi drip fertigasi serta manfaatnya dalam budidaya tanaman sayuran. Bahkan 75% dari anggota KWT sudah mengetahui bahwa penggunaan teknologi drip fertigasi dapat meningkatkan efisiensi penggunaan air, dan hampir semua anggota KWT sudah bisa membedakan antara teknologi drip fertigasi dengan metode penyiraman tradisional. Setelah penyuluhan, pengetahuan anggota KWT terkait teknologi drip fertigasi meningkat dengan menunjukkan jawaban 100% benar. Kegiatan ini juga menempatkan seperangkat teknologi drip fertigasi berbasis gravitasi di kebun mitra. Informasi kegiatan ini juga telah tersebar melalui media online dan channel Youtube.    Kata kunci: Drip fertigasi, pertanian perkotaan, kelompok wanita tani, sayuran.   ABSTRACT The application of drip-fertigation technology in the Women Farmers Group (KWT) was carried out to improve the efficiency of water use, time, and labor in maintaining vegetable gardens. Drip-fertigation technology (watering and fertilizing simultaneously) is an effort to overcome the negative impacts of climate change (drought) which is widely experienced by farmer groups including KWT Selasih. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge, insight, and skills of partners regarding drip-fertigation technology to increase vegetable production and quality. In addition, this activity also equips partners with skills in processing organic materials into compost and liquid organic fertilizer (POC), an introduction to ecoenzymes, and permaculture planting systems. This community service activity took place from September to November 2025 at KWT Selasih, Bangkala Village, Manggala District, Makassar City. This activity succeeded in increasing knowledge and skills about vegetable cultivation using gravity-based drip-fertigation. Pre-test results showed that 50% of KWT members already had knowledge about what is meant by drip fertigation technology and its benefits in vegetable cultivation. In fact, 75% of KWT members already know that using drip fertigation technology can increase water efficiency, and almost all KWT members can differentiate between drip fertigation technology and traditional watering methods. After the extension, KWT members' knowledge of drip fertigation technology increased, with 100% of the answers being correct. This activity also included the placement of a gravity-based drip-fertigation technology kit in partner gardens.
