Abstract

The current Covid-19 vaccination has reached most people throughout Indonesia. The main focus of this spectrum is on handling the Covid-19 pandemic through the provision of vaccines in Indonesia. The pandemic's impact is indisputably clear, especially in the Stunting Management Programs, which are likely not optimal and require a viable strategy in handling it. Objective: This study aims to identify the strategy of health workers in tackling stunting in rural areas during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Method: This study employs a quantitative descriptive design where the population involved are health workers holding nutrition programs from health centres in rural areas in the province of Bali. The sampling technique in this study utilizes a non-probability sampling technique, namely purposive sampling of 34 respondents. Afterwards, data collection was done online, with the inclusion criteria for health workers working as nutrition program holders and community health centres in rural areas. This study indicates that 55.90% of health workers are not well-performing at dealing with stunting during the pandemic, while 44.10% of them show positive performance. Therefore, prevention of stunting by health workers during a pandemic is one of the indicators of whether stunting is in a high or low incidence.

Abstract

Increasing human resources is one of Indonesia's efforts to build a golden Indonesia in 2045. Stunting is the current nutritional issue that Indonesia is dealing with. The Indonesian government has created a national strategy to accelerate stunting reduction through families involving health workers known as the Family Companion Team (TPK). According to the results of the evaluation of stunting prevention programs, most local governments have been unable to implement activities to accelerate stunting reduction. This research aims to determine the role of the family companion team in finding new cases of families at risk of stunting. Data collection in this study was carried out using multiple random sampling techniques, distributing questionnaires to 62 TPK in the working area of Puskesmas II Blahbatuh, the inclusion criteria for this study were TPK who had been listed in the Regent's Decree (SK), domiciled in the working area of the puskesmas II Blahbatuh and willing to be a respondent. This research hypothesis test uses Chi square. The results of this study show that there is no significant relationship between the role of TPK in finding new cases of families at risk of stunting and a p value > 0.05. The family approach is a good strategic innovation in providing assistance to families at risk of stunting, but it is not optimal in identifying new findings.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Introduction : Chronic hyperglycemia can cause blood vessel endothelial cells and nerve cells to become hyperglycolic. This condition results changes in various biochemical pathways, one of which is protein kinase C (PKC) which causes thickening of the arteries resulting in decreased ABI values. Decreasing the ABI value will disrupt of Schwann cell metabolism, so that it will cause impaired peripheral nerve delivery. Disruption of peripheral nerve delivery will cause a decrease of foot sensitivity. This study aimed to determine the relationship of ankle brachial index (ABI) with foot sensitivity in patient with diabetes mellitus type II in Public Health Center I of South Denpasar. Method : This study used cross sectional method. The number of samples of this research was 86 people collecting by purposive sampling technique. Data were collected used digital spygmonanometer and monofilament 10 g. Result : As many as 23 people with ABI vascular disorders and 42 people with decrease of foot sensitivity. Chi square test results obtained p = 0,000 with a significance value of p<0.05, so 0.000 <0.05 which shows that there is a relationship between ABI and foot sensitivity in patients with diabetes mellitus type II in Public Health Center I of South Denpasar. Discussion : Decrease of ABI value will following with decrease of foot sensitivity, if this isn’t prevented there is a risk of developing diabetic foot in patients with diabetes mellitus type II.
