Abstract

Fenomena Mukbang sebagai konten digital yang menampilkan seseorang mengonsumsi makanan dalam jumlah besar telah menjadi tren global, termasuk di Indonesia. Namun, praktik ini menimbulkan pertanyaan etis, terutama dalam konteks ajaran Islam yang menekankan kesederhanaan dan larangan terhadap pemborosan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pandangan al-Qur’an terhadap Mukbang dalam kaitannya dengan pemborosan makanan, dan mengkaji konsep israf dalam al-Qur’an dan merelevansikannya dengan fenomena Mukbang sebagai bagian dari budaya digital kontemporer. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kepustakaan (library research) dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan analisis tematik terhadap ayat-ayat al-Qur’an yang berkaitan dengan perilaku Mukbang dan israf menurut al-Qur’an. Hasil penelitian di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa pandangan al-Qur’an terhadap Mukbang dan pemborosan makanan menunjukkan praktik Mukbang terutama yang dilakukan secara berlebihan dan tidak sesuai kebutuhan termasuk dalam kategori israf atau pemborosan yang dilarang dalam Islam. Al-Qur’an secara tegas, seperti dalam QS. Al-A’raf [7]:31 dan QS. Al-Baqarah [2]:168, menekankan pentingnya sikap moderat dalam konsumsi dan melarang perilaku berlebih-lebihan. Selain itu, Mukbang juga dapat menyebarkan gaya hidup tidak sehat, yang bertentangan dengan prinsip Islam tentang menjaga kesehatan sebagai bagian dari tanggung jawab pribadi. Oleh karena itu, meskipun Mukbang berkembang sebagai hiburan modern, dalam pandangan Islam, praktik ini bisa dinilai bertentangan dengan ajaran al-Qur’an yang menekankan keseimbangan, moderasi, dan etika konsumsi.

Abstract

Di era digital seperti sekarang ini, media sosial dapat membawa banyak perubahan yang sangat cepat sehingga dapat menggeser nilai-nilai budaya yang sudah ada. Budaya flexing membawa tantangan besar terhadap umat Muslim yang mengikuti ajaran Al-Qur'an, yaitu untuk menjauhi sikap riya’, ujub, sombong. Tujuan penelitian ini, menganalisis pengertian budaya flexing perspektif Al-Qur’an dan psikologi sosial, dan mengkaji dampak budaya flexing di media sosial terhadap mentalitas masyarakat Muslim, serta mengeksplorasi solusi fenomena budaya flexing menurut Al-Qur’an dan pemikiran Ibnu Sina. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif-kualitatif dengan pendekatan kepustakaan (library research). Data yang digunakan berupa kitab tafsir, buku, jurnal ilmiah, dan artikel tentang fenomena flexing, psikologi sosial, dan pemikiran Ibnu Sina. Teknik analisis data yang diterapkan adalah analisis isi (content analysis). Hasil penelitian yaitu fenomena flexing dalam Al-Qur’an dapat dikaitkan dengan konsep seperti riya' (pamer) dalam QS. An-Nisa’: 38, ‘ujub (membanggakan diri) dalam QS. Al-Hadid: 23, takabbur (kesombongan) dalam QS. Fusshilat:15, dan hubbud dunya (cinta dunia) dalam QS. Al-Hadid:20. Menurut Ibnu Sina, flexing yaitu fenomena dimana seseorang memamerkan kekayaan, pencapaian, atau gaya hidup secara berlebihan untuk mendapatkan pengakuan atau validasi dari orang lain. Dampak budaya flexing yaitu pada individu, flexing merusak akhlak dan spiritualitas, mendorong konsumerisme dan pencarian validasi eksternal. Secara sosial, flexing memperparah ketimpangan, materialisme, dan persaingan tidak sehat. Secara psikologis, flexing memicu FOMO, kecemasan, dan ketidakpuasan. Serta solusi al-Quran yaitu mengedepankan nilai-nilai zuhud (kesederhanaan dan kepuasan hati) dan tawadhu' (kerendahan hati). Sedangkan solusi menurut Ibnu Sina pengendalian temperamen melalui meditasi, mengejar kebahagiaan sejati dengan pengembangan diri, menggunakan akal untuk menganalisis perilaku, dan mencari hikmah dari pengalaman.

Abstract

In the digital era, people are increasingly following trends that can be seen from social media such as Instagram and TikTok. This phenomenon can have a negative impact on life. A person will continue to follow trends that ultimately lead to regret. The main purpose of this study is to analyze the phenomenon of worldly love in the digital era based on the perspective of QS. Al-Hadid Verse 20 and what the impact of the influence of worldly love is in the digital era. This study also provides solutions based on the Qur'an to help people understand and overcome the negative effects of digitalization on spiritual values. This study uses a qualitative method with a library research approach. The data collection technique is carried out thematically (maudhu'i), making QS. Al-Hadid Verse 20 the center of analysis to explore the meaning of the verse in the context of the digital era. The results of the study, the love of the world in Surah Al-Hadid verse 20 includes la'ibun (something that does not bear fruit), lahwun (something that distracts humans from things that are useful and beneficial to them), ziinah (jewelry such as magnificent clothing), tafakhur (being proud of one another with lineage and parents who have become bones that have been destroyed), and takatsurun fil amwaali wal awlaad (boasting of one another). And the manifestation of love of the world is manifested in the form of social media addiction (La'ib and Lahwun), the emergence of (FOMO) "Fear Of Missing Out" (Takatsur), Showing Off Wealth or Lifestyle on the Internet (Flexing) (Tafakhur). Therefore, the Qur'anic solution recommended by the author is tajdid intention, digital zuhud, digital da'wah based on the afterlife, and finally tawazun (balance between the world and the afterlife)

Abstract

The phenomenon of harassment of kiai in a Trans7 broadcast on October 13, 2025, indicates a serious problem in religious ethics and public communication. As a figure of ulama and guardian of community morals, kiai holds a central position in the Nusantara Islamic tradition, so that respect for him is part of Islamic etiquette based on the values ​​of the Qur'an. This study aims to analyze media representations of kiai figures and examine how the principles of Islamic etiquette can become a framework for criticism of communication practices that demean the dignity of ulama. The method used is descriptive qualitative through content analysis and maudhu'i interpretation of Quranic verses on the ethics of speaking, respect for ulama, and social ethics, combined with Stuart Hall's representation theory. The results show that the media encoding process reflects the logic of entertainment capitalism that normalizes jokes about kiai. Meanwhile, audience decoding is divided into three positions: dominant, negotiating, and opposition. The Qur'anic perspective assesses that this practice is contrary to the principles of etiquette in QS. Al-Baqarah: 83, QS. Al-Ahzab: 70, and QS. Al-Hujurat: 2, 6, 11. This study emphasizes the importance of Qur'anic ethics as a critical paradigm in building a civilized media culture and maintaining the dignity of scholars.

Abstract

The increasing participation of women in professional careers in religious communities has given rise to new dynamics in family relations and social perceptions based on religious values. This study aims to analyze the construction of meaning for women pursuing careers through the perspectives of the Living Qur'an and Islamic feminism, as well as the transformation of social acceptance in the Kraksaan community, Probolinggo. Using a case study approach, the study involved 23 career women informants from various professions selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model and tested for validity through triangulation and member checking. The results show that internalization of Qur'anic values not only serves as a spiritual foundation but also as a social legitimacy for women's identities as professional breadwinners. In addition, the concept of religious professionalism emerged, namely the combination of competitive public performance and adherence to family values, resulting in a balanced role without triggering domestic or social conflict. This study contributes to the expansion of the Living Qur'an discourse by proposing a spiritual career feminism framework as a new paradigm in viewing the agency of modern Muslim women.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah dalam perspektif Jasser Auda serta relevansinya bagi pengembangan hukum Islam kontemporer. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konstruksi maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah menurut Jasser Auda, mengkaji pendekatan sistem (systems approach) yang ditawarkannya, serta menilai relevansi dan implikasinya terhadap ijtihad hukum Islam modern. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan kepustakaan (library research), dengan sumber data utama berupa karya-karya Jasser Auda dan didukung oleh artikel jurnal ilmiah berbahasa Indonesia yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah versi Jasser Auda bersifat dinamis, multidimensional, kontekstual, dan berorientasi tujuan (purposefulness), sehingga mampu menjembatani antara teks normatif dan realitas sosial. Pendekatan sistem memberikan kontribusi metodologis penting dalam memperkuat ijtihad hukum Islam agar lebih responsif terhadap tantangan kontemporer. Meskipun demikian, pendekatan ini masih menghadapi tantangan dalam aspek operasionalisasi dan penerapannya pada level hukum positif. Oleh karena itu, pemikiran maqāṣid Jasser Auda memiliki relevansi signifikan bagi pengembangan hukum Islam kontemporer, dengan catatan perlunya pengembangan metodologis lanjutan agar tetap menjaga batas normatif syariat.

Abstract

The implementation of learning activities and the habituation of Qur’anic reading at Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School, particularly in the Al-Hasyimiyah Area, still faces several challenges, including inconsistencies in students’ daily recitation, unstructured mentoring by guardians (wali asuh), and an underdeveloped monitoring system. The One Day One Page Program, which aims to habituate students to read one page of the Qur’an each day, has been implemented; however, it requires further strengthening in terms of mentoring and program management. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to strengthen the culture of Qur’anic literacy among students through the optimization of the One Day One Page Program based on wali asuh mentoring. The method employed is a descriptive-participatory approach consisting of planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation stages. Mentoring was carried out through technical coordination with area administrators and wali asuh, daily submission of one page of Qur’anic recitation to the wali asuh, and weekly monitoring using a simple recording instrument in the Student Activity Book for Female Students (BKSP). Program evaluation was conducted by analyzing daily and weekly recitation records as well as reflective discussions with wali asuh. The results indicate an improvement in students’ consistency in performing daily Qur’anic recitation, enhanced fluency in reading according to proper makhraj and tajwid rules, and a strengthened role of wali asuh in mentoring Qur’anic literacy. Overall, the One Day One Page Program based on wali asuh mentoring has proven to be an effective model for fostering Qur’anic literacy habits that is simple, practical, and sustainable within the pesantren environment.

Abstract

The growing materialism among today's youth often leads to a misunderstanding of success, which is measured only in material terms. This is a challenge in creating a balanced mindset between worldly and ukhrawi life. This study aims to analyze the relevance of the concept of isti'anah according to the interpretation of Bil Imla' by KH Zaini Mun'im in overcoming the temptation of materialism in adolescents. The approach used in this study is a literature review with interpretation analysis and a review of related literature. The results of the study show that the concept of isti'anah teaches Muslims, especially teenagers, to ask for help only from Allah SWT, which can be a solution to avoid the temptation of materialism. This concept also emphasizes the importance of a balance between temporal and spiritual pursuits, by always linking God's help through patience, prayer, and spiritual awareness. In conclusion, the interpretation of Bil Imla' can be an effective guideline to help adolescents form a more balanced mindset, avoid excessive materialism, and increase closeness to Allah in achieving true success.

Abstract

The religious condition of the millennial generation in the digital era is characterized by the openness of information, the intensity of social media use, as well as fatigue toward modes of Islamic teaching that are formal, rigid, and less communicative. One relevant approach to address this issue is Hans-Georg Gadamer’s hermeneutics. This study is a library research employing a qualitative approach, using the concepts of Wirkungsgeschichte (history of effect), pre-understanding, fusion of horizons, and application (Anwendung). The findings indicate that pesantren background, the oral culture of Madura, and Ismail’s engagement in the digital sphere shape a productive pre-understanding that gives rise to a strong adab? ijtim?‘? exegetical style, marked by contextual bi al-ra’yi interpretation and a popular–humorous tone. Surah al-Ikhl?? is read as a critique of the phenomenon of “semi-gods” and ego-idolatry; al-Falaq is interpreted as a “fissure” in the dynamics of life and as a critique of envy and competition in social media culture; while al-N?s is understood as a response to whisperings, inner anxiety, and the psychological pressures of the digital age. Thus, The Qur’anything presents a model of popular Qur’anic exegesis that bridges the authority of pesantren tradition with the spiritual and psychological needs of the millennial generation, while reaffirming the Qur’an as a living text that remains relevant to contemporary religious problems.
