Abstract

The utilization of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is generally considered as a strategy to achieve goals in addressing development challenges and social changes faced by communities. The implementation of ICT in the development of Smart Villages is an effort to effectively utilize technology in order to enhance the quality of life and public services at the village level. The objective of this study is to analyze the influence of information systems on the acceptance of technology in the development of Smart Villages in Hanura Village, Teluk Pandan District, Pesawaran Regency, Lampung Province, and Kertayasa Village, Sindang Agung District, Kuningan Regency, West Java Province. The research is designed as a quantitative approach supported by qualitative data (mixed methods). The research sample consists of 194 individuals selected through purposive sampling. The data collected includes primary and secondary data. Primary data is gathered through interviews using a questionnaire guide and field observations. Data analysis involves descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The findings of the study indicate that information quality has a positive and significant influence on the perceived usefulness of ICT and the perceived ease of use of ICT. Service quality has a positive and significant influence on all three dimensions of technology acceptance. However, there is no significant influence between system quality and user satisfaction with ICT. These results highlight the importance of attention to the quality of information delivered and the quality of services provided in the development of Smart Villages to enhance the acceptance and benefits of ICT utilization in Smart Village development.

Abstract

This article describes the results of a literature study on using video as a medium for student learning. This article is part of research on developing learning videos among students to support the achievement of educational goals in higher education. The literature study was carried out as a survey of research articles on using video as a student learning media published in national journals and proceedings using Indonesian. The study's results were analyzed descriptively into three main study focuses: 1) the orientation of the use of video as a student learning media, 2) the software used in producing learning videos, and 3) the types of videos used as learning media. The results of this literature study are expected to be a reference for lecturers and developers of learning videos to produce a variety of varied and quality learning videos

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology offers significant opportunities for rural transformation through the Smart Village concept. However, many residents still lack awareness and understanding of the benefits and implementation of Smart Village programs. This study aims to analyze how the Design Thinking theory can be applied in the design of digital content to increase public awareness of Smart Village initiatives in Kertayasa Village. Utilizing a qualitative method, the research employs Focus Group Interviews (FGIs) with 13 active social media users in the village, and in-depth interviews with village officials. The study adopts the Design Thinking framework a user-centered theory consisting of five stages: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. As a result, four digital posters and four short videos were created and distributed via WhatsApp and TikTok, the most commonly used platforms by the community. The findings reveal that the digital content significantly improved residents' understanding and pride in the Smart Village programs, especially in the areas of waste management (TPS 3R), SIMAK, and digital library. The novelty of this study lies in the contextual application of Design Thinking for content development in a rural digital literacy context, a topic that remains underexplored in existing literature. In conclusion, Design Thinking is proven to be an effective and adaptive method for designing impactful, user-centered digital communication strategies in rural development initiatives

Abstract

Digital transformation has pushed social media to become a strategic space for government institutions to convey information. PPSDM ANRI utilizes Instagram @pusdiklatanri to reach the public and educate about archives through visual and interactive content. This research is interestingly studied using Media Richness Theory which highlights the immediacy feedback, multiple cues, language variety, and personal focus. The method used is qualitative through observation, interviews with social media team, and literature study. This research aims to analyze how the @pusdiklatanri Instagram account is utilized to deliver archival information and education. It focuses on how strategically the account serves as a digital communication medium for PPSDM ANRI to reach the public. The results show that @pusdiklatanri functions not only as a formal information platform, but also as a dynamic interaction and education space. This success is reflected in the multimodal content, language variety, and emotional closeness through videos, stories, and Q&A. This confirms the effectiveness of strategically managed social media. In conclusion, @pusdiklatanri is able to fulfill the characteristics of rich media in Media Richness Theory. Future research is recommended to compare similar accounts in other institutions or add quantitative analysis related to audience engagement.

Abstract

Transformasi digital telah mendorong lembaga pendidikan untuk memanfaatkan media sosial sebagai sarana strategis dalam memperluas jangkaun dan membangun citra institusi. Instagram, sebagai platform berbasis visual yang didukung oleh algoritma dinamis, menawarkan peluang besar untuk meningkatkan visibilitas dan keterlibatan audiens secara organik. Dalam konteks ini, penelitian dilakukan untuk menerapkan serta mengevaluasi model konten Instagram berbasis algoritma dalam meningkatkan visibilitas Kampus Gratis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus dengan mempertimbangkan konteks sosial yang mempengaruhi keterlibatan pengguna di Instagram Berdasarkan teori Algoritma dan Machine learning dalam media sosial yang dikemukakan oleh Kaplan dan Haenlein (2010). Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi visual, dan dokumentasi konten Instagram. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar konten yang dipublikasikan oleh Kampus Gratis belum sepenuhnya dioptimalkan berdasarkan prinsip kerja algoritma Instagram. Temuan ini mengindikasikan perlunya pendekatan yang lebih terstruktur dan berbasis data dalam merancang serta mengelola konten Instagram agar sesuai dengan mekanisme distribusi algoritmik. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pengembangan model konten berbasis algoritma yang berfokus pada segmentasi audiens, analitik performa konten, serta pengelolaan komunitas digital untuk meningkatkan efektivitas komunikasi dan visibilitas platform pendidikan secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Humas berperan dalam membangun hubungan harmonis antara instansi dengan publiknya dengan menjalankan keterbukaan informasi publik. Perlunya proses komunikasi secara terstruktur dalam mendistribusikan informasi agar berjalan dengan baik, namun Humas Bea Cukai Bogor belum memiliki pedoman teori secara khusus untuk dijadikan acuan dalam distribusi informasi hanya mengandalkan peraturan yang ada. Sehingga, dibutuhkan suatu model komunikasi agar lebih terarah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui model komunikasi yang dilakukan Humas Bea Cukai Bogor dalam distribusi informasi. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, peneliti meminta informan menceritakan model komunikasi yang digunakan dan penelitian ini lebih menekankan pada teknik observasi, wawancara mendalam dan analisis dokumen. Humas Bea Cukai Bogor kini sudah menerapkan model komunikasi menurut Grunig dan Hunt yang mencakup empat model, yaitu model agen pemberitaan/publisitas, model informasi publik, model asimetris dua arah, dan model simetris dua arah. Berdasarkan penelitian yang sudah dilakukan, terlihat bahwa media sosial yang lebih dominan digunakan dalam penerapan model komunikasi. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa Humas sudah berupaya dalam menciptakan citra positif dan membina hubungan baik dengan publik.

Abstract

This project aims to develop a QR Code-based English digital audio guide as a solution to improve accessibility of historical information for international visitors at the Museum of the House of Representatives. The background of this activity is the unavailability of English-language guiding facilities that can be accessed independently by foreign tourists and students from international schools, which has an impact on the limited understanding of the collection and history of the Indonesian parliament. The research was conducted using the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) approach, which includes the formulation of narrative content, translation, audio recording, and testing with cultural staff and museum visitors. QR Code technology is used as a medium for audio distribution through mobile devices without additional applications. The development results show that the digital audio guide is able to improve foreign visitors' understanding of museum content, strengthen educational communication, and support the modernization of museum services. This product is expected to be an innovative model for the digitization of other museum education services in Indonesia. Further development recommendations include periodic content updates, language expansion, and multimedia integration.

Abstract

Meningkatnya penggunaan media sosial, khususnya TikTok, telah mengubah cara masyarakat mengakses informasi, termasuk dalam pemilihan produk perawatan kulit (skincare). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kredibilitas sumber pada akun TikTok @doctor.incognito_99 terhadap kepercayaan pengikut dalam memilih produk skincare. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode survei melalui kuesioner daring yang disebarkan kepada 100 responden yang merupakan pengikut aktif akun tersebut. Variabel kredibilitas sumber diukur melalui tiga dimensi: keahlian (expertise), dapat dipercaya (trustworthiness), dan daya tarik (attractiveness). Sementara itu, kepercayaan pengikut diukur melalui aspek kemampuan (ability), integritas (integrity), dan niat baik (benevolence). Hasil analisis regresi menunjukkan bahwa kredibilitas sumber berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepercayaan pengikut dalam memilih produk skincare, dengan koefisien determinasi sebesar 52,3%. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya sumber informasi yang kredibel dalam membentuk kepercayaan audiens di era digital, khususnya dalam konten edukasi kesehatan di platform media sosial.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the development of research on crisis communication in public relations, classify it based on trends, and identify potential variables for future research. This study uses a literature review method or bibliometric analysis approachThe research started with defining the keywords "crisis communication in public relations" and "articles" using the Publish or Perish application with Google Scholar as the database. Within the range of 2018-2023, 235 relevant research articles were found on the theme and analyzed using VOSViewer. The results of the study show the development trend of public relations crisis communication research which always examines companies that are experiencing a crisis and its resolution, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. ABSTRAK Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk menganalisis bagaimana perkembangan penelitian tentang komunikasi krisis public relations untuk kemudian diklasifikasikan berdasarkan trendnya serta untuk mengetahui apa saja topik yang dapat menjadi variabel pada penelitian dimasa yang akan datang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode literature review atau tinjauan pustaka yang menggunakan pendekatan analisis bibliometrik. Penelitian dimulai dari pendefinisian kata kunci “komunikasi krisis public relations” dan “artikel” pada aplikasi Publish or perish dengan google scholar sebagai database. Dalam rentang tahun 2018-2023 ditemukan 235 artikel penelitian yang relevan dengan tema dan dianalisis menggunakan VOSViewers. Hasil penelitian menunjukan perkembangan trend penelitian komunikasi krisis public relations yang selalu mengkaji perusahaan-perusahaan yang sedang mengalami krisis dan penyelesaiannya khususnya pada masa pandemi Covid-19.

Abstract

Social media has become a vital tool in building brand awareness in the digital era, particularly through visual platforms such as Instagram. This study aims to analyze the application of Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) strategies by Herstory an Indonesian online media outlet focusing on women's empowerment, in enhancing brand awareness through its Instagram account @herstory.coid. A descriptive qualitative method was employed utilizing data collection techniques such as content observation, in-depth interviews with the media team, and analysis of secondary data. The findings reveal that Herstory consistently implements various IMC elements such as digital advertising (Instagram Ads), public relations, direct marketing (direct messages), and sales promotions (giveaways and brand collaborations) to strengthen its visibility and emotional connection with a female audience. These strategies have proven effective in building brand image and increasing audience engagement, although improvements are still needed in terms of consistency and diversification of communication channels. This study provides valuable insights for other online media in designing integrated and relevant marketing communication strategies in the digital age.
