Abstract

Purpose: The use of gadgets among children is increasing, including in the home environment, which can affect their ability to concentrate at school. This study aims to identify the causes of Aisyiyah Kindergarten children in Dibal Village using gadgets at home and describe the impact on their concentration at school. Methodology: This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data was analyzed with a thematic analysis approach in accordance with the Miles and Huberman model, which involved three main stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification, namely integrated learning that uses themes to relate several subjects so that they can provide meaningful experiences to students, this is to find patterns in children's behavior related to the use of gadgets and their impact on concentration at school. Results: The results of the study show that the main causes of children using gadgets at home are for entertainment, following the habits of parents, and lack of alternative activities. Excessive use of gadgets leads to a decrease in children's concentration levels while studying at school. Applications/Originality/Value: In conclusion, the use of gadgets at home has a significant negative impact on children's concentration in Aisyiyah Kindergarten, so it is necessary to supervise and time the use of gadgets to minimize these negative impacts.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to explore the application of the ScratchJr coding application as an interactive learning medium to develop creativity in early childhood. The focus is on how digital tools can support creative expression and cognitive growth in young learners. Methodology: The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation of learning activities at KB Aisyiyah Smart Kids, interviews with the principal and classroom teacher, and documentation analysis, including samples of student work, activity documentation, and assessment sheets. Results: The study found that the ScratchJr application can be effectively used as an alternative interactive learning medium to enhance creativity in early childhood. The use of simple games and interactive storytelling within ScratchJr encouraged active engagement, improved cognitive and problem-solving skills, and supported creative expression among children. Applications/Originality/Value: This research highlights the educational value of integrating digital-based tools such as ScratchJr into early childhood learning. It provides practical insights into how interactive media can be leveraged to foster creativity, digital literacy, and holistic development in young learners.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to describe efforts to build discipline character through audio-visual media in Group A children of Aisyiyah Kadipiro III Kindergarten and to explore the challenges faced by teachers in utilizing such media effectively. Methodology: The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. The subjects were Group A teachers and Group A children of Aisyiyah Kadipiro III Kindergarten. Data collection techniques included interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis was conducted through three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Results: The study found that the formation of children's discipline character through audio-visual media was conducted by: (1) Playing educational videos about discipline; (2) Playing educational songs that promote discipline. Challenges encountered by teachers include: (3) Audio-visual learning often requires more preparation time; and (3) Long video durations can exceed children's attention spans, making it difficult to maintain engagement. Applications/Originality/Value: This study provides insight into how early childhood educators can leverage audio-visual media to instill discipline in young learners. It also highlights the practical challenges in media use, emphasizing the need for efficient planning and age-appropriate content selection. The findings can inform curriculum development and teacher training in early childhood education settings.

Abstract

Penggunaan teknologi dalam pengasuhan anak memiliki potensi besar untuk mendukung pendidikan karakter anak. Dengan bimbingan yang benar, teknologi digital dapat menjadi sarana untuk meningkatkan kreativitas, pemikiran kritis, dan kemampuan beradaptasi. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi orang tua dalam implementasi digital parenting serta strategi mengatasi tantangan digital parenting. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendeketan kualitatif, dengan jenis penelitian case study (studi kasus). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Kepanjen. Jumlah responden adalah 10 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis data model interaktif Milles & Huberman, yang terdiri dari yaitu dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa tantangan penerapan digital parenting adalah pengaturan waktu, tantangan keamanan online mempengaruhi stabilitas dan kelancaran penggunaan internet, keseimbangan, keselamatan dan keamanan, perundungan siber (cyberbullying), aspek hak cipta dan plagiarisme. Strategi untuk mengatasi masalah ini adalah pendidikan digital, keterlibatan dan pengawasan orang tua, dan mendorong interaksi sosial

Abstract

Salah satu indikator kompetensi profesional guru adalah mampu memanfaatkan teknologi dalam proses pembelajaran untuk menjawab tantangan zaman. Hal ini sangat sesuai dengan kompetensi guru abad 21 yaitu memiliki keterampilan dan literasi digital yang baik. Stimulasi literasi harus disesuaikan karakteristik dan kebutuhan anak. Metode yang dilakukan harus fun tidak membuat anak merasa terbebani serta memaksimalkan semua indera anak. Literasi merupakan jalan utama guna mencerdaskan dan menyejahterakan anak bangsa, mewujudkan sumber daya manusia unggul, mandiri, kreatif, kritis dan berdaya saing di era global. Salah satu karakter siswa generasi alpha yang menonjol adalah tech savvy. Anak sangat antusias dengan hal-hal berbau digital dan teknologi. Berdasarkan kenyataan yang ditemui banyak guru yang belum mampu mengintegrasikan terknologi dalam pembelajaran. Khalayak sasaran yang terlibat dalam pengabdian ini adalah guru-guru Pusat Kegiatan Gugus (PKG) Keraton Kartasura. Metode yang dilakukan yaitu dengan ceramah, diskusi dan pelatihan. Artikel kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dimuat dalam jurnal nasional bereputasi. Pelatihan ini dirancang untuk memberikan pelatihan kepada para guru dalam melakukan stimulasi literasi berbasis TIK, dan cara pandang baru yang lebih luas dan modern sebagai bekal dalam menghadapi tantangan global dalam dunia pendidikan.

Abstract

Digital learning media, one example of the results of the rapid development of digital technology that has penetrated into the world of education including the stimulation of early childhood cognitive development. The aim of this article are discusses the utilization of digital educational media as a tool to stimulate cognitive optimally and effectively. Through a literature study approach, this article reviews recent literature to emphasize the role of digital media, such as Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), zoom, digital flashcards, and learning applications and educational games, in improving early childhood cognitive development. This research uses the library research approach method or literature study. The result of these article is media not only increase learning motivation, but also help children develop critical thinking skills, creativity, and memory. Although this media offers many benefits, implementing this digital educational media must also face various challenges, such as infrastructure gaps, lack of digital literacy, resistance to change, and the quality of content that is not in accordance with the existing curriculum. This article also emphasizes the importance of careful planning, strong support from parents and teachers, and good management to optimize the benefits of digital learning media for early childhood development.

Abstract

This study analyses the management of child friendly facilities and infrastructure in inclusive early childhood education. The research uses a qualitative approach, data were collected through observations of school activities and interviews with principals, teachers, and parents. The purpose of this study is to analyse the management of green school facilities in inclusive early childhood education and to identify the problems and impacts related to their implementation for children with special needs. This study uses a qualitative approach to understand in depth the management of environmentally friendly school facilities for children with special needs in inclusive early childhood education. Collecting data by observation, interview. Data analysis techniques are triangulated data and literature review. The study analyses inclusive facility management requires not only physical adaptation but also an infrastructure, supporting facilities, tools and learning media, tools, Infrastructure management, parent participation management and technology.Inclusive and eco-friendly early childhood education. Good infrastructure, supportive facilities, engaging learning tools, strong management, active parents, and smart use of technology. Classrooms should be more than just accessible they need to be green, safe, and friendly for every child’s growth. Facilities like quiet rooms, sensory spaces, and adaptive playgrounds are not luxuries but essentials for learning and healing. Teachers also need the right training to use assistive tech and eco-friendly resources effectively, while parents play a key role as partners in shaping schools. Inclusive education offers a fresh framework that supports global goals for quality education and sustainable communities.
