Abstract

Rambu Solo' Ritual is a funeral service performed by the Torajan tribe as a form of final respect for a person who is his deceased relative. This study aims to find out the concept of the last ceremony of respect for the Toraja community through the culture of the Rambu Solo’ Ritual and community acceptance of the process, as well as to obtain sacred values believed by the Toraja tribal community. The use of methods in this study is used qualitative methods with types of research that utilize qualitative data then descriptively elaborated. The data collection technique was carried out by literature studies from various sources relevant to this study and then described the output of the findings. Based on the output that has been obtained, it is concluded that the Rambu Solo’ Ceremony has become one of the unifying cultural customs of the Toraja tribe. With the principle of "siangkaran" or helping each other, this traditional ceremony that requires large Human Resources and Natural Resources will feel lighter for grieving families.AbstrakRitual Rambu Solo’ ialah sebuah upacara pemakaman yang dilaksanakan masyarakat suku Toraja yang dimaknai sebagai penghormatan terakhir kepada seseorang yang merupakan kerabatnya yang telah meninggal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsep upacara penghormatan terakhir pada masyarakat Toraja melalui budaya Ritual Rambu Solo’ dan penerimaan masyarakat terhadap proses tersebut, serta untuk mendapatkan nilai-nilai sakral yang diyakini oleh masyarakat suku Toraja. Penggunaan metode dalam penelitian ini yaitu kualitatif atau jenis penelitian yang memanfaatkan data naratif kemudian dipaparkan secara deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan kajian intensif literatur dari berbagai sumber terkait dengan riset kemudian mendeskripsikan output temuan tersebut. Berdasarkan output yang telah didapatkan disimpulkan bahwa  Upacara Rambu solo’ menjadi salah satu adat budaya pemersatu suku Toraja. Dengan prinsip “siangkaran” atau saling tolong menolong maka upacara adat dimana memerlukan Sumber Daya Manusia dan Sumber Daya Alam yang besar ini akan lebih terasa ringan bagi keluarga yang berduka.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using the Google Classroom application in learning geography for class X students of SMA Negeri 14 Makassar referring to learning outcomes. This is a pre-experimental study involving one experimental group, namely class X MIPA 5 using purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using learning outcomes tests and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is statistical analysis technique and product moment correlation. The results of the study stated that the use of Google Classroom on the geography learning outcomes of class X students of SMA Negeri 14 Makassar was not effective. The relationship between the two variables was tested for significant correlation coefficient with t test obtained tcount (2,386) > ttable (2,045), so that H0 was accepted with a contribution of 16.4025%. There are inhibiting factors, namely: constrained internet access and supporting factors, namely the application of Google Classroom and student motivation. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan aplikasi Google Classroom dalam pembelajaran goegrafi di kelas X SMA Negeri 14 Makassar mengacu pada hasil belajar. Merupakan penelitian pre eksperimen yang melibatkan satu kelompok ekperimen yaitu kelas X MIPA 5 menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes hasil belajar dan angket. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analis statistika dan korelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa penggunaan Google Classroom terhadap hasil belajar geografi siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 14 Makassar tegolong tidak efektif. Hubungan antara kedua variabel dilakukan pengujian signifikan koefisien korelasi dengan uji t diperoleh thitung (2,386) > ttabel (2,045), sehingga H0 diterima dengan kontribusi sebesar 16,4025%. Terdapat faktor penghambat yaitu: terkendala akses internet serta faktor pendukung yaitu pengaplikasian Google Classroom dan motivasi siswa.

Abstract

Mangrove forest on Bangkobangkoang Island has the potential to be managed to become an ecotourism area. Such management requires a strategy to provide both economic and ecological benefits. The purpose of the study was to analyze the ecotourism management strategy of mangrove forests on Bangkobangkoang Island, Pangkep Regency, South Sulawesi. The sampling technique used is purposive. Data collection techniques are observations and surveys on mangrove forests, questionnaires, and interviews with island communities. The analysis technique used is SWOT. The results showed that the mangrove forest of Bangkobangkoang Island has a thickness of 230.39 m, a density of 23.25 ind/100m2, tides as high as 1.49 m, and there are 5 species of mangrove found and aquatic biota, birds, and others. The priority strategy is to maximize the potential of mangrove forests and preserve their naturalness so that they become a means of education to improve the community's economy, Coordination and communication between community members and the government in efforts to manage ecotourism areas, Empower fisherman groups in managing ecotourism, Procurement of supporting facilities for monitoring mangrove ecosystems, Training on product making made from mangroves to increase community income and maintain and strengthen community participation and interest in managing mangrove forests into ecotourism areas. This research can be input for stakeholders in making policies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui 1) Pemahaman masyarakat sekitar terhadap Taman Nasional Bantimurung Bulusaraung, 2) Interaksi yang terjadi antara masyarakat sekitar. Informan berasal dari masyarakat di Kelurahan Kalabbirang yang dipilih dengan menggunakan purposive sampling yang dilanjutkan dengan snow ball sampling. Data diperoleh dari observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) Masyarakat  memahami keberadaan tapal batas dan manfaatnya karena masyarakat memang sudah lama bermukim bahkan sejak kawasan belum dijadikan sebagai Taman Nasional. 2) Interaksi dilihat dari pemanfaatan lahan yang dikelola masyarakat  sebagai lahan pertanian; pemanfaatan kawasan sebagai Taman Wisata; serta berbagai tindakan pelestarian berupa gotong royong dalam membersihkan lingkungan sekitar; monitoring habitat kupu-kupu; serta patroli yang dilakukan masyarakat  dengan polisi kehutanan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the construction of the Center Point Of Indonesia (CPI) affects the socio-economic conditions of the people in the Makassar City sub-district. The independent variable in this study is the construction of the Center Point Of Indonesia (CPI) while the dependent variable is the socio-economic condition of the community. The population in this study is the people of Mariso District, while the sample is 100 people. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative. The sampling technique used is random sampling. The instrument used is a questionnaire with a Likert scale. The results showed that the positive impact of the Center Point Of Indonesia (CPI) development was the availability of employment and many available facilities and infrastructure, while the negative impact was the reduced income of the community, especially fishermen who were looking for catch around the Center Point Of Indonesia (CPI) construction site.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative ethnographic study that aims to find out the procession of implementation, the meaning and the factors that lead to the survival of the Attumate Tradition. The research data were collected based on the results of observations, documentation, and interviews with selected informants using the Purposive Sampling technique. Data analysis was performed by data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The Attumate tradition is a death ceremony carried out by the family of a deceased person, where the process starts with Ammuntuli, Ni Je'ne, A'roko, Angnyambayangngi, Soso’ Kalibong, Ammaca Talakking, Ammaca Kanre, Angngaji-Aji, Allo Parallu, Allo Biasa and Appalappasa Allo. Attumate tradition has the meaning of alms and friendship which is useful for praying for someone who has died. Lakatong Village community believes that by carrying out traditions that have long been the custom of ancestors, it will facilitate the journey of someone who has died to the end of nature. Attumate's tradition still survives because of the still strong influence of Sayyid in Lakatong Village which is spread along the coast of Lamangkia to Laikang and Lakatong Village community still considers that this tradition is a family pride that must be fought for so it must be implemented.

Abstract

The study aims at (1) examining the proses of Kawi’a traditional tradition or marriage of Moronene tribe in North Poleang subdistrict in Bombana district, (2) the role of Tolea in Kawi’a traditional tradition of marriage of Moronene Tribe in North Poleang Subdsitrict in Bombana district, and (3) integrating the Kawia’a traditional tradition or marriage in Geography learning material in SMA (senior high school). This study employed qualitative research with ethnography approach. The data source of the study employed snowball sampling technique with the informants consisted of customary council chairman of Moronene, Tolea, and prominent people. Data Collecting technique employed direct observation, in-depth interview, and documentation. Data analysis technique consisted of data collecting, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study reveal that (1) the process in Kawi’a tarditional tradition or marriage of Moronene tribe in North Poleang subdistrict in Bombana district is divided into three stages, namely pre-marriage stage which consist of Mowindahako (marriage proposal), Moduduhi, Mompokontodo (following the marriage proposal), Mesisiwi (persuading the bride), Mesampora (engagement), Lumanga (delivery the dowry) and Khatam Qur’an. The marriage stage consists of Melongko (picking up the bride), Metiwawa (taking the bride to the venue), Melawati/Moantani (welcoming the bride), Mompindai Sincu (confirming the bride and groom), pinokompe’olo (eating together in on plate), Pinokompompanga (eating the sirih pinang together) dan Montente Awu (Molulo together) and the Post-marriage is called  Mohuletako Alo (taking the bride to the parent’s in-law home); (2) the roles of Tolea in Kawi’a traditional tradition of marriage of Moronene Tribe in North Poleang Subdsitrict in Bombana district are the marriage proposal carrier, following the marriage proposal, discussing and deciding as well as taking the dowry and marriage cost, conducting the procession before and after the marriage and taking the bride to the parent’s in-law home; (3) the Kawi’a traditional tradition or marriage of Moronene tribe can be integrated in Geography learning material in class XI at SMA inside or outside of the clas in a form of field observatioan and applying character education values caontained in Kawi’a traditional tradition such as being religious, discipline, responsibility and caring working togehter in daily lives in school environment as well as in the society.Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah (1) Untuk mengetahui proses dalam tradisi adat Kawi’a / perkawinan masyarakat Moronene di Kecamatan Poleang Utara Kabupaten Bombana, (2) Untuk mengetahui peran Tolea dalam adat tradisi Kawi’a / perkawinan masyarakat Suku Moronene di Kabupaten Bombana, (3) Untuk mengintegrasikan tradisi adat Kawi’a / Perkawinan dalam materi pembelajaran geografi di SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Sumber data mengggunakan teknik snowball sampling dengan memilih informan yang terdiri dari Ketua Dewan Adat Moronene, Tolea dan Tokoh Masyarakat. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi langsung, wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data terdiri dari pengumpulan data, reduksi data, display data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) proses dalam tradisi adat kawi’a / perkawinan masyarakat Moronene di Kecamatan Poleang Utara Kabupaten Bombana terbagi dalam tiga tahap yaitu tahap praperkawinan yang terdiri dari Mowindahako (Pelamaran), Moduduhi, Mompokontodo (Menyusul lamaran), Mesisiwi (membujuk Pengantin), Mesampora (Pertunangan), Lumanga (pengantaran Pokok Mahar) dan Khatam Qur’an. Tahap Perkawinan terdiri dari Melongko (Menjemput pengantin), Metiwawa (mengantar pengantin ke tempat acara), Melawati/Moantani (menyambut pengantin), Mompindai Sincu (Mengukuhkan Pengantin), pinokompe’olo (Makan Bersama dalam satu piring), Pinokompompanga (Makan Sirih Pinang Bersama) dan Montente Awu (Molulo Bersama) dan tahap Pascaperkawinan disebut Mohuletako Alo (mengantar Pengantin ke rumah orang tua laki-laki): (2) peran tolea dalam adat tradisi kawi’a / perkawinan masyarakat Suku Moronene di Kabupaten Bombana yaitu pembawa lamaran, menyusul lamaran, membicarakan dan memutuskan serta mengantar Pokok Mahar dan Biaya Perkawinan, melaksanakan prosesi adat sebelum dan sesudah perkawinan dan mengantar pengantin ke rumah orang tua pengantin laki-laki (3) tradisi adat Kawi’a / Perkawinan masyarakat suku moronene dapat dintegrasikan dalam materi pembelajaran geografi kelas XI (Sebelas) di SMA baik di dalam maupun di luar kelas dalam bentuk observasi lapangan dan menerapkan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang ada dalam tradisi adat Kawi’a tersebut seperti Religius, Disiplin, Tanggung Jawab dan Peduli Sosial / Gotong Royong dalam kehidupan sehari-hari baik di lingkungan sekolah maupun di lingkungan masyarakat.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: 1) Beach typology conditions for the development of ponnori beach tourism in Larompong Selatan District Luwu District. 2) Strategy of ponnori beach tourism development in Larompong Selatan Sub-district Luwu Regency. Data collection such as: Observation, Interview and Documentation. The analysis technique used is qualitative descriptive analysis and swot analysis. The results showed: The physical condition of Ponnori Beach is the highest peak of 240 cm and the lowest retrograde is 90 cm with an average tidal range of 166,08 cm. Average wave heights range from 0.04 m - 0.18 m with an average of 0.08 m, and a mean current velocity of 0.05 m / s. The depth of Ponnori Beach waters 0-2 m with 100% waters brightness and water temperature 28-29ºC. The slope of the slope is in the flat category with a value of 1-2 degrees. So that the value of Ponnori Beach's physical parameter feasibility is 95,88% is in the range of 80 - 100% which fall into the very feasible category (S). The social condition of Ponnori Beach is the lack of facilities and infrastructure due to budget constraints and the lack of promotion efforts and the ponnori beach development program is still simple and the lack of professional workforce in the management of ponnori beach tourism. And the eligibility value for Ponnori Beach social parameter is categorized as feasible with a feasibility score of 57.14%. From the SWOT analysis conducted Ponnori Beach Tour is included in the First Quadrant on the SWOT diagram is the Aggressive Strategy, where the situation can be done by utilizing the strength and opportunities in order to increase the growth of Ponnori Beach Tour. To realize Ponnori Beach as a coastal tourist attraction that attracted many people it is necessary cooperation between the government and local communities as well as private investors in the development of ponnori beach tourism.

Abstract

Mangrove forests provide various tropical and subtropical ecosystem services to support sustainable development and people's livelihoods. Ecopreuneurship-based management became an alternative approach for mangrove forests ecotourism. Implementing the ecopreneurship concept in mangrove forest areas could include the utilization of mangrove forest products for business while maintaining biodiversity and the environmental sustainability of the ecosystem. This research aimed to formulate the strategy for ecopreneurship-based management of mangrove forests. This research employed direct observation and in-depth interviews. The respondents were purposively selected based on their specific roles within the communities, community leaders, local governments, and non-governmental organizations surrounding the mangrove forest areas. This research applied SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) method to analyze the ecopreneurship-based mangrove ecotourism management in Makassar City. The SWOT analysis resulted in three strategies to capture the available opportunities. First, developing community business through innovations in local resource utilization. Second, empowering the community groups such as fishermen, farmers, and women to create mangrove-based household scale businesses. Third, providing training on the post-harvesting mangrove forest products and digital/ online marketing for brown sugar.

Abstract

Sustainable production forest is a forest that can produce products of economic value that can be used for the needs of life today and in the future. The benefits of various products and services from mangrove forests have been felt by humans, both in the form of wood and non-wood products. The population of this research is people age 20 - 60 years who live around the mangrove forest area of the coast of Maros Regency. The sampling technique is carried out using proportional stratified random sampling, which is based on the stratification of the types of activities around the mangrove forest area. Data collection techniques used are adjusted to the required data including, Direct Observation, Documentation, In-depth Interview with the Participatory Rural Appraisal approach, Focus Group Discussion, to determine the distribution and extent mangrove forest area in South Sulawesi. After that, the internal and external factors that are supporting and inhibiting use the SWOT analysis.  The results showed that the strategy of managing mangrove forest areas as production forest areas in Maros Regency is develop the potential of sustainable and economically valuable mangrove forest resources through eco-friendly cultivation and capture businesses, increasing the role of ngos to increase community knowledge and awareness in mangrove management, providing counseling and training on crab processing., community empowerment through fishermen / farmer groups to create a household scale industry based on mangrove resources, training and mentoring of farmer/fisherman/women's groups in utilizing mangrove forest resources
