Abstract

This study discusses the analysis of the modification of Newton-Secant method and solving nonlinear equations having a multiplicity of  by using a modified Newton-Secant method. A nonlinear equation that has a multiplicity   is an equation that has more than one root. The first step is to analyze the modification of the Newton-Secant method, namely to construct a mathematical model of the Newton-Secant method using the concept of the Newton method and the concept of the Secant method. The second step is to construct a modified mathematical model of the Newton-Secant method by adding the parameter . After obtaining the modified formula for the Newton-Secant method, then applying the method to solve a nonlinear equations that have a multiplicity . In this case, it is applied to the nonlinear equation which has a multiplicity of . The solution is done by selecting two different initial values, namely  and . Furthermore, to determine the effectivity of this method, the researcher compared the result with the Newton-Raphson method, the Secant method, and the Newton-Secant method that has not been modified. The obtained results from the analysis of modification of Newton-Secant method is an iteration formula of the modified Newton-Secant method. And for the result of  using a modified Newton-Secant method with two different initial values, the root of  is obtained approximately, namely  with less than iterations. whereas when using the Newton-Raphson method, the Secant method, and the Newton-Secant method, the root  is also approximated, namely  with more than  iterations. Based on the problem to find the root of the nonlinear equation  it can be concluded that the modified Newton-Secant method is more effective than the Newton-Raphson method, the Secant method, and the Newton-Secant method that has not been modified

Abstract

An (a, d)-edge-antimagic total labeling on (p, q)-graph G is a one-to-one map f from V (G) ∪ E(G) onto the  integers 1, 2, . . . , p + q with the property that the edge-weights, w(uv) = f (u)+ f (v) + f (uv) where uv ∈  E(G),form an arithmetic progression starting from a and having common difference d. Such a labeling is called super if the smallest possible labels appear on the vertices. In this paper, we investigate the existence of super (a, d)-edge antimagic total labeling of Firecracker Graph.

Abstract

The dispute between Israel and Palestine is one of the longest and most complex armed conflicts in the history of the modern world. This study aims to explore and analyze the effectiveness of the call for boycott action against pro-Israel products and their affiliates in the context of consumer purchasing decisions and their impact on local products. The research method used is qualitative, with a focus on observation and literacy studies. A literature study was conducted on data from social media and other sources related to the call for a boycott. The findings of this study highlight that the call for boycott action has a significant impact on consumer purchasing decisions. The motivation of consumers to engage in the boycott involves ideological, ethical, and solidarity factors with the Palestinian people. Local products benefit from positive perceptions related to support for the boycott movement, but are also faced with challenges, such as the need to maintain product quality and manage political tensions. The impact of the threat of a wave of termination of employment must be a concern by the Government due to the boycott if it is carried out continuously. The study provides an in-depth understanding of the complex dynamics between boycott calls, consumer purchasing decisions, and their impact on local products. The implications of these findings can help producers, stakeholders, and policymakers develop strategies that are responsive to global political issues and changing market dynamics

Abstract

The Samsung smartphone brand holds a positive image in the minds of Indonesian people. For years, Samsung has consistently been the market leader in Indonesia for smartphone sales using the Android software platform. This study aims to reinforce the findings of previous research, which used a quantitative descriptive approach, by re-examining one of its variables, namely brand image, using a non-interactive qualitative approach. The research was conducted by observing consumer preferences in purchasing decisions for four series of mid-to-lower-end smartphones with similar specifications but different brands, produced in the same year, on three of the most frequently accessed online stores by Indonesian consumers: Shopee, Tokopedia, and Bibli. The observation was carried out non-participantly on online sales data throughout 2023. It was complemented by interview results substituted with product reviews containing the strengths and weaknesses of a product from several accounts or gadget reviewer YouTube channels. The results of this study conclude that the brand image of Samsung, through a qualitative approach, also influences consumer preferences in making smartphone purchasing decisions, thus reinforcing the findings of previous research using quantitative methods

Abstract

This study discusses the analysis of the Susceptible-Exposed-Infected-Recovered (SEIR) epidemic model using the fourth-order Runge-Kutta method on the spread of COVID-19 in Indonesia by taking into account the factors limiting community interaction and the percentage of vaccination as model parameters. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of the Susceptible–Exposed–Infected–Recovered (SEIR) model using the fourth-order Runge-Kutta method in dealing with COVID-19 in Indonesia. The steps in analyzing the model are to determine the stability of the model that produces local asymptotic stability, then carry out the implementation as well as simulation using the fourth-order Runge-Kuta method in dealing with COVID-19 in Indonesia. The calculation results show the effect of limiting community interaction and vaccination in reducing cases of COVID-19 infection. Where, when limiting public interaction, the number of cases of COVID-19 infection is lower than before the restrictions on community interaction were carried out, and the higher percentage of vaccinations also resulted in more sloping infection cases. This study provides information that if restrictions on community interaction continue to be carried out by continuing to increase the percentage of vaccinations, it is estimated that the daily graph of positive cases of COVID-19 will be increasingly sloping and close to zero. Thus, the addition of new cases will decrease and it is hoped that the COVID-19 pandemic will end soon.

Abstract

Model gerak osilasi vertikal dan torsional merupakan model yang menggambarkan gerak osilasi vertikal dan gerak torsional pada batang yang digantung. Gerak osilasi vertikal merupakan gerak naik turun suatu benda yang terjadi terus berulang, dan kemudian pada waktu tertentu akan berhenti atau mengalami redaman. Gerak torsional merupakan getaran sudut dari suatu objek yang mengalami rotasi. Model gerak osilasi dan torsional pada dasarnya merupakan sistem persamaan diferensial orde dua. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui solusi numerik model gerak osilasi vertikal dan torsional menggunakan metode Adams-Bashforth-Moulton orde empat, lima, dan enam. Model gerak osilasi vertikal dan torsional terlebih dahulu diselesaikan menggunakaan metode Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg orde lima untuk mendapatkan solusi awal kemudian model tersebut diselesaikan menggunakan metode Adams-Bashforth-Moulton orde empat, lima dan enam. Hasil solusi numerik setiap metode Adam-Bashforth-Moulton selanjutnya diuji dengan galat relatif. Hasil simulasi numerik model gerak osilasi vertikal dan torsi diperoleh bahwa gerak osilasi vertikal dan gerak torsional merupakan gerak harmonik teredam dan semakin tinggi orde pada metode Adams-Bashforth-Moulton maka akan lebih cepat galat relatif menuju nilai nol dan sebaliknya

Abstract

This study discusses the Fuzzy Elimination Et Choix Traduisant La Realite (ELECTRE) method that can be applied to make a decision support. This method was chosen because it is one of the methods used to rank and determine the best alternative. This study aims to determine the results of the application of the fuzzy ELECTRE method which produces alternative solutions in determining employee performance appraisal ratings for the Education and Culture Office of Malang City. Some of the problems that often occur in employee performance evaluation at the Department of Education and Culture in the city of Malang are still ineffective and inaccurate because the calculation process is still manual. Based on this, the effort to reduce the problems above is to implement a Fuzzy Multi Attribute Decision Making decision support system with the fuzzy ELECTRE method. This method requires a process of normalizing the decision matrix (X) into a comparable scale, then weighting the normalized matrix, then determining the concordance and discordance indices for each alternative pair to calculate the concordance and discordance indices, the ranking process is used to choose the best alternative. This study is limited by several criteria used as linguistic variables with the Triangular Fuzzy Number scale, including SKP scores, service orientation, integrity, commitment, discipline, and cooperation. Based on employee performance appraisal data that has been calculated using the fuzzy ELECTRE method, the best alternative that occupies the top rank with the highest value is alternative 2 with a value of 55.9155. It is hoped that by using the fuzzy ELECTRE method, the ranking process can be more precise in identifying employees who will become outstanding employees.

Abstract

Capital Assets Pricing Model merupakan persamaan regresi antara premi risiko aset terhadap premi risiko pasar. Risiko ada jika pembuat keputusan tidak memiliki data untuk menyusun suatu dugaan. Pendugaan tersebut dapat dilakukan dengan generalized method of moments.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil estimasi parameter pada Capital Assets Pricing Model menggunakan Generalized Method of Moments pada data saham PT. Indofood Tbk., serta mendapatkan nilai Value at Risk pada data saham PT. Indofood Tbk..Hasil yang diperoleh  yaitu :  , m=1,2,…. Dengan nilai  maka model regresi pada saham PT. Indofood Tbk.. yaitu . Dengan tingkat signifikansi 5%, investasi awal Rp10.000.000,00 , kerugian yang akan ditanggung oleh investor adalah Rp1.265.800,00 .

Abstract

Indonesia is known as a country with a majority Muslim population, this makes the need for clothing in Indonesia must also pay attention to the criteria for Muslim clothing, one of which is the hijab. Business developments in the fashion world, especially hijab, have become a trend setter at this time so that the large amount of data in the fashion business world creates conditions where there are businesspeople who have a lot of data but lack of information from that data. To deal with these conditions, it is necessary to classify the data. A classification is a process to find the same properties in a data set to be classified into different classes.  One of the classification methods is the Decision tree using the C4.5 Algorithm.  This research aims to determine the model and the accuracy of the C4.5 algorithm in classifying hijab sales from several hijab brands.  The Decision tree model is obtained using the C4.5 algorithm with the first root being the price attribute, where the first root is the attribute that most affected the sale of the hijab.  The result of calculating the accuracy value is 87% so that the Decision tree model and the classification process using the C4.5 Algorithm are classified as good. This research is expected to help businesspeople in the fashion sector, especially hijab, to find out the factors that influence consumer interest in a hijab product.

Abstract

Distribution is the action or process of supplying goods to stores and other businesses that sell to consumers. If a product or service is distributed from a company, it requires adequate means of transportation and usually requires too large distribution costs. Delivery of goods at this company does not use mathematical methods in calculating its distribution to several places correctly. The purpose of this research is to create an optimal, efficient and effective distribution model for this company by applying the North West Corner Method and the Modified Distribution Method in July, August and September 2021. North West Corner Method for the initial solution and Modified Distribution Method as the optimal solution is a variation of the Stepping Stone method. The results of this research show that the distribution costs incurred by the company after being calculated using the North West Corner Method and the Modified Distribution Method are Rp. 6,961,779, - from Rp. 7,000,000. Then these two methods are able to help companies save distribution costs incurred.
