Abstract

Ceger and Tebet Childcare Social Institution (PSAA) is the Technical Service Unit of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Social Service that provides services for adolescents at junior and senior high school levels. As a social care institution, it is undeniable that fulfilling psychological needs is just as important as fulfilling physical needs. Various problems that arise in foster children are usually concerned with lack of fulfillment of psychological needs. When an individual reaches the adolescent phase, the need for psychological fulfillment changes. In the adolescent phase, independence is one of the main development tasks that need to be mastered, so the focus of assistance in 2018 was directed to preparation for orphanage youths in facing life after the orphanage, which will begin after they graduate from high school. The present community service activity aims to provide psychological assistance for children of PSAA Putra Utama 3 Tebet and Putra Utama 4 Ceger Jakarta to help them become independent and to be ready to face life after high school, with an understanding of how to effectively manage themselves and manage others in personal and professional situations. Through this program, participants were expected to be able to learn the following skills: be independent and ready to work, manage themselves, and manage others. The community mentoring training module was designed based on the typical characteristics of participants fromm PSAA Putra Utama 3 Tebet and 4 Ceger during the 11 month assistance period. It can also be used by the PSAA to run training-based mentoring intervention programs independently in the future.

Abstract

Yayasan Wahana Inclusive Indonesia (YWII) is an institution engaged in providing services for children with special needs, people with disability, and inclusive society. YWII provides services that include counseling, development of individual learning programs (PPIs), support services for children with special needs, and training for educators, schools, parents, and communities. Educational and training activities are conducted by helping children with special needs to learn a few things they need most in their daily lives. Based on the children’s needs, the Master’s Program of Child and Adolescent Psychology Professionals, Faculty of Psychology, Atma Jaya Catholic University, designed training-based interventions to improve the knowledge of students, teachers, and parents about sexual behaviors. Prior to the intervention, the researcher conducted an assessment to determine the causes of "inapproriate" sexual behavior problems that occurred in the YWII environment. The data was collected through instruments such as interview, observation, and FGD. The collected data was then analyzed using the concepts of problem tree and destination tree. Based on the assessment results, it can be concluded that one of the challenges faced by YWII is related to the provision of sexual education to students or children. Adolescents with special needs have not yet had an awareness of their development from children to adolescents that is followed by sexual change or development and how they should respond to the changes. As a result, they are often considered to exhibit behaviors considered rude and vulnerable to sexual harassment. Training-based interventions were provided to parents and teachers at YWII to give them guidance and assistance to handle children with special needs on sexual education

Abstract

There used to be a gap between ideal and actual condition in the pattern of parenting at Panti Sosial Asuhan Anak (PSAA) Putra Utama 03 Ceger, an orphanage. The gap was caused by some factors namely the environment facilities, high levels of problematic behavior among adolescents, the system, insufficient number of caregivers, and cultural factors of parenting that have been going on for a long time in the orphanage. The gap could lead to learned helplessness of the caregivers in parenting pattern on children at the orphanage. A team was formed to create an intervention through community service activity to overcome the problem, by applying learned optimism and mindful parenting for the caregivers at the orphanage. This intervention program was aimed to increase the caregiver’s knowledge and motivation through training of learned optimism and mindful parenting. Therefore, the caregivers can be more optimistic and wholehearted in carrying out their role as caregivers. The approach used in this intervention is based on the Bioecological Model Theory from Bronfenbrenner, the Experiential Learning from Bandura, and the Change Theory by Lewin. The steps taken in this intervention program were a preliminary study using a problem tree, Fishbone Analysis, and SWOT analysis. After a preliminary study, the team prepared an intervention design consisting of preparation, training, monitoring, and evaluation of the intervention. The expected targets of this intervention program were an increasing knowledge in learned optimism training and caregivers’ motivation in applying the training materials. Abstract

This research aims to explore the issues of volunteer engagement faced by the SabangMerauke Community that affect the level of voluntary self-belonging to the community. This research is a type of descriptive research with a descriptive research method approach. Determination of research subjects using purposive sampling techniques. Based on this technique, the subjects of this study were all administrators and volunteers of the SabangMerauke Community and the participants involved such as the SabangMerauke Brother, Sister and Family. Data collection techniques used were interviews and questionnaires online. Interventions given to the SabangMerauke community are interventions in the process of recruiting volunteers using competency-based interview techniques. The conclusion from the series of interventions provided is that the provision of training for trainers to the SabangMerauke Community is appropriate and targets what they need. This is based on the group's assessment of the success indicator checklist that was designed before the training for trainers took place. Apart from the indicators of success, there is concrete evidence that shows the success of this intervention, namely the response and activeness of the two respondents present. Besides listening, they also asked a number of questions and actively confirmed their knowledge to the group by discussion. The community also asked the group to be able to follow up the community recruitment process the following year. Although in terms of interventions classified as successful, but there are some obstacles experienced by groups such as interventions that can only be done once because it follows the schedule of the community administrator.ABSTRAK:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali permasalahan volunteer engagement yang dihadapi Komunitas SabangMerauke yang mempengaruhi tingkat self-belonging relawan terhadap komunitas. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan metode penelitian deskriptif. Penentuan subjek penelitian menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan teknik tersebut, subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh pengurus dan relawan Komunitas SabangMerauke serta para peserta yang terlibat seperti Kakak, Adik dan Famili SabangMerauke. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara dan penyebaran kuesioner online. Intervensi yang diberikan untuk komunitas SabangMerauke adalah intervensi dalam proses perekrutan relawan dengan teknik competency-based interview. Kesimpulan dari rangkaian intervensi yang diberikan adalah pemberian training for trainers kepada Komunitas SabangMerauke sudah tepat dan menyasar pada apa yang mereka butuhkan. Hal ini didasari atas penilaian kelompok terhadap checklist indikator keberhasilan yang telah dirancang sebelum training for trainers berlangsung. Selain dari indikator keberhasilan, terdapat bukti nyata yang menunjukkan keberhasilan intervensi ini yaitu respon dan keaktifan dari kedua responden yang hadir. Selain mendengarkan, mereka juga melontarkan beberapa pertanyaan serta secara aktif mengkonfirmasi pengetahuan mereka kepada kelompok dengan berdiskusi. Pihak komunitas juga meminta kelompok untuk dapat menindaklanjuti proses rekrutmen komunitas di tahun berikutnya. Walaupun dari segi intervensi tergolong berhasil, namun terdapat beberapa kendala dialami oleh kelompok seperti intervensi yang hanya dapat dilakukan satu kali karena mengikuti jadwal dari pengurus komunitas.

Abstract

Teachers have an important role in the running of educational activities in schools, both regular and special schools. The competence of teachers who teach will greatly determine the achievement of the learning goals given in the ongoing curriculum. With the limited human resources available in the area of children with special needs, there are times when teachers who teach do not have the minimum competence needed to make teaching and learning activities run smoothly, so learning targets become a challenge in itself. Teachers who teach in special schools should also have special competencies to be better prepared to handle and educate Students with Special Needs (SBK). This study used a mixed-method with a group discussion forum, interviews, and questionnaires to get a deeper picture of the competence of teachers at the Sayap Ibu Bintaro Foundation (YSIB). The results showed that there are internal and external factors that affect the competence of teachers at YSIB. Teacher knowledge and skills in behavior management, recognizing SBK characteristics, and communication with SBK still need further development. This results in the teacher's teaching strategy not optimal in their daily lives. Therefore, a form of intervention is needed to improve teacher competence, especially in behavior management, recognizing SBK characteristics, and communication skills with SBK. The intervention was carried out by training "Special Need Teacher Capacity Building". The results of the intervention show that training can improve teacher competence, especially in the cognitive and affective aspects, while the behavioral aspect is not maximal because the opportunity to practice the results of the training is still limited.ABSTRAK:Guru memiliki peran penting dalam berjalannya kegiatan pendidikan di sekolah, baik sekolah reguler maupun sekolah khusus. Kompetensi guru yang mengajar akan menentukan tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran yang diberikan dalam kurikulum yang berjalan. Dengan keterbatasan sumber daya manusia yang tersedia pada area anak berkebutuhan khusus, ada kalanya guru yang mengajar belum memiliki kompetensi minimal yang dibutuhkan guna menunjang kelancaran kegiatan belajar mengajar (KBM), sehingga target pembelajaran menjadi sebuah tantangan tersendiri. Guru yang mengajar di sekolah khusus pun sebaiknya memiliki kompetensi khusus agar siap untuk menangani dan mendidik Siswa Berkebutuhan Khusus (SBK). Penelitian ini menggunakan mixed method dengan forum group discussion, wawancara, dan kuesioner kepada 5 guru dan Kepala Sekolah untuk mendapatkan gambaran yang lebih mendalam terkait dengan kompetensi guru di Yayasan Sayap Ibu Bintaro (YSIB). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat faktor internal dan eksternal yang mempengaruhi kompetensi guru di YSIB. Pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru dalam manajemen perilaku, mengenali karakteristik SBK, dan komunikasi dengan SBK masih perlu dikembangkan lebih lanjut. Hal ini berakibat pada strategi mengajar guru belum optimal dalam kesehariannya. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan suatu bentuk intervensi untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru, terutama dalam manajemen perilaku, mengenal karakteristik SBK, dan keterampilan komunikasi dengan SBK. Intervensi dilakukan dengan pelatihan “Special Need Teacher Capacity Building”. Hasil intervensi menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan dapat meningkatkan kompetensi guru, terutama pada aspek kognitif dan afektif, sedangkan pada aspek perilaku belum terlihat maksimal karena kesempatan untuk mempraktekkan hasil pelatihan masih terbatas

Abstract

Rumah Belajar Senen merupakan komunitas sosial yang peduli terhadap anak-anak jalanan di kawasan Senen, Jakarta Pusat. Komunitas ini menaungi anak-anak jalanan dari berbagai macam usia. Rumah Belajar Senen (RBS) berada di kawasan yang kumuh dan ditempati oleh masyarakat kaum marjinal. Anak-anak remaja yang berada di RBS memiliki lingkungan yang tidak kondusif, mereka tidak memiliki dukungan sosial yang baik mulai  dari lingkup keluarga, teman, tetangga, bahkan sekolah. Tidak adanya dukungan sosial membuat anak-anak remaja RBS tidak memiliki sosok untuk bercerita, sehingga mereka sering memendam masalahnya sendiri. Dengan demikian, intervensi ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan konseling melalui modul untuk kakak pendamping di RBS agar dapat menjadi sosok yang bisa memberikan dukungan kepada remaja RBS dimulai dari sebagai tempat bercerita. Data-data yang dikumpulkan menggunakan metode observasi dan wawancara terhadap beberapa kakak pendamping dan juga beberapa remaja di RBS. Intervensi dilakukan dengan cara memberikan pelatihan cara pengaplikasian modul konseling yang sudah disusun sebelumnya. Hasil yang didapatkan dari aspek kognitif, para pendamping sudah menguasai materi. Namun untuk aspek behavior dan afeksi, para pendamping belum menguasai dengan baik. Hal ini disebabkan karena waktu yang terbatas dalam melatih kemampuan konseling sehingga behavior dan afeksi belum terlatih dengan baik.

Abstract

The value of children lies in the way parents view their children. The perception of parents is influenced by the culture they adopt and live by, socioeconomic status, the gender of the child, and the number of children in the family. The purpose of this research was to look at the description of the value to Javanese mothers of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The method used is quantitative (nonparametric statistical calculations) with descriptive techniques. There were 30 participants in the study using convenience sampling data collection techniques. The required characteristics of the participants were mothers of children with ASD who applied Javanese parenting culture. The results of normality with a value of asymp= .00 (p < .05) so that it is stated that the data is not normally distributed. The resultant value of children to mothers of children with ASD that stands out is the family dimension, so according to this study children with ASD can strengthen relationships within families, such as parents who provide social support to each other and siblings who become more empathic towards their siblings who have ASD.

Abstract

Bekerja dan memiliki karir adalah bagian dari perkembangan seseorang untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hidup, termasuk penyandang disabilitas. Memilih karir bukan hal yang mudah karena menyangkut kemandirian seorang individu dan masa depan terlebih lagi pada penyandang disabilitas mereka memiliki hambatan dan perlakuan diskriminatif. Efikasi karir merupakan kepercayaan seorang individu mengenai kemampuannya sehubungan dengan pembuatan keputusan dalam karir. Salah satu hal yang mempengaruhi karir adalah konsep diri. Konsep diridapat diaplikasikan dalam pemilihan karir agar seseorang dapat memilih karir yang sesuai dengan dirinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara konsep diri dan efikasi karir pada remaja laki-laki penyandang disabilitas. Ini berarti bahwa, penyandng disabilitas yang menghendaki bekerja juga harus memilih jenis pekerjaan mereka sesuai dengan apa yang mampu mereka lakukan dan mereka inginkan.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Bcakground: Social media makes it easier to get information and communicate remotely quickly and efficiently. However, the use of excessive social media can have a negative impact on its users, such as experiencing fear of missing out (FoMO). FoMO occurs due to the fear of missing a moment and feeling that other people's lives are better than theirs. This research aims to see the relationship between FoMO and the subjective well-being of social media users in early adulthood. Methods: The study used a quantitative approach with convenience sampling technique to obtain 55 trial research participants and 165 field test research participants with the characteristics: (1) aged 18-25 years; (2) domicile in Jabodetabek; (3) have more than one social media application. The study used the Fear of Missing Out Scale (FoMOs). To measure subjective well-being, researchers used the Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS). The data collection technique was carried out online by using a questionnaire in the form of a Google Forms. Statistical analysis used is correlation technique. Result: Based on the results, there is a significant relationship between FoMO and subjective well-being. Conclusion: It can be concluded that FoMO has a relationship with subjective well-being in early adult social media users. Namun, penggunaan media sosial yang terlalu intens dapat memberikan dampak negatif, seperti mengalami fear of missing out (FoMO). FoMO terjadi karena adanya perasaan takut kehilangan suatu momen dan merasa kehidupan orang lain lebih baik dari dirinya. Metode: Penelitian ini hendak ingin melihat hubungan FoMO dengan subjective well-being pengguna media sosial pada dewasa awal. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan teknik convenience sampling sehingga memperoleh 55 partisipan penelitian uji coba dan 165 partisipan penelitian uji lapangan dengan karakteristik: (1) berusia 18-25 tahun; (2) domisili di Jabodetabek; (3) memiliki lebih dari satu aplikasi media sosial. Untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian ini, maka penelitian menggunakan alat ukur Fear of Missing Out Scale (FoMOs). Lalu untuk mengukur subjective well-being, peneliti menggunakan Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS). Pengumpulan data dilakukan secara online menggunakan kuesioner dalam bentuk Google Forms. Analisis statistik yang digunakan yaitu teknik korelasi. Hasil: Berdasarkan hasil analisis statistik terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara FoMO dengan subjective well-being. Kesimpulan: Hal tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa FoMO memiliki hubungan dengan subjective well-being pada pengguna media sosial yang berusia dewasa awal. Abstract

Pemberdayaan menjadi strategi penting dalam meningkatkan peran perempuan dalam meningkatkan potensi diri agar lebih mampu mandiri dan berkarya. Keberlanjutan dalam kewirausahaan adalah keadaan atau kondisi suatu organisasi yang memiliki peluang untuk melestarikan, mengembangkan dan melindungi sumber dayanya serta memenuhi kebutuhan yang ada dalam organisasi (industri).Tujuan utama penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dukungan sosial yang diberikan kepada perempuan dalam menciptakan keberlanjutan bisnis.  Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 52 responden, mereka adalah perempuan pelaku usaha yang selanjutnya ditentukan dengan pendekatan simple random sampling. Instrumen yang disusun dalam kuesioner digunakan untuk mengambil data, dengan mengirmkan link gfrom kepada responden. Analisis data menggunakan aplikasi SMART PLS dengan membuat Analisa jalur dan mengujinya dengan bootstrapping untuk mengetahui pengaruh langsung dan tidak langsung dukungan sosial pada kewirausahaan perempuan dan keberlanjutan usaha.  Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh bahwa dukungan sosial memiliki pengaurh secara langsung kepada keberlanjutan kewirausahaan perempuan. Variabel dukungan sosial yang sangat dibutuhkan oleh perempuan sebagai pelaku usaha adalah variable penilaian positif, dimana ke empat indikator yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini semuanya dapat digunakan untuk melihat pengaruh dukungan sosial berupa penilaian positif pada perempuan pelaku kewirausahaan untuk membantu mereka menjaga keberlanjutan usaha yang sudah dijalankan.
