Abstract

The basics of calligraphy writing in the form of hijaiyah letter writing techniques are training that needs to be held in schools, especially in schools that focus on Islamic religious education, because they are the basis of the techniques for writing the Koran. This service is training in basic techniques for writing the Koran at MTs Darussalam Ibrahimy, Sumberkokap Village, District. Krocok Park, Kab. Bondowoso, East Java. MTs Darussalam Ibrahimy is a first-level secondary education institution that has a strong focus on Islamic religious education. The problem faced in this school is the lack of guidance in learning hijaiyah letter writing techniques, as well as the students' low interest in this writing technique, because they think that writing Arabic, the language of the Koran, does not have certain techniques so they are careless in writing. Hijaiyah letters. This form of service is carried out through intensive training and coaching for basic calligraphy practices to introduce hijaiyah letter writing techniques correctly. The proposed solution includes an introduction to basic calligraphy techniques in the form of procedures for writing hijaiyah letters starting from the letter alif to the letter ya'. The implementation of this service begins with the observation method by gathering information about Al-Qur'an writing activities at MTs Darussalam Ibrahimy and to achieve the achievement targets set during the service, it continues with preparation and coordination, education and finally evaluation. The result obtained from this service is an increase in students' ability to write hijaiyah letters according to the rules of writing the Koran, although it is still far from the expected target. Their views on Arabic writing are starting to change, they no longer think that Arabic writing does not have certain techniques so they are careless in writing hijaiyah letters.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of linguistic structuralism principles in Abdullah Saeed’s interpretive methodology as elaborated in his seminal work Interpreting the Qur’an: Towards a Contemporary Approach. The research explores how modern linguistic theory, particularly that of Ferdinand de Saussure, influences the formulation of Saeed’s contextual interpretation of the Qur’an. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach and library research design, the data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data collection, reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that linguistic structuralism plays a significant role in shaping Abdullah Saeed’s interpretive framework, especially in viewing the Qur’an as a system of signs whose meaning emerges from the relational interaction between linguistic elements and their socio-historical contexts. Through four systematic interpretive stages—linguistic analysis, historical contextualization, contemporary meaning construction, and practical application of Qur’anic values—Saeed proposes an integrative model that bridges structural linguistics and Qur’anic hermeneutics. The study implies that linguistic structuralism strengthens the scientific and contextual basis of contemporary Qur’anic interpretation. However, the study remains limited to a conceptual analysis of Saeed’s single work. Future research is recommended to conduct comparative studies involving other contemporary exegetes to further test the consistency and applicability of linguistic approaches within Qur’anic exegesis

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini dilaksanakan di Pondok Pesantren Nurul Jadid Wilayah Al-Mawaddah sebagai upaya meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran terjemah Al-Qur’an. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi meliputi keterbatasan jumlah mu’allimat yang kompeten serta rendahnya capaian santri terhadap target pembelajaran. Program ini difokuskan pada pendampingan intensif pelatihan terjemah Al-Qur’an dan pembentukan kader mu’allimat internal. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, serta evaluasi pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan secara rutin setiap pekan melalui kerja sama dengan pengurus Takhassus Dini dan tim PPTQ. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan santri dalam memahami struktur kebahasaan dan makna ayat Al-Qur’an. Dengan demikian, program ini berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran agama, penguatan kapasitas sumber daya manusia, serta kemandirian pesantren dalam penyelenggaraan pembelajaran terjemah Al-Qur’an secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Al-Qur'an Reading and Writing Assistance (BTQ) as a means of strengthening the Qur'anic literacy of i'dadiyah students through Game Based Learning (GBL) at the Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School in the Zaid Bin Tsabit Putri area is a form of community service that focuses on improving the quality of i'dadiyah students' abilities in learning to read and write the Qur'an The background of this program stems from the low learning motivation of i'dadiyah students due to a monotonous learning atmosphere. Therefore, the application of Game Based Learning (GBL) is considered an effective step to create a positive and enjoyable learning atmosphere, so that they are encouraged to increase their confidence when attending classes (5354_article). This assistance used the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, in which the assistants were present directly in the classroom to provide hands-on practice and periodic evaluations. The results of this assistance activity showed that the students' motivation to learn improved due to the use of educational games in learning, which increased the students' awareness of the importance of Qur'anic literacy. The final result of this mentoring is that learning involving the Game Based Learning (GBL) method is considered a real contribution and brings about change in improving the Qur'anic literacy of i'dadiyah students at the Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School in the Zaid Bin Tsabit Putri area.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the effect of dhikr on brain neuroplasticity and its implications for mental health. Using the thematic tafsir method, this study collects and analyses Qur'anic verses related to dhikr and mental health and examines books of tafsir as primary data sources. In contrast, secondary data are taken from books and scientific journal articles. The results show that the practice of dhikr can form new neural pathways related to concentration, emotional control, and improved cognitive abilities. Regular dhikr activities are proven to strengthen the brain's synaptic connections and improve the optimization of brain function through engaged focus. These findings indicate a convergence between spiritual practices and scientific findings, making dhikr an effective way to improve mental health and overall quality of life.

Abstract

Al-Qur’an sebagai panduan umat Islam, menuntut adanya kreatif dan inovatif dalam desain penyajiaan mushafnya, sebagai upaya memenuhi kebutuhan setiap muslim. Namun, di sisi lain komodifikasi Al-Qur’an juga tidak dapat dipisahkan dari dunia industri dan jual beli. Penerbit Oasis Terrace Recident merupakan salah satu penerbit Al-Qur’an dengan pemilihan tema perempuan. Ayat-ayat yang berkaitan dengan perempuan diberi tanda khusus (highlight) warna pink dengan harapan lebih mudah dipelajari dan dipahami oleh kaum muslimah.. Oleh karenanya, pada penelitian kali ini dibahas bagaimana penerbit Oasis Terrace Recident, dalam memilih dan menyajikan ayat-ayat bertemakan perempuan, dan bagaimana hubungannya dengan komodifikasi Al-Qur’an. Peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan jenis Library Research yang bersumber dari Al-Qur’an Ummul Mukminin. Selain itu, peneliti juga menggunakan salah satu tahapan dalam metode tafsir tematik sebagai cara pemilihan ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an bertemakan perempuan. Penelitian bersifat deskriptif-analitik. Hasil dari penelitian yaitu; Pertama, saat ini komoditas Al-Qur’an merupakan keniscayaan, demikian dengan penerbit Al-Qur’an Ummul Mukminin. Namun, yang bisa dilakukan adalah memenuhi standarisasi dalam penerbitan Al-Qur’an. Dalam hal ini Ummul Mukminin sudah mendapatkan pengesahan (tashih) untuk terbit. Kedua; dalam pemilihan ayat tentang perempuan, mushaf Ummul Mukminin lebih memprioritaskan pada pemilihan ayat berdasarkan kosa kata atau lafaz yang tertera. Tidak memprioritaskan pada konten ayat.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is a contagious disease that is transmitted through the air, namely through droplets when sufferers cough, sneeze or talk. The aim of this community service activity is to empower health cadres in preventing and treating Tuberculosis in Sukorambi Village, Sukorambi District, Jember Regency in 2024. Activity methods; Empowerment of health cadres in the form of health education and demonstrations carried out by Jember District Health Service which was attended by 20 cadres. Analysis of successful implementation looks at increased knowledge. The results of the training found tha there was an increase in knowledge before and after the training. The implementation of this community service really helps increase knowledge about the prevention and treatment of Tuberculosis infection in the Sukorambi Village are.
