Abstract

This was guided by the lack of critical thinking of SDN padarek III student at subject material tribes and cultures diversity of Indonesia. It was caused by teacher-centered learning method that make students less actively in achieving advance level of thinking. To oslve such problems, we used problem posing learning method then hopely will increase critical thinking of the students. This research used classroom action research model from Kemmis Taggart wich there were some circles, in every circle has plan, action, observation, and reflection. With conducting problem posing learning method which have proven success in increasing critical thinking of students. At cycle I critical thinking of students achieve 24% while at cycle II achieve 83%. Therefore, when teacher used problem posing learning method at material subject tribes and culture diversity significantly increased critical thinking of students of SDN Padarek III.

Abstract

Student learning outcomes are the most important thing in learning activities. The success of students in learning is influenced by the ferformance of good teachers and the activity of student in classroom, especially in science lessons that emphasizes students to play an active role during learning activitis. One the learning approaches that can be used to improve student activity in classroom is Discovery approach. This research was conducted using PTK, and model used is spiral Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. Discovery approach. Subject research are student SDN Sukasirna II subdistrict Sumedang Selatan residential Sumedang. Instrument in this study are observation guidelines ferformance teacher, activities student, test results, interview teacher, interview student, field notes, and dokumentation. Based on the results of research using Discovery approach can improve student learning outcomes. This can be see in the creasestudent learning outcomes.

Abstract

Banyaknya konsep IPA yang harus dipahami oleh siswa dengan proses pembelajarannya yang berpusat pada guru selama ini berdampak pada hasil pembelajaran siswa yang tidak sesuai dengan yang diharapakan oleh guru. Maka diperlukan proses pembelajaran yang dapat memfasilitasi siswa dalam memahami konsep-konsep dalam IPA, salahsatunya adalah dengan menggunakan Learning Cycle. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian yang dilakukan adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran konvensional dan model Learning Cycle terhadap hasil belajar siswa, dan untuk mengetahui apakah pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model Learning Cycle memiliki perbedaan rata-rata dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain penelitian yaitu kelompok kontrol prates-pasca tes beracak. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu instrumen data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model Learning Cycle maupun konvensional dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi gaya magnet. Dari hasil uji perbedaan dua rata-rata nilai disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model Learning Cycle maupun pembelajaran konvensional tidak terdapat perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada materi gaya magnet.

Abstract

This research aims to compare problem-based learning approach and guided inquiry approach that has a greater influence on mathematics communication ability and students’ learning motivation. This research used quasi experimental research method with the nonequivqlent control group design. The population of this research is all fourth grade students in the elementary school of Lelea subdistrict who use school based curriculum (KTSP). The sample in this research is taken fourth grade students of SDN Tugu II and fourth grade students of SDN Pengauban I.  The instrument used in this research is test of mathematics communication ability and attitude scale test of learning motivation,  teacher performance observation and students’ activity and interview. Based on the value of significance and the mean of final value, it is concluded that the PBL has a better effect than the guided inquiry approach to students' mathematics communication ability. However the students of PBL class, guided inquiry students have equal learning motivation in mathematics.Therefore, there is no positive and significant correlation between mathematics communication ability with students’ learning motivation.

Abstract

Skills Process Sciences (KPS) is a process in doing activities related to science. Scientific process skills can be improved through a lesson that can support students to participate more actively during the learning process. One of the ways used to make students more active during the learning process is by applying contextual teaching or learning (CTL). In learning CTL, teacher's role is as facilitator, motivator, and creator to help construct student's knowledge. CTL learning can improve the science process skills of class V students on material changes in the properties of objects. This is evidenced by the research that has been done by using classroom action research methods that have done for three cycles. Based on the research, the application of CTL can improve the science process skills of Cikondang II State Elementary School students

Abstract

Mathematical connection means the important component of the students on learning mathematics. While, adversity quotient, in short AQ shows the ability of someone on facing and solving the difficulties in their life. Contextual approach is used as an alternative way for increasing the students’ ability in mathematical connection and their AQ. Research method on this research is quasi-experiment design nonequivalen pretest-postest control group design with cluster sampling techniques, SDN 1 Cikalahang and SDN 1 Bobos as the research sample. Instruments used in this research are test of mathematical connection which has been validated and questionnaire which measures the students’ AQ. The result finding reports that the contextual approach better than conventional approach which have positive effect to mathematics connection, can be seen from the improvement of mathematical connection capability in class use contextual approach. However, the contextual approach and conventional approach doesn’t positive effect students AQ, there is doesn’t increase the students’ AQ. Then, the result finding shows there are no relationsip between the ability of mathematical connection and AQ of the students in class use contextual approach and conventional approach.

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil observasi diketahui siswa kesulitan mengemukakan pendapat mengenai deskripsi petunjuk denah secara lisan dengan kalimat yang runtut. Kurangnya kreativitas guru, minimnya fasilitas, kurangnya semangat belajar dan rasa ingin tahu siswa sehingga pembelajaran menjadi tidak efektif. Upaya dilakukan dengan menerapkan model cooperative learning tipe jigsaw  berbantuan media denah 3D. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart.  Instrumen yang digunakan observasi perencanaan dan pelaksanaan kinerja guru, wawancara siswa dan guru, format aktivitas siswa, catatan lapangan dan tes hasil belajar. Pada data awal, siswa tuntas sembilan orang dengan persentase 29,03% dari jumlah siswa 31 orang.  Siklus I empat belas orang dengan persentase 45%. Siklus II 21 orang dengan persentase 68%. Siklus III 27 orang dengan persentase 87%. Dengan demikian penerapan model cooperative learning tipe jigsaw  berbantuan media denah 3D telah meningkatkan kemampuan belajar siswa pada materi mendeskripsikan petunjuk denah di kelas IV SDN Sukatali Kecamatan Situraja Kabupaten Sumedang.Kata Kunci : Model Cooperative Learning, Teknik Jigsa, Media Denah 3D.

Abstract

Social Studies is a subject in elementary school, aimed at developing the social skills of elementary school students. Social skills that must be owned by each individual is the interaction. Learning model that emphasizes the interaction and used in this research is STAD cooperative learning model (Student Teams - Achievement Divisions) by using Nature Card Media. This research method is classroom action research by using Model Kemmis and Taggart. This research was conducted in two cycles. the goal is to improve the process and the results of learning results of research on the cycle I and cycle II, student learning outcomes improved very well. The result of the research on the first cycle is 90% which is equivalent to 27 students completed, while the second cycle of 100% is obtained equal to 30 students equipped with 97% target. Thus, the STAD cooperative model by using the Natural Card is declared successful in improving the fourth grade student learning outcomes in the view of Natural and Social and Cultural Variety materials.

Abstract

The ability of think creatively can be used to solve problems in real life. The purpose of this research is to know the impact of discovery learning on  creative thinking ability on high, medium and low group students. Teaching method on this research is discovery learning. This research uses pre-experimental method with one-group pretest and posttest design. The population that used on this study is all 4th grade students in Tanjungsari, Sumedang. The samples that studied are 4th grade students of SDN Sukamantri and SDN Cikandang. The instruments thas used are creative thinking ability test, teacher performance observation, and student activity, questionnaire, note field and interviews. Based on the reasults, discovery learning can improve creative thinking ability of high, medium and low group students. Other than that, there’s no enhancement differences between high, medium and low group students.

Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa pada materi sifat-sifat magnet. Upaya yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut adalah dengan menggunakan model inkuiri. Model inkuiri adalah model pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada pembelajaran siswa aktif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode penelitian tindakan kelas. Berdasarkan hasil pelaksanaan siklus I sampai III, maka model pembelajaran inkuiri dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan juga aktivitas siswa pada materi sifat-sifat magnet. Hal ini dapat tergambarkan pada aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa sebagai berikut. Untuk aktivitas siswa pada siklus I mencapai 32%, siklus II 64% dan siklus III 86%. Sedangkan untuk hasil belajar siklus I siswa yang dikatakan tuntas adalah sebanyak yaitu 45%, untuk siklus II 73%, dan untuk siklus III sebanyak 91%. Maka dari itu, penggunaan model inkuiri dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa mengenai materi sifat-sifat magnet di Kelas V SDN Sukajaya Kecamatan Jatinunggal Kabupaten Sumedang dikatakan berhasil.Kata kunci: Inkuiri, Sifat-sifat Magnet, Hasil Belajar.
