Abstract

 Kegiatan PPM ini bertujuan untuk mengupayakan agar para guru IPA dapat memaksimalkan pemanfaatan KIT IPA dalam pembelajaran IPA. Selain itu, kegiatan PPM ini juga dapat memberikan bekal bagi para guru IPA tentang langkah-langkah konkret pemanfaatan KIT IPA dalam pembelajaran IPA. Pemecahan masalah tersebut dapat dilakukan dengan pelatihan yang meliputi beberapa langkah kegiatan. Langkah pertama melakukan identifikasi jenis-jenis peralatan KIT IPA yang dimiliki di SMP. Langkah kedua menganalisis ketersediaan peralatan KIT IPA SMP yang sesuai dengan Kurikulum 2013 yang digunakan. Langkah ketiga melakukan pelatihan penggunaan peralatan KIT IPA SMP. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil dari kegiatan PPM tersebut adalah para guru IPA SMP dapat memaksimalkan pemanfaatn KIT IPA guna mengimplementasikan kurikulum 2013 dalam pembelajaran IPA SMP. Selain itu para guru IPA SMP memperoleh bekal tentang langkah-langkah konkret pemanfaatan KIT IPA dalam pembelajaran IPA. Kata kunci: kurikulum 2013, implementasi, kegiatan belajar mengajar (KBM) Training on the Use of SMP KIT Tool for Junior High School TeachersKalasan District of Sleman Regency to Support Teaching and Learning Activities (KBM) in Implementing Curriculum 2013Abstract           This PPM activity aims to strive for IPA teachers to maximize the utilization of IPA KIT in science learning. In addition, this PPM activity can also provide stock for science teachers about concrete steps of IPA KIT utilization in science learning. Such problem solving can be done with training that includes several steps of activities. The first step to identify the types of KIT equipment IPA owned in SMP. The second step analyzes the availability of KIT IPA SMP equipment in accordance with the Curriculum 2013 used. The third step is to train the use of KIT IPA SMP equipment. The conclusions that can be drawn from these PPM activities are the teachers of IPA SMP can maximize the utilization of IPA KIT to implement the 2013 curriculum in science lesson of SMP. Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk melatih para guru Fisika Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) perwakilan MGMP Kabupaten Gunungkidul, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) untuk membuat sabun cuci tangan dengan bahan tambahan nanopartikel perak (AgNP). Pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat memperluas wawasan dan keterampilan para guru Fisika dalam menyintesis material nano, yaitu AgNP dan pemanfaatannya dalam pembuatan sabun cuci tangan. Wawasan dan keterampilan ini nantinya dapat diteruskan kepada peserta didik di sekolah masing-masing di kawasan kabupaten Gunungkidul. Tim PkM melaksanakan pelatihan yang meliputi dua kegiatan, yaitu: 1) kegiatan daring yang berisi pemaparan materi tentang teknologi pembuatan sabun cuci tangan dan 2) praktik membuat AgNP dan membuat sabun cuci tangan yang ditambah bahan AgNP untuk para guru Fisika SMA di lingkungan MGMP Gunungkidul. Hasil yang dicapai dari kegiatan PkM ini adalah peserta PkM dari MGMP Gunungkidul memperoleh pengetahuan tentang langkah-langkah konkret pembuatan AgNP dan pembuatan sabun cuci tangan dengan bahan tambahan AgNP.

Abstract

Understanding the thermodynamic properties of Ga2Te3  material is a basic concept in material applications. Ga2Te3  material has attracted the attention of many researchers,  especially its application in photodetector devices, light-emitting diodes, nano-electronics, and lithium storage materials. Therefore, this research studied the Ga-Te system thermodynamically optimized crystal temperature using F*A*C*T software. The availability of thermodynamic data from this study may be helpful in the experiments. A thin layer of Ga2Te3 fabricates using the closed space vapor transport method.  A thin layer of Ga2Te3 characterizes by x-ray diffraction and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDX). The thin layer of Ga2Te3 resulting from deposition is cubic structured crystalline, and its composition is stoichiometric. The results of the thermodynamic study of the deposit of the thin film Ga2Te3 explain a thorough understanding of the formation mechanism of the reactions that occur in the closed space vapor transport method in the vertical reactor.

Abstract

Pancasila is the basis of the state and ideology of the Indonesian nation. However, the practice of Pancasila values as the character of the Indonesian nation in everyday life has decreased. Therefore, it is important to integrate Pancasila into learning a strengthen student character education. The study aims to (1) develop an integrated android physics flipbook product with Pancasila values in Newton's Law material and (2) determine the feasibility of the product being developed. This research is development research. The development model used is the 4D model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). The development is carried out by involving a material expert, a media expert, two teachers, and a colleague. The product trial stage was carried out by involving 36 students of class XI MIA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Prambanan Klaten. Data analysis used quantitative analysis with descriptive statistics. This study shows that the Flipbook media developed has the advantage of Newton's Law material which is integrated with Pancasila values, has a media aspect assessment score of 3.93 with a very good category, material aspect of 3.89 with a very good category, and student responses during trials. of 3.34 with good category. Furthermore, teachers or other researchers can develop learning media that are integrated with Pancasila values for other physics materials.

Abstract

The use of independent instructional materials and the integration of Pancasila values need to improve students’ cognitive and affective abilities. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the integrated physics learning e-module integrated with practicing Pancasila values in momentum and impulse to improve students’ critical thinking skills and hard work character. The independent variable is the use of integrated physics learning e-module integrated with practicing Pancasila values and textbook, while the dependent variable is the critical thinking skill and hard work character. The type of this research is Quasi Experiment with a Pretest-Posttest Control-Group Design. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling involving 70 students of the 10th-grade science class of a State Islamic High School in Yogyakarta. The instruments used were essay questions of critical thinking skills and a hard work character questionnaire. The data were then analyzed using MANOVA statistical test. The results showed that the physics learning e-module integrated with practicing Pancasila values in momentum and impulse effectively improved the students’ critical thinking skills and hard work character on momentum and impulse. This shows that the use of independent instructional material such as e-modules has a good impact on improving cognitive and affective abilities, not only because students learn content in e-modules, but also because they can monitor their learning process, realize their mistakes, and plan the learning process according to their abilities.

Abstract

Samples of vanadium- and -chromium doped TiO2-anatas have been conducted antibacterial activity against the bacteria Escherichia coli (E. Coli). The minimum kill concentration (MBC) against the bacteria of E. Coli is determined  by liquid dilution method. The antibacterial activity test of 0; 2.3; 3.3; 4.9% wt. vanadium doped TiO2-anatas and 0; 1.1; 3.9; 4.4% wt. chromium doped TiO2-anatas have been performed against bacteria of E. Coli in the absence of light (dark). The test results indicate that the presence of 3.3 and 4.9 in %wt. vanadium-TiO2-anatas are able to inhibit the growth of bacteria E. Coli, contrary all chromium doped TiO2-anatas are not able to inhibit the growth of bacteria of E. Coli.

Abstract

This study reveals for the first time the formation of lead(II) sulfide (PbS) thin films via direct deposition of PbS powder using carbon nanodots (Cdots) as a complexing agent. The chemical bath deposition (CBD) technique was utilized and the Cdots’ mass was varied, i.e., (in g) 3, 5, 7, and 9. The Cdots were prepared from the waste of a rice noodle production home industry via the low-temperature carbonization method. The Cdots were characterized using UV-Vis spectrophotometry, showing absorption peaks at 275 nm and 325 nm; PL, showing an emission peak at 500 nm with cyan luminescence; XRD, showing several peaks, indicating an incomplete carbonization process; FTIR, indicating the existence of C=C, C-H, C-O, and O-H functional groups; HRTEM, revealing the sizes of the Cdots in the range of 2 nm to 6 nm; and SEM, showing a smooth morphology of the Cdots’ surface. The thin films obtained were smooth with higher XRD peaks and better material distribution compared to pure PbS thin film. The band gap measurement indicated that the increase of the PbS band gap was caused by the increase of the Cdots’ mass. Hence, the thin films’ band gap may be tuned using the Cdots’ mass.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh alur pemanasan terhadap kualitas struktur kristal Sn(S0,5Te0,5), mengetahui komposisi kimia dan morfologi permukaan kristal Sn(S0,5Te0,5) hasil preparasi dengan teknik Bridgman. Proses preparasi kristal Sn(S0,5Te0,5) dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik Bridgman dengan melakukan variasi alur pemanasan. Alur pemanasan divariasi sebanyak 3 kali, yaitu alur pemanasan I: suhu 250oC konstan selama 4 jam, suhu 500oC konstan selama 4 jam; alur pemanasan II: suhu 250oC konstan selama 2 jam, suhu 500oC konstan selama 6 jam; alur pemanasan III: suhu 250oC konstan selama 6 jam, suhu 500oC kontan selama 2 jam. Kristal dikarakterisasi menggunakan XRD, SEM dan EDS. Hasil karakterisasi XRD menunjukan semua sampel memiliki struktur kristal cubic dengan parameter kisi, sampel I: a=6.263 Å; sampel II: a=6.271 Å; sampel III: a=6.283 Å. Variasi alur pemanasan berpengaruh pada parameter kisi kristal. Kristal terbaik dihasilkan dari alur pemanasan II. Hal tersebut mengindikasikan bahwa pada alur pemanasan II memiliki pemilihan waktu pemanasan dan suhu pemanasan terbaik dibanding dengan alur pemanasan lainnya. Hasil karakterisasi SEM menunjukan morfologi kristal Sn(S0,5Te0,5) sudah terbentuk. Terbentuknya kristal ditandai dengan munculnya grain dan polikristal yang tersusun berlapis dengan ukuran 5 μm – 10 μm. Berdasarkan hasil EDS kristal Sn(S0,5Te0,5) mengandung unsur Sn,S, dan Te dengan presentase komposisi kimia unsur Sn = 54.42%; S = 11.20%; Te = 34.38%. Perbandingan mol antara unsur Sn: S: Te adalah 1 : 0,2 : 0,6. Berdasarkan presentase komposisi kimia antara unsur Sn,S, dan Te bahwa kristal Sn(S0,5Te0,5) kaya akan unsur Sn dan Te namun miskin akan unsur S.Kata kunci: kristal Sn(S0,5Te0,5), alur pemanasan, kualitas kristalAbstractThis research aims to know the effect of the heating sequence of the crystal quality Sn(S0,5Te0,5), to know the composition and the surface morphology of Sn(S0,5Te0,5) crystal preparation results by bridgman technique. The preparation process of Sn(S0,5Te0,5) crystal was performed using bridgman technique with heating sequence variation. heating sequence was varied for 3 times, i.e heating sequence I: temperature 250oC constant for 4 hours, temperature 500oC constant for 4 hours; heating sequence II: temperature 250oC constant for 2 hours, temperature 500oC constant for 6 hours; heating sequence III: temperature 250oC constant for 6 hours, temperature 500oC constant for 2 hours. The crystal was characterized by X-Ray Diffraction, Scanning Electron Microscopy, and Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy. The XRD characterization results show that all sampels have cubic crystal structure with the value of lattice parameters are sample I (heating sequence I): a=6.263 Å; sampel II (heating sequence II): a=6.271 Å; sampel III (heating sequence III): a=6.283 Å. The variation in heating sequence have effect on crystal lattice parameter. The best crystal was produced by heating sequence II. That phenomena indicate that heating sequence II has the best determining the heating time and the heating temperature. The SEM characterization shows that surface morphology of Sn(S0,5Te0,5) crystal has been formed. The formation of crystals characterized by the emergence of structured grain and layered polycrystalline with a size of 5 μm - 10 μm. Based on the result of EDS, Sn(S0,5Te0,5) crystal contain elements of Sn, S, and Te with chemical composition percentage are Sn = 54.42%; S = 11.20%; Te = 34.38%. The molarity comparison of Sn: S: Te is 1 : 0,2 : 0,6. Based on chemical composition percentage that Sn (S0,5Te0,5) crystal rich in elements Sn and Te but the poor in element S.Keywords: Sn(S0,5Te0,5) crystal, heating sequence, crystal quality

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh suhu substrat terhadap kualitas lapisan tipis Sn(S0,5Te,5), mengetahui struktur kristal, parameter kisi, morfologi permukaan dan komposisi kimia lapisan tipis Sn(S0,5Te,5) hasil preparasi dengan teknik evaporasi vakum.Proses penumbuhan kristal lapisan tipis Sn(S0,5Te,5) menggunakan teknik evaporasi vakum dilakukan dengan memanaskan bahan Sn, S, dan Te pada suhu tertentu dengan perbandingan molaritas 1:0,5:0,5. Dalam penelitian ini, penumbuhan kristal lapisan tipis Sn(S0,5Te,5) dengan memvariasikan suhu substrat, yaitu 350oC, 450oC, 500oC, dan 600oC. Lapisan tipis Sn(S0,5Te,5) hasil preparasi dengan teknik evaporasi vakum kemudian dikarakterisasi menggunakan XRD (X-Ray Diffraction) untuk menentukan struktur kristal dan parameter kisi kristal, SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy) untuk mengetahui morfologi permukaan kristal, dan EDS (Energy Dispersive Spectrometry) untuk mengetahui komposisi kimia pada kristal.Hasil karakterisasi XRD berupa difaktogram menunjukkan hasil bahwa kristal pada lapisan tipis Sn(S0,5Te,5) yang terbentuk berstruktur kubik, dengan nilai parameter kisi pada sampel 1 a = 6,071 Å, sampel 2 a = 6,108 Å, sampel 3 a= 6,497 Å, dan untuk sampel 4 amofr. Hasil karakterisasi SEM memperlihatkan bahwa kristal pada lapisan tipis Sn(S0,5Te,5) yang terbentuk memiliki keseragaman bentuk dan warna butiran kecil-kecil serta sudah terbentuk grain dan hasil karakterisasi EDS diperoleh perbandingan unsur Sn:S:Te yaitu 1 : 0,25 : 0,51. Kata kunci: struktur kristal, lapisan tipis, teknik evaporasi vakum, preparasi AbstractThis reserch aims to determine the effect of heating subtrate temperature on the quality of Sn(S0.5Te0.5), the crystal structure, lattice parameter,surface morphology and chemical composition of the Sn(S0.5Te0.5) thin film by vacuum evaporation technique.The crystal growwing process of Sn(S0,5Te0,5) thin film by vacuum evaporation technique was done by heating the material at a certain temperature and molarity 1: 0.5: 0.5 comparison. In this research, the process of growing crystals of the Sn(S0.5Te0.5) thin film with the variation of subtrate temperature are 350oC, 450oC, 500oC, and 600oC. The result of thin film preparation by vacuum evaporation technique is characterized by XRD (X-Ray Diffaction) to determine crystal structure, SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy) to dertermine the crystal surface morphology, and  EDS (Energy Dispersive Spectrometry) to the determine chemical composition of crystals.The result of XRD characterization shows that diffractogram  from crystalline of the Sn(S0.5Te0.5) thin film have cubic crystal structure with the values of lattice parameter, on sample 1 a = 6.071 Å, sample 2 6.108 Å, sample 3 a = 6.497 Å, and for the sample 4 amofr. The result of SEM characterization shows that the crystalline of Sn(S0.5Te0.5) thin film that formed has the pieces of grains and homogeneous and the results of EDS characterization obtained Sn:S:Te molarity ratio is 1:0.25:0.51. Key words : crystal structure, thin film, vacuum evaporation technique, preparation

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kandungan unsur logam menggunakan XRF dan OES sebagai penentu tingkat kekerasan pada baja paduan yang terdiri dari logam SS304, SS310, Low Alloy, dan 17-4PH produksi PT Petrokimia Gresik, Jawa Timur. Teknik yang dilakukan untuk mengetahui variasi unsur dan persentase bahan mineral dalam baja adalah dengan menggunakan karakterisasi X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) dan Optical Emission Spectroscopy (OES). Sampel yang berbentuk lempengan tersebut kemudian diuji menggunakan metode pengujian Rockwell untuk mengetahui tingkat kekerasan baja sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variasi jenis baja sampel menyebabkan perbedaan pada tingkat kekerasan baja. Hasil pengujian menggunakan Rockwell yang kemudian dikonversikan kedalam satuan Brinell memperlihatkan bahwa urutan baja dari empat sampel yang memiliki tingkat kekerasan paling tinggi 17-4PH = (372 ± 7) satuan Brinell, SS304 = (159 ± 4) satuan Brinell, Low Alloy = (141 ± 3) satuan Brinell, dan SS310 = (123 ± 3) satuan Brinell. Hasil karakterisasi XRD dan OES dapat diketahui bahwa unsur-unsur yang paling berpengaruh pada urutan tingkat kekerasan adalah unsur karbon (C) dan vanadium (V). Semakin besar persentase kandungan unsur karbon dan vanadium, maka semakin besar pula tingkat kekerasannya. Pada logam 17-4PH yang memiliki tingkat kekerasan paling tinggi mengandung unsur karbon dan vanadium paling besar diantara keempat sampel yakni 0,206% dan 0,102%. Pada logam yang memiliki tingkat kekerasan paling rendah yakni SS310 mengandung unsur karbon dan vanadium yang paling rendah sebesar 0,141% dan 0,064%. Kata kunci: kekerasan baja, baja, XRF dan OES Abstract This research aimed to identify substance concentration of alloy steel using XRF and OES in order to define the alloy steel hardness of SS304, SS310, Low Alloy, and 17-4PH produced by PT Petrokimia Gresik, East Java. X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) and Optical Emission Spectroscopy (OES) technique were used to determine the substance and its percentage of steel. Sample was then tested using Rockwell method to determine the hardness of the steel. The result showed that hardness were different for different alloy steel substance concentration. The Rockwell method is result were then the converted to Brinell unit, and shown from the hardest to the lowest as follows: 17-4PH = (327 ± 7), SS304 = (159 ± 4), Low Alloy = (141 ± 3), and SS310 = (123 ± 3). The characterization result using XRD and OES showed that the substances which have contribution to the hardness value of the steel at normal temperature were karbon (C) and vanadium (V). The bigger Carbon and Vanadium concentration in the steel, the hardness level will be higher. The 17-4PH steel which has the highest level of hardness contain the biggest amount of Carbon and Vanadium among four samples, which are 0,206% and 0,102% respectively.
