Abstract

Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) poses a significant health risk due to long-term exposure to carbon monoxide-containing kitchen fumes. Installation of a cooker hood or kitchen smoke extractor with an automated fan is crucial for prevention. This study employed a research and development approach to evaluate the effectiveness of utilizing the NodeMCU ESP8266, MQ-7 sensor, 16x2 I2C LCD, and overall system configuration. Experimental results revealed the MQ-7 sensor's rapid response to smoke intensity changes, with an average 3.77-second response time and a range of detection up to 10cm. Relay testing for fan speed control, using three voltage inputs (5V, 9V, and 12V), categorized conditions as SLOW (PPM>10), MED (PPM <11 & >20), and HIGH (PPM>21). The tests demonstrated optimal performance, as the system successfully adjusted fan speeds based on varying smoke intensity levels, ensuring a healthy air quality environment.

Abstract

Pencemaran limbah minyak akan berdampak buruk terhadap lingkungan seperti penurunan daya lingkungan.Penurunan daya lingkungan dapat dilihat dari rusaknya kehidupan organisme lingkungan perairan. Rusaknya kehidupan organisme lingkungan perairan sangat berdampak pada produktivitas nelayan yang ada di dunia. MenurutIMO (Internasional Maritime Organization) kualifikasi kepekatan limbah minyak yang dapat dibuang harus kurang dari 15 ppm (Part Per Million). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk merancang dan mewujudkan sistem monitoring oil waterseparator pada sistem kapal. Sistem ini berfungsi sebagai pemisah antara air laut dengan minyak yang disebabkan limbah dari ruang mesin kapal yang ditampung pada tangki. Proses pemisahan ini menggunakan komponen servovalve yang memiliki fungsi sebagai kran automatic yang dimana pergerakannya diperintah  oleh mikrokontroller arduino mega 2560 melalui sensor Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) . Sedangkan sensor Total Dissolve Solid (TDS)dan display  Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) sebagai indikator sekaligus untuk memantau proses tersebut. Penerapan barometer ini ditujukan untuk memonitor kadar air yang dibuang agar tidak melebihi 15 ppm.

Abstract

Brushless direct current (BLDC) motor speed performance is an essential component that must be considered in the electric vehicle drive system. This research aims to obtain the transfer function from the mathematical modeling of the BLDC motor and optimization of the BLDC motor so that a high transient response is received. The method used in this study is to identify system parameters and then model them using the structure of the autoregressive exogenous (ARX) polynomial model. Meanwhile, to get a high transient response performance, optimization is done with a hybrid intelligent controller. The experimental findings indicate that the optimization process utilizing the bat method yielded the most favorable transient response. The resulting values for the proportional gain (Kp), integral gain (Ki), and derivative gain (Kd) were determined to be 31.2685, 7.7375, and -1.1934, respectively. In the current investigation, the minimum frequency value is 6381934.619. Also determined are the transient response characteristics, which include a rise time of 0.289 seconds, a settling time of 10.9 seconds, an overshoot of 3.4%, and a peak time of 1.04 seconds. Furthermore, the closed-loop system demonstrates stable behavior in terms of stability.

Abstract

Latihan beban untuk kesehatan dan penampilan sudah menjadi kegiatan yang sangat terkenal di antara para pelajar bahkan bagi yang lebih tua. Alasanya sederhana. Latihan ini menghasilkan tenaga yang lebih baik, otot-otot yang menonjol, perbaikan postur tubuh dan pengelolaan stres. Otot merupakan bagian tubuh aktif karena mampu mengendalikan organ tubuh lain sehingga kita bisa bergerak. Tujuan dari pembuatan Rancang Bangun Alat Penghitung Repetisi Olahraga Biceps Arm Curl dengan Sensor EMG adalah untuk menghitung kontraksi otot seseorang ketika melakukan olahraga biceps arm curl secara otomatis. Angka yang didapat merupakan hasil dari pembacaan sensor otot v3 saat otot kontraksi kemudian diproses oleh arduino nano lalu akan ditampilkan di liquid crystal display. Alat penghitung repetisi olahraga biceps arm curl ini memiliki tiga komponen utama yaitu sensor otot V3, mikrokontroller Arduino nano, dan elektroda.

Abstract

Currently, Fuel Cell technology is widely used as a supporting technology for energy storage systems in the electrical system. With the widespread use of renewable energy as an energy source today, several schemes have been tried for the installation of Fuel Cells after the converter, but the performance of the Fuel Cells is not very helpful because the response time is not significant enough to raise power requirements when input intermittent occurs (on a time scale of seconds). . In this study, a simulation of the installation of a fuel cell was carried out in an isolated electrical system (off-grid) containing solar panels. To increase the performance of the Fuel Cell, the installation will be carried out by Direct-Coupling before the converter. The results of this study indicate that the installation of Direct-Coupling can help improve the performance of Fuel Cells in off-grid renewable energy electrical systems.

Abstract

Penggunaan library OpenCV Python telah dikembangkan di segala bidang teknologi, termasuk di bidang industri. Dalam dunia industri, terdapat alat penyortir benda berupa konveyor. Alat-alat tersebut saat ini sudah lebih canggih karena menggunakan kamera untuk membaca benda-benda yang akan disortir. Tujuan dari penerapan sistem OpenCV (Open Source Computer Vision Library) pada konveyor penyortir benda ini adalah untuk mempermudah penyortiran benda berdasarkan teknologi pendeteksian warna. Metode OpenCV untuk deteksi objek berdasarkan warna digunakan untuk memilih objek-objek tersebut. Langkah pertama dalam mengidentifikasi objek yang dimaksud adalah dengan menangkap objek RGB (merah, hijau, dan biru) secara real-time dan mengubah warnanya menjadi HSV. Selain itu, dengan menutupi objek sehingga berada di tengah dan menerapkan ambang batas, proses morfologi dapat digunakan untuk menghilangkan noise yang tidak perlu dari gambar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan untuk membedakan objek berdasarkan warna RGB ketika mereka telah diurutkan dengan mempertimbangkan nilai HSV pada permukaan objek berwarna.

Abstract

Fish farmers who are members of the Gelondoro fish cultivator farmer group, Kedungpandan Jabon Sidoarjo village, utilize the main food source, namely aquatic plants that grow naturally in pond ponds and buy fish feed pellets from the factory as additional food for the tilapia they cultivate. The problem is, the number of aquatic plants that grow in pond ponds is limited and the price of fish feed pellets is expensive. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide knowledge about the formulation of fish feed pellets containing correct and appropriate nutrients for partners. The method used in this community service activity is to calculate the formulation of tilapia feed with a protein content of 45% for the needs of 15 kg of feed ingredients. The results of the activity showed that the rice bran, wheat, and corn flour needed for each ingredient was 873 grams. Meanwhile, for anchovy, snail and soybean meal, 4,125 grams of each ingredient are required. The formulation has resulted in the composition of ingredients for nutrition which is determined at 45% for 15 kg of fish pellets.

Abstract

Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) motor as an electric vehicle driving motor, its speed control is directly proportional to the voltage applied to its terminals. Therefore the applied average voltage or the average current flowing through the motor will change depending on the duty cycle of the ON and OFF time of the pulses, so the motor speed will change. The purpose of this research is to apply the ARM STM32F4 microcontroller to control the speed of the BLDC motor and obtain the transfer function equation of the BLDC motor. The method used in this study is an ARM STM32F4 microcontroller generating a duty cycle through Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) control which causes changes in the ON and OFF switches of the three-phase inverter. The variable change data is then modeled mathematically in the form of a transfer function using the System Identification Toolbox (SIT) application in Mathlab programming. The results of calculations and tests show that the ARM STM32F4 microcontroller functions well in regulating the rotational speed of the BLDC motor.

Abstract

Pelet pakan ikan merupakan komponen penting yang mempengaruhi kelompok petani Gelondoro Desa Kedungpandan dalam melakukan budidaya ikan, karena hampir 65% para kelompok tani ikan modal usahanya  diperuntukkan untuk membeli pakan ikan. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah meningkatkan pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui kegiatan sosialisasi dan praktek pembuatan pelet pakan ikan yang memanfaatkan motor dinamo sebagai penggerak mesin . Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat adalah tahap pertama mensosialisasikan bagaimana membuat formulasi pakan ikan yang mempunyai kandungan protein yang tinggi. Tahap kedua adalah membuatnya dalam bentuk pelet pakan ikan, dan tahap ketiga adalah praktek pembuatan pelet pakan ikan. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat menunjukkan bahwasanya kelompok tani ikan Gelondoro Desa Kedungpandan berhasil membuat pelet pakan ikan dengan kandungan formulasi protein yang telah ditentukan dengan memanfaatkan motor dinamo sebagai penggerak mesin pelet pakan ikan.

Abstract

Abstract Natural disasters often occur on this earth, especially in Indonesia. There are several types of disasters that occur, namely: geological disasters, hydrometeorological disasters and others. This natural disaster caused quite a lot of casualties and not a few material. Good post-natural disaster management is necessary to minimize the number of victims of a disaster. One form of handling this natural disaster is by providing electrical energy that can be used to provide lighting and communication systems. The provision of electrical energy consists of several integrated systems to form a compact, simple and efficient unit. This tool consists of a Solar Power Generation system, GenSet system, inverter system, Change Over Switch system and Global Positioning System system. This tool is named SUNPO which stands for Sun Power or Solar Power. With this SUNPO, it can function as a power supply to power direct current loads and alternating current loads. If the solar power is not enough to charge the battery then the system can be operated with a GenSet. Meanwhile, to find out the position of SUNPO, a Global Positioning System is also installed. Highlights: Effective Disaster Response: Efficient post-disaster management is crucial to minimize casualties and damage caused by natural disasters, especially in Indonesia. SUNPO Tool Integration: The SUNPO (Sun Power) tool integrates solar power generation, GenSet backup, inverter, changeover switch, and GPS systems to provide a reliable and compact solution for electricity supply in disaster-stricken areas. Dual Power Source: SUNPO offers dual power sources - solar energy and GenSet - ensuring continuous electricity supply for both direct and alternating current loads, enhancing communication and lighting systems for affected communities.
