Abstract

Online lending services are a form of digital financial innovation that enables users to quickly access funds without the need for collateral. This study aims to explore the extent of students’ understanding regarding the widespread use of online loans among Gen Z. A descriptive approach was employed, utilizing questionnaires and interviews involving 60 students from a private university in Bandung. The increasing trend of online loan usage among students is driven by a consumerist lifestyle, social pressure, and limited awareness of associated risks and interest rates. Poor financial literacy can lead to negative consequences such as debt accumulation, financial stress, and mental health issues. Therefore, more intensive financial education efforts are essential to raise awareness and improve students’ financial literacy regarding the responsible use of online lending platforms.

Abstract

Household waste management remains a problem in several regions. Low public awareness of waste sorting is a contributing factor to increased environmental pollution and the loss of potential economic value. This study aims to analyze the role of waste banks in increasing the economic value of waste and encouraging the participation of RW 04 residents in community-based waste management. The research method used descriptive qualitative methods, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the waste bank can increase additional income for residents of RW 04, especially housewives, reduce the volume of waste disposed of in the environment, and raise public awareness of sustainable waste management. Therefore, the existence of a waste bank is an effective strategic solution for waste management while simultaneously empowering the economic value of RW 04 residents.

Abstract

A community service program (PKM) delivered participatory socialization and dialogue to support land acquisition planning for the rehabilitation of Cipancuh Dam, Indramayu, Indonesia. An intervention-based case study with a participatory, mixed-methods approach was applied to improve residents’ understanding of rehabilitation objectives, land acquisition planning stages, parcel listing–measurement–verification activities, and stakeholders’ rights and obligations. Forum findings highlighted recurring concerns regarding compensation, corporate social responsibility, and irrigation service distribution. Therefore, procedural clarification and accessible feedback/grievance channels are pivotal to strengthening social acceptance and preventing early-stage conflicts during land acquisition planning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the financial soundness level of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk during the 2023–2025 period using the CAMEL method. The CAMEL method evaluates bank soundness based on five main aspects: Capital, Asset Quality, Management, Earnings, and Liquidity. This research employs a descriptive quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from the officially published annual financial statements of Bank BRI. The ratios analyzed include the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Productive Asset Quality Ratio (KAP), Net Profit Margin (NPM), Return on Assets (ROA), Operating Expenses to Operating Income (BOPO), and Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR). The results indicate that, in general, the financial soundness of Bank BRI during the 2023–2025 period is classified as sound, with capital adequacy in a very sound condition. However, aspects related to management performance and operational efficiency still require attention, as reflected by declining profitability ratios and increasing operating expenses. This study is expected to provide useful references for related stakeholders and future research in the banking sector.

Abstract

Generation Z is an age group that grew up amidst the rapid development of digital technology. Easy access to information and various financial applications makes them very familiar with digital transactions such as e-wallets, mobile banking, and online investment. However, behind the adaptation of this technology, questions arise about the extent to which Gen Z is prepared to manage finances wisely and sustainably. This study aims to analyze the characteristics, behavior, and level of financial literacy of Gen Z in facing the challenges of the digital economy. The results of the analysis show that although Gen Z is active in using financial technology, they still have limitations in financial planning, risk management, and understanding of basic financial concepts.
