Abstract

Digital transformation in the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector has become a strategic necessity to improve the efficiency and transparency of financial management. This study aims to design and test a mobile-based accounting system that can support the digital recording, reporting, and financial management processes of MSMEs. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the Waterfall model, which includes the stages of needs analysis, system design using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) and functional testing using the Black Box Testing method. The results of the study indicate that all main features, including user registration, transaction recording, automatic reports, and multi-user management, function validly and according to functional specifications. Thus, the system can meet the basic accounting needs of MSMEs with a simple interface and real-time access via mobile devices. Practically, the results of this study produce a prototype of a mobile accounting application that can be implemented directly by MSMEs. Theoretically, this study enriches the literature on digital transformation in MSME accounting systems, while also serving as a basis for further development that includes data security features and artificial intelligence-based analytics.

Abstract

The climacteric and menopausal periods represent transitional phases in women characterized by a decline in estrogen levels, which increases the risk of uterine prolapse due to weakening of the pelvic floor muscles. One preventive effort that can be undertaken is Kegel exercise. This community service activity aimed to improve the knowledge and skills of women during the climacteric and menopausal periods in performing Kegel exercises as an effort to prevent uterine prolapse. The activity was conducted in September 2022 in Batugong Village, Lalonggasumeeto District, Konawe Regency, involving 40 female participants. The implementation method consisted of a preparation stage, education and implementation of Kegel exercises, and evaluation. Knowledge was measured using pre-test and post-test, while participants’ skills were evaluated after the educational intervention. The results showed an improvement in participants’ knowledge from poor to good among all participants after the education. In addition, the majority of participants demonstrated good ability in performing Kegel exercises. These findings indicate that education and implementation of Kegel exercises are effective in improving women’s knowledge and skills and have the potential to serve as a promotive and preventive intervention to prevent uterine prolapse during the climacteric and menopausal periods.

Abstract

The participants of this research consisted of one English teacher and sixth-grade students at SDIT Al-Iman Uluale. The data were analyzed using an interactive qualitative analysis model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing to identify patterns of politeness strategies used by students during classroom interaction. The findings revealed that Bugis tabe’ culture plays an important role in shaping students’ politeness strategies in English classroom interaction. Politeness was reflected through verbal expressions such as polite words, indirect utterances, and respectful language forms. Abstract

This study aimed to investigate how physical activities enhance EFL learners’ motivation in learning English at MTs YMPI Rappang. The research focused on identifying the types of physical activities that effectively increased students’ motivation and exploring the challenges encountered during their implementation in the classroom. Physical activities such as Total Physical Response (TPR), movement-based games, and role-playing were integrated into English lessons to create a more interactive and engaging learning environment. This research employed a descriptive qualitative design supported by quantitative data from questionnaires. The participants consisted of ninth-grade students at MTs YMPI Rappang and one English teacher. The data were collected through classroom observation, semi-structured interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The qualitative data were analyzed using the interactive model of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while the questionnaire data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The findings revealed that the integration of physical activities significantly improved students’ motivation, participation, and confidence in learning English. Students showed higher enthusiasm, were more actively involved in classroom activities, and demonstrated greater willingness to communicate during the learning process. Physical activities also created a more dynamic classroom atmosphere and reduced students’ anxiety toward learning English. However, several challenges were identified, including classroom management, time limitations, and differences in students’ learning styles. the use of physical activities in EFL classrooms positively contributes to enhancing students’ motivation and engagement in learning English. Therefore, integrating movement-based strategies into English instruction is recommended as an effective approach to create more interactive and motivating learning experiences.

Abstract

The promotion process of Civil Servants (PNS) is a critical component of human resource management aimed at improving performance and professionalism. However, in practice, the process often faces challenges such as subjective assessments and inefficiencies in data processing. This study aims to develop a classification model for determining the eligibility of regular promotions for civil servants using the Decision Tree C4.5 algorithm based on historical personnel data. The dataset consists of 6,193 records obtained from the Regional Personnel and Human Resource Development Agency of Pangkajene and Kepulauan Regency. The attributes used include years of service, performance scores, and employment type. The research stages involve data preprocessing, feature selection, model construction, and evaluation using confusion matrix, accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. The results indicate that the proposed model achieves an accuracy of 95.4%, with precision of 87.6%, recall of 83.7%, and F1-score of 85.6%. Additionally, the model generates interpretable decision rules that support decision-making processes. Therefore, the application of data mining using the C4.5 algorithm is proven effective in enhancing objectivity, transparency, and efficiency in civil servant promotion decision-making
