Abstract

This study finds that (1) the company’s goal definition refers to its vision of the six-dimensional milestone of smart city, (2) the company’s start refers to the initiation of its business model, (3) the company’s idea phase starts from the board of directors and market demand, (4) the project plan consists of project-based business activities and mainstream business activities, (5) the business model is based on the Business Model Canvas, (6) the business plan was divided into two: for each product and for the overall business, (7) the development phase was conducted both in-house and through cooperation with other companies, (8) the prototyping was carried out by creating the Minimum Viable Products, (9) the test phase involves both internal and external parties, (10) the realization phase consists of Smart City Master Plan, Information and Communication Technology Blueprint, and Smart Branding Blueprint, (11) the lesson learned is marked by the decision-making queues and double positioning, (12) the communication and internal marketing was held by conducting weekly and biweekly meetings, (13) documentation refers to the company’s grand design, and (14) the company’s continuous improvement refers to the development of the next version.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the business internal and external environments of Liebe Co and to identify the innovation potentials of the company. The data of this qualitative descriptive research was acquired from three methods; they are interview, observation, and documentation. The results of the Porter’s five forces analysis indicate that the threat for Liebe Co comes from newcomers and substitute products. Then, the innovation canvas suggests that there are three innovation potentials that can be implemented by Liebe Co; they are product innovation, marketing innovation, and technological innovation.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to identify the implementation of development strategy carried out by Lets Play Indonesia, a startup business, using the Lean Canvas approach. This study was conducted in response to the numerous collapsing initial driving startups and the worsening macroeconomic conditions during the last few years which disrupt the operation of educational startups. The data of this research was harvested from interviews, observations, and documentations. The results of the Lean Canvas analysis indicate that Lets Play Indonesia has not filled the key metrics part, so the product development strategy is required, in this case by adding an exercise evaluation feature. Furthermore, Lets Play Indonesia needs to add its customer segments by implementing market development strategy since its services have been well accepted. In terms of channels, Lets Play Indonesia needs to implement a more massive market penetration. Here information regarding the excellence of the solutions that they offer can be spread more widely using LinkedIn, company website, press release, and commerce journal. In general, Lets Play Indonesia needs to implement a focus strategy by applying differentiation and cost leadership strategies.

Abstract

Companies nowadays are faced with challenges ranging from climate changes, social disparities, and resource scarcity. These problems require them to adopt a more sustainable approach. One of the approaches that can help them attain their objectives is Danai Chanachaochai’s White Ocean strategy. The goal of this research is to analyze the implementation of the White Ocean strategy in a tissue company, TISOO.ID, by observing the strategy’s seven principles. The research data was harvested from interviews, observations, and documentations. The informants are the company’s CEO, COO and CFO as well as three consumers, totaling in six respondents. This study finds that the company has well implemented six principles of the White Ocean strategy; they are setting long-term objectives, finding balances between people, planet, profit, and passion; maintaining the company’s concept regarding the abundant resource on earth, establishing the company based on ethics, truth, and sincerity; acquiring power from individual social responsibility, and setting a benchmark within the industry. Meanwhile, the last principle, that is providing positive impact for the society, has not been optimally achieved.   Abstrak Perusahaan saat ini dihadapkan pada tantangan yang meliputi perubahan iklim, kesenjangan sosial, dan kelangkaan sumber daya yang mengharuskan mereka untuk mengadopsi pendekatan yang lebih berkelanjutan. Salah satu pendekatan strategi yang dapat menjalankan tujuan tersebut adalah White Ocean Strategy menurut Danai Chanachaochai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi white ocean strategy dengan melihat 7 prinsip yang ada dalam strategi tersebut pada perusahaan tisu yaitu TISOO.ID. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 6 orang, yaitu CEO, COO dan CFO TISOO serta 3 orang konsumen. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa TISOO telah menjalankan 6 prinsip WOS dengan baik, yaitu menetapkan tujuan jangka panjang; menemukan kesinambungan antara faktor manusia (people), planet, keuntungan (profit) dan semangat (passion); mempertahankan konsep perusahaan terkait berlimpahnya sumber daya di muka bumi; membangun perusahaan atas dasar etika, kebenaran dan ketulusan; perusahaan mendapatkan kekuatan dari tanggung jawab sosial individu; dan dapat menetapkan tolok ukur dalam suatu industri. Sedangkan, pada prinsip perusahaan harus memiliki dampak positif ke masyarakat belum dijalankan secara maksimal.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to analyze dissipation occurred in the new warehouse of 0-Phase Truss Aluminium in Batu City and to provide solutions through the application of the 5S method, which includes seiri, seiton, seiso, seiketsu, and shitsuke. This qualitative descriptive study starts by identifying the source of squandering through observations and interviews, whose results were used to find the root cause through the fishbone diagram. The next step is conducting the 5S valuation, followed by redesigning the 5S for the warehouse area. This study finds that 0-Phase Truss Aluminium has applied the 5S well, but the weak implementation of seiton and seiketsu still causes unnecessary movement, defects, and inventory. The redesigning of the 5S is the solution to reduce the dissipations and makes the warehousing activities more comfortable and optimal.   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemborosan yang terjadi pada gudang baru 0-Phase Truss Aluminium di Kota Batu dan memberikan solusi masalah menggunakan metode 5S (seiri, seiton, seiso, seiketsu, shitsuke). Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Metode penelitian ini dimulai dengan mengidentifikasi sumber pemborosan melalui observasi dan wawancara, kemudian dicari akar permasalahannya menggunakan fishbone diagram. Langkah selanjutnya dilakukan penilaian 5S dan perancangan kembali 5S pada area kerja gudang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan 5S pada gudang baru 0-Phase Truss Aluminium sudah baik namun pada bagian seiton dan seiketsu masih lemah sehingga terjadi pemborosan yaitu unnecessary movement, defects, dan inventory. Perancangan kembali 5S menjadi solusi untuk mengurangi pemborosan-pemborosan tersebut dan membuat aktivitas pergudang lebih nyaman dan maksimal.

Abstract

The increasing awareness of environmental sustainability has encouraged the F&B industry to increasingly adopt environmental conservation practices. This study examines the influence of green practices on business performance with competitive advantages as a mediator in the F&B industry. The prediction model was tested using the PLS-SEM analysis technique. The results show that green practices have a significant effect on business performance, green practices have a significant effect on competitive advantage, and competitive advantage has a significant effect on business performance. The study found that having a competitive edge partly helped improve business performance through green practices. Implementing green practices can increase the competitiveness of local culinary businesses and will ultimately impact on improving business performance.

Abstract

Learning Organization is one of the strategies for developing and enhancing the quality of human resources within an organization. This research aims to understand the implementation of the Learning Organization at SMPN 1 Mantup using Senge's theory, which focuses on five components or sub-foci of the Learning Organization: (1) Personal Mastery, (2) System Thinking, (3) Mental Models, (4) Shared Vision, and (5) Team Learning. This qualitative research employs a descriptive approach with data collection methods including interviews, observations, and document studies. Interviews were conducted with the school principal, teachers, and administrative staff at SMPN 1 Mantup. The results of this research indicate that SMPN 1 Mantup has implemented the Learning Organization strategy quite effectively. This is evident from the successful implementation of all five components or sub-foci of the Learning Organization, marked by the fulfillment of all indicators within these components through programs, activities, and individual initiatives. However, there are areas for improvement in the implementation of the Learning Organization at SMPN 1 Mantup, such as enhancing existing Learning Organization programs and creating and implementing key performance indicators for each program and activity.   Abstrak Learning organization adalah salah satu strategi dalam mengembangkan dan meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia yang ada pada sebuah organisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana implementasi learning organization yang dilaksanakan pada SMPN 1 Mantup dengan menggunakan teori learning organization yang dikemukakan oleh Senge yang berfokus pada 5 komponen atau subfokus learning organization yaitu: (1) Personal mastery, (2) system thinking, (3) mental models, (4) shared vision, (5) team learning. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokmentasi. Wawancara dilakukan kepada kepala sekolah, guru, serta anggota tata usaha yang ada pada SMPN 1 Mantup. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan SMPN 1 Mantup telah melaksankan strategi learning organization dengan cukup baik hal ini terlihat dari terlaksananya dengan baik kelima komponen atau sub-fokus dari learning organization yang ditandai dengan terpenuhinya seluruh indikator yang ada pada kelima komponen tersebut melalui program, kegiatan, serta aktivitas individu yang ada didalamnya.

Abstract

Banks play a prominent role in the economy, requiring continuous improvement in their services. Bank BRI is currently experiencing a considerable growth in the number of customers, as proven by the 67% increase in profit only from 2021 to 2022. Such expansion lengthens the waiting line in the service offices. The objective of this research is to identify the optimization of customer service at the Sumberejo unit of Bank BRI using the queueing theory. The data was harvested from a five-day observation on the customers’ time of arrival and service duration during peak and off-peak hours. The results indicate that the queueing model is (M/M/s):(FCFS/∞/∞) with two optimal servers and the server utility rate of 42.496%. Further, this study also finds that server addition and reduction are not recommended as they will only lower the optimization of the service and increase the queueing total cost.   Abstrak Bank memainkan peran penting dalam sektor perekonomian di sehingga perbaikan akan layanan yang diberikan harus terus dilakukan. Bank BRI sebagai terus mengalami peningkatan jumlah nasabah yang cukup besar dibuktikan dengan peningkatan profit perusahaan dari 2021 ke 2022 sebesar 67%. Meningkatnya jumlah nasabah menyebabkan antrean pada kantor pelayanan juga semakin banyak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui optimalisasi layanan customer service pada Bank BRI Kantor Unit Sumberejo dengan menggunakan teori antrean. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan melakukan observasi terhadap waktu kedatangan dan waktu pelayanan nasabah selama 5 hari pada periode sibuk dan periode senggang.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model antrean berbentuk (M/M/2) :(FCFS/∞/∞) dengan jumlah server optimal sebanyak 2 server dengan tingkat utilitas server 42,496%. Pengurangan atau penambahan jumlah server tidak disarankan karena akan membuat pelayanan menjadi tidak optimal dan total biaya antrean menjadi lebih tinggi.

Abstract

Along with technological advancement, many sellers in Indonesia have shifted to use digital platform like e-commerce, which is creating potential ecosystem for various e-commerce applications to grow and face intense competition in facilitating direct transactions between consumers (C2C). This study aims to confirm the mobile service quality dimensions of e-commerce on mobile applications. The study adopts a quantitative approach with sellers who are use of popular C2C mobile applications in Indonesia, such as Tokopedia, Shopee, Bukalapak, and TikTok Shop as the population. Sample selection using purposive technique resulted in a sample size of 313 respondents. Test­ing was conducted using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) to determine the proposed dimensions of e-commerce mobile application service quality from previous research. The results of the study confirm six factors of mobile service quality in e-commerce applications: Application Design, Reliability, Responsiveness, Trust, Efficiency, and System Availability. Testing with the modified model provides higher fit criteria. ANOVA was used to compare components in each dimension. E-commerce service providers can use the re­sult to improve service quality. These improvements involve refining the ap­plication interface, ensuring reliability, responsiveness, security, efficiency, and system availability, aiming to boost user satisfaction, foster continued app usage, and fortify the service provider's reputation.

Abstract

Green business training is very important to implement, considering the challenges posed by the demographic bonus in Indonesia, which is dominated by a young, productive-age population but faces high unemployment rates and limited job opportunities. Green business, which combines business objectives with environmental sustainability, is seen as an opportunity that not only provides economic benefits but also enhances business value through environmentally friendly approaches. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide green business training to increase the motivation and interest in entrepreneurship among the younger generation, particularly in creating environmentally based business opportunities. The method used in this community service consisted of three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The training was conducted through theoretical and practical sessions involving youth participants from Karang Taruna, Mojolangu Village, Malang City. The training materials included ornamental plant cultivation, marketing through social media, and environmentally friendly product packaging techniques. The results of the community service showed a significant increase in participant motivation after attending the training. In addition, participants demonstrated a better understanding of the green business concept, as well as strong enthusiasm in applying this knowledge to start or develop environmentally based businesses. This training has proven effective in fostering interest in green business-based entrepreneurship among the younger generation, while also strengthening awareness of the importance of environmental conservation in the business world. Furthermore, the evaluation of results was conducted using a quantitative approach with the WarpPLS 8.0 analysis tool, based on data from 30 participants. Statistical tests showed that the training played a significant role as a direct predictor of entrepreneurial interest but did not act as a moderating variable between motivation and entrepreneurial interest. This indicates that while training directly increases participants' entrepreneurial interest, it does not strengthen the relationship between initial motivation and their interest in entrepreneurship. Pelatihan green business menjadi sangat penting untuk dilaksanakan mengingat tantangan bonus demografi di Indonesia, yang didominasi oleh generasi muda usia produktif namun dihadapkan pada tingginya angka pengangguran dan terbatasnya lapangan pekerjaan. Green business, yang menggabungkan tujuan bisnis dengan keberlanjutan lingkungan, dipandang sebagai peluang usaha yang tidak hanya memberikan keuntungan ekonomi, tetapi juga meningkatkan nilai usaha melalui pendekatan ramah lingkungan. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberikan pelatihan green business guna meningkatkan motivasi dan minat wirausaha generasi muda, terutama dalam menciptakan peluang usaha berbasis lingkungan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini terdiri dari tiga tahapan: persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Pelatihan dilakukan melalui sesi teori dan praktik yang melibatkan peserta dari pemuda Karang Taruna Kelurahan Mojolangu, Kota Malang. Materi pelatihan meliputi budidaya tanaman hias, pemasaran melalui media sosial, dan teknik pengemasan produk yang ramah lingkungan. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dalam motivasi peserta setelah mengikuti pelatihan. Selain itu, peserta juga menunjukkan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang konsep green business, serta antusiasme yang tinggi dalam memanfaatkan pengetahuan ini untuk memulai atau mengembangkan usaha berbasis lingkungan. Pelatihan ini terbukti efektif sebagai upaya untuk menumbuhkan minat wirausaha berbasis green business di kalangan generasi muda, sekaligus memperkuat kesadaran akan pentingnya pelestarian lingkungan dalam dunia usaha. Berikutnya juga dilakukan evaluasi hasil dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif menggunakan alat analisis WarpPLS 8.0, berdasarkan data dari 30 peserta. Dari uji statistik, ditemukan bahwa pelatihan berperan signifikan sebagai prediktor langsung terhadap minat wirausaha, namun tidak berfungsi sebagai moderasi antara motivasi dan minat wirausaha. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa meskipun pelatihan secara langsung meningkatkan minat wirausaha peserta, itu tidak memperkuat hubungan antara motivasi awal dan minat mereka untuk berwirausaha.
