Abstract

This study examines the use of ChatGPT as a translation-support tool for Arabic texts among seventh-semester students of the Arabic Language Education Program at UIN Raden Intan Lampung. The research is motivated by the increasing integration of artificial intelligence in language learning and the growing tendency of students to rely on AI-based translation tools when dealing with academic Arabic texts. This study aims to (1) describe how ChatGPT is utilized in the translation process, (2) analyze the semantic quality of ChatGPT’s translation output by comparing it with the original meaning of selected mahfudzat texts “ الشَّرَفُ بِالْأَدَبِ”, and identify the benefits and challenges of its use. Employing a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observations, and documentation, and were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The findings reveal that ChatGPT is used intensively to translate course materials, articles, qirā’ah texts, and examination items, as well as to understand vocabulary and sentence structure. The comparison of translation results indicates that ChatGPT generally produces accurate and readable outputs, although some segments include interpretative additions and structural inconsistencies that require manual verification. This study concludes that ChatGPT is effective as an initial comprehension tool in translation learning, yet it cannot replace the linguistic competence of human translators, particularly in academic and religious texts that demand contextual precision. These findings highlight the importance of AI literacy and critical verification skills in ensuring responsible and appropriate use of ChatGPT in translation practice.

Abstract

The social phenomenon within contemporary Muslim communities indicates that many families still neglect children’s fundamental rights, including education, financial support, and emotional care. This condition reflects a gap between the ideal values of Islamic teachings and their practical implementation in family life. This study aims to critically examine the interrelation between zakat fitrah (alms of purification), lineage (nasab), and the fulfillment of children’s rights from the perspective of Islamic Religious Education. Employing a qualitative approach with a library research design, this study applies content analysis to primary sources such as the Qur’an, Hadith, classical works of tafsir and fiqh, as well as secondary data from academic books, journals, and previous studies. The findings reveal that zakat fitrah possesses profound spiritual and social dimensions. It functions not only as an act of ritual purification but also as an instrument of social education that cultivates justice, empathy, and collective responsibility. Meanwhile, the concept of nasab serves as a moral and educational foundation within the family, emphasizing parental responsibility to fulfill children’s rights to love, protection, and moral guidance. The lack of understanding of these two concepts has weakened the family’s role as a moral and spiritual educational institution. Therefore, integrating the values of zakat fitrah and nasab into Islamic Religious Education is essential for developing a family-based educational paradigm grounded in raḥmah (compassion), ‘adl (justice), and amānah (responsibility).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze strategies for teaching aqeedah to children in Islamic schools by emphasizing the Nabawiyyah model as a pedagogical foundation for faith and spiritual formation. The main question addressed concerns how a prophetic-based approach can be integrated into aqeedah learning to move beyond cognitive domains toward affective and practical dimensions. Conceptually, this study positions itself as a framework proposing an aqeedah learning approach rooted in the Prophet’s exemplary model (uswah hasanah). The research employed a critical literature review of classical Islamic education sources, contemporary studies, and Islamic curriculum documents. Content analysis was applied to identify strategic elements of prophetic learning, including role modeling, value internalization, and habituation aligned with children’s psychological development. The findings reveal that Nabawiyyah-based strategies effectively strengthen students’ faith and morality through modeling, prophetic narratives, and religious habituation. The study concludes that this approach provides a holistic conceptual framework for aqeedah education in madrasahs and offers a pedagogical response to the moral crisis of the digital era.

Abstract

21st century learning requires teachers to be able to involve communication and collaboration skills as well as the use of information technology in learning that can be arranged in a framework in the form of TPACK. There are 7 components that need to be known in TPACK, namely Technological Knowledge, Pedagogical Knowledge, Content Knowledge, Technological Pedagogical Knowledge, Technological Content Knowledge, Pedagogical Content Knowledge, and Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge. The purpose of this article is to describe 1) the concept of TPACK, and 2) the implementation of TPACK in learning arabic. The results of this study were 1) TPACK is a combination of three essential elements in learning a technology (technological knowledge) that can be used to facilitate the delivery of teaching materials, pedagogical (pedagogical knowledge) that includes methods and learning model that will be applied, and content (content knowledge) which contains learning materials, where the three elements can be arranged in a learning design. 2) Implementation of TPACK in Learning arabic is to combine all components of TPACK in the learning that will be implemented.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis integrasi neurosains melalui model Brain-Based Learning (BBL) dalam pembelajaran imla’ serta dampaknya terhadap kemampuan kognitif dan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas IX di MTs Ulul Albab Lampung. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif fenomenologi dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara semi-terstruktur, dan dokumentasi. Analisis penelitian didasarkan pada teori Brain-Based Learning dari Caine & Caine yang menekankan prinsip relaxed alertness, orchestrated immersion, dan active processing, serta teori Erik Jensen tentang pentingnya stimulasi multisensori, emosi positif, dan pengenalan pola dalam proses belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan BBL dilakukan melalui suasana belajar yang rileks dan menyenangkan, penggunaan aktivitas auditori, visual, dan kinestetik, pengulangan bermakna, serta refleksi terhadap kesalahan penulisan. Pendekatan ini terbukti meningkatkan konsentrasi, daya ingat, dan pemahaman peserta didik terhadap kaidah imla’, terutama dalam membedakan hamzah washal dan hamzah qath’i. Sebelum penerapan BBL, nilai imla’ peserta didik berada pada kisaran 68–72 dengan tingkat ketuntasan sekitar 55–60%. Setelah penerapan BBL, kesalahan penulisan berkurang, ketepatan penggunaan hamzah meningkat, dan nilai peserta didik menjadi lebih baik dibandingkan pembelajaran konvensional. Temuan penelitian menegaskan bahwa integrasi neurosains melalui BBL tidak hanya meningkatkan hasil belajar imla’, tetapi juga membantu peserta didik memahami proses menulis bahasa Arab sesuai dengan cara kerja otak. Oleh karena itu, guru Bahasa Arab disarankan menerapkan pembelajaran multisensori dan reflektif, khususnya pada materi hamzah washal dan hamzah qath’i.

Abstract

Pembelajaran bahasa Arab di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, khususnya pada keterampilan berbicara (maharah kalam), masih terdapat tantangan dalam mengembangkan kemampuan siswa untuk menggunakan ungkapan sederhana secara spontan dan kontekstual. Permasalahan yang ditemukan di kelas V MIN 6 Bandar Lampung menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa hanya mampu menirukan dialog dari buku tanpa mampu mengembangkan kalimat sendiri dalam situasi komunikasi sederhana. Kondisi tersebut berdampak pada rendahnya keberanian siswa dalam merespon pertanyaan lisan serta kesulitan menyusun kalimat secara mandiri. Hasil observasi awal menunjukkan bahwa dari 33 siswa, sebanyak 23 siswa (69,7%) belum mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) 77, sedangkan hanya 10 siswa (30,3%) yang dinyatakan tuntas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan strategi Joyful Learning berbasis media Spinning Wheel dalam meningkatkan maharah kalam siswa. Penelitian menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) melalui dua siklus yang meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan berbicara siswa secara bertahap. Nilai rata-rata siswa meningkat dari 75,18 pada tahap pra-tindakan menjadi 79,84 pada siklus I, dan meningkat kembali menjadi 90,75 pada siklus II. Persentase ketuntasan belajar juga meningkat dari 30,3% menjadi 63,6% pada siklus I dan mencapai 81,8% pada siklus II. Dengan demikian, penerapan strategi Joyful Learning berbasis media Spinning Wheel terbukti mampu meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara bahasa Arab siswa serta menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif, komunikatif, dan bermakna pada jenjang Madrasah Ibtidaiyah.
