Abstract

In the modern work environment, perceived organizational support is an important factor in increasing work engagement and productivity. Organizations that provide emotional, professional, and structural support to employees tend to have a more motivated, loyal, and productive workforce. However, social workers, especially in the Malang City Social Service, often experience minimal organizational support, resulting in work stress, burnout, and high employee turnover. Most previous studies have used a quantitative approach, while few have examined how organizational support is socially constructed in everyday interactions. This study aims to understand how social workers in the Malang City Social Service construct the meaning of organizational support and how it affects their work engagement. This study uses a qualitative approach with a social phenomenology method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, with informants selected using homogeneous purposive sampling. The findings of the visualization construct confirm that effective organizational support acts as a catalyst in increasing work engagement, strengthening motivation, and improving the performance and productivity of social workers in the public service organization environment. Organizational support is not only an administrative aspect, but also a social phenomenon that is formed through interaction, communication, and work experience. These findings contribute to the social phenomenology literature in organizational management studies, as well as provide recommendations for social organizations to improve the well-being and engagement of social workers.

Abstract

Leadership, organisational culture, and human capital have important roles in every organisation. The purpose of this study is to reveal the relationship between leadership, organizational culture, and human capital in organisations with a bibliometric. The bibliometric method is used to provide a complete picture of the development of research related to a particular topic so that researchers can understand the topic at a macro level. Bibliometric studies help identify macro research gaps (sub-sub topics that have not been researched, emerging topic trends). The researcher focused on bibliometric analysis: co-authorship with the first author unit of analysis and co-occurrence with the keyword unit of analysis. The findings show that organisational culture variables, although a minority, still exist in the last 15 years to be researched further. On the other hand, human capital and leadership with emphasis on leadership style can be associated with other variables, such as competence, entrepreneurship, information-communication technology. This research also has limitations, namely in the literature sources obtained, increasing there are still few researchers who review leadership, organisational culture, and human capital.

Abstract

This study explores the application of Immanuel Kant's Enlightenment philosophy to the development of human capital. The focus is to explore the contribution of concepts such as autonomy, rationality, and freedom of thought to the enhancement of individual capacity and value in organizations. This research uses a qualitative approach with literature analysis and case study methods. Data were collected from various academic and practical sources related to human capital development and Kant's philosophy. The analysis was conducted interpretatively to identify and relate Kantian concepts to human capital management practices. The application of Kantian principles in human capital development encourages employees to think critically, innovate, and act independently. Academic and professional freedom supported by the organization allows individuals to develop their potential to the fullest, which in turn improves organizational performance and creativity. Immanuel Kant's Enlightenment principles have strong relevance in the context of human capital development. Individual autonomy, the use of rationality, and the courage to think freely are key elements that can strengthen and enhance human capital capacity in postmodern organizations. The findings can serve as a basis for human capital development strategies that focus more on individual empowerment and enhancing critical thinking capacity in modern work environments.

Abstract

SMEs are the backbone of the local economy and require contextualized and adaptive leadership and human capital management strategies. This article aims to describe the indigenous values-based leadership model implemented in Aglaia Shoes Cleaning-a shoe-care SME in Malang City-and how it contributes to strengthening human capital. The service activities were carried out through a participatory and educative approach, including soft skills training, structuring work structures, and preparing simple SOPs based on local cultural values such as mutual cooperation, responsibility, and perseverance. The results of the activities show that a leadership approach that integrates indigenous values can create a more collaborative work environment, increase productivity, and foster loyalty and a sense of ownership in the work team. Strengthening human capital does not only occur through increasing technical capacity, but also through instilling local values and work ethics. This model has the potential to be replicated in other MSMEs with similar characteristics to encourage local culture-based business sustainability.
