Abstract

Corruption is a serious issue in Indonesia, with wide-ranging impacts across various sectors. According to data from Transparency International, Indonesia ranks 96th out of 180 of the most corrupt countries. To address this issue, since December 2018, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud), has integrated anti-corruption education into the national curriculum. As a follow-up, the Government of Gorontalo City issued Mayor Regulation Number 37 of 2019 on the Implementation of Anti-Corruption Education, which mandates the implementation of such education at all educational levels. This study aims to (1) Analyze the implementation of Article 6 of Mayor Regulation Number 37 of 2019 at SMP Negeri 4 Gorontalo, and (2) Identify the factors hindering the implementation of the regulation. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method. The findings indicate that the implementation of Article 6 has not been effective. The obstacles identified include: (a) Ineffective communication, particularly in delivering information; (b) Limited resources, especially due to the varying character of the school community, leading to discipline issues; (c) Lack of initiative from policy implementers to seek additional information; and (d) Bureaucratic structures that do not align with Article 6 of the Mayor Regulation, resulting in suboptimal implementation of anti-corruption education policies at SMP Negeri 4 Gorontalo.

Abstract

Research to determine the impact of playing free fire online games on social personality in children in Lahumbo Village, Tilamuta District, Boalemo Regency. This study uses a descriptive research type with a qualitative approach. The location of this research was conducted in Lahumbo Village, Tilamuta District, Boalemo Regency, with data sources obtained from several informants such as village officials, parents, and children in Lahumbo Village. Data collection was carried out using observation, interview and documentation methods. Researchers act as information diggers with the aim of obtaining data sources, both primary and secondary. The results of this study explain that the impact of online games on most children in Lahumbo Village has many negative impacts and minimal positive impacts on the sustainability and social institutions of the community, especially children in Lahumbo Village. As a result, many complaints arise from parents who complain about bad attitudes towards their children, such as often being disobedient, lazy to go to school, often going out of the house and not wanting to help their parents at home. Conditions like this are very common among children, because the impact of online games is very real and has a negative impact on society, even though the existence of online games can also be a positive thing if parents pay attention and supervise them, considering that not only a few gamers are able to achieve success in playing games. then the government's efforts made to prevent the impact of online games on children in this case there are two efforts, namely preventive and repressive efforts. This action is taken to minimize the impact of online games, because the increasing popularity of online games can no longer be denied that the impacts caused are not only positive impacts but also more prominent negative impacts from online games. Therefore, by combining preventive and repressive efforts, the government is trying to create a safer environment for children to interact with online games.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse political education programs and their impact on the level of voter participation in the 2024 General Election in Banggai Regency. Using a qualitative method with a case study approach, data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Primary data was obtained from the General Election Commission, Election Supervisory Agency, political parties, National and Political Unity, and voters in Banggai Regency. Secondary data was obtained from journals, books, and reports on the implementation of the 2024 elections. The results showed that political education programs such as voter education socialisation. The results of this programme have implications for voter participation, which is reflected in the increase in turnout in the 2024 elections to 80.83%, compared to 79.47% in the 2019 elections. Nonetheless, several factors such as voters' limited cognitive, affective and evaluative abilities, as well as limited access to information and economic instability, proved to be obstacles affecting political participation. This study recommends that election administrators improve the effectiveness of political education programmes by actively involving voters in these programmes, in order to encourage more optimal participation.

Abstract

Globalization often brings social changes that lead to a decline in community participation in preserving local wisdom. This study aims to analyze the revitalization process of the Tolak Bala tradition and its contribution to strengthening civic culture, particularly in cultural preservation and identity reinforcement. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method to illustrate social phenomena in their actual context and to uncover the characteristics and meanings of these realities. Data collection was conducted through observations, interviews, and documentation, with informants including traditional leaders, community figures, and residents from two villages in Buol Regency. Data analysis techniques involved data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that strengthening civic culture through the Tolak Bala tradition is associated with several key values: cultural values that reinforce local identity, social values that enhance solidarity among residents, religious values that serve as a means of seeking divine protection, and intellectual values that encourage critical reflection on human relationships with nature and spiritual entities. The revitalization of this tradition has been carried out through several initiatives, including (1) cultural education and outreach, (2) the development of cultural festivals, (3) support from the government and relevant institutions, (4) involvement of younger generations, and (5) the use of social media to expand the reach of information and cultural promotion. This study is limited to the context of Buol Regency, so its findings may not be generalizable to other regions with different social characteristics and traditions. Further research is needed to explore the effectiveness of this revitalization process in a broader context.

Abstract

Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh perilaku menyimpang siswa yang dipicu oleh pola pergaulan dan lingkungan siswa dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Pergaulan yang kurang tepat saat ini berpengaruh terhadap perkembangan pribadi siswa. perilaku menyimpang siswa yang dipicu oleh pola pergaulan dan lingkungan siswa dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Pergaulan yang kurang tepat saat ini berpengaruh terhadap perkembangan pribadi siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini guna mengetahui dan menganalisis bagaimana dampak pergaulan terhadap perilaku menyimpang siswa di sekolah SMP Negeri 2 bokat serta bentuk upaya yang telah dilakukan pihak sekolah dalam mengatasi perilaku menyimpang siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif karena bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak pergaulan terhadap perilaku menyimpang siswa di SMP Negeri 2 Bokat. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu hasil wawancara yang akan dilaksanakan oleh peneliti terhadap Informan atau Narasumber dari Sekolah SMP Negeri 2 Bokat. Berdasarkan Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa pergaulan memberikan dampak terhadap perilaku menyimpang siswa di SMP Negeri 2 Bokat. Sebagaimana ditemukan bahwa banyak siswa yang melakukan perilaku menyimpang disekolah sebagian besar adalah akibat dari pergaulan yang mereka jalani, baik dirumah ataupun pada lingkungan masyarakat. Kondisi siswa di SMP Negeri 2 Bokat kerap kali melakukan pembulian, bolos dan kenakalan hingga ada yang merusak fasilitas sekolah. Hal ini sebagian besar diakibatkan oleh apa yang mereka dapatkan dari pergaulan mereka. Dalam hal upaya yang telah dilaksanakan oleh pihak sekolah dalam mengtasi perilaku menyimpang siswa, di SMP Negeri 2 Bokat, ditemukan bahwa upaya yang telah dilaksanakan oleh pihak sekolah meliputi beberapa upaya pelaksnaannya, diantaranya melalui tata tertib, proses pembelajaran dikelas dan juga komunikasi dengan pihak orang tua dan pemberian sanksi sebagai efek jera kepada siswa.   The background of this research is deviant behavior of students triggered by social patterns and the environment of students in everyday life. The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the impact of social interactions on deviant behavior of students at SMP Negeri 2 Bokat and the forms of efforts that have been made by the school in overcoming deviant behavior of students. This study uses a qualitative approach because it aims to determine the impact of social interactions on deviant behavior of students at SMP Negeri 2 Bokat. The data source in this study is the results of interviews that will be conducted by researchers with Informants or Resource Persons from SMP Negeri 2 Bokat. Based on the results of the study, it was found that socializing has an impact on deviant behavior of students at SMP Negeri 2 Bokat. As found that many students who engage in deviant behavior at school are mostly the result of the socializing they do, both at home and in the community. The condition of students at SMP Negeri 2 Bokat often bullies, skips school and misbehaves to the point that some damage school facilities. This is mostly caused by what they get from their socializing. In terms of efforts that have been implemented by the school in overcoming deviant behavior of students, at SMP Negeri 2 Bokat, it was found that the efforts that have been implemented by the school include several implementation efforts, including through regulations, learning processes in class and also communication with parents and giving sanctions as a deterrent effect to students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how effectively the village infrastructure development program was implemented in Tayadun Village, Bokat Sub-district, Buol District. This research uses a qualitative research type. The author used indicators of goal achievement, integration, and adaptation to assess indicators of development effectiveness. The research collected data through interviews, literature study, and observation. Data analysis was conducted by reducing data, presenting data, and making conclusions. The results showed that the effectiveness of the implementation of the Tayadun Village infrastructure development program was quite effective, went well although there were still obstacles faced by the village government, and was carried out on time.

Abstract

This field activity focuses on the utilization of cow dung waste as a social and environmental solution through the production of solid organic fertilizers. Held on April 16, 2025 at the Mootoduwo agricultural and Rural Self-Help Training Center (P4S) in Huluduotamo Village, this activity involved all members of Class A of the S1 agribusiness Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Gorontalo State University and lecturers for citizenship courses. The stages of activities include the preparation and collection of materials (cow dung, rice bran, granulated sugar, EmA11), grinding cow dung using special machines, mixing and composting of materials , regular monitoring and stirring every 3-4 days, and finally, ripening and packaging of fertilizers. The method used is the delivery of material directly in the field, practicum production of organic fertilizers, and group discussions. The results showed success in producing solid organic fertilizer of good quality, characterized by dark brownish color, brittle texture, and no pungent odor after fermentation. The utilization of this waste not only contributes to improving the quality of the environment and soil fertility, but also provides a positive social and economic impact for rural communities through job creation and increased income in line with civic values.

Abstract

This community service project aims to examine the role of strengthening nationalism in preventing radicalism among students at SMK Negeri 1 Gorontalo. The main focus is on the internalization of national values through a comprehensive educational approach. The methods used include conducting workshops, seminars, developing e-learning modules, and collaborative projects between faculty and students of Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. The results of the study show a significant increase in students' understanding, attitudes, and enthusiasm towards national values. Furthermore, students demonstrated improved ability to identify and counter radical ideologies that threaten national integration. However, the study also identified a major challenge: the gap between the national values taught in school and the social realities faced by students outside the formal educational environment. Therefore, a sustainable approach is needed, one that not only focuses on knowledge transfer but also integrates critical literacy and multi-stakeholder collaboration, including families, communities, and digital institutions. In conclusion, strengthening nationalism through education has proven to be an effective strategy in building students' ideological resilience against radicalism.ABSTRAKPengabdian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peran penguatan nasionalisme dalam upaya pencegahan radikalisme di kalangan pelajar SMK Negeri 1 Gorontalo. Fokus utama diarahkan pada internalisasi nilai-nilai kebangsaan melalui pendekatan pendidikan yang utuh. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pelaksanaan workshop, seminar, pengembangan modul e-learning, serta proyek kolaboratif antara dosen dan mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dalam hal pemahaman, sikap, dan antusiasme siswa terhadap nilai-nilai nasionalisme. Selain itu, siswa juga menunjukkan kemampuan yang lebih baik dalam mengidentifikasi serta menangkal paham-paham radikal yang mengancam integrasi Nasional. Meski demikian, penelitian ini juga menemukan tantangan utama berupa kesenjangan antara nilai-nilai nasionalisme yang diajarkan di sekolah dan realitas sosial yang dihadapi siswa di luar lingkungan pendidikan formal. Dengan demikian, dibutuhkan pendekatan berkelanjutan yang tidak hanya berbasis pada transfer pengetahuan, tetapi juga mengintegrasikan literasi kritis dan kolaborasi multiaktor, termasuk keluarga, masyarakat, dan institusi digital. Kesimpulannya, penguatan nasionalisme berbasis pendidikan terbukti menjadi strategi yang efektif dalam membentuk ketahanan ideologis pelajar terhadap radikalisme.

Abstract

Inclusive education is a vital approach to ensuring equitable access to learning for all students, including children with special needs (ABK). Despite increasing attention to inclusive policies in Indonesia, their implementation at the local level remains varied and often fragmented. Existing studies have not sufficiently explored the operational challenges of the RAIS (Child-Friendly, Inclusive, and Healthy) model, particularly in rural or underserved areas. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the RAIS inclusive education policy for children with special needs at the State Junior High School level in Bulango Ulu District. Using a descriptive qualitative method, data were gathered through interviews with key stakeholders—such as the Education Office, school principals, and supervisors—and supported by secondary documentation. The results reveal suboptimal implementation across planning, execution, and supervision stages. Planning suffers from inadequate technical and financial support; execution is hindered by the lack of trained and accompanying teachers; and supervision remains limited to administrative review. The study offers novelty by highlighting the RAIS model’s current status as a conceptual framework without concrete cross-agency operationalization. The findings imply the need for intersectoral synergy—particularly among the Education, Health, and Child Protection Offices—to ensure RAIS becomes a functional and comprehensive policy for inclusive, equitable education. Highlights: RAIS is still conceptual and lacks operational guidelines. Teacher readiness and support are major implementation gaps. Cross-agency coordination is essential for effective inclusion. Abstract

Gambling is a societal issue that negatively affects morality, the economy, and family resilience. This practice can lead to financial loss, domestic violence, and the deterioration of social functions within society. Although gambling is regulated under criminal law in Indonesia, such as Article 303 of the Indonesian Criminal Code and Law No. 7 of 1974, gambling cases continue to rise, including in Gorontalo. This study aims to analyze the legal impact of gambling as a criminal act and how law enforcement is implemented to maintain family resilience. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach conducted at the Polres (Kepolisian Resor or Precinct Police Station) of Gorontalo City to examine the legal impact of gambling crimes on family resilience. The findings show that gambling crimes in Gorontalo City, particularly lottery gambling, have fluctuated between 2020 and 2024, with a significant increase in 2023. Gambling has serious impacts on family resilience, causing economic loss, domestic conflict, social stigma, and psychological disorders, especially among children. The main contributing factors include economic pressure, environmental influence, weak supervision, and suboptimal law enforcement. Perpetrators who are repeat offenders, organizers, or who involve others are subject to heavier penalties. The legal impact is not only experienced by the perpetrators but also undermines family stability and causes public concern. Gambling crimes in Gorontalo City have wide- reaching effects, legally disadvantaging the perpetrators and destroying family resilience economically, socially, and psychologically. Key factors such as economic pressure, environmental influence, and weak law enforcement contribute to gambling behavior. As a result, offenders' families experience conflict, stigma, and even household breakdowns. These social impacts create a ripple effect that disrupts community stability.
