Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi telah membawa perubahan signifikan dalam berbagai sektor, termasuk sektor pemerintahan. Kantor Sekretariat DPRD Kota Medan sebagai lembaga pemerintahan dituntut untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas kerja, salah satunya dalam pengelolaan arsip surat. Selama ini proses pengarsipan surat masih dilakukan secara manual, yang menyebabkan kesulitan dalam pencarian dan pengelolaan surat masuk dan keluar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan sebuah sistem aplikasi arsip surat berbasis web guna mempermudah proses pengarsipan. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan pendekatan waterfall. Aplikasi ini dibangun menggunakan bahasa pemrograman web dengan database MySQL dan dijalankan pada server lokal XAMPP. Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa sistem aplikasi yang dapat mengelola data surat secara digital, menyediakan fitur pencarian, pengarsipan, pengubahan, penghapusan, serta pencetakan data surat, yang seluruhnya mendukung peningkatan kinerja pengarsipan surat di Kantor Sekretariat DPRD Kota Medan.

Abstract

Badan Riset dan Inovasi Daerah (BRIDA) Kota Medan berperan penting dalam memfasilitasi pengembangan sumber daya manusia melalui berbagai layanan akademik, termasuk bimbingan dan konsultasi bagi mahasiswa serta urusan akademik lainnya. Namun, pencatatan kehadiran dalam layanan-layanan ini seringkali belum optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengembangkan sebuah sistem absensi berbasis web yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi dan akuntabilitas manajemen layanan bimbingan, konsultasi, dan urusan akademik mahasiswa di BRIDA Medan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan sistem (Research and Development) dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Tahapan penelitian meliputi analisis kebutuhan pengguna (staf BRIDA dan mahasiswa), perancangan sistem, implementasi, dan pengujian usabilitas. Sistem yang dikembangkan diharapkan mampu menyediakan fitur pencatatan kehadiran yang mudah diakses, pelaporan yang cepat, dan pengelolaan data yang terstruktur. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam mengoptimalkan pengelolaan layanan akademik di BRIDA Medan, khususnya yang berkaitan dengan interaksi dengan mahasiswa dalam berbagai urusan akademik mereka, termasuk yang mungkin memanfaatkan fasilitas pojok literasi sebagai sumber informasi. Implementasi sistem ini diharapkan dapat mempermudah proses bimbingan dan konsultasi, meningkatkan efisiensi administrasi urusan akademik mahasiswa di Kota Medan, serta memberikan data yang akurat untuk evaluasi dan pengembangan layanan di BRIDA.

Abstract

Transformasi digital dalam pendayagunaan informasi mendorong institusi pendidikan dan penelitian untuk menerapkan teknologi berbasis web, baik dalam pengelolaan perpustakaan. Penelitian ini diarahkan untuk rancang bangun sistem informasi perpustakaan digital berbasis web yang secara efektif mengelola data koleksi buku, hasil penelitian, layanan bimbingan, serta catatan perkembangan mahasiswa secara terintegrasi untuk Perpustakaan BRIDA Kota Medan. Metodologi yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini meliputi studi literatur untuk memperoleh landasan teori dan referensi sistem serupa, observasi terhadap proses manual yang berjalan di perpustakaan, serta pendekatan prototyping dalam pengembangan sistem guna memungkinkan umpan balik langsung dari pengguna terhadap rancangan antarmuka dan fitur. Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa prototipe sistem informasi perpustakaan digital yang mendukung pengelolaan koleksi secara efisien, mempermudah akses informasi bagi pengguna, serta menyediakan fitur pencatatan perkembangan mahasiswa secara sistematis. Dengan adanya sistem ini, diharapkan perpustakaan dapat bertransformasi menjadi pusat informasi digital yang mendukung kebutuhan akademik dan penelitian secara optimal.

Abstract

The Mail Delivery Scheduling Monitoring System at the Medan Mayor's Office BAPPEDA is a study on the implementation of an information technology system to increase efficiency in the letter delivery process at the Regional Development Planning Agency (BAPPEDA) at the Medan Mayor's Office. This research aims to understand how the use of a mail delivery scheduling monitoring system can optimize time management, increase accuracy, and improve transparency in mail handling in government environments. This study uses a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews and direct observation as data collection methods. The research results show that before the implementation of the mail delivery scheduling monitoring system, the mail delivery process at BAPPEDA tended to be unstructured, time consuming, and prone to errors. However, after the adoption of this system, there was a significant improvement in time management and operational efficiency. System users report improvements in mail tracking, on-time delivery, and real-time monitoring of delivery status. However, several challenges were also identified during system implementation, including resistance to change from some staff, lack of adequate training, and the need for routine maintenance of the system. Thus, this research concludes that although the mail delivery scheduling monitoring system has brought many benefits to BAPPEDA of the Medan Mayor's Office, continued efforts are needed to ensure long-term success and full acceptance by all staff.

Abstract

Humans as social beings, require communication and interaction. Communication technology found in smartphones plays a crucial role in accelerating access to social media. However, traditional social media often only provides written and asynchronous communication, which can reduce the motivation to participate. This research aims to develop a mobile application that integrates video call and random chat features using WebRTC and Firebase technology. The research method includes developing the application using React Native as the framework, Firebase for real-time database management and authentication, and WebRTC for handling real-time video communication. The research results show that the developed application can provide optimal performance in terms of latency and video call quality, as well as functional login, registration, chat, and video call features. This application opens the door to more direct, interactive, and natural human engagement by offering a more spontaneous and unpredictable meeting experience. The conclusion of this research is that integrating WebRTC and Firebase in the development of video call and random chat applications can provide an efficient and enjoyable communication experience for users.Application

Abstract

This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of Android-based hijaiyah letter learning mobile applications as an interactive learning medium for beginners. The background of the research is based on the challenges in learning hijaiyah letters conventionally and the potential for the use of mobile technology to increase learning effectiveness. The research method uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. System design uses an object-oriented approach with Unified Modeling Language (UML) to ensure a structured application architecture. The application development is carried out using Android Studio with the Kotlin programming language and implements the concept of M-Learning (Mobile Learning) by integrating interactive features such as audio pronunciation, letter writing animations, and mini games for learning evaluation. The test involved 150 respondents consisting of children aged 5-12 years and TPQ/TPA teachers. The results of the study showed a significant success rate with an increase in the ability to recognize hijaiyah letters by 85% compared to conventional methods. The user satisfaction level reaches 92%, with the aspects of ease of use and interactivity receiving the highest rating. This application also succeeded in increasing students' interest in learning by up to 78% based on observations and feedback from teachers. In conclusion, the mobile application for learning hijaiyah letters developed has proven to be effective as an alternative learning medium and a complement to conventional methods in recognizing hijaiyah letters.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi yang sangat pesat telah memberikan dampak signifikan terhadap berbagai sektor, termasuk dalam sektor bisnis, dalam memanfaatkan sistem informasi untuk membantu kinerja operasional. Namun, masih terdapat bisnis ritel skala mikro yang dalam operasionalnya menggunakan metode konvensional, khususnya dalam pengelolaan inventaris barang. Toko Plastik Asa Baru merupakan salah satu bisnis ritel yang masih menghadapi kondisi tersebut, di mana proses pengelolaan inventaris barang masih dilakukan secara manual. Permasalahan yang terjadi antara lain lambatnya proses rekapitulasi data transaksi, tingginya risiko kesalahan pencatatan, serta kesulitan dalam memantau stok barang secara real-time. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem informasi inventaris barang berbasis website menggunakan metode prototype sebagai solusi terhadap permasalahan tersebut. Metode prototype memungkinkan pengembangan sistem dilakukan secara iteratif dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna. Sistem dikembangkan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dengan framework Laravel. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian menggunakan metode blackbox testing, seluruh fungsi utama sistem seperti pengelolaan data barang, pencatatan transaksi barang masuk dan keluar, serta penyajian laporan rekapitulasi data transaksi dapat berjalan dengan baik sesuai dengan yang diharapkan. Selain itu, berdasarkan hasil evaluasi dan umpan balik dari pengguna, sistem yang dikembangkan dinilai mampu mempercepat proses rekapitulasi data transaksi, mengurangi risiko kesalahan pencatatan, serta mempermudah pemantauan stok barang secara real-time. Dengan demikian, sistem informasi inventaris barang berbasis website pada Toko Plastik Asa Baru yang dikembangkan dapat menjadi solusi yang efektif dalam meningkatkan efisiensi dan akurasi dalam pengelolaan inventaris pada bisnis ritel skala mikro.

Abstract

The increasing number of recipients of the Indonesia Smart Program (Program Indonesia Pintar - PIP) demands a more effective and efficient data management system. At PSP Center, conventional methods such as spreadsheets are still primarily used for recording and reporting, which may cause delays in information, input errors, and a lack of in-depth data visualization. This study aims to design and develop a Business Intelligence (BI) dashboard capable of integrating PIP recipient data from various sources and presenting it in an interactive and informative visual format. By applying the Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) process, this system is expected to improve analysis efficiency, support data-driven decision making, and strengthen transparency and accountability in the implementation of the PIP program at PSP Center.

Abstract

This research developed an Android-based literacy education game application aimed at elementary school students. With the increasing need for good literacy skills among children, this app is designed to make the process of learning to read and write more interesting and interactive.The app includes a variety of features, such as word games, puzzles, and quizzes designed to improve reading skills and understand text. Each game is designed with a pedagogical approach that is in accordance with the elementary school curriculum, so that it can support learning in the classroom. The trial was carried out in several elementary schools involving 100 students. The results of the evaluation showed that the use of this application increased students' interest and motivation in learning literacy. The average literacy skill score of students increased by 30% after using the app for 4 weeks. From this study, it is concluded that Android-based literacy education game applications are effective in improving the literacy skills of elementary school students. Recommendations for further development include adding content and interactive features to expand the student learning experience.

Abstract

Aplikasi e-Tilang berfungsi untuk mengelola dan memproses data perkara lalu lintas/tilang yang diputus pengadilan secara elektronik. Aplikasi ini dirancang berbasis web yang dapat diakses secara online dengan tujuan mempermudah masyarakat untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai denda tilang, pembayaran secara online, dan jadwal pengambilan barang bukti yang disita. Namun, meskipun aplikasi ini telah tersedia, masih banyak masyarakat yang memilih untuk mencari informasi dan membayar denda tilang secara langsung di loket pembayaran. Hal ini menyebabkan antrian panjang dan waktu tunggu yang lama, yang seharusnya dapat dihindari dengan memanfaatkan aplikasi yang telah disediakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur persepsi masyarakat terhadap kemudahan penggunaan (Perceived Ease of Use) dan manfaat aplikasi (Perceived Usefulness). Metode yang digunakan adalah survei dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada 63 responden yang datang ke Kantor Kejaksaan Negeri Gayo Lues. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan teknik deskriptif dengan skala Likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas responden (lebih dari 75%) setuju bahwa aplikasi e-Tilang bermanfaat, mudah digunakan, dan dapat membantu menghemat waktu. Pengujian validitas dan reliabilitas menunjukkan hasil yang sangat tinggi, dengan tingkat penerimaan masyarakat yang signifikan terhadap penggunaan aplikasi. Kesimpulannya, aplikasi e-Tilang diterima dengan baik oleh masyarakat Gayo Lues, dan disarankan untuk melakukan sosialisasi lebih lanjut untuk meningkatkan penggunaan aplikasi.Kata Kunci—Aplikasi e-tilang, Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), Perilaku Pengguna, Pelayanan Publik ABSTRACTThe e-Tilang application functions to manage and process traffic case data/tickets decided by the court electronically. This application is designed to be web-based and can be accessed online with the aim of making it easier for the public to obtain information about traffic ticket fines, online payments, and schedules for collecting confiscated evidence. However, even though this application is available, many people still choose to search for information and pay traffic ticket fines directly at the payment counter. This causes long queues and long waiting times, which should be avoided by utilizing the application that has been provided. This study aims to measure public perceptions of ease of use (Perceived Ease of Use) and the benefits of the application (Perceived Usefulness). The method used is a survey by distributing questionnaires to 63 respondents who came to the Gayo Lues District Attorney's Office. The analysis was carried out using descriptive techniques with a Likert scale. The results showed that the majority of respondents (more than 75%) agreed that the e-Tilang application was useful, easy to use, and could help save time. Validity and reliability tests showed very high results, with a significant level of public acceptance of the use of the application. In conclusion, the e-Tilang application was well received by the Gayo Lues community, and it is recommended to conduct further socialization to increase the use of the application. Keywords—E-ticket application, Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), User Behavior, Public Service
