Abstract

This research is motivated by the motivation of the Minangkabau Perkampungan Islamic Boarding School in raising the image of the pesantren in this progressive era. This effort has become a pesantren strategy in balancing the busyness of students in the pesantren by developing existing resources. Thus, students are equipped with skills and expertise that are very useful for their future. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with the research subject being the Leaders of Islamic Boarding Schools and the ranks who have contributed to developing progressive santri resources. The results of this research include: first, Islamic boarding schools instill three pillars of education which include: the application of adab, the application of tahfidz and the application of life skills. Second, Islamic boarding schools develop existing resources so that they educate students in recognizing businesses that have a good impact on the future, especially those that provide results and contribute to living life later.

Abstract

The phenomenon of the number of LGBT cases that appear among teenagers motivates this research. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to find out how students understand about LGBT. This research is a quantitative research using a quantitative approach. Students from class X Madrasah Aliyah in the city of Padang were the subject of this study. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with criteria 1) students who did not live with their parents, and 2) students who had more friends of the same sex than those of different genders. The instrument used is a questionnaire on students’ understanding of LGBT and the Likert model scale. The data processing of this research used statistical fit analysis through the Rasch Model application and the t-test using the SPSS application. The results of the study show 1) The instruments used to measure students’ understanding of LGBT have good quality to be used in revealing students’ understanding of LGBT; 2) overall, students’ understanding of LGBT is in the pretty good category and a few students understand LGBT, which is in the low and good categories; and 3) There are differences in understanding of LGBT between male students and female students.

Abstract

Guidance and counseling is import commodity, where, the outgrowth still transient. Till now, There is no solid agreement or misconception between guidance and counseling expert for implementation of guidance and counseling in Indonesia. Those problems could be appear due to the lack of competency or knowledge of the counselor in Indonesia. This misconception must be eliminated for the better serve of guidance and counseling in Indonesia. This article aim to share and giving about what is the guidance and counseling, and position of guidance and counseling in school or community.

Abstract

This study discusses the efforts made by the leadership of the Minangkabau Islamic Boarding School and the guidance and counseling teachers in alleviating the problem of bullying that often occurs among students. This issue has become a serious polemic that cannot be ignored, so it needs to be resolved by taking several steps that have been attempted by the Leaders of the Islamic Boarding School. This type of research is field research or what is called qualitative research. The subjects in this study were the leaders of the Minangkabau Village Islamic Boarding School, BK teachers and several teachers as well as parties who were part of the Islamic Boarding School. The results of this study include the leadership making several efforts to overcome bullying cases, including: first, urging every teacher who teaches to evaluate the manners of the students in their daily lives, second, giving severe punishments for bullies, third, printing banners prohibiting bullying, fourth, monitoring the activities of students and the performance of the dormitory guardian during dorm hours, and fifth, discussions with counseling teachers in alleviating the problem of bullying.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi faktor-faktor yang berkontribusi terhadap terjadinya perilaku perundungan di kalangan siswa dan mengeksplorasi strategi potensial untuk mengatasinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi penelitian kualitatif melalui pendekatan studi kasus. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah 6 orang siswa SDN 10 SINTOGA, guru serta masyarakat pengamat lingkungan sekolah.  Fokus dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menyelidiki elemen-elemen yang berkontribusi terhadap perilaku bullying pada anak-anak dan mengusulkan strategi yang efektif untuk mengatasinya. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan melakukan wawancara, observasi, dan pengumpulan dokumentasi. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan tiga hal penting: pertama, prevalensi perilaku bullying yang sudah mendarah daging di kalangan anak-anak; kedua, adanya kesenjangan fisik antara pelaku bullying dan korbannya yang menjadi katalisator terjadinya bullying; dan ketiga, berlanjutnya tindakan pendisiplinan dari murid yang lebih tua kepada murid yang lebih muda dari generasi ke generasi. Solusi yang diusulkan meliputi penerapan tindakan tegas terhadap pelaku, memberikan pelatihan bela diri kepada anak-anak, memberikan pendidikan berkelanjutan tentang bahaya perundungan, dan menumbuhkan rasa saling menghormati di antara anak.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the implementation of Abraham Maslow's humanistic learning theory in the learning process. The method used in this research is the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. This research data uses the main source of information by analyzing documents related to Abraham Maslow's Humanistic learning theory in the learning process. The research results show that the implementation of Abraham Maslow's humanistic learning theory is very relevant to the learning process where there are five human needs that can be applied in the learning process, namely: first, physiological needs where parents must pay attention to children starting from nutrition and other needs because this will relate to development a child; second, the need for safety and security where educators such as parents and teachers must provide a sense of security and safety for children; third, the need to be loved and loved, where the need to love and have someone, parents must create good closeness to their children and a teacher must provide motivation; fourth, the need to be respected. In the learning process, every effort made by students should be respected and the attitude must be equal to all children and there should be no favoritism between students because each child has their own strengths; fifth, the need to increase self-actualization where in implementing humanistic learning theory students are given the opportunity to actualize themselves according to their talents and interests.
