Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve student learning outcomes in subjects with a fashion drawing using Model-Based Learning Portfolio. The research was conducted in SMK Negeri 8 Medan. This research is a class act that is carried out in two cycles. Subjects in this study were students of class XI Clothing 2 amounted to 36 people. Data was collected through tests, observations and questionnaires. Data was analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results of the analysis of the data obtained pre-test as early learning outcomes of students with 38.89% were completed with an average value of 56.79. Data post-test cycle I with an average value of 64.51 with 50% of students who meet the completeness. Meanwhile, the data post-test cycle II with an average value of student learning outcomes 78.81 with 83.33% of students who achieve a minimum completeness criteria (KKM). The data indicate that there is an increase in student learning outcomes of the post-test, the first cycle to post-test cycle II of 33.33%. Observations have shown an increase in the activity of students by 25%. (Cycle I 2,77,% 27.77% whereas the second cycle) with excellent assessment criteria.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the stylization of Batak and Malay batik motifs by developing the shape of a typical Batak batik motif with a typical Malay batik motif and to determine the process of developing a Batak and Malay batik motif design. The target of the research is to create and produce designs of stylized Batak and Malay batik motifs and to conduct batik trials on fabrics with motifs that have been developed, so as to produce textile products in the form of a blend of batik cloth between two tribes in North Sumatra. The research method used is the development research method (R&D). The research model is the IDI (instructional, development, Institute) development model, which includes three stages: define, develop, evaluate. The define stage includes: identifying problems, needs analysis, motive characteristic analysis, design concept analysis. The develop stage includes: development of motif designs and validation of product results by experts (validators). The results showed that Batak and Malay batik products deserve to be developed as a creative industry. The first validation gave a score of 0.89, the second validation got a score of 0.86 and the third validation obtained a score of 0.94. The average value of the validation results is 0.89, so the results of research on the development of stylized Batak and Malay batik motifs are included in the appropriate category and can improve the creative industry in Indonesian.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan modul elektronik melalui pendekatan kognitivisme dalam mata kuliah desain busana. Penelitian ini dilakukan di jurusan tata busana, Fakultas Teknik, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Pengembangan penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode R&D yang meliputi empat tahap: pendahuluan, tahap pengembangan, tahap evaluasi, dan tahap pelaksanaan. Tahapan evaluasi melalui: (1) ahli pakar, (2) evaluasi satu-satu, kelompok kecil, dan uji coba lapangan. Data dikumpulkan melalui tinjauan pustaka dan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul elektronik melalui pendekatan kognitivisme dalam mata kuliah desain busana efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar Kata kunci: model pembelajaran, modul elektronik, pendekatan kognitivisme, desain busana

Abstract

In online learning, lecturers need to modify/develop learning media so that students dont experience difficulties in understanding the learning material. The purpose of this study are: (1) To know how is media development flipbook maker based e-magazine on the pattern drafting of home clothing (2) To know the effectiveness flipbook maker based e-magazine media on the pattern drafting of home clothing. The development model used in this research is the ADDIE. the development procedure (1) Analysis, namely identifying products that are in accordance with the goals of students. (2) Design are, includes designing the initial product and the pattern drafting home clothing. (3) Development, e-magazine media based on Flip book maker will be developed by research hers according to a predetermined design. (4) Implementation (5) Evaluation is carried cut in the form of evaluation formative.

Abstract

This study aims to develop teaching materials in the form of local culture-based batik moduls that can be used as the development of Medan batik motives at Ardhina Batik Medan. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) research method and the research model uses the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The results of the study show that the results of the modul feasibility test according to 6 experts. The results of the data analysis carried out stated that the batik modul based on the local culture of North Sumatra at Ardhina Batik Medan was suitable for use with the "very good" criteria from material experts with an average score of 3 experts, namely 131 or 90.8%, and 3 media experts with a mean score of 141 or 88.5% in the very good category. Thus it can be concluded that the batik modul can be used in learning as well as a means to preserve and develop Medan's typical batik motives.With this modul, students can get to know batik and the process of batik as well as modify the typical motives of several regions into one combination motif (stylization).

Abstract

The objectives of this study are: (1) to develop a Better Teaching and Learning model that can foster character, increase student interest, activity, and learning outcomes in teaching exercises, and determine the validity, effectiveness, and practicality of the Better Teaching and Learning model. This research is a research development (RD). The research was carried out in three stages: (1) Theoretical exploration and expert research on the Better Teaching and Learning model. (2) Empirical test to empirically validate the Better Teaching and Learning model. (3) The implementation stage to determine the effectiveness and practicality of the Better Teaching and Learning model. The results showed that the Better Teaching and Learning model was developed to integrate the basic teaching skills and was presented in eight stages of teaching skills. This model is declared valid by the validator and supported by empirically validated results through field trials. This model has also been tested for its effectiveness in fostering character and increasing student interest, activity, and cognitive learning outcomes. The practice of implementing the Better Teaching and Learning model has also been tested through observations of the ability of prospective teachers in classroom learning, learning responses to the ease with which prospective teachers use the Better Teaching and Learning model, and student acceptance responses to the Better Teaching and Learning model applied by a pre-service teacher. The final result shows that the Better Teaching and learning model developed has met the criteria of validity, effectiveness, and practice.

Abstract

Many Batik motifs in North Sumatra are adopted from the decorative motifs of the Batak tribe. The Malay tribe is a symbol of the city of Medan, which has an attractive variety of decorations. This research aims to produce Malay batik motif designs and carry out batik trials on fabric with motifs that have been developed. This research uses the IDI development model. The result of validating the motif design aspect is 0.83, and the motif appearance aspect is 0.88. The functional aspect assessment resulted in a score of 0.87. The assessment result of the color aspect obtained a score of 0.87, and the balance aspect of batik design motifs obtained a score of 0.79. The validation results conclude that the developed batik motif is declared suitable for use in producing textile products in Malay batik. The results of the development of Malay batik can increase its diversity, potentially advancing local culture in the fashion world.

Abstract

Many students experience the difficulty of applying the right variations of embroidery to clothing. The available learning resources only contain material on clothing variations without providing appropriate examples for applying embroidery variations to clothing. Hence, this research aims to develop an electronic book on the application of embroidery variations to clothing. The research is Research and Development (R&D) research. The development model used is the Brog and gall model. Validation of teaching materials is carried out by material experts and media experts. The validation results from material experts indicates 92.06% in the very feasible category. The validation results from media experts reveals an average of 94.43%, which was very feasible. Small group trials indicates an average result of 82.87% in the very feasible category. Large group trials reveals an average score of 87.85% in the very feasible category. Thus, it can be concluded that the e-book on embroidery variations is very suitable for use in basic embroidery technique courses. The development of an electronic book on embroidery variations can facilitate the delivery of practical material in applying embroidery variations on clothing so as to increase students' understanding of learning basic embroidery techniques.

Abstract

Perupuk merupakan desa di kecamatan Lima Puluh Pesisir, kabupaten Batu Bara. Kabupaten Batu Bara dikenal sebagai sentra industri songket Melayu Batu Bara di Sumatera Utara. Potensi industrI songket ini belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal oleh mitra dalam meningkatkan pendapatan keluarga. Pendapatan utama ibu-ibu di desa Perupuk adalah menenun dan menjahit. Namun, masalah yang dihadapi oleh mitra yaitu kurangnya kreatifitas dalam memanfaatkan tenunan songket Melayu Batu Bara menjadi busana nasional modifikasi ready to wear. Padahal, melalui industri fashion mitra dapat meningkatkan pendapatan keluarga dan dapat memanfaatkan produk busana menjadi platform pengenalan bentuk warisan budaya melalui tenun songket Melayu Batu Bara. Tujuan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) yaitu memberikan pelatihan pembuatan busana nasional modifikasi ready to wear di desa Perupuk, kecamatan Lima Puluh Pesisir, Kab. Batu Bara. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan PKM ini yaitu penyuluhan, pelatihan dan evaluasi. Penyuluhan dilakukan dengan memberi edukasi pengetahuan konsep busana ready to wear. Pengetahuan mitra dalam menciptakan busana ready to wear menggunakan tenun songket Melayu Batu Bara me­ning­kat secara signifikan. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan mitra meningkat sebesar 81.6% kategori baik. Mitra mampu menganalisis konsep desain busana ready to wear, pembuatan pola, merubah pola sesuai desain, pengetahuan merancang bahan dan teknik menjahit busana. PKM ini diharapkan mampu membantu mitra dalam memanfaatkan potensi budaya daerah dan penguatan ekonomi masyarakat setempat serta memastikan produk busana ready to wear tetap mempertahankan identitas tenun songket Melayu Batu Bara.

Abstract

The difficulty of understanding the material for making bustiers just from the teacher's explanation makes students look for more material on the internet so they can repeat the learning independently. However, the material obtained was not made in the correct systematic way. Apart from that, learning media for bustier making that is capable of presenting the material concretely is still very limited. This research aims to develop Web blog media and test the suitability of Web blog media for women's fashion subjects. This type of research is research and development (R&D) research, and this research uses the ADDIE development model. Media development validation was carried out by 3 material experts and 3 media experts. A needs analysis shows that 94% of students agree with the development of a web blog. The results of the material expert assessment on the learning aspect were 89%, the material aspect was 92%, and the overall average assessment was 90.5% in the Very Decent category. The results of the media expert's assessment of the usability aspect were 94%, the media design aspect was 96%, and overall, the average was 95% in the Very Appropriate category. The results of limited trials carried out by 5 students obtained an average of 87.1% in the very good category. Advanced field trials carried out by 36 students obtained an average rating of 89.5% in the very good category. Based on the results of validation and media testing, it can be concluded that the Web blog media developed is very suitable for use as a learning medium for bustier-making material in the women's clothing subject. The development of Web blog media can make it easier to deliver material and make students more interested in repeating learning so that it can increase students' understanding of the correct bustier making.
