Abstract

Kegiatan pemanfaatan perairan pesisir yang berpotensi untuk dikembangkan di Kabupaten Barru adalah budidaya tiram mutiara (Pinctada maxima). Namun, untuk mendapatkan hasil yang maksimal, Pemilihan lokasi melalui kegiatan inventarisasi dan pemetaan potensi sumberdaya lahan merupakan tahapan awal yang penting dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menilai kesesuaian perairan Kabupaten Barru untuk pemanfaatan budidaya tiram mutiara (Pinctada. maxima). Metode yang digunakan analisis karakteristik, analisis kelimpahan plankton SID (Simpson’s index diversity) dan analisis kesesuaian budidaya tiram mutiara melalui pembobotan. Kondisi parameter fisik perairan seperti pasang surut dicirikan oleh pasang surut campuran cenderung harian ganda yaitu siklus pasang surut terjadi 2 kali pasang dan 2 kali surut dalam satu hari. Kecepatan arus perairan berkisar 14 - 69 cm/s. Kontur kedalaman perairan antara 5 - >200 meter dan suhu perairan dalam kategori cukup tinggi pada musim peralihan I pada bulan Mei berkisar 30,1-31,6 0C. Parameter kimia antara lain; salinitas, oksigen terlarut, pH, dan nitrat pada kisaran baku mutu air laut. Kondisi berbeda pada sebaran fosfat pada wilayah muara memiliki tingkat melebihi status baku mutu >0,015 mg/L. Potensi perairan Kabupaten Barru yang sesuai untuk budidaya tiram mutiara (Pinctada maxima) dengan kawasan sangat sesuai seluas 3.201 ha.

Abstract

The research on feeding effectivity of arfak rainbowfish conducted at Fisheries Laboratory, Faculty of Fishes and Marine Scince, University of Papua in July to December 2016. The purpose of this research is to describe feeding effectivity of the fish at several levels of water turbidity. The fish samples used in the treatment, collected from Nimbai Stream, Prafi River system, Manokwari were acclimatized for a month in the laboratory. The fish were selected based on the body length and categorized into six size classes. Each individual of the fish was treated with 200 individuals of mosquito larvae (instar IV stage) at seven turbidity levels (2.54, 25.07, 50.52, 100.20, 500.60, and 800.40 Nephelome-tric Turbidity Unit, NTU) using particles with size of <63um. Feeding effectivity was indicated by the level of preda-tion in a period of 15 minutes. The results of the research showed that average level of predation did not differ among size classes at the low level of turbidity (<50,52 NTU). The significant decrease in the average level of predation occurred at the higher level of turbidity (<100,12 NTU) with the values range from 23.2% to 65.9%. This indicated a decrease in the feeding effectivity as the turbidity levels increase. Abstrak Penelitian efektivitas ikan pelangi arfak dalam mencari makan dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Perikanan FPIK Univer-sitas Papua pada bulan Juli sampai Desember 2016. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas ikan pela-ngi arfak mencari makan pada beberapa tingkat kekeruhan air. Contoh ikan yang digunakan dalam perlakuan dikoleksi dari Sungai Nimbai, sistem Sungai Prafi, Manokwari yang diaklimatisasi selama satu bulan di laboratorium. Individu ikan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dipilih berdasarkan panjang tubuh dan dikelompokkan ke dalam enam kelas ukuran. Setiap individu ikan diberi perlakuan pakan berupa larva nyamuk (tahap instar IV) sebanyak 200 individu pada tujuh tingkat kekeruhan yang berbeda (2,54; 25,07; 50,52; 100,20; 200,20; 500,60 dan 800,40 Nephelometric Turbidity Unit, NTU) dengan menggunakan partikel berukuran <63um. Efektivitas mencari makan akan ditunjukkan berdasarkan tingkat pemangsaan dalam periode 15 menit. Tingkat pemangsaan rata-rata tidak berbeda pada tingkat kekeruhan yang rendah (<50,52 NTU) dalam setiap kelas ukuran. Penurunan tingkat pemangsaan rata-rata secara nyata mulai berlang-sung pada tingkat kekeruhan yang lebih tinggi (<100,12 NTU) dengan nilai sebesar 23,2%-65,9%. Kondisi ini menun-jukkan penurunan efektivitas mencari makan seiring dengan semakin meningkatnya tingkat kekeruhan air.

Abstract

Information on trophic ecology can provide an understanding of the functional role of fish in an ecosystem, including endemic and native fish groups, as well as alien fish that are introduced through anthropogenic activities. The research on the trophic ecology of the fish community in the Nimbai Stream, Prafi River system, is intended to describe the interaction of competition and predation, especially towards endemic fish, Melanotaenia arfakensis. Fish samples were collected monthly from four habitat types, i.e., slow littoral, medium littoral, pool, and run from May 2016 to April 2017. A combination of an electric shocker and a hand net was used to collect fish samples. A total of 16 fish species were collected, consists of one endemic species, namely M. arfakensis, nine species of native fish, and six species of alien fish. The Arfak rainbowfish and three native fish species were categorized as insectivorous, four native fish species as herbivorous, and two other fishes as carnivorous. Three alien fish species also belong to insectivorous, two alien fish species as carnivorous, and one species as herbivorous. The niche breadth of fish communities ranges from 0.071 to 0.857. The trophic niche overlap between the Arfak rainbowfish and three native fish species and three alien fish species was recorded. The results of this study indicate a potential competition and predation interactions between Arfak rainbowfish and native fish as well as with alien fish species. Therefore, introducing alien fish into Prafi River system will disrupt Arfak rainbowfish population. Abstrak Informasi mengenai ekologi trofik dapat memberikan pemahaman tentang peran fungsional ikan dalam suatu ekosis-tem, termasuk pada kelompok ikan endemik, ikan asli, maupun ikan asing yang dimasukkan melalui aktivitas antro-pogenik. Penelitian mengenai ekologi trofik komunitas ikan di Sungai Nimbai, sistem Sungai Prafi, bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan interaksi kompetisi dan pemangsaan, khususnya terhadap ikan endemik, Melanotaenia arfakensis. Contoh ikan dikumpulkan setiap bulan dari Mei 2016-April 2017 di empat tipe habitat yakni tepi aliran lambat, tepi aliran sedang, lubuk, dan aliran deras. Kombinasi alat electric shocker dan hand net digunakan untuk mengumpulkan contoh ikan. Sebanyak 16 spesies ikan berhasil dikumpulkan yang terdiri atas satu jenis ikan endemik (M. arfakensis), sembilan jenis ikan asli, dan enam jenis ikan asing. Ikan pelangi arfak dan tiga jenis ikan asli termasuk insektivora, empat jenis ikan asli adalah ikan herbivora, dan dua jenis ikan asli lainnya termasuk ikan karnivora. Tiga spesies ikan asing juga termasuk ikan insektivora, dua jenis ikan asing adalah ikan karnivora, dan satu spesies ikan asing lainnya adalah ikan herbivora. Luas relung komunitas ikan berkisar di antara 0,071-0,857. Tumpang tindih relung makanan ditemukan antara ikan pelangi arfak dengan tiga spesies ikan asli serta tiga spesies ikan asing. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya potensi interaksi kompetisi dan pemangsaan antara ikan pelangi arfak dan ikan asli serta dengan ikan asing. Introduksi ikan asing ke dalam sistem Sungai Prafi ditengarai akan mengganggu populasi ikan pelangi arfak.

Abstract

Comprehensive information regarding the reproduction, early development, and growth of larvae is very important in the efforts of captive breeding and reintroduction of endangered fish species. One of the species that is starting to be threatened is the Arfak rainbowfish, Melanotaenia arfakensis which is already in the vulnerable category and its information is still relatively limited. Therefore, this study was conducted to describe the spawning activity, early development, and growth of the larvae of this rainbow fish species under laboratory conditions. Experiments on a laboratory scale were carried out in March-September 2017. The fish used came from the Nimbai Stream. A total of three pairs of individual males and females ranging in size from 46.5 to 60.1 mm were selected for treatment. However, only one pair was successfully observed spawning activity completely. Spawning takes place between morning and noon in three spawning periods. In each period, spawning lasts between 8 and 11 days. Between spawning periods takes 14 to 22 days. After fertilization, the eggs are attached with filaments to the spawning substrate and placed at a depth of 7.3-24.3 cm from the surface of the water. One group of eggs spawned consists of 78-116 eggs with a diameter range between 1.05 and 136 mm. The eggs hatch in a period of 4 to 10 days. The body length of the newly hatched larvae ranges from 4.13-4.40 mm and will reach a size of 7.85 mm with a survival rate of 48.1% after 41 days. The results of this study found several advantages from the characteristics of spawning and growth in the early stages that are useful for captive breeding efforts and reintroduction of this rainbowfish to their natural habitat. Thus, its population in the Prafi River system can be maintained.

Abstract

Waduk Jatigede dibangun dengan membendung Sungai Cimanuk dan  memiliki luas 4.122 ha serta merupakan waduk multifungsi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui struktur komunitas ikan dan pemanfaatan sumber daya makanan oleh beberapa jenis ikan yang terdapat di DAS Cimanuk wilayah genangan Waduk Jatigede pra inundasi. Penelitian dilakukan setiap bulan pada Februari-Mei 2015 setiap bulan pada minggu pertama. Sampel ikan diperoleh dengan menggunakan jaring insang, jala, dan pancing. Percobaan penangkapan dilakukan di Sungai Cialing (inlet), Genteng, Cimanuk dan Cinambo (outlet). Ikan yang tertangkap dipisahkan berdasarkan jenisnya dan diukur panjang total serta ditimbang bobotnya. Untuk analisis kebiasaan makan kebiasaan makan, saluran pencernaan diambil dan diawetkan dengan formalin 4%. Untuk identifikasi contoh ikan diawetkan dengan formalin 10%. Ikan yang tertangkap selama penelitian sebanyak 11 jenis. Ikan yang dominan adalah lalawak dan genggehek. Rasio biomassa-kelimpahan ikan menujukkan bahwa komunitas ikan di Waduk Jatigede sebelum penggenangan dalam kondisi terganggu. Jenis makanan alami yang dimanfaatkan oleh komunitas ikan di Sungai Cimanuk wilayah genangan Waduk Jatigede adalah detritus, krustase, annelida, insekta, moluska, tumbuhan dan fitoplankton. Jatigede Reservoir  was build with damming of Cimanuk River has about  4.122 ha surface area as wel as multi purpose reservoir. The aim of the research is to known the fish community structure and trophic level by fishes community at Cimanuk River arround Jatigede Reservoir pre inudated. The research was carried out in February-May 2015. Fish sample was obtained by using gillnet, hook and cast net. The experimental fishings were setting at Cialing (inlet), Genteng, Cimanuk and Cinambo (outlet). Fish sample were separated according speciesand was measured of total lenght. To the analisys of food habits, digestive tract was preserved using formalin 4%. For identification, fish sample  was preserved using formalin 10%. About 11 fish species were recorded. Dominan fish catches were Barbonymus balleroides and Mystacoleucus marginatus. According to Abundance-Biomass Comparisson, fish community was under pressure (unstable). Natural feeds observed were detritus, crustacea, annelida, insecta, molusca, plant and phytoplankton.

Abstract

Kota Bogor merupakan salah satu wilayah dengan jumlah USK (Usaha Skala Kecil) Tapioka tertinggi. USK Tapioka banyak tersebar di antara pemukiman penduduk dan sebagian besar tidak berizin. Limbah padat yang dihasilkan dari proses produksi tapioka dalam bentuk onggok sudah banyak digunakan sebagai bahan baku industri, lain  halnya dengan limbah cair yang dibuang langsung ke lingkungan tanpa proses pengolahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi karakteristik dan merumuskan strategi pengelolaan limbah cair USK tapioka di Kota Bogor Kecamatan Bogor Utara yang terpusat di Kelurahan Ciluar. Data diperoleh melalui observasi lapangan, pengukuran di laboratorium, dan wawancara dengan responden yang terdiri dari beberapa key person. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada bulan Januari-Maret 2019. Pengambilan sampel air limbah dilakukan dengan cara sampling sesaat (grab sampling) pada saluran pembuangan sedangkan analisis strategi pengelolaan dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis SWOT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik limbah cair USK Tapioka meliputi beberapa parameter yaitu warna, TSS, BOD, COD, pH, sianida, dan debit dengan kondisi seluruh parameter sudah melebihi baku mutu kecuali parameter sianida. Pengembangan pengelolaan limbah cair tapioka memiliki potensi yang kuat dan berpeluang. Analisis alternatif strategi menghasilkan 9 strategi. Strategi yang menjadi prioritas utama ialah (1) pengolahan limbah cair diarahkan pada pengolahan yang menghasilkan produk sehingga bernilai ekonomi, (2) bersifat mandiri bukan kawasan, dan (3) pihak kelurahan dan DLH Kota bekerja sama dalam melakukan pendataan USK serta membantu pembentukan kelembagaan antar USK.

Abstract

ABSTRAKTelah dilakukan penelitian dengan tujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh pencemaran dari lingkungan antropogenik terhadap kondisi kualitas air, sedimen dan moluska di perairan Danau Maninjau. Danau Maninjau adalah salah satu danau yang terletak di Kabupaten Agam Sumatera Barat. Tipe danau ini adalah danau tekno vulkanik yang terbentuk oleh aktivitas vulkanik. Isu pencemaran air danau merupakan isu utama dalam pemanfaatan dan pengembangan kawasan danau, di daerah manapun. Kegiatan penduduk di sekitar danau yang cenderung bersifat produktif  pada umumnya otomatis menghasilkan limbah buangan hasil proses produksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama 3 (tiga) kali dari bulan Maret-September 2015 di 7 (tujuh) titik lokasi muara sungai di sekitar D. Maninjau yang berpotensi masuknya bahan pencemar. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan konsentrasi rata-rata TP pada air berkisar 0,0245-0,2117 mg L-1; TN 0,5085-1,2292 mg L-1; O-PO4 0,0206-0,2241 mg L-1 dan NO3 0,0841-1,0618 mg L-1. Kandungan logam rata-rata pada sedimen Fe 1,1733-3,5733 mg kg-1; Pb 0,0037-11,230 mg kg-1; Cd 0,0050-0,0193 mg kg-1; Hg 0,00056-0,05914 mg kg-1; dan Cr tidak terdeteksi atau dibawah 0,004 mg kg-1. Sementara untuk rata-rata logam berat pada moluska Fe 0,04-0,948 mg kg-1; Pb 0,002-4,17 mg kg-1; Cd 0,013-1,032 mg kg-1; Cr 0,040-0,098 mg kg-1; dan Hg 0,0004-0,1062 mg kg-1. Dari hasil analisis data yang diperoleh menunjukkan ada dugaan telah terjadi pencemaran logam berat pada sedimen dan  moluska di muara-muara sungai yang masuk langsung ke badan perairan Danau Maninjau. Kata kunci :antropogenik, danau maninjau,kualitas air, moluska, sedimen, ABSTRACTHas conducted research with the aim to study the effect of anthropogenic pollution of the environment on the condition of water quality, sediment and molluscs in the waters of Lake Maninjau. Maninjau is one lake located in Agam regency of West Sumatra.Type this lake is techno volcaniclake formed by volcanic activity.The issue of pollution of the lake water is a major issue in the utilization and development of the area of the lake, in any area. Activity of the population around the lake tends to be productive in general automatically generates waste from the production process results. This study was conducted over three (3) times from March-September 2015 in seven (7) locations of river estuaries around D. Maninjau potential influx of contaminants.The results showed the average concentration of TP in water ranging from 0.0245 to 0.2117 mg L-1; TN 0.5085 to 1.2292 mg L-1; O-PO4 from 0.0206 to 0.2241 mg L-1 and NO3 0.0841 to 1.0618 mg L-1. The average metal content in the sediment Fe 1.1733 to 3.5733 mg kg-1; Pb 0.0037 to 11.230 mg kg-1; Cd 0.0050 to 0.0193 mg kg-1; 0.00056 to 0.05914 mg Hg kg-1; and Cr undetectable or below 0.004 mg kg-1. As for the average heavy metals in mollusks Fe 0.04 to 0.948 mg kg-1; Pb 0.002 to 4.17 mg kg-1; Cd 0.013 to 1.032 mg kg-1; Cr 0.040 to 0.098 mg kg-1; and Hg from 0.0004 to 0.1062 mg kg-1. From the analysis of the data obtained showed no allegation has been going on heavy metal pollution in the sediment and molluscs in a river estuary that goes directly into the water body of Lake Maninjau. Abstract

Lake Maninjau is one of the tectovulcanic type lakes in West Sumatra Province which is used as a food source in the presence of fauna groups such as mollusks. The main purpose of this study is to determine the distribution of mollusks concerning the substrate in Lake Maninjau. This research was conducted three times from March-September 2015 at seven points of the river estuary around Lake Maninjau. The result of the study shows that Corbicula moltkiana was mostly found at Pandan station, while Melanoides tuberculata and Anodonta woodiana were mostly found at Muko-Muko station. The distribution pattern of Corbicula moltkiana and Melanoides tuberculata shows a tendency to live in groups. The waters of the estuary around Lake Maninjau are dominated by sand with TN and TP concentrations ranged from 0.093 - 0.610 mg kg-1 and 0.427 - 2.137 mg kg-1, respectively.

Abstract

Banten Bay is a developing area that is used by various activities such as fishing ports, industry and hotels. Many activities in the coastal areas of Serang City and Cilegon Regency have a serious impact on the quality of waters and fishery resources along Banten Bay. This study aims to analyze and determine maximum tolerance limit for bandik grouper (C. boenak) meat and gills which are safe for consumption by adults and children. The study was conducted at six stations, namely Panjang Island and Pamujaan Besar Island during the period of May, June and July 2019. Measurement of heavy metal content on meat and gills carried out using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometric (AAS). The content of Pb and Cd in water fluctuates. The metal content of Pb and Cd in the meat and gills of bandik grouper has exceeded the quality standards set by BPOM and FAO/WHO, and is classified as polluted mild to moderate Pb bioconcentration factor values in grouper meat ranged from 6.78-72.00 and Pb bioconcentration in grouper gills 32.86-762.61. The maximum weight of grouper meat that can be tolerated for consumption for adults is 3,5 kg/week and children 1.0 kg/week.

Abstract

Solid waste disposed from land that enters the oceans through rivers that do not go through TPA and TPS facilities, is not officially managed, resulting in an uncontrolled and unmanaged. Efforts to reduce the volume of waste in several places are closely related to community behavior, an effort to raise awareness and increase understanding is needed to encourage behavioral change that is carried out in stages, either through promotion or dissemination or continuous campaigning. This study aims to determine the decisions of residents who live on the edge of the Ciadane river regarding their daily habit of disposing of garbage. The method used is a survey to the research location and data collection through interviews with a questionnaire guide. Questionnaires will be deployed to represent settlements around the river and villages that are traversed by the cisadane river. The research sample was taken randomly / representing residents who lived on the riverbank as many as 120 respondents to represent the upstream, middle and downstream areas. Identifying factors that influence the decision to dispose of waste into the river were analyzed using ordinal logistic regression. The results of the ordinal logistic regression test showed partial simultaneous selection of TPS availability factors, TPS conditions, the role of community leaders and the impact of river waste showed a significant positive effect on the factors that influence the behavior of throwing garbage into the Cisadane river.
