Abstract

Tanaman cabai (Capsicum sp) merupakan salah satu komiditi yang memiliki nilai ekonomi tinggi yang rentan terserang penyakit layu yang disebabkan oleh cendawan F.o f.sp capsici . Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh cendawan F.o f.sp capsici penyebab penyakit layu pada tanaman cabai yang sakit, untuk memperoleh isolat bakteri antagonis yang mampu menghambat perkembangan cendawan F.o f.sp capsici dan untuk mengetahui keefektifan bakteri antagonis dalam menghambat perkembangan cendawan F.o f.sp capsici penyebab layu pada tanaman cabai. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Biologi FMIPA UNM. Penelitian ini menggunnakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 9 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan. Analisis data menggunnakan ANOVA dan uji Duncan. Berdasarkan karakter morfologi secara makroskopis dan mikroskopis cendawan yang diisolasi dari tanaman Lombok yang sakit adalah Fusarium oxysporum f.sp capsici . Isolat bakteri antagonis terbaik menghambat pertumbuhan F.o f.sp capsici secara in vitro yaitu  Bacillus sp  81,0% .Kata kunci: Bakteri antagonis,  F.o  f.sp capsici, Tanaman Cabai.ABSTRACTChili Plants (Capsicum sp) is one commodity that has high economic value susceptible to wilt disease caused by fungus F.o f.sp capsici. The aim of this research is to obtain fungus Fo f cap capsici cause wilt disease in chilli plant that is sick, to obtain isolate of antagonistic bacteria that able to inhibit fungus development fosp capsici and to know effectiveness of antagonistic bacteria in inhibiting fungus development fosp capsici cause of wilting on pepper plant. This research was conducted in Biology Laboratory of FMIPA UNM. This research used Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with 9 treatments and 3 replications. Analyze data using ANOVA and Duncan test. Based on the morphological character of macroscopic and microscopic fungi isolated from the sick Lombok plant is Fusarium oxysporum f.sp capsici. The best antagonistic bacterial isolates inhibited the growth of F.o f.sp capsici in vitro Bacillus sp 81.0%.Key words: Bacterial antagonists, F.o f.sp capsici and Chili Plants.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kevalidan dan kepraktisan penggunaan Genetic Vocabulary Cards untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa Kelas XII MAN 1 Makassar. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu Reseacrh and Development. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XII MIA MAN 1 Makassar tahun ajaran 2018/2019 yang terdiri dari 5 kelas. Sampel adalah siswa kelas XII MIA 5 MAN 1 Makassar tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket respon peserta didik dan lembar penilaian kevalidan validator media. Hasil penelitian ini menujukan bahwa media pembelajaran Genetic Vocabulary Cards dinyatakan valid dan praktis dalam penggunaanya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (Classroom action research) yang dilaksanakan selama dua siklus. Tujuan penelitian ini meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar peserta didik melalui penggunaan peta pikir. Subjek penelitian yaitu peserta didik kelas XI MIA 1 SMA Negeri 9 Makassar. Data penelitian yang dikumpulkan ada 2 yaitu aktivitas dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Aktivitas belajar peserta didik dikumpulkan selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung yang diamati oleh 2 orang observer dengan menggunakan lembar observasi, selanjutnya data hasil belajar diperoleh melalui pemberian tes evaluasi yang dilaksanakan dengan mengambil jam pelajaran biologi pada pertemuan ketiga setiap siklus, tes akhir siklus yang diberikan berupa soal pilihan ganda sebanyak 25 item. Semua data yang diperoleh dianalisis melalui 3 cara yaitu analisis kualitatif untuk aktivitas belajar peserta didik, kuantitatif untuk hasil belajar peserta didik, dan gain ternormalisasi untuk mengetahui kategori selisih peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik. Hasil penelitian mengenai aktivitas belajar peserta didik yang telah dianalisis menunjukkan rata-rata pada siklus I sebesar 75,10%, sedangkan pada siklus II sebesar 88,57%, sehingga selisih peningkatannya sebesar 13,47%. Melalui analisis kuantitatif, maka diketahui kategori ketuntasan hasil belajar peserta didik dimana jumlah persentase peserta didik yang tuntas pada siklus I 71,43%, sedangkan pada siklus II mencapai 91,43%. Diiringi dengan penurunan kategori peserta didik yang tidak tuntas pada siklus I sebesar 28,57% menjadi 8,57% pada siklus II. Berdasarkan analisis gain, rata-rata peningkatan hasil belajar siklus II terhadap siklus I sebesar 0,46 atau kategori sedang. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan peta pikir dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kesadaran metakognitif siswa yang diajar menggunakan model Problem-Based Instruction (PBI) dengan kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS). Penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan rancangan pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. Pada penelitian ini digunakan kelompok eksperimen I berupa model pembelajaran PBI dan kelompok eksperimen II berupa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS.Instrumen penelitian berupa angket MAI (Metacognitive Awareness Inventory) untuk mengukur kesadaran metakognitif. Data dianalisis statistik deskriptif dan inferensial (T-tes dengan α= 0,05) dengan bantuan program SPSS 17.0 for Windows. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwatidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan kesadaran metakognitif siswa SMA yang diajarmenggunakanmodel PBI dengan kooperatif TPS (p> 0,05 dengan sig 0,063).

Abstract

This study aims: (1) to identify the main support system in the design of environment-based learning in the Jurusan Biologi Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Universitas Negeri Makassar. (2) To know the utilization of environment-based learning resources in the Jurusan Biologi Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Universitas Negeri Makassar. Through the Needs Assessment instrument in the form of field observation, questionnaire survey, and interviews on lecturers and students identified the problem to determine the appropriate action for the next stage, so that the learning design will be the best solution. The results obtained that (1) Jurusan Biologi UNM has two locations or major areas that are very supportive of environment-based learning with their respective characteristics. The two areas are Biology Experiment Garden and Library Discussion Platform Biology Department FMIPA UNM. (2) Some subjects have utilized environment-based learning resources in the Jurusan Biologi FMIPA UNM. Solutions from the results of the identification obtained are among others; (1) Jurusan Biologi can be used as a place of learning, learning resources, and as a medium of learning in the design of environment-based learning. (2) Jurusan Biologi can be used as a comfortable and enjoyable learning environment for all academic community (3) Environmental Based Learning Design in Jurusan Biologi can be done in almost all courses by increasing the role of lecturer as a facilitator.

Abstract

Investigasi Persiapan dan Pelaksanaan Perkuliahan Dasar Biologi. Penelitian deskriptif ini bertujuan mengungkapkan karakteristik persiapan dan pelaksanaan perkuliahan biologi dasar dalam kaitannya dengan pembelajaran pengalaman dan berpikir kritis. Sumber data penelitian adalah doku-men perangkat perkuliahan biologi dasar dan dosen pengajar biologi dasar. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi dokumen dan pengisian angket oleh dosen pengajar. Analisis data hasil observasi dan pengisian angket dilakukan secara deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa mata kuliah biologi dasar layak digunakan guna keperluan riset dan pengembangan model expe-riential learning untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir mahasiswa. Kata kunci: biologi dasar, investigasi, pelaksanaan perkuliahan

Abstract

The era of the industrial revolution 4.0 changed the way of looking at education. The changes made are not just a way of teaching, but are far more essential that is in the perspective on the concept of education itself. The competence of Biology teachers in Enrekang Regency in designing learning tools and media based on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is still low. This community partnership program activity aimed to improve the ability of high school biology teachers to use android-based e-book creation software. In the implementation of this training activity, the following results were obtained: (1) Increasing the ability of MGMP teachers for Biology subject in Enrekang Regency in designing Android-based e-book learning media, (2) As the assessment, an overall average score of this program was 4.93 (categorized as good criteria). Based on the results of this community partnership program, it is hoped that the results can be a good input for the Enrekang Regency Education office in particular, education practitioners and the government in general. To sum up,  the ability of teachers related to the application of technology and information in learning activities using various technology utilization through sorts of trainings still need hard efforts to increase.

Abstract

Higher-order thinking is one of the skills that must be possessed by students in learning in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. The use of teaching materials that do not facilitate students to develop higher order thinking skills has an impact on the achievement of learning objectives. This study aims to develop an e-module based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) for high school students. The e-module was developed using a research and development design with reference to the development of the ADDIE model. Data collection techniques in this study used interviews, observations, instruments and response questionnaires. The data obtained were then processed using descriptive statistical analysis. The implementation of e-modules as a learning resource for students can be used as independent learning, both at school, at home, and wherever they are without being tied to time. The results of this study indicate that the use of HOTS-based e-modules in learning can improve students' higher order thinking skills, and can make students learn independently.

Abstract

Internet of Things (IoT) is part of digital literacy that its function is undeniable when people are today obsessed more to social media and gadgets. IoT is greatly potential to support education field, especially in facilitating teachers. However, with all functions it has, IoT is not well mastered by many teachers in the city of Makassar. The issue is mainly because teachers are not well literate to IT. Therefore, it is significant to provide teachers with some trainings or workshops. Thus, this community service is projected to improve teachers’ competence in the use of IoT so that they will be life-long learners in the future. The ability to be life-long learner is one of the indicators to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This community service has resulted in several outputs, they are: 1) teachers are equipped with the ability to use IoT and e-learning software, 2) the scoring results reveal that this community service has the average score of 4,67 (good criteria).

Abstract

Abstract. One of the basic needs for every human being is health. The environment is one of important factor that greatly influences human health, because the environment is a place where humans do all their activities. Every effort made by humans to avoid dangerous waste materials with the aim of improving the quality of the environment is called sanitation. The purpose of this study was to determ ine the relationship between the socio-economic conditions of the community and sanitation. The research design used in this study was a correlational research design using the Spearman Rank analysis technique for variables of education level and income level, while the analysis of the relationship between types of work and sanitation was analyzed using Cramer's contingency coefficient analysis technique. Samples taken were randomly selected by using cluster random sampling technique with a total sample of 120 samples. The results showed that as many as 97 (80%) of respondents had a low level of education ie graduating from elementary school. In the sub-variable type of work, the type of work most frequently done was fishermen with 41 respondents with a percentage of 34.16%. In the income level sub-variable, the highest percentage was 58 (48.3%) of respondents in the low income category. Based on the results of the correlation test between the socioeconomic level sub variables with sanitation, the results obtained are there is a relationship between the level of education with sanitation with a syg value of 0.010, there is a relationship between the type of work with sanitation with a syg value of 0.007, and there is a relationship between the level of income with sanitation with syg value of 0.005.Keywords: Education level, type of job, income level, sanitation.
