Abstract

This study aims: (1). To identify the main support system in the design of environment-based learning in the Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Makassar State University. (2). Knowing the use of environment-based learning resources in the Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Makassar State University. Through the Needs Assessment instrument in the form of field observations, questionnaire surveys, and interviews with lecturers and students identified problems to determine the right action for the next stage, so the design of learning to be carried out is the best solution. The results of the study are that (1). The Biology Department of UNM has two main locations or areas that strongly support environment-based learning with their respective characteristics. The two areas are the Biology Experiment Garden and the Field of Library Discussion of the Biology Department of FMIPA UNM. (2) Some courses have made use of environment-based learning resources in the Biology Department of FMIPA UNM. Solutions from the identification results obtained are among others; (1). The Department of Biology can be used as a place of learning, a source of learning, and as a learning media in the design of environment-based learning. (2). The Biology Department can be used as a comfortable and pleasant learning environment for the entire academic community. (3). The design of Environmental Based Learning in the Biology Department of UNM can be done in almost all subjects by increasing the role of the lecturer as a facilitator.

Abstract

environmental learning aims that students have concern for the surrounding environment. The learning model of environmental learning (EL) described in this article applies the outdoor learning method. Learning materials presented to students are arranged by involving the surrounding environment. This means that learning can be done not only in classrooms, but also outside the classroom in order for students to be more comfortable and active in the learning process. the initial ability of students needs to be considered in the learning process because it affects the ability of students to follow the next learning process. This article describes the meaning, goals and benefits, advantages and disadvantages and the stages of the method of outdoor learning. So that it can be concluded that higher education is education in higher education that has several general goals / principles where knowledge (knowledge) is created, used continuously and a place of search for knowledge, solving various problems, where to criticize the works produced, or as the place for the formation and development of student character to become a student who has high reasoning, sharp and broad analysis. Especially in environment-based learning developed so that students gain more experience related to the surrounding environment.

Abstract

The results obtained that (1) Jurusan Biologi UNM has two locations or major areas that are very supportive of environment-based learning with their respective characteristics. The two areas are Biology Experiment Garden and Library Discussion Platform Biology Department FMIPA UNM. (2) Some subjects have utilized environment-based learning resources in the Jurusan Biologi FMIPA UNM. Solutions from the results of the identification obtained are among others; (1) Jurusan Biologi can be used as a place of learning, learning resources, and as a medium of learning in the design of environment-based learning. (2) Jurusan Biologi can be used as a comfortable and enjoyable learning environment for all academic community (3) Environmental Based Learning Design in Jurusan Biologi can be done in almost all courses by increasing the role of lecturer as a facilitator.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk dan alasan penggunaan dua bahasa (bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa konjo) dalam pembelajaran matematika. Subjek penelitian adalah guru dan siswa kelas VII di SMPN 1 Tombolopao. Data diperoleh dengan menggunakan Instrumen penelitian, yaitu observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan dua bahasa dalam pembelajaran matematika yang berhubungan dengan kalimat diubah menjadi bahasa Konjo dan bahasa sehari-hari siswa. Penggunaan Bahasa Indonesia digunakan saat guru menjelaskan materi dan saat guru mengadakan evaluasi pada siswanya, guru akan membimbing siswa dengan menggunakan bahasa Konjo. Selanjutnya, bahasa Konjo digunakan saat guru ingin menyampaikan hal-hal penting yang menekankan penjelasan dalam kalimat Konjo. Faktor penyebab penggunaan komunikasi dua bahasa antara guru dan siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika adalah terbatasnya penggunaan Bahasa dengan alasan sebagai berikut; 1) Membantu siswa memahami materi yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan bahasa sehari-hari. 2) Guru merasa ada jarak dengan siswa saat menggunakan bahasa formal. Maka guru mengajak siswa untuk mengekspresikan pendapat mereka dalam bahasa yang sering digunakan. 3) Sifat Siri' dan Sipakatau dialami oleh siswa.

Abstract

Acknowledging prior knowledge on technology, pedagogy, and content of lecturers in this early stage of developmental research is assuming important as basic data for further steps in designing TPACK model-based instruction in teaching writing. Therefore, having investigation on TPACK literacy of the lecturers will complete the data needed in this study. This paper presents an analysis of Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) literacy among lecturers at Universitas Muhammadiyah Parepare, Indonesia. In finding the data, the TPACK survey of Schmidt, Baran, Thomson (2009) was applied by having little modification on it. The main points on the survey were about Technological Knowledge (TK), Pedagogical Knowledge (PK), Content Knowledge (CK), and TPACK. In gaining the data, the questionnaire as the research instrument was distributed to lecturers in the English Education Department, and their responses were analyzed quantitatively. This research was conducted at Universitas Muhammadiyah Parepare, South Sulawesi province, Indonesia. The questionnaire results showed that the lecturers’ levels of literacy on technology, pedagogy, content knowledge, and TPACK are on moderate stage.  They can be categorized as good level on overall TPACK literacy, but need to improve in order to achieve better results by having more practice or learning workshops.

Abstract

This is elementary school teacher training to solve mathematics olympiad problems in Bulukumba district. The purpose of this training is to (1) provide information about mathematics olympiad in Indonesia (2) training teacher to solve mathematics olympiad problems, and (3) motivate primary teachers to conduct olympiad class in their school. The method is divided into two, namely the presentation and the independent tasks. The presentation focuses on the types of math competitions and the types of Olympic problems. Independent task aims to create and solve mathematics Olympiad problems for elementary school level. In addition, motivation was also being concerned in this training. The teachers were expected to use the problems in their mathematics class and also to identify students who potentially have ability join in mathematics competition. Abstrak Pengabdian ini berupa pelatihan olimpiade matematika tingkat Sekolah Dasar yang diperuntukkan bagi Guru Sekolah Dasar di Kabupaten Bulukumba. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk (1) memberikan pengetahuan terkait pelaksanaan olimpiade matematika di Indonesia (2) memberikan pemahaman terkait soal-soal olimpiade matematika, dan (3) memberikan motivasi kepada guru untuk melakukan pembimbingan olimpiade. Metode pelaksanaan terbagi atas dua yakni metode ceramah dan metode kerja mandiri. Metode ceramah berfokus kepada materi tentang jenis jenis kompetisi matematika dan jenis jenis soal olimpiade. Kerja mandiri bertujuan untuk membuat dan menyelesaikan soal olimpiade matematika tingkat SD. Selain itu, motivasi juga diberikan agar guru dapat mengadopsi soal tersbeut dalam kegiatan pembelajaran serta mencari bibit unggul yang dapat diikutkan untuk berkompetisi.

Abstract

The application of fast calculation techniques in supporting the learning mathematics in this training activity aimed to increase the understanding of elementary school mathematics teachers about the fast calculation method that can be applied in basic algebraic calculation. The implementation of this activity was expected to improve the quality of Elementary School Mathematics education in Takalar Regency. This training used demonstration and question-and-answer methods about the fast calculation technique performed by elementary school teachers in Takalar Regency. The implementation of this activity began with observations and interviews with the Head of the Teacher and Education Personnel Division at the Takalar Regency Education Office. This activity was carried out by Syncronouse Online using the Zoom meeting application due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. There were 33 participants who attended the training. Based on the results of a questionnaire on the teacher’s perceptions about the use of fast calculation techniques, all teachers find this technique helpful. Therefore, the teachers will use this technique in teaching arithmetic to their students. Abstrak Penerapan teknik berhitung cepat sebagai penunjang pembelajaran Matematika dalam Kegiatan pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman guru- guru matematika sekolah dasar akan sebuah metode berhitung cepat yang dapat diterapkan dalam operasi dasar berhitung aljabar. Target khusus yang ingin dicapai dalam kegiatan ini adalah meningkatnya mutu pendidikan Matematika Sekolah Dasar di Kabupaten Takalar. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan pelatihan ini berupa metode demonstrasi dan tanya jawab tentang teknik berhitung cepat yang dilakukan oleh guru-guru sekolah dasar Se-Kabupaten Takalar. Adapun kegiatan ini dimulai dengan observasi dan wawancara dengan kepala bidang guru dan tenaga kependidikan Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Takalar. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan secara Daring Syncronouse menggunakan aplikasi meeting Zoom dikarenakan wabah Pandemi Covid – 19 masih mengganas. Peserta yang hadir saat pelaksanaan pelatihan sebanyak 33 orang. Hasil angket persepsi guru tentang penggunaan teknik berhitung cepat semua guru-guru merasa senang dengan kemampuan ini, demikian pula bahwa guru-guru akan memanfaatkan teknik ini dalam membelajarkan berhitung bagi murid-muridnya.

Abstract

Hasil belajar dipandang sebagai akibat proses belajar dan pencapaian hasil belajar lebih banyak ditentukan oleh proses pembelajaran. Penilaian bertujuan mengetahui hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan assesmen afektif siswa melalui pembelajaran berbasis proyek melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group Investigation. Subjek uji coba adalah siswa SMA Negeri 2 Majene kelas X1 sebanyak 23 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan tes hasil belajar dalam bentuk essay. Teknik analisis data dengan menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif. Analisis Validitas dengan Correlate Bivariate Pearson diperoleh nilai korelasi untuk setiap butir soal yang lebih besar dari 0,3 dengan nilai korelasi berdasarkan SPSS lebih kecil dari 0,05. Tingkat reliabilitas lebih besar 0,70 yaitu masing-masing 0,798, 0,804, dan 0,811. Melalui wawancara siswa berpendapat bahwa pembelajaran ini menyenangkan, hal ini menyebabkan nilai siswa pada setiap pertemuan meningkat.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the level of students' problem solving abilities in relation and function questions. Using a qualitative approach, data was obtained from tests and interviews. The test instrument measures critical thinking abilities. Three subjects were selected with different levels of ability: high, medium, and low. The research results show that the critical thinking ability of high ability subjects includes all indicators of critical thinking including interpretation, analysis, evaluation and inference; the medium ability subject includes 3 indicators of critical thinking ability including interpretation, analysis and inference; and for low ability subjects only on interpretation indicators.

Abstract

Learning mathematics in class greatly influences students' learning success both in terms of knowledge and attitudes. In carrying out learning, a learning design is needed that can foster student motivation so that they provide learning outcomes to the learning objectives. Motivational-Realistic-Pancasila learning design is considered to be an alternative solution. Morela is a design that combines motivational, realistic indicators and Pancasila values. The teaching of mathematics in the classroom significantly influences students' academic success, both in terms of knowledge and attitude. To effectively carry out the teaching process, a well-designed instructional approach is necessary to foster students' motivation to achieve learning outcomes in line with the educational objectives. The Morela design is considered one alternative solution, as it integrates indicators of motivation, realism, and Pancasila values.DOI: 10.17977/jps.v12i42024p160
