Abstract

Natural clay mask is a safe and effective alternative for skin care. This study aims to develop a clay mask based on Spirulina, enriched with sali-cylic acid, Centella asiatica, and clay, for natural skin care innovation. Three formulations were tested with different composition variations: (1) salicylic acid 0.50 g, Centella asiatica 5 mL, clay 10 mL; (2) salicylic acid 0.20 g, Centella asiatica 2.5 mL, clay 20 mL; and (3) salicylic acid 0.20 g, Centella asiatica 2.5 mL, clay 10 mL. The results showed that all formulations were physically stable with a pH suitable for the skin. Hedonic tests were conducted on 20 student respondents to evaluate preferences for the formulations. Respondents gave assessments based on as-pects of texture, aroma, color, and comfort of use. Formulation C1 is effective for acne-prone skin, C2 excels in spreadability for oily skin, and C3 provides a balance between cleansing and moisturizing. The combination of nutrient-rich Spirulina sp., clay, salicylic acid, and Centella asiatica produces a product that not only cleanses deeply, but also provides nutrition and prevents hydration to the skin. This product is safe, environmen-tally friendly, and has great potential to be developed in the cosmetic industry as a natural skin care.

Abstract

Students who have good communication skills tend to find it easier to understand the material, collaborate with classmates, and complete assignments. Communication skills must be established in students. Learning is not optimal without good communication (good interaction between educators and students). The research on applying the multi-representational discourse (MRD) learning model. This study aimed to explore how this model can improve students' communication skills. The method used in this study was classroom action research. This study was conducted on grade XI students at MAN Kota Palangka Raya with 36 respondents. The data analysis technique used is a quantitative analysis technique to compare student activities during the cycle. The results showed an increase in students' communication skills using MRD learning. The MRD model encourages students to discuss and exchange opinions actively, improving their ability to communicate verbally and non-verbally. The results showed increased students' communication skills, especially in expressing opinions, discussing, making presentations, and asking questions. The use of models that involve active interaction between students, such as group discussions, can have a positive impact on the learning process.

Abstract

This study tries to find out how using Quizizz as a way to check learning affects students' results in the subject World and Hereafter Balance at MTsN 1 Kota Palangka Raya. The study uses an experimental approach with a design that only includes a post-test for comparison. Two classes were involved: class VIII-5 as the control group and class VIII-7 as the experimental group, making a total of 60 students. The method used to select the students was purposive sampling. The data was analyzed with SPSS version 26, using an Independent Samples t-test and also a quantitative descriptive analysis through percentages. The findings showed that students in the experimental group had better learning results than those in the control group. Most students from both groups gave positive comments about using Quizizz, which was considered “good. ” The t-test results also showed a big difference between the two groups, meaning that using Quizizz had a significant effect. So, it is hoped that teachers can use interactive tools like Quizizz in their lessons to help students learn better and stay more engaged. The study suggests that using digital tools like Quizizz can be a good way to evaluate learning, and teachers should consider using this technology to improve learning results, engagement, and interest in learning. The implications of this study indicate that the use of interactive digital media such as Quizizz can be an effective alternative in the learning evaluation process. It is hoped that teachers can integrate this technology to improve student learning outcomes, engagement, and motivation in learning.

Abstract

QuizWhizzer is a digital game-based evaluation medium that offers interactive and engaging learning experiences. This study aims to develop QuizWhizzer as an evaluation tool for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMP NU Palangka Raya. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model and a descriptive qualitative approach. The study was conducted from April 10 to June 10, 2025, involving Grade VIII-2 students. The instruments used included media expert validation questionnaires, evaluation questions, and teacher and student response questionnaires. The validation results indicated that the media is highly feasible for use, with scores of 98% from media experts, 97.5% from item experts after revisions, and response instrument validation scores of ≥81%. Teacher and student responses were also positive, at 91.67% and 70% respectively. The test items demonstrated high validity, a reliability coefficient of 0.86, varied difficulty levels, good discrimination power, and effective distractors. This study concludes that QuizWhizzer is suitable for use as an interactive digital evaluation medium, particularly for the topics of buying and selling, usury (riba), and debt. The novelty of this research lies in the use of a gamification platform for PAI learning evaluation at the junior high school level, which remains uncommon, especially through the use of the QuizWhizzer digital game board that enables interactive and game-based assessment.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemandirian peserta didik MTsN 1 Kota Palangka Raya dalam membuat serta mengaplikasikan pupuk organik cair (POC) berbahan dasar belimbing wuluh (Averrhoa bilimbi L.). POC merupakan alternatif ramah lingkungan yang mampu memperbaiki struktur tanah, meningkatkan kandungan hara, serta mengurangi ketergantungan terhadap pupuk kimia. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan sejalan dengan pembelajaran IPA pada materi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tumbuhan, dengan memanfaatkan sumber daya alam dan limbah organik berupa buah belimbing wuluh yang masih jarang digunakan. Metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) dengan tahapan sosialisasi, pelatihan, praktik langsung, dan pendampingan peserta didik. Kegiatan ini berlangsung selama 15 hari mulai dari tanggal 27 September-12 Oktober 2025. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kemandirian, pengetahuan, antusiasme, dan kesadaran peserta didik terhadap pentingnya pertanian berkelanjutan. Produk POC yang dihasilkan memiliki karakteristik cairan beraroma fermentasi alami dan diaplikasikan secara efektif pada tanaman. Kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif dalam membentuk karakter peduli lingkungan, jiwa kewirausahaan, dan sikap mandiri peserta didik. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga mencerminkan nilai-nilai ekoteologi, yaitu integrasi antara kesadaran ekologis dan spiritualitas Islam.

Abstract

The lack of knowledge about Ageratum conyzoides, Mussaenda frondosa, and Curcuma domestica as alternative medicines for treating postpartum infections, because there is still little research and documentation being carried out. Therefore, this research is expected to prove in vivo in order to know the analgesic effect of the combination formulation 3:2:1 extracts of Ageratum conyzoides, Mussaenda frondosa, and Curcuma domestica as therapy for post-partum infections. The research method used a true experimental post-test only control-group design, with 36 pregnant female mice as the test object. Ageratum conyzoides leaves, Mussaenda frondosa, and Curcuma domestica were prepared in a 3:2:1 formulation, with design levels of 40%, 60% and 80%. Analgesic-effect data were analyzed using the ANAVA statistical method and Duncan's test with a significant level of 1%. The results of the analgesic effect were obtained from the average number of S.aureus colonies and the vaginal mucosal fluid secretion index of mice infected with S.aureus. The results showed that the combination formulation of 3:2:1 extracts with a concentration of 30% had a significant effect on growth in S.aureus at a significant level of 1%. It was concluded that the 3:2:1 combination formulation can be recommended as the most effective in inhibiting infection S.aureus.

Abstract

Desa walur merupakan salah satu desa yang ada di Kecamatan Gunung Timang, Kabupaten Barito Utara. Kami melakukan observasi dalam pengabdian masyarakat KKN di desa walur barito utara, peneliti menemukan permasalahan yang bersifat pendidikan di SDN 1 Walur ada beberapa anak-anak belum bisa membaca menghitung, menulis dan ada yang belum memahami Bahasa inggris. Titik permasalahan inti yang ditemukan adalah subjek kurang mendalami calistung (baca tulis hitung) dan bahasa inggris. Metode Participatory Action Research (PAR) digunakan dalam pengabdian ini, yang melibatkan aktif partisipasi masyarakat dalam seluruh proses pengabdian. Program "Rumah Pintar" bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aksesibilitas dan kualitas pendidikan di Desa Walur dengan berfokus pada pembelajaran membaca, menulis, menghitung, dan Bahasa Inggris. Artikel ini merinci tahap-tahap implementasi program, termasuk identifikasi masalah, perencanaan bersama, implementasi program, dan evaluasi. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa program "Rumah Pintar" berhasil meningkatkan prestasi belajar anak-anak dalam bidang yang dijelaskan. Lebih dari itu, program ini juga memicu minat belajar anak-anak dan meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di Desa Walur secara keseluruhan. Dengan pendekatan yang berkelanjutan dan partisipatif, artikel ini berpotensi menjadi model inspiratif untuk daerah-daerah lain yang menghadapi tantangan serupa dalam upaya meningkatkan pendidikan dan kesejahteraan anak-anak dan masyarakat lokal.

Abstract

Pandanus tectorius in certain areas has the potential to be utilized in the handicraft industry because it is known to have good and strong fiber. However, there are still many coastal areas in Indonesia that have not utilized P. tectorius optimally. The purpose of this study is to see the potential of P. tectorius fiber can be used as a non-food industry material towards sustainable development. The method used in this study is a laboratory experiment with a qualitative descriptive approach that uses different variations in NaOH concentrations, namely 0% (control), 2.5%, 5% and 7.5%. Research data was obtained from fiber tests in the laboratory which included fineness, tenacity, and elongation tests. The laboratory test results showed that P. tectorius fiber in NaOH treatment was 5% more optimal than NaOH treatment 0% (Control), 2.5% and 7.5% with an average fineness value of 2529.16 Tex, an extended value of 15.11%, a tenacity value of 153.71 (mN/Tex) and 15.68 (gf/Tex). Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that P. tectorius has good characteristics used as a non-food industry material, so that by utilizing the potential of P. tectorius fiber is a creative industry towards sustainable development

Abstract

Kawasan Habaring Hurung merupakan bagian wilayah Taman Nasional Sebangau Kalimantan Tengah. Pada kawasan hutan Habaring Hurung terdapat lokasi ternaung dan terdedah akibat kebakaran hutan. Perbedaan naungan pada lokasi tersebut mengakibatkan perbedaan spesies yang tumbuh di kedua lokasi. Oleh karena itu tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi tumbuhan paku yang hidup di biotop terdedah dan biotop ternaung di kawasan Habaring Hurung Palangka Raya. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Mei 2024. Penentuan lokasi pengambilan data dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling dengan jumlah 22 plot berukuran 10 x 10m yang terdiri dari 11 plot lingkungan ternaung dan 11 plot dilingkungan terdedah.Tumbuhan paku yang didapatkan kemudian diidentifikasi menggunakan buku referensi dan media internet dengan membandingkan ciri morfologinyan. Hasil penelitian menujukkan di hutan Habaring Hurung terdapat 4 Ordo, 4 Famili dan 4 genus tumbuhan paku dengan 7 spesies berbeda. Terdapat 4 jenis paku yang berada di biotop ternaung yaitu Stenochlaena palustris, Gleichenia linearis, Nephrolepis bisserata, Nephrolepsis falcata dan 5 jenis tumbuhan paku pada biotop terdedah yaitu, Stenochlaena palustris, Pteris vittata L, Pteris semipinnata L, Nephrolepis exaltata Schoot, Nephrolepsis falcata. Jenis tumbuhan paku Stenochlaena palustris dan Nephrolepsis falcata terdapat dikedua biotop ternaung dan terdedah. Tumbuhan paku memiliki kemampuan hidup di biotop ternaung maupun terdedah tergantung dari toleransi faktor abiotik dan biotik masing-masing jenis. Tumbuhan paku dengan manfaat sebagai sayuran dan tanaman hias dapat di budidayakan dan dikembangkan potensinya agar memiliki nilai ekonomi yang tinggi.

Abstract

The global shift toward healthy lifestyles has accelerated the development of functional beverages that not only provide basic nutrition but also deliver additional physiological benefits. Fruit-based beverages are widely consumed due to their sensory appeal; however, many commercial products remain high in sugar while lacking sufficient protein and essential micronutrients. Therefore, integrating nutrient-dense natural ingredients such as Spirulina into fruit-based smoothies represents a promising scientific approach to enhance nutritional quality and functional value.This study aimed to develop a mango–Spirulina smoothie as a modern functional beverage and to evaluate consumer acceptance of its sensory attributes. A descriptive qualitative approach was applied. Spirulina sp. was cultivated in the Aquatic Biota Cultivation Laboratory, while smoothie formulation was conducted in the Entrepreneurship Laboratory of Universitas Islam Negeri Palangka Raya. Organoleptic and consumer acceptance tests were carried out with 30 respondents, assessing color, taste, texture, aroma, and overall preference. The results showed that the smoothie exhibited a slightly green color (90%), sweet taste (100%), and smooth texture (90%). Although aroma acceptance was relatively low, with 47% of respondents rating it as not fragrant, overall consumer acceptance was high, with 73% indicating “like” and 27% “very like.” In conclusion, the mango–Spirulina smoothie demonstrates strong potential as a modern functional beverage with good sensory acceptance and prospects for development within the creative economy. Further studies are recommended to improve aroma quality and to conduct quantitative nutritional analysis to support product commercialization.
