Abstract

The historical foundation of education in Indonesia is a crucial element in understanding the development and dynamics of the national education system. This article aims to review the literature related to the history of education in Indonesia, covering the evolution of thought, policies, and practices over time. Using a systematic literature review approach, the article provides an in-depth analysis of theories, social contexts, and political influences that have shaped education in Indonesia. Emphasis is placed on how the education system has evolved to address local and global challenges.

Abstract

Environmental sustainability has become a major concern for businesses, particularly MSMEs, to adopt environmentally friendly business practices. This study aims to analyze the influence of Green Entrepreneurial Orientation (GEO) on Sustainable Innovation Performance (SIP), with Green Innovation Culture (GIC) as a mediator in MSMEs in the Yogyakarta region. This study used a quantitative approach, with data collected from 200 MSMEs from various business sectors using a structured questionnaire. Data testing was conducted using SEM-PLS. The results showed that GEO had a positive and significant effect on SIP with a p-value of 0.000 and GIC with a p-value of 0.000. Furthermore, GIC was shown to positively mediate the relationship between GEO and SIP with a p-value of 0.002. These findings emphasize the importance of implementing GIC for MSMEs in strengthening the role of GEO in achieving MSME SIP, while also contributing theoretically.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the implementation of Sustainable Supply Chain Management Practices (SSCMP) in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), which are important contributors to economic development but are still limited in their implementation. Through exploring the role of Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) as a mediating and moderating variable in improving MSME Sustainable Performance (SP). This study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of how effective SCRM implementation can significantly affect MSME performance and sustainability. This study adopts a quantitative approach, building on previous studies to formulate hypotheses and conceptual frameworks, and adding a new variable, SCRM. Exploratory Factor Analysis was conducted to align the indicators with the specific conditions of MSMEs in Indonesia. Data were collected from 152 MSMEs in various sectors and processed using SEM-PLS to evaluate the proposed model and test the hypotheses. The findings reveal that SSCMP has a significant positive impact on SP and SCRM. SCRM was found to have a significant positive influence on SP, as well as a significant mediating role in the relationship between SSCMP and SP, thus enhancing the positive impact of SSCMP on performance. Other findings indicate that SCRM does not act as a moderating variable in the relationship between SSCMP and SP, indicating that its influence is more mediating than interactive. This study contributes theoretically by showing that SSCMP positively influences SP and SCRM, with SCRM acting as a significant mediator, but fails to support its role as a moderator in the relationship.

Abstract

This activity introduces entrepreneurship to children and adolescents at Maahad Tahfiz Anak Yatim Darul Fuqaha, Kajang, Selangor, Malaysia. With an interactive one-day training, participants are expected to develop a creative and optimistic entrepreneurial spirit. The material is delivered through simple storytelling, accompanied by icebreaking and questions and answers, thus triggering the participants' enthusiasm. As a result, the training succeeded in increasing the understanding and motivation of participants regarding the importance of entrepreneurship for future independence. However, it was found that children need continuous assistance to empower themselves optimally.The main challenge is to involve the role of adult companions, such as teachers or caretakers of the orphanage, to guide children to develop creativity and self-motivation. This training instills self-empowerment, a creative mindset, and a spirit of independent living. Through this training, children realize that the limitations of living in an orphanage are not a barrier to development. The focus is changing the mindset from job seekers to business opportunity creators. The implications of this activity include improving the quality of life of participants and the potential for scientific publications to share the results of the training with the broader community.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of supply chain integration, comprising internal, supplier, and customer integration, on operational performance, with product innovation capability as a mediating variable, in Indonesian apparel SMEs. Using a quantitative approach, survey data were collected from 151 respondents selected through purposive sampling and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). The results reveal that all three dimensions of supply chain integration positively and significantly enhance product innovation capability, which in turn strongly improves operational performance. Furthermore, product innovation capability mediates the relationship between each integration dimension and operational performance, underscoring its role as a strategic link between supply chain coordination and performance outcomes. The findings contribute to the literature by integrating the dynamic capability perspective into the supply chain innovation performance nexus and highlight the need for SMEs to strengthen both integration and innovation capabilities to achieve operational excellence and competitiveness. Practical implications and recommendations for future research are also discussed.

Abstract

This study analyzes the procurement business process within the Supply Management Department of PT Pamapersada Nusantara (PAMA) as a strategic function supporting supply chain effectiveness and operational sustainability. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach through direct observation during an internship, in-depth interviews with internal stakeholders, and document analysis, including supplier evaluation reports and procurement monitoring results. The analysis covers process mapping, system effectiveness, and supplier performance evaluation using weighted indicators such as delivery time, on-time supply, overdue, discrepancy, and quality, which are compiled into a final score for supplier categorization. Findings reveal that the procurement process is supported by an integrated ERP system (SAP), yet several issues remain, including manual approval delays, late deliveries from certain suppliers, and limited automation in warehouse stock monitoring that reduces real-time visibility. Comparative assessment of two main suppliers, PT Paradhiya Ista and PT Wahana, shows significant performance gaps, with PT Paradhiya Ista achieving 95 percent on-time delivery, while PT Wahana faces discrepancy and overdue challenges. Root cause analysis identifies key inefficiencies stemming from weak interdepartmental integration, poor communication, and a lack of data-driven evaluations. The study recommends improvements to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and reliability in procurement operations.
