Abstract

Limbah cair tahu memiliki kandungan bahan organik yang tinggi, sehingga dapat memicu terjadinya penurunan kualitas perairan. Simbiosis alga bakteri adalah teknologi alternatif yang menjadi solusi dalam pengolahan air limbah. Rotary Algae Biofilm Reactor (RABR) diidentifikasi sebagai bioreaktor alternatif untuk pengolahan air limbah industri dengan kombinasi sistem suspended growth dan attached growth pada media disk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari pengaruh kecepatan putaran disk dan waktu kontak pada proses RABR untuk penurunan kadar organik BOD dan COD. Penelitian dilakukan dengan memvariasikan kecepatan putaran yaitu 3 rpm, 5 rpm, dan 7 rpm serta waktu kontak 0, 1, 3, dan 5 hari untuk menyisihkan parameter BOD dan COD pada limbah cair tahu. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan efisiensi tertinggi selama proses pengolahan dalam menyisihkan parameter yaitu pada variasi kecepatan putaran disk 7 rpm di hari ke-5, dengan efisiensi penyisihan BOD 73,42% dengan konsentrasi awal 737,4 menjadi 196 mg/L dan COD 70,64% dengan  konsentrasi awal 981 mg/L menjadi 288 mg/L.

Abstract

Operasional PLTU Tembilahan menghasilkan emisi SO2 dan NO2 yang memberikan dampak terhadap lingkungan maupun kesehatan manusia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memetakan pola sebaran SO2 dan NO2 yang dihasilkan dari cerobong PLTU Tembilahan menggunakan software AERMOD, membandingkan konsentrasi gas SO2 dan NO2 dengan baku mutu udara ambien berdasarkan Peraturan Pemerintah No. 41 Tahun 1999, dan membandingkan hasil simulasi antara musim hujan dan musim kemarau. Pemodelan dilakukan menggunakan data meteorologi 1 tahun dengan pembagian musim hujan dan musim kemarau. Hasil pemodelan menunjukkan pola sebaran polutan dari PLTU Tembilahan cenderung mengarah ke barat daya. Konsentrasi SO2 dan NO2 pertahun adalah sebesar 75,18 µg/m3 dan 43,53 µg/m3 yang masih berada dibawah baku mutu yang telah ditetapkan. Dispersi polutan SO2 dan NO2 pada musim kemarau cakupan luas konsentrasinya lebih sedikit dibandingkan pada musim hujan.

Abstract

Bagan Sinembah Subdistrict is one area that has the potential to produce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from transportation activities in Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau. This research was conducted to determine CO2 emissions generated from transportation activities for a week. The method used is recording traffic activities to calculate CO2 emissions. The results of the research obtained are, carbon dioxide emissions from transportation activities in the sub-district of the Sinembah chart, namely 18,812,434 tons CO2 / year.Keywords: Carbon Dioxide Emissions, Bagan Sinembah Subdistrict.

Abstract

Profenofos an organophosphate insecticide, has been widely used for control insect pests. Bioremediation is one of the treatments to reduce residue of profenofos in soil . This result aims to know the profenofos bioremediation abilities of Streptomyces sp. in soil sample and to know the efficiency of profenofos degrading in variation factors of Streptomyces sp and compare with the quality standards of Department of Environment and Conservation regulation. The fixed variable used in this study is initial concentration of profenofos is 100 mg/kg soil, aerated every 7 days, and added distilated water every 14 days. The changeable variable used different concentration of Streptomyces sp. consists of variations in soil was 0 ml/kg (control), 10 ml/kg, 20 ml/kg . Based on the results of the research after 21 days incubation, Streptomyces sp. abled to remove profenofos in soil and the maximum degradation efficiency was added 20 ml/kg Streptomyces sp. in soil which was 96.21 % . For others efficiency was 95.759 % which added 10 ml/kg and 93.54 % as control.Keywords: Pesticide, Profenofos, degradation, bioremediation, Streptomyces sp.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the use of LPG household fuels in WP IV Pekanbaru City.Random sampling method. Total sample is 268 families. This study uses descriptive analysis that contains secondary data, study of literature, and primary data. Abstract

The production process at PT. Lembah Karet which processes raw rubber into crumb rubber is divided into wet and dry production stages. Which in the production process produces noise from the use of machines. Noise arising from the use of machines unwittingly will cause disruption of bodily functions in workers, especially in hearing loss. The purpose of this research is to know the intensity of noise resulting from the use of machines, noise mapping, evaluation of noise intensity, exposure time and noise control efforts. In this research measurements of temperature, wind speed and noise intensity using a Sound Level Meter (SLM). Abstract

Bioremediation has the potential to be one method in the removal process of organic compounds with initial BOD and COD content of 165.1 mg/L and 5336 mg/L. Utilization of Bacillus sp. in the bioremediation process has a more effective elimination ability where Bacillus sp. have properties such as having a wide range of growth temperatures, forming spores, resistant to antiseptic compounds, are aerobic or facultative anaerobes and do not require relatively expensive growth factors. This study aims to the effect of variations in the medium of growth of Bacillus sp. in port surface water in setting aside the content of BOD, COD, Oil and fat in aerobic processes with contact times of 0, 1, 3, 5 and 7 days. This research was conducted with the Batch Reactor system with a working volume of 8 liters and variations in the medium of Nutrient Broth (NB) bacteria 2 ml, 4 ml, and 8 ml (v / v). The results showed that the highest rate and efficiency of COD removal occurred in the 8 ml bacterial NB medium with 90% removal efficiency. The highest BOD removal efficiency was found in 2 ml bacterial NB medium reactor with removal efficiency of 80% and the highest oil and fat removal efficiency occurred in 8 ml bacterial NB medium with allowance efficiency reaching 88.27%.Keywords: Bioremediation, Port Surface Water, Bacillus sp.

Abstract

One of the decreases in environmental quality is caused by pollution of carbon dioxide (CO2) from transportation activities. Pasir Pengaraian City is one of the cities that has potential as a producer of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from transportation activities in Riau Province. One effort to reduce the concentration of CO2 in urban air is by applying the concept of green area or better known as green open space (GOS). This study aims to determine the number of motorized vehicles from transportation activities in the city of Pasir Pengaraian. The method used, which is recording traffic activities to calculate the amount of CO2 emissions. the results showed that the number of densest vehicles for arterial and collector roads occurred on Sunday with a total of 16,886 vehicles / day for arterial roads and 10,883 vehicles / day for collector roads, whereas for local roads, the number of densest vehicles occurred on Monday, with the number of vehicles is 3,392 vehicles / day.Keywords: Motorized Vehicles, Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Pasir Pengaraian City

Abstract

Ruang Terbuka Hijau (RTH) merupakan salah satu upaya penanganan terhadap meningkatnya emisi Gas Rumah Kaca (GRK) karena memiliki kemampuan dalam menyerap emisi karbondioksida (CO2).  Kegiatan transportasi di Kota Pekanbaru sebagai ibukota Provinsi Riau berpotensi menghasilkan emisi seiring meningkatnya pertumbahan penduduk dan perekenomian kota. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kecukupan kemampuan daya serap RTH terhadap emisi CO2 yang dihasilkan kendaraan bermotor dari kegiatan transportasi di Kota Pekanbaru. Metode yang digunakan yaitu melakukan traffic counting untuk menghitung jumlah kendaraan, emisi CO2 dan menghitung seluruh RTH publik dengan jenis tutupan vegetasi berupa padang rumput dan pohon yang memiliki diameter lebih dari 20 cm, serta menghitung persentasi daya serap RTH. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan jumlah nilai emisi CO2 terbesar pada hari minggu, yaitu sebesar 177,104 ton CO2/hari. Estimasi emisi CO2  total dari sektor transportasi darat di Kota Pekanbaru adalah sebesar 57.595,23 ton CO2 /tahun. Total kemampuan daya serap CO2 oleh RTH diperoleh sebesar 29.013,30 ton/tahun dengan persentase penyerapan sebesar 50,56%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa RTH eksisting yang terdapat di Kota Pekanbaru belum memenuhi dalam menyerap emisi CO2 dari kegiatan transportasi.
