Abstract

The green open space is one of an effort in order to handling of the increasing the greenhouse gas emission, because green open space has an ability to absorbing the CO2 emission. The purpose of this research is to find out the potential of absorption capacity of CO2 by the public’s green open space and to analyze the level of absorption of CO2 by green open space from transportation activity. The method in this research is calculate the value of CO2 emissions and counting the trees which has diameters more than 20 centimeter. The sufficiency of green open space was analyze and then compared the absorbing power of CO2 by trees with number of CO2 emissions that produced. Tampan district is produced the CO2 emissions from transportation which is high enough as much as 2.102.614.367 kilograms CO2/year. While the ability of CO2 absorption by the public’s green open space in Tampan district only 7.979.245,86 kilograms CO2/year. The result of analysis show that the public’s green open space in Tampan district that viewed from absorbing CO2 emissions of transportation is still not enough with percentage is only about 0,38%.Keywords: Green Open Space, Co2 Emissions, and Greenhouse Gas

Abstract

Tampan District doesn’t have a facility construction faecal sludge treatment plan so that the septic tank draining directly discharges to open lands. Based on Permen PU No. 01/PRT/M/2014 Tampan District already complete the minimum services standards of a faecal sludge treatment plan was planned to solve the faecal sludge problem in four subdistrict in Tampan District. Processing system that is applied is physically processing by sludge seperation chamber (SSC) to separate solids from faecal sludge at the beginning of processing, SSC are provided 4 bath processing efficiency for BOD 35% and TSS 85%. Subsequent processing in biology by the 2 units of anaerobic baffle reactor (ABR) each of which consists of five compartments, 2 units ABR processing efficiency for BOD 95% and 85%, TSS is 85% and 80%. the Characteristics of faecal sludge before processing BOD 6,400 mg/l and TSS 29,900 mg/l. t Effluents water from the faecal sludge processing already met the standard based on Permen LH No. 5 in 2014 with a value of BOD 36 mg / liter and the value of TSS 155 mg / liter.Keywords: Subdistrict Tampan, Faecal Sludge, IPLT, Sludge Separation Chamber (SSC), Anaerobic Baffle Reactor (ABR).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the use of LPG household fuels in WP II dan WP III Pekanbaru city. Random sampling method. total sample is 267 families. this study uses descriptive analysis that contains secondary data, study of literature, and primary data. WP II and WP III Pekanbaru City that use LPG fuel respectively at 99% and 98%. While the rest uses fuel other than LPG in WP II, which is 1% and WP III is 2%.Keywords: Use of household LPG, LPG, and Household

Abstract

Development Region I is an area that has the potential to be producer of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from transportation activities in Pekanbaru City. This research was conducted to find out the number of motorized vehicles and the value of CO2 emissions produced every day and the value of absorption ability in Development Area I from CO2 emissions transportation activities. The method used is recording traffic activities to calculate the value of number of motorized vehicles. The results of the research, obtained the number of motorized vehicles of CO2 emissions on Development Region I which has 60.333 motorized. Keywords : Carbon Dioxide Emissions,Development Region I

Abstract

Treatment of palm oil mill effluent still leaves a lot of challenges in terms of both technology and quality standards. Therefore, we need a wastewater treatment system that can provide optimal results in processing and controlling the environmental impact of waste that can be reduced. Phytoremediation is a method of alternative technologies need to be developed to address these challenges. This study aims to determined the pollutant removal efficiency parameters BOD in the palm oil mill effluent, study the influence of variations in plant density, waste content variation, and variation of the residence time of the wastewater treatment efficiency of phytoremediation method. Compare the results of treatment of palm oil mill effluent by phytoremediation method using Typha latifolia with effluent standards for palm oil mill based on the Keputusan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup Nomor 51 Tahun 1995. This research used reactor phytoremediation the size of 50cm x 36cm x 31cm, thickness 10cm soil media, media thickness 5cm sand and gravel media 5cm thick with research variables include plant density variations Typha latifolia (0,5g/cm2; 0,75g/cm2; dan 1g/cm2), variations in the levels of palm oil effluent (20%; 60%; dan 100%), and variation of the residence time ( 5 days and 9 days ). The results showed that the highest efficiency is on density variations in plant 1 g/cm2 , 20% waste concentration, and residence time of 9 days with BOD 97,33 %. Abstract

The area of the Terminal payung sekaki in the future directed by function area of Commerce (business), the ground transportation center and the main entrance gate Pekanbaru city by land for the constellation of the most prestigious regional and city of Pekanbaru in particular. Land conversion happens on the open land into developed regions an impact on the improvement of storm water runoff and impairment infiltration or water storage amount that goes into the ground. Eco drainage is drainage infrastructure of urban areas where rainfall runoff is not directly channeled water receiver but accommodated in the retention pond to provide sufficient time for the water to seep into the ground. Retention pond is designed not only as flood control but also as a place of recreation for the park to be combined with increasing the area of green open space and improve the esthetic value of theenvironment. The completion of this study using EPA SWMM 5.0 assistance program to analyze the suitability of the drainage capacities to cope with the flood problem. The results showed that the problem of flooding due to the capacity of the existing channel with a dimension of 1x1 m not in accordance with the conditions of rain and runoff into drainage capacities with a value of 1.0 or 100% has been filled with runoff that goes into the drainage. Simulation repairs done by using the channel dimensions 2x2 m still not able to cope with the recent flooding. The capacity of the existing line with the percentage Impervius undeveloped land with a value of 85%, 60% and 2% can be maximized by the addition of the retention pond with an area of 2 hectares and a depth of 2 m as well as changes in the dimensions of the channel just upstream (3x3m) and downstream (2x2m) into alternative solutions to problems ofurban flooding in the region. The capacity of drainage channels and retention ponds planned until the 20 years in the future development of the city of pekanbaru RTRW according to changes in the percentages of land be impervius 95% still holds a runoff into drainage channels so that the problem of flooding in the area of AKAP Subdistrict payung sekali can be resolvedKeyword : Flooding, Eco drainage, Retention Ponds , EPA SWMM 5,0

Abstract

Noise is one of environmental problem that should be given an attention, because noise with high intensity can cause negative impacts to human’s health, comfort and psychology. Noise in school or campus area can interfere with process of teachingand learning. The purpose of this research is to analyze noise level at Faculty of Medicine UR and provide solutions to control the noise in that area. The procedure of noise measurement was done according to the regulation of Minister of Environment No. 48 1996 attachment II about Measurement Method. The measurement and evaluation of environment noise level used Sound Level Meter in13 spots for 2 days (weekend and weekday). The result shows, maximum noise occurred on Sunday at spot number 1 with 89.1 dB noise level. Primary source of the noise came from traffic activity. This is shown by the result of noise measurement of89.1 from 6664 vehicles that passed by spot number 1 on Sunday and 83.3 dB from 6264 vehicles passed by spot number 1 on Monday. This research recommends noisecontrol solutions by substitution control, technical control and administrative control.Keywords: Noise, Sound Level Meter, LSM

Abstract

The sources of noise often can be found at campus, and which one of the noise source is the activity on the spare time. Which is noise level was as big as the level of noise from the laboratory, an electric generator, and the sound of thesurrounding road caused by vehicles. This study aim is to analyze the level of noise University of Riau. The noise datas measured in 2 days during 24 hours each day to quantify the noise level during the day (Ls) for 16 hours and nighttime noise level (Lm) for 8 hours. These measurements were done on Monday andSunday. From the noise datas were be calculated, it can quantified the value of Leq (24 Hours), the value of the noise level during the day (Ls), and the nighttime noise level (Lm) and the day-night noise level (Lsm) on Monday and Sunday. The value of the highest day-night noise level was held on Monday which is at 97.1 dB(A) and a lowest noise level was on Sunday on 60.7 dB (A). That noise intensity exceeds the intensity standard of the noise level according to the Decree of the Minister of Environment number 48 in 1996 which is 55 dB (A).Keywords: Noise Level, Learning Activity, Noise Measurement.

Abstract

Tingginya tingkat mobilisasi dan perkembangan Pekanbaru menuju kota metropolitan beberapa tahun belakangan berhubungan langsung dengan pertumbuhan aktivitas transportasi, termasuk tranportasi udara. Bandara Sultan Syarif Kasim II menjadi bandara internasional mengakibatkan aktivitas bandara yang semakin tinggi. Aktivitas bandara Sultan Syarif Kasim II Pekanbaru berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kebisingan dikawasan Bandara, sehingga diperlukan penelitian tentang kebisingan akibat aktivitas pesawat terbang. Perhitungan tingkat kebisingan sesuai dengan Keputusan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup No. 48 tahun 1996 dan Keputusan Menteri Tenaga Kerja No. 51 tahun 1999. Perhitungan menunjukkan Tingkat kebisingan tertinggi di kawasan Bandara Internasional Sultan Syarif Kasim II berada di landasan pacu selatan yaitu 88,63 dBA, sedangkan tingkat kebisingan terendah berada pada titik apron timur yaitu 77,72 dBa. Hasil perhitungan diketahui bahwa lama bekerja paling singkat berada di landasan pacu selatan, maksimal bekerja yang diperbolehkan pada daerah tersebut hanya 3,46 jam. Maksimal bekerja terlama di apron timur selama 43,05 jam. Oleh karena itu pekerja disekitar daerah yang memiliki kebisingan yang tinggi harus menggunakan Alat pelindung diri untuk mengurangi dampak kebisingan yang dihasilkan dari aktivitas Bandara

Abstract

Tingginya tingkat kepadatan penduduk di Kelurahan Limbungan Baru memiliki potensi sebagai salah satu penyumbang emisi CO2 ke atmosfer. Emisi CO2 dari aktifitas rumah tangga dibagi menjadi emisi CO2 primer dan sekunder. Emisi CO2 primer berasal dari penggunaan bahan bakar di rumah tangga, sedangkan adalah emisi CO2 sekunder yang dihasilkan dari penggunaan alat-alat listrik di rumah tangga. Data primer diperoleh dari survey dengan melibatkan 98 responden dan data sekunder yaitu peta wilayah, data demografi, dan data daya listrik. Variabel penelitian ini yaitu jumlah bahan bakar LPG dan minyak tanah, dan daya listrik yang terpasang di rumah tersebut. Perhitungan emisi CO2 dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode IPCC 2006. Total emisi CO2 dari kegiatan rumah tangga di Kelurahan Limbungan Baru adalah sebesar 2.194,614 ton CO2/bulan, dimana emisi CO2 primer adalah sebesar 185,535 ton CO2/bulan dan emisi CO2 sekunder adalah sebesar 2.009,089 ton CO2/bulan.
