Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the strategies used by Islamic Education teachers in managing differentiated learning and its impacts on students’ learning motivation at Az-Zahra Islamic Elementary School, Palembang. Using a qualitative case study design, the research involved six Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers and students from grades 1 to 6. Data were analyzed using Miles, Huberman, and Saldana’s interactive model, which consists of three cyclical stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. This model was selected because it enables continuous interaction between the researcher and the data, allowing emerging patterns to be refined throughout the analysis process. The findings revealed that IRE teachers implemented differentiated learning through four main strategies: differentiation of content, process, product, and learning environment, each aligned with diagnostic assessment results. Teachers adapted instructional materials to address students’ diverse needs, designed varied learning activities, and developed lesson plans, modules, worksheets, and assessments that accommodated individual differences. The learning environment was also extended beyond the classroom through outdoor and experiential activities that reduced fatigue and enhanced engagement. Collectively, these practices fostered an inclusive and student-centered atmosphere that enhanced intrinsic motivation, active participation, perseverance, and self-confidence. Furthermore, the results indicated a significant overall improvement in students’ learning motivation, as reflected in their enthusiasm during class activities, willingness to ask questions, and independent efforts to understand the material beyond classroom sessions.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the development process, feasibility, and practicality of a teaching material in the form of a Pancasila education e-book based on local wisdom of Musi Banyuasin for fourth-grade students at MI Nurul Huda Karang Rejo. The background of this research is the importance of instilling Pancasila values through a contextual approach that is closely related to students' socio- cultural environment. The method used is research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: (1) analyzing student needs and curriculum; (2) designing an e-book that integrates Pancasila values with local wisdom; (3) developing content and interactive media; (4) implementing it in the learning process; and (5) evaluating the quality and effectiveness of the e-book. The results of the study show that: (1) the development process was carried out systematically, starting from data collection, material design, to the creation of contextual and engaging media; (2) expert validation results indicate that the e- book is feasible, with an average score of 84% in terms of content, language, and media; and (3) the practicality test results show that the e-book is easy to use and well-received, with a score of 94% from teachers and 84% from students. Thus, the e-book is considered a suitable alternative teaching material that can strengthen the understanding of Pancasila values in a contextual, interactive, and enjoyable way. This e-book also represents an innovation in learning by integrating educational technology with local wisdom.

Abstract

This research is based on the low level of students' understanding of the concept of Pancasila education, as indicated by the lack of active participation and in-depth comprehension of the concepts of Pancasila education. The aim of this study is to describe the implementation of the Think Pair Share learning model in improving the understanding of Pancasila education concepts among fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 233 Palembang. The research method used is qualitative descriptive, with a phenomenological approach in which the researcher explores the meaning of individual or group experiences through observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews, aiming to understand and explore the subjective meaning of individuals' experiences regarding a phenomenon. The research subjects were 26 students of class IV.A. The instruments used included observation sheets, concept understanding tests, and documentation. The results of the study showed that the implementation of the Think Pair Share learning model can improve students' conceptual understanding, where most students have achieved the learning objectives. In addition, the Think Pair Share model is also able to enhance students' participation and collaborative learning activities. Thus, the Think Pair Share learning model is effective to be implemented in Pancasila education learning to improve conceptual understanding among elementary school students.
