Abstract

Stunting remains a significant public health challenge in Indonesia, especially in rural areas with limited access to nutrition and sanitation. This community service activity aims to provide residents of Tosale Village, Donggala Regency, with knowledge about stunting prevention and the importance of environmental hygiene through a participatory educational approach. The implementation methods included field observations, stunting discussions, installation of educational visual media, as well as mutual cooperation activities and the cultivation of medicinal plants and vegetables. The results of the activity showed an increase in community understanding of balanced nutrition, clean and healthy lifestyles, the cultivation of medicinal plants and vegetables, and the revival of a culture of mutual cooperation. The stunting discussion forum served as a platform to encourage cross-community participation in the village, while visual media strengthened health literacy through easily understandable messages. Overall, this activity demonstrated that a participatory approach can increase collective awareness and preventive behavior against stunting while strengthening the independence of village communities in creating a sustainable healthy environment.

Abstract

The Maternal and Child Health (KIA) program in Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi Province, requires a comprehensive evaluation to ensure the effectiveness and sustainability of health interventions. This qualitative literature review aims to examine appropriate evaluation methods for the KIA program through an analysis of scientific literature. Literature was collected using keywords such as "evaluation methods," "maternal and child health program," and "Sigi Regency," focusing on publications from the last 10 years. Deductive content analysis identified relevant evaluation methods: technology-based information systems, community education through the KIA Handbook, improving healthcare workers' performance through training and operational funding, enhancing the quality of antenatal services, inter-agency collaboration, and formal evaluation models such as CIPP and the logic model approach. Key challenges include limited technological infrastructure, uneven distribution of healthcare workers, and lack of inter-agency coordination. This study recommends an integrated approach combining technology, education, human resources, service quality, and cross-sector collaboration to optimize the KIA program in Sigi. Future field research is needed to validate findings and formulate specific policies.

Public health services face various complex challenges such as limited human and financial resources, fragmentation of health information systems, and policy dynamics and accreditation requirements. These conditions require adaptive organizational capacity and a focus on continuous learning to maintain consistent service quality. This study aims to analyze (1) implementation characteristics, (2) enablers and barriers to implementation, and (3) the impact on organizational performance and service quality. This study is a descriptive literature review using data from Google Scholar with the keyword “learning organization.” The study includes open-access, full-text, English-language articles indexed in Scopus that were filtered using the Rapid Journal Quality Check tool and published between 2021 and 2025 in the field of health. A total of 26 articles meeting these criteria were analyzed using a thematic analysis approach with the SciSpace tool. LO implementation is characterized by continuous learning processes at the individual and team levels, data-based reflection, and knowledge-sharing systems between organizational units.
