Abstract

Intisari— Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memilih jenis kain yang layak untuk lapisan luar dan lapisan dalam tas kotak makan. Pemilihan jenis kain yang tepat berperan penting dalam mendukung kenyamanan penggunaan dari kotak makan, terutama ketika berpergian. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan metode Weighted Product (WP) dan Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) dengan meneliti kepentingan beberapa kriteria tas kotak makan dengan penjual kain, penjahit kain, dan penjahit tas di Kota Medan yang menjadi subjek penelitian. Hasil penelitian berperan sebagai rekomendasi bagi penjahit tas ketika ingin memproduksi tas kotak makan. Berdasarkan hasil analisa dengan metode WP, maka dapat disarankan pemilihan untuk jenis kain polyester sebagai lapisan luar dan kain spunbound sebagai lapisan dalam. Berdasarkan hasil analisa dengan penggunaan metode TOPSIS, maka dapat disarankan pemilihan jenis kain untuk lapisan dalam menggunakan kain spunbound, dan untuk lapisan luar menggunakan jenis kain oxford. Abstract— This study aims to select the appropriate type of fabric for the outer and inner layers of lunch box bags. The selection of the right type of fabric plays an important role in supporting the comfortable use of the lunch box, especially when traveling. This study uses the Weighted Product (WP) method and the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) by examining the importance of several criteria for lunchbox bags with cloth sellers, cloth tailors, and bag tailors in Medan City who are the research subjects. The results of the study serve as recommendations for bag tailors when they want to produce lunch box bags. Based on the results of the analysis using the WP method, it can be recommended to choose the type of polyester fabric as the outer layer and spunbound fabric as the inner layer. Based on the results of the analysis using the TOPSIS method, it can be recommended to choose the type of fabric for the inner layer using spunbound fabric, and for the outer layer using oxford fabric.

Abstract

Prototype merupakan gambaran alat dari suatu produk yang akan dirancang atau dikembangkan dengan cara kerja serta fungsi sesuai produk tersebut. Dalam proses pembuatan prototype dari Untouchable Door Handle akan memafaatkan infrared temperature sensor sebagai kunci untuk membuka pintu dari luar tanpa harus disentuh. Menentukan jenis infrared temperature sensor yang tepat untuk digunakan pada prototype menjadi suatu hal penting dikarenakan jenis sensor akan mempengaruhi ketepatan dan kecepatan sensor dalam membaca suhu dan juga mempengaruhi pengeluaran biaya dalam pembuatan prototype. Pemilihan jenis infrared temperature sensor dilakukan dengan menerapkan Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) menggunakan metode SAW dan TOPSIS. Metode SAW merupakan metode penjumlahan berbobot. Sedangkan TOPSIS merupakan metode yang membandingkan jarak solusi ideal negatif dan positif. Pemilihan infrared temperature sensor dilakukan dengan mempertimbangkan 4 kriteria dengan tujuan mendapatkan alternatif terbaik berdasarkan atas kriteria yang ada tersebut. Hasil perhitungan SAW menunjukkan bahwa sensor MLX90614 Infrared Sensor sebagai peringkat 1 dengan nilai Vi sebesar 0.7625. Sedangkan hasil perhitungan TOPSIS mendapatkan bahwa sensor MLX90614 Infrared Sensor sebagai peringkat 1 dengan nilai Vi sebesar 0.503

Abstract

Del Institute of Technology has Laboratorium Desain Produk (Lab Desprin) that based on additive manufacturing and 3D printer facilities. In its operation, the 3D printer uses acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) filament raw materials, polycarbonate (PC), polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), nylon, Poly Lactic Acid (PLA), Polyethylene (PE), Polypropylene (PP), and Investation Casting Wax. . The remaining filament and 3D printer printouts from the practical process require storage space in the laboratory. The material that makes up this filament itself is difficult to decompose by nature and has the potential to become harmful waste. This study aims to design a safe and practical 3D printer waste material chopper to recycle the remaining filament and 3D Printer printing results. With the Axiomatic House of Quality (AHOQ) method, the customer requirements for the enumerator are obtained, namely the appropriate size of the chop, has an indicator that it is on or not, safe in operation, not noisy, easy to move, and saves electricity. To meet this requirement, a waste chopper has been designed with specifications that it has a filter with a size that is adjusted to the desired chopping size, a cover on the material input channel as a security function and reduces noise, and uses a bicycle as a source of motion and saving electricity. The working system of the tool is a chopper tool by utilizing mechanical motion by rowing a bicycle as a source of motion for the chopper blade. This designed tool has been successfully built with the ability to chop materials with a thickness of > 15 mm and a noise level of less than 85 dB.

Abstract

Pabrik tahu Pak Udin dan Pak Joko adalah pabrik pembuat tahu yang seluruh proses dilakukan secara manual, khususnya di bagian pemindahan sari kedelai dari bak rebus ke bak saring. Berat beban yang diangkat adalah ± 30 kg dengan suhu 85-90oC dan repetisi sebanyak 30 kali. Hal tersebut melebihi batas angkat yang di tetapkan oleh NIOSH yaitu 24.5 Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan perbaikan proses dengan menerapkan proses terintegrasi pada bak perebusan dan bakpenyaringan agar dapat mengeliminasi proses angkat dan meningkatkan efesiensi waktu dengan menggunakan metode Ovako Work Analysis System, Antropometri dengan postur kerja berdiri dan jam henti. Hasil data OWAS meenunjukkan bahwa postur tubuh pengangkatan air rebus kedelai berbahaya bagi kesehatan dan keselamatan pekerja (nilai OWAS yang diperoleh 3,5). Selanjutnya desain dikembangkan dengan mengintegrasikan stasiun bak perebusan dan penyaringan menggunakan mesin pompa dan pipa penghubung sehingga nilai OWAS menjadi nilai 1 yang berarti tidak ada masalah pada postur akhir. Untuk dimensi antropometri yang digunakan adalah Tinggi bahu berdiri 136,4 cm untuk tinggi keran output, tinggi mata berdiri 148,8 untuk tinggi sakelar mesin, dan jangkauan tangan kedepan untuk jarak keran input. Waktu siklus yang awal dan setelah perancangan adalah 4,8 menit menjadi 3,2 menit.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the attitude of stakeholders towards sustainabletourism development in Lake Toba, Indonesia. The indicators used to measurestakeholder’s attitude were adopted from the United Nations World Tourism Organizationand grouped into the human system and ecosystem categories. A total of 361questionnaires were collected from several stakeholders of Lake Toba tourism.Stakeholders’ attitudes were analyzed by multiplying their level of trust in their level ofimportance to the tourism development indicators. The gap between trust andimportance will be mapped on the importance-performance analysis diagram. Theanalysis indicated that the stakeholders' attitude is generally optimistic about the tourismdevelopment in Lake Toba. However, the level of optimism varies among stakeholders.Tourism entrepreneurs and workers have the lowest attitude value compared to localpeople and tourists. Also, stakeholders which have low income or whose income partlyor most comes from the tourism industry or live in the Lake Toba Area are those in thekey priority to consider. They provide the lowest level of trust but provide the highestlevel of importance in development. Decision-makers must give a more serious approachto these stakeholders to get maximum support.

Abstract

Treatment for cerebral palsy is mostly done through physical therapy, behavioural therapy, speech therapy, nutrition, drugs and surgical intervention, but not many uses therapeutic aids. This study aims to design therapeutic aids for children with cerebral palsy disabilities so that they can stand properly using the House of Quality (HOQ) and ergonomics methods. Attributes and specifications for designing therapeutic tools are carried out by observing, asking questions and distributing questionnaires to the companions of children with cerebral palsy. The results of the questionnaire processing provided very important attributes of therapeutic aids as customer requirements (CR), namely the sturdy retaining pole, comfortable to use, anti-slip, economical price and safe to use. The technical requirements (TR) that are prioritized in the development of this product are products that can be disassembled, foot and hand belts made of cloth, strong locking retratos, sturdy wheels and locks. The dimensions of this therapy tool use Indonesian anthropometric measurements for children aged 6-12 years. Dimensions and TR are poured into the design. The design results are then made into a standing frame therapy device which is also equipped with a table to place food and games. The standing frame has been tested and is expected to be used as a therapeutic aid for children with cerebral palsy.

Abstract

Sebuah UMKM produsen produk turunan jahe merah di Sumatera Utara menghadapi permasalahan dalam produktivitas dan kualitas proses produksinya. Masalah utama yang dihadapi adalah waktu yang tinggi untuk mencuci jahe merah dan ketidakseragaman hasil pemotongan permen jahe. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, tim pengabdian kepada masyarakat menciptakan teknologi tepat guna menggunakan pendekatan rekayasa balik. Teknologi ini terdiri dari alat pencuci jahe merah mekanis berbentuk tabung dengan daya listrik dan pisau pemotong permen jahe berbahan stainless steel yang menyerupai garpu dengan 10 mata pisau. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa alat pencuci jahe merah ini mampu membersihkan 150 kg jahe merah dalam 1 jam dan mengelupas lebih dari 75% kulit jahe merah, meningkatkan produktivitas sebesar 12 kali lipat. Pisau pemotong permen jahe mampu memotong 100 biji permen berukuran 1,5 x 1,5 cm dalam 11 detik dengan hasil pemotongan yang seragam. Teknologi tepat guna ini telah diserahterimakan dan terbukti meningkatkan kinerja produksi UMKM mitra pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini mengatasi masalah produktivitas dan kualitas dalam proses produksi UMKM produsen produk turunan jahe merah. Teknologi tepat guna yang dikembangkan berhasil mengurangi waktu pencucian jahe merah dan meningkatkan seragamitas hasil pemotongan permen jahe. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah peningkatan kinerja produksi UMKM dan potensi peningkatan daya saing di pasar.

Abstract

The product design and innovation laboratory, which is still relatively new, does not yet have a maintenance model to anticipate damages that may occur in the future. The purpose of this research is to build preventive maintenance to anticipate unwanted events such as sudden damage and Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) for laboratory facilities. The method used is Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) using EasyFit 5.5 software, obtained a repair schedule with minimum downtime. The results of the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) method obtained maintenance recommendations in the form of Condition Directed (CD) on 14 components that might damage the product design and innovation laboratory facilities, Finding Failure (FF) on 8 components that might damage the design laboratory facilities. products and innovations and Time Directed (TD) on 5 components that may cause damage to product design and innovation laboratory facilities, and also Based on the results of preventive maintenance built, there is a Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) which includes the use of laboratory facilities following work instructions for the use of equipment, use of facilities the laboratory follows the work instructions for use, all validation results must be stored in the form of records in the form
