Abstract

Bahan ajar geometri yang ada saat ini kurang efektif dalam mendukung siswa dalam menemukan konten melalui tugas berbasis proyek ilmiah, juga tidak memasukkan nilai-nilai Islam ke dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi validitas bahan ajar geometri berbasis model Project-Based Learning (PjBL) yang dimodifikasi dan diintegrasikan dengan nilai-nilai Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan model 4-D yang terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu mendefinisikan, merancang, mengembangkan, dan menyebarluaskan. Instrumen validasi yang digunakan adalah angket yang menilai integrasi media, konten, dan nilai-nilai Islam. Analisis validitas dilakukan dengan menghitung rata-rata skor yang diberikan oleh validator. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa materi dan media yang divalidasi oleh ahli pendidikan matematika memperoleh skor rata-rata 4,5 dengan kategori sangat valid. Selain itu, integrasi nilai-nilai keislaman memperoleh skor rata-rata 4,3 sehingga masuk dalam kategori valid. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar geometri berbasis model PjBL yang dimodifikasi dan mengandung nilai-nilai Islam, valid dan layak digunakan. The current geometry teaching materials do not effectively support students in discovering content through scientific project-based assignments, nor do they incorporate Islamic values into the learning process. This study aims to evaluate the validity of geometry teaching materials based on a modified Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model integrated with Islamic values. The research follows a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the 4-D model, consisting of four stages: define, design, develop, and disseminate. The validation instrument employed is a questionnaire, which assesses media, content, and Islamic value integration. The validity analysis was performed by calculating the average scores provided by the validators. The results indicate that the materials and media, as validated by mathematics education experts, achieved an average score of 4.5, categorizing them as highly valid. Additionally, the Islamic value integration received an average score of 4.3, placing it in the valid category. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the geometry teaching materials, which are based on a modified PjBL model and incorporate Islamic values, are valid and suitable for use.

Abstract

Abstrak Pembelajaran matematika masih belum sepenuhnya terintegrasi dengan Nilai-Nilai Keislaman. Padahal Matematika dan Islam memliki keterkaitan yang erat, sebagaimana terdapat dalam ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis praktikalitas Hipotetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) berbasis Ayat-Ayat Al-Qur’an pada pembelajaran konsep persamaan garis lurus. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode desain research yang terdiri dari tiga tahap: desain pendahuluan, percobaan desain, dan analisis retrospektif. Partisipan penelitian adalah 18 mahasiswa semester kedua Jurusan Tadris Matematika IAIN Kerinci. Instrumen penelitian meliputi angket, observasi, dan wawancara, yang telah divalidasi untuk memastikan kelayakannya dalam penelitian ini. Analisis data dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa desain HLT berbasis Ayat-Ayat Al-Qur’an dinyatakan praktis dengan skor 81% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi Nilai-Nilai Keislam dalam pembelajaran matematika dapat meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa serta mendukung pengembangan model pembelajaran yang kontekstual. Abstract Mathematics learning is still not fully integrated with Islamic values. However, mathematics and Islam are inherently connected, as in Al-Qur'an verses. This research aims to analyze the practicality of Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) based on Al-Qur'an verses in teaching the concept of straight-line equations. This study is a design research type consisting of three stages: preliminary design, design experiment, and retrospective analysis. The research participants were 18 second-semester students of the Mathematics Education at IAIN Kerinci. Research instruments included questionnaires, observations, and interviews, which were validated to ensure their feasibility for this study. Data analysis combined qualitative and quantitative approaches. Results show that the HLT design based on Al-Qur'an verses on the concept of straight-line equations was declared practical by students at 81% in the very practical category. This implies that integrating Islamic values in mathematics learning can enhance students' understanding and support the development of contextually relevant learning models.

Abstract

The service activity carried out is in the form of mentoring in learning mathematics subjects for class VII C students at SMP Negeri 14 Kerinci. The aim of this mentoring activity is to increase students' understanding, enthusiasm and enthusiasm for learning, especially in mathematics subjects, material regarding arithmetic operations. algebraic form. Class VII C students at SMP Negeri 14 Kerinci have low interest in mathematics lessons, this can be seen from their lack of enthusiasm in studying in class and their low understanding of the material provided. This is known through initial observations and identification carried out in class. This mentoring activity is carried out through teaching and learning assistance to female students using the mentoring method. At the start of this mentoring activity, students interview teachers and students with the aim of finding out the students' abilities before providing mentoring. After being given. mentoring by the service team, the students will be given a final test (posttest) with the aim of finding out the level of success of the mentoring carried out. The results of this activity showed that the response from students was very good and enthusiastic about participating in good study guidance which can increase students' understanding, enthusiasm and enthusiasm in learning algebraic arithmetic operations.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of guided inquiry in students’ conceptual understanding in learning the Pythagorean Theorem, through a Student Activity Sheet based on the guided inquiry learning model. This research used a qualitative descriptive research method, which was carried out in class VIII F of SMP Negeri 2 Sungai Full. The data collection techniques used are documentation, observation and written tests. The data obtained in this research was analyzed using data triangulation techniques. The research results show That Guided Inquiry plays a role in helping students to understand the concept of the Pythagorean theorem formula, through several learning stages. In learning that uses guided inquiry, students are guided in a structured manner to understand the Pythagorean theorem formula By finding it yourself and being facilitated by the teacher. In addition, student learning results show that the average score obtained is above the Minimum Completeness Criteria score for mathematics subjects of 65.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini berupa kegiatan workshop penulisan karya ilmiah berupa skripsi dengan tema penelitian korelasional. Kegiatan ini bertujuan agar mahasiswa dapat memahami mengenai penulisan karya ilmiah berupa skripsi khususnya pada penelitian korelasional. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 16 Desember 2021 secara daring dengan menggunakan zoom meeting. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 37 orang mahasiswa dari IAIN Kerinci, STAI Bumi Silampari Lubuklinggau, dan UIN Imam Bonjol, dengan jurusan pendidikan agama islam, tadris matematika, ekonomi syariah, manajemen pendidikan islam, dan lain-lain. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dalam dua tahap yaitu tahap pertama penyampaian materi dengan metode ceramah melalui bantuan power poin. Kemudian tahap kedua dilanjutkan dengan diskusi ataupun tanya jawab mengenai materi workshop. Materi yang diberikan berupa pengertian dan karakteristik penelitian korelasional, contoh penelitian korelasional, jenis penelitian korelasional berupa korelasi linear sederhana dan korelasi linear berganda, serta contoh pengolahan data hasil penelitian korelasional. Secara umum, dapat dikatakan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berupa workshop penulisan karya tulis ilmiah berupa skripsi pada materi penelitian korelasional berlangsung lancar

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pendampingan terhadap siswa SMPN 1 Sungai Penuh yang mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep transformasi dan translasi dalam matematika. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan partisipatif melalui workshop dan bimbingan belajar. Kegiatan ini meliputi analisis kesulitan belajar siswa, penyampaian materi secara interaktif, serta latihan soal yang relevan. Hasil dari pendampingan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi, ditandai dengan kenaikan nilai rata-rata tes sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan. Selain itu, siswa juga menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi belajar dan kepercayaan diri dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal matematika. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model bagi upaya pendampingan serupa di sekolah-sekolah lain untuk mengatasi kesulitan belajar siswa.

Abstract

Pendidikan matematika merupakan aspek kunci dalam pembangunan masyarakat dan meningkatkan taraf hidup. Artikel ini membahas upaya pendampingan kesulitan belajar matematika pada materi operasi hitung aljabar di Desa Dusun Diilir, Kecamatan Hamparan Rawang, Kabupaten Kerinci. Pendampingan dilakukan dengan metode yang holistik, melibatkan pihak-pihak terkait dan berfokus pada pembelajaran aljabar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas pendampingan dalam mengatasi kesulitan belajar matematika, khususnya pada materi operasi hitung aljabar, di Desa Dusun Diilir. Pendampingan dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode holistik yang berfokus pada peningkatan pemahaman siswa. Metode pengumpulan data melibatkan observasi, dan tes evaluasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman siswa, mendukung keberhasilan pendekatan ini dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar. Pendampingan belajar matematika merupakan upaya untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi pelajaran. Artikel ini membahas pendampingan belajar matematika pada materi aljabar di Desa Dusun Diilir, Kecamatan Hamparan Rawang, Kabupaten Kerinci. Pendampingan dilakukan dengan metode diskusi, latihan soal, dan Evaluasi. Hasil pendampingan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman siswa terhadap materi operasi hitung aljabar.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the problem-solving abilities of Mathematics Education students at IAIN Kerinci in relation to their levels of mathematics anxiety. Mathematics anxiety is a significant barrier that interferes with cognitive processes and impairs academic performance in mathematics learning. Employing a qualitative approach, data were collected through questionnaires, documentation, and problem-solving tests on systems of linear equations, analyzed using Polya’s problem-solving stages. The results revealed that students with high anxiety faced difficulties in almost all stages, those with moderate anxiety showed partial understanding but lacked execution accuracy, while students with low anxiety demonstrated optimal performance across all stages. The study proposes the Qurmatica approach as a pedagogical solution that integrates spiritual values to reduce anxiety and enhance learning motivation.

Abstract

The advancement of knowledge closely linked to technological progress imposes a demand on countries to enhance the quality of their human resources (HR). In Indonesia, as a developing nation, the abundance of human resources requires an elevation in quality to remain competitive on a global scale. Improving the national education quality, particularly in mathematics, emerges as a strategic step in nurturing a competitive HR. Mathematics plays a pivotal role in equipping students with logical, analytical, and creative thinking skills, as well as collaborative abilities. However, the results of the 2018 PISA survey indicate a low level of mathematical literacy in Indonesia. Factors such as students' weak mathematical reasoning, insufficient practice in problem-solving, and a mismatch between test materials and the curriculum are major contributors to the poor performance in mathematical literacy. The significance of mathematical literacy is reflected in five competencies that students should possess, all of which support mathematical literacy. Mathematical literacy functions in applying mathematical knowledge in the context of everyday life, aligning with the demands of an ever-evolving era. To achieve the goal of mathematics education that aligns with the demands of mathematical literacy, attention is required towards content, processes, and context in mathematics learning. Hence, efforts to enhance the quality of mathematics education in Indonesia should consider these aspects to foster competent students capable of facing the challenges of the modern world.

Abstract

This study focuses on how employing practical and proven Islamic values-integrated geometry teaching materials improves students' willingness to learn and their mathematical linkages to real-world situations. A pre-experimental design with a One-Group Pretest-Final test is used in the study. Total sampling was the method employed. 17 fourth-semester IAIN Kerinci math education majors participating in the Analytical Geometry course made up the study's sample. A learning motivation survey and a test of mathematical connection skills make up the data collection tools. N-Gain (Normalized Gain) and paired t-tests were used to analyze the data. The results show that the t-test's significance level is 0.002. Given that this number is less than 0.05, it confirms that Islamic Values-based educational resources are both effective and significant in enhancing students’ ability to make mathematical connections. The N-Gain analysis shows a percentage of 76%, which falls into the “effective” category. Meanwhile, the motivation score percentage of students was 75.6%, indicating that after using Islamic principles incorporated into geometry instructional materials, students exhibited high motivation to learn mathematics. This study's conclusion is that Islamic principles must be incorporated into the way mathematics is taught materials as part of a relevant and applicable instructional strategy, which positively impacts students’ mathematical connection abilities and learning motivation.
