Abstract

This thesis entitled an effort to improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts insolving problem solving through Polya. The purpose of this research is to know theimprovement of students' concept comprehension in solving the story problem through Polyaapproach. This research uses Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is implemented inClass VII A MTs PUI Cilimus Lesson Year 2017/2018. Adapaun source data used is theobservation of students to know the development of student activities during learning andtests to determine the improvement of students' concepts in understanding the problem. Theresulting data will be analyzed by descriptive method. The theoretical basis used is thetheory of concept comprehension, problem solving and Polya approach. Based on dataanalysis done, it can be concluded that by using Polya approach in solving problem solvingproblem there is increasing understanding of student concept. This is evident from the resultsof the test in the second cycle of 48% of the initial test is only 30% and in the final testreached 78%. While the concept of students understanding also increased by 22.5% fromcycle 1 of 75% and cycle 2 of 97.5%. Therefore, the method of Polya approach is suggestedto be used to improve the concept of students in solving the problem solving problem.Keywords: Conceptual understanding, problem solving, Polya approach

Abstract

This research was conducted to improve students 'mathematical creative thinking abilities and self-awareness by using a new mathematical learning model, the use of the Problem Based Learning model was considered suitable to improve students' mathematical creative thinking abilities and self-awareness because at the stage of solving problems students were required to issue ideas new and students are freed to find their own material resources. This research is a quasi-experimental study conducted in odd semester of 2017/2018 academic year, on July 31 - August 31, 2017 at Weru Islamic Junior High School which is located in Weru Lor Village, Weru District, Cirebon Regency, with the subject of research being VIII grade students of odd semester 2017/2018 lessons. There are two classes used in this study, namely class VIII A as an experimental class and VIII B as a control class, in practice the experimental class uses the Problem Based Learning learning model and the control class uses the conventional model. This research resulted in a difference test of N-Gain mathematical creative thinking abilities obtained sig. (2-tailed) value of less than 0.05 then H0 was rejected. So that it can be concluded that there is an increase in difference between the experimental class and the control class, from the tcount of 6.134 it can be said that the increase in mathematical creative thinking abilities that use the Problem Based Learning model is better than those using conventional learning models and the results of the test differences in the value of N-gain awareness self obtained sig. value (2-tailed) less than 0.05 then H0 is rejected. So it can be concluded that there is an increase in difference between the experimental class and the control class, from the tcount of 7.330 it can be said that the increase in self-awareness of students who use Problem Based Learning models is better than those using conventional learning models. Abstract

The research is based on the law of mathematics conceps understanding and the less of the students’s activation in learning process. The research is Quasi Experimental research. The research design is used Nonequivalent Control Group Design and sample collection technique is SamplingPurposive. The sample of the research is the 7th qraders39 student class 7th E is classes eksperimental and 39 student class 7th D is classes control. The population in the research is the students of class SMPN 2 Kapetakan Kabupaten Cirebon, academic year 2016/2017 The instrument used in the research is mathematics concept understanding skill test and student’s observation sheet. Test of the difference of the average of post-test using the test of Independent Sample T-Test equals sig (1-tailed) score 0,001< 0,05 means H0 ejjected. And then the difference of the average using of N-gain using the test of Independent Sample t-test equals sig score (1-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05 means H0 ejjected. And then the test of the difference of the average of self confident using the test of mann whitney U test sig (1-tailed) score 0,0005< 0,05 means H0 ejjected. The research result shows that: (1). The improvement of mathematics conceps understanding skill which is using realistic mathematic educationis better than the students who are learning by conventional learning process. (2). self confident in those students who are learning by mathematic realistic mathematic educationis better than the students who are learning by conventional learning process. Abstract

The research is based on the law of comunacition mathematical and mathematical disposition and the less of the students’s activation in learning process. The research objective is to know the improvement of ccomunication mathematical which the learning process used is Reciprocal Teaching learning model with conventional learning. The research is Quasi Experimental research.The research design is used Nonequivalent Control Group Design and sample collection technique is Sampling Purposive .The population in the research is the students of class XIth MAN I Kota Cirebon, academic year 2017/2018. The sample of the research is the XIth qraders 39 th student class XIth A is classes eksperimental and 39 th student class XIth B is classes control. Based on the result the difference of the average using of N-gain using the test of Independent Sample t-test equals sig score (1 tiled) 0,0005 < 0,05 means H0 rejected. On the other hard, based on the result of questionnaire using the test of Mann Whitney U-Test eguals Asymp. Sig(2 tailed) 0,000 < 0,5 means H0 rejected. The research result shows that: The improvement of communication mathematical which is using Reciprocal Teaching learning model is better than the students who are learning by conventional learning process. Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dari rendahnya self concept matematis siswa SMA dalam pembelajaran matematika. Siswa yang terlihat tidak percaya diri pada saat pembelajaran matematika merupakan salah satu gejala rendahnya self concept yang dimiliki siswa. Penggunaan model pembelajaran yang tepat dapat memberikan stimulus yang akan menciptakan interaksi dalam pembelajaran sehingga siswa lebih percaya diri dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat memberikan stimulus pada siswanya yaitu model pembelajaran missouri mathematics project. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah peningkatan self concept matematis antara siswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan missouri mathematics project dengan siswa yang pembelajarannya secara konvensional. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif, penelitain kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian yang digunakan nonequivalent control grup design. Populasinya adalah siswa kelas XII IPS SMAN 1 Jamblang tahun pelajaran 2019/2020, sampel penelitian melibatkan 28 siswa kelas XII IPS 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 28 siswa kelas XII IPS 4 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan sampel diperoleh menggunakan teknik sampling purposive. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa skala self concept matematis. Penelitian ini menggunakan uji Independent Sampel T-Test yang sebelumnya dilakukan uji prasyarat data (uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas). Jika data tidak berdistribusi normal akan dilakukan uji nonparametric yaitu uji Mann Whitney U. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa self concept matematis siswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan model pembelajaran missouri mathematics project lebih baik daripada siswa yang pembelajarannya secara konvensional dengan rata-rata angket akhir sebesar 76,68 dan rata-rata nilai n-gain sebesar 0,4264. Kata Kunci : missouri mathematics project, Self Concept matematis ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the low mathematical self-concept of high school students in learning mathematics. Students who look insecure when learning mathematics is one of the symptoms of the lack of self concept students have. The use of appropriate learning models can provide a stimulus that will create interactions in learning so students are more confident in learning activities. One learning model that can provide stimulus to students is the missouri mathematics project learning model. This study aims to examine the improvement of mathematical self concept between students whose learning uses the missouri mathematics project and students who learn conventionally. The method used in this study is a quantitative method, a quasi-experimental research study using a non-equivalent control group design. The population is students of class XII IPS SMAN 1 Jamblang in the academic year 2019/2020, the study sample involved 28 students of class XII IPS 2 as an experimental class and 28 students of class XII IPS 4 as a control class with samples obtained using purposive sampling techniques. The instrument used in this study is a mathematical self concept scale. This study uses the Independent Sample T-Test which was previously subjected to a data prerequisite test (normality test and homogeneity test). If the data is not normally distributed, a nonparametric test will be carried out, namely the Mann Whitney U test. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the mathematical self concept of students learning using the missouri mathematics project learning model is better than students learning conventionally with an average questionnaire of 76.68 and the average n-gain value of 0.4264. Abstract

ABSTRACT This study discusses the development of Contextual-based mathematics worksheets on Arithmetic Series material for class X SMK. This study aims (1) to develop contextual-based math worksheets on the subject matter of valid and practical arithmetic series, and (2) to find out contextual-based math worksheets on the subject matter of arithmetic series that are developed meet valid and practical criteria. The type of research used is Research & Development (R&D) or research and development. The development model used is the model proposed by Sugiono which consists of several phases, namely potential problems, data collection, product design, validation and revision. The subjects in this study were class X teachers of SMKN 1 Jamblang and lecturers of Mathematics Education, University of Muhammadiyah Cirebon. The instruments used in this study were expert validation sheets and teacher response questionnaires. Based on the results of the trials carried out, it was found that (1) the results of the LKPD validation were 4.20 which were in the valid category with an interval of 3.5 M < 4.3 , (2) the practicality validation sheet which is the practicality component obtained positive results, namely validation sheet with a positive category because it is in the interval 70% < 85%, thus the teaching materials meet the practical criteria. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini membahas tentang pengembangan LKPD matematika berbasis Kontekstual pada materi Deret Aritmatika kelas X SMK. Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) untuk mengembangkan LKPD matematika berbasis kontekstual pada pokok materi deret aritmatika yang valid dan praktis, dan (2) untuk mengetahui LKPD matematika berbasis kontekstual pada pokok materi deret aritmatika yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria valid dan praktis. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian Research & Development (R&D) atau penelitian dan pengembangan. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model yang dikemukakan oleh Sugiono yang terdiri dari beberapa fase yaitu potensi masalah, pengumpulan data, desain Product, validasi dan revisi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah guru kelas X SMKN 1 Jamblang dan dosen Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Muhammadiyah Cirebon. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah lembar validasi ahli dan angket respon guru. Berdasarkan hasil uji coba yang dilakukan, diperoleh bahwa (1) hasil validasi LKPD adalah 4,20 berada pada kategori valid dengan interval 3,5 ? M < 4,3 , (2) lembar validasi kepraktisan yang merupakan komponen kepraktisan diperoleh hasil yang positif yaitu lembar validasi dengan kategori positif karena berada pada interval 70% ? ???????? < 85% dengan demikian bahan ajar memenuhi kriteria praktis. Kata kunci : Pengembangan Bahan ajar, berbasis kontekstual, valid, praktis.

Abstract

Mathematical connection ability is one of the important skills in learning mathematics. When students are able to relate mathematical ideas, their understanding of mathematics deepens and lasts longer. Based on the data in the field, it was found that students were still unable to recognize and relate mathematical ideas. During mathematics learning, behaviors that lead to math anxiety and lack of self-confidence were also found. The purpose of this study is to analyze students' mathematical connection abilities in terms of self-efficacy and mathematics anxiety. This type of research is a descriptive qualitative research using mathematical connection test aids, self-efficacy questionnaires, and mathematics anxiety questionnaires to collect data. The subjects in this study were 6 students of SMK majoring in TBSM. The results showed that students who have high, medium, and low self-efficacy can meet 3 indicators of mathematical connection ability.

Abstract

The results showed that Indonesia students had an average math score less than the average score from the OECD. This is due to the fact that TIMMS and PISA materials consist of questions related to real-world problems. According to the results of Indonesia's digital literacy index organized by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (Kemkominfo) and the Katadata Insight Center (KIC) in 2021, Indonesia's digital literacy index is in the medium category, the level of digital literacy in Indonesia can still be categorized as low. The purpose of this study is to find out how the trend of numeracy literacy and digital literacy research with articular storyline 3. This method of research USES experimental or experimental research. The study is done to get an overall picture of numeration literacy and digital literacy. The goal was achieved by performing a bibliometric analysis. The findings of the study analyzed from 309 primary studies between 2019-2024 show trand numerating literacy and digital literacy of using the web-based learning media that articulated storyline 3. The results of bibliometrics based on terms and themes regarding numeracy literacy and digital literacy have a dim color so that in the study there are still few who conduct research, especially on triangular and quadrilateral matter. Therefore, this can be a reference for newness or novelty in future research

Abstract

This research was conducted because it the finding that students had a low ability to understand mathematical concepts.This certainly causes learning obstacles for students. The aim of this bibliometric analysis research is to examine publications related to the field of study with the aim of identifying research trends, important concepts and keywords. This research uses a bibliometric method to collect data with the keywords Mathematical concept comprehension of students in Indefinite Integral material. In light of the results, outcome and conversation, It was discovered that, from 2019 and 2024, 2021 had the most amount of scientific papers on the Google Scholar website.The data collection technique used the Harzing's Publish or Perish program which is available for free and can be accessed. The publications used were released between 2019 and 2024 using VOSviewer which contains 3 views, namely network visualization, overlay visualization, and density visualization. The analysis indicates that this study's results fluctuate annually..Bibliometric results based on terms, the theme regarding Mathematical Concepts Comprehension has a dim color so that there is still little research that examines Indefinite Integral material in particular. Therefore, this can be a reference for further research updates.

Abstract

This research to determine the strategy for developing and managing digital libraries in improving students' literacy culture and the various problems they face. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis. Data collection techniques are by conducting observations, interviews and document studies. The results of this study suggest, among others: (1) The UIN Syarif Hidatullah Jakarta Library has not implemented a comprehensive digital system and is still in the development stage to switch to digital which is called the Hybrid Library.; (2) The lack of digital book collections and lack of socialization are the main leaders of the UIN Jakarta library in managing digital libraries. The solution is to collaborate with several international journal parties. Other factors that are leaders are budget limitations, storage limitations, and obstacles to the procurement of electronic goods.; (3) the use of digital collections owned by the UIN Jakarta Library is less than its non-digital collections.
