Abstract

This study aims to analyze trends and developments in Islamic education management research in Indonesia from 2015 to 2025. The method employed is bibliometric analysis, utilizing a quantitative approach. This study includes 107 documents published by 371 authors, with an average document age of 3.02 years. This bibliometric analysis uses VOSviewer and Biblioshiny software. This study found a significant surge in Islamic Education Management publications in Indonesia, with an annual growth rate of 21.48%, particularly in 2022 and 2023, and a notable contribution from religious universities, such as UIN Sunan Kalijaga. The change in topics indicates a shift from a normative approach towards digitalization, interdisciplinarity, and technology-based institutional strategies, including responses to crises such as the pandemic. However, a significant gap remains in integrative studies that combine applied science with cutting-edge research technology, presenting strategic opportunities for the future development of Islamic Education Management research. This research provides a data-driven reference for developing a national research strategy in Islamic Education Management and a roadmap for scientific collaboration. Further research can focus on strengthening interdisciplinary research, integrating digital technologies, and collaborative networks across countries and institutions.

Abstract

Diabetes Melitus (DM) menjadi salah satu masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang cukup berbahaya dan cenderung masih banyak ditemukan dalam kondisi hiperglikemia. Penatalaksaan DM dapat dilakukan dengan terapi non farmakologi salah satunya yakni terapi kombinasi dzikir dan rebusan daun jambu biji. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh terapi kombinasi dzikir dan rebusan daun jambu biji terhadap kadar gula darah pasien DM tipe 2 di wilayah Desa Banjarmadu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah desain penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan pendekatan pre-test and post-test with control group design, sampel sebanyak 68 pasien didapatkan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini yaitu Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP), lembar observasi kadar gula darah dan alat pengukur gula darah (glucometer) merk Easy Touch GCU. Analisis data menggunakan uji mann withney. Hasil penelitian sebelum dan sesudah diberikan terapi kombinasi dzikir dan rebusan daun jambu biji pada kelompok perlakuan kadar gula darah selisih 19,93 mg/dL, sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol selisih 4,38 mg/dL. Hasil uji mann withey diperoleh nilai signifikan p=0,000 (p<0,05) yang artinya terdapat perbedaan kadar gula darah pasien diabetes melitus sebelum dan setelah diberikan terapi kombinasi dzikir dan rebusan daun jambu biji secara signifikan. Berdasarkan penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa Efek relaksasi dan kandungan flavoid serta tanin yang terdapat pada daun jambu biji mampu membantu mengendalian peningkatan kadar gula darah pasien diabetes melitus.

Abstract

Laboratory activities are essential and meaningful in science learning, especially biology. However, students often have no sufficient understanding of what is being practiced, beside they do not use their sklills to solve problems in the field of biology. Scientific argumentation is one of the skills that a prospective science teacher needs to develop and needs to be trained so that prospective teachers have experience and skills to apply when they become teachers later. The scientific argumentation skills in laboratory activities needs to be trained to provide training to students to use the results of laboratory activity to answer problems in the field of biology. This study aims to apply inquiry-oriented laboratory activities that focus on scientific argumentation in laboratory courses and to analyze the quality of scientific arguments of prospective biology teacher students during laboratory activities. The method used in this study is mixed methods research type exploratoryy which combines qualitative and quantitative approaches with complementarity. The research subject is a prospective student of a 5th semester biology teacher who takes microbiology courses. The results showed that the application of scientific argumentation in laboratory activity was carried out in 3 stages, namely initial discussion, experiment, observation and final discussion after experiment. The results of the analysis of the quality of scientific argumentation show that the argumentation skills of some students is at the middle level. The conclusion of this laboratory activity shows that students' scientific argumentation skills can develop well if they have the opportunity to discuss critically by using experimental data and their knowledge obtained from literature studies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran perencanaan Manajemen Sumber Daya Manusia (MSDM) pada lembaga pendidikan Islam, khususnya di Pondok Pesantren Bina Insan Mulia Cirebon. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh pentingnya pengelolaan SDM yang strategis dan sistematis dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan pesantren di era globalisasi dan revolusi industri 4.0. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi observasi dan wawancara mendalam dengan musyrifah, guru, dan tenaga kependidikan di Pondok Pesantren Bina Insan Mulia Cirebon, khususnya di asrama putri. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan manajemen personalia yang terarah dan sistematis memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pemenuhan kebutuhan tenaga kependidikan dengan rasio yang memadai (1 pendidik untuk setiap 100 santri dari total 3000 santri). Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pengelolaan SDM yang optimal dapat mendukung efektivitas pembelajaran dan keberlanjutan pengelolaan pesantren di masa mendatang. Implikasi penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya standardisasi manajemen SDM di pesantren sebagai upaya meningkatkan daya saing lembaga pendidikan Islam dalam menghadapi tantangan global.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of intergenerational Learning Circle management in developing a culture of knowledge sharing among teachers at SMA Negeri 3 Cirebon. The Learning Circle program, known as Entog Cup Ekek, serves as a collaborative platform for senior and junior teachers to exchange best practices, present innovative learning models, and develop technology-based and AI-assisted assessments. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings show that the implementation of the Learning Circle operates through structured stages of planning, collaborative execution, and reflective evaluation, enabling systematic knowledge transfer. The culture of knowledge sharing across generations has strengthened, indicated by increased openness, active participation, and routine discussions of pedagogical innovations across MGMP subject groups. The program also positively impacts professional collaboration, reduces intergenerational barriers, and minimizes competency gaps—particularly in pedagogical and digital skills-between senior and junior teachers. These findings indicate that the Learning Circle can function as an effective knowledge management model that enhances teacher professionalism and fosters a collaborative school culture.

Abstract

INTEGRATION INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY IN DIGITAL-BASED MID-SEMESTER SUMMATIVE ASSESMENT: IMPLEMENTATION, EFFECTIVENESS AND OPERATIONAL CHALLENGESThis study aims to describe the form of information technology integration in the implementation of digital-based Mid-Semester Summative Assessment (PSTS) at SMK Negeri 1 Kandanghaur, Indramayu Regency, and evaluate its effectiveness in measuring student competencies and identifying implementation challenges. A qualitative approach with a case study was used, with data collection through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and document analysis of the PSTS Odd Semester of the 2025/2026 Academic Year. The results indicate that the school has adopted the Google Form platform for multiple-choice questions and the Exambro Android application as a test-taking medium. This system has proven effective in improving administrative efficiency, accelerating feedback, and maintaining exam integrity through an application lock feature that prevents access outside the platform. However, there are still findings that indicate that despite the adoption of technology, the assessment transformation has not yet touched the pedagogical essence, namely holistic, valid, and competency-based assessment. Research recommendations include the development of competency-based technical guidelines, ongoing training for teachers, and the provision of free internet access in schools to ensure the fairness and quality of assessments.

Abstract

STRENGTHENING TEACHER COMPETENCE THROUGH EDUCATIONAL HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT: CONCEPTUAL ANALYSIS AND IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGYImproving teacher competence is a key factor in enhancing the overall quality of education. This article aims to analyze the integration of educational administration and human resource management (HRM) as a comprehensive approach to strengthening teacher competence. Using a literature review method, this study examines concepts, principles, and empirical findings related to the role of educational administration in policy formulation, program planning, supervision, and evaluation of teacher development, alongside HRM functions such as human resource planning, recruitment, selection, training, performance appraisal, and work motivation. The findings indicate that integrating these two disciplines creates a more effective and sustainable framework for teachers’ professional development. Educational administration provides structural and strategic direction, while HRM ensures that teachers are managed as human capital through systematic development processes. Implementation challenges identified include budget limitations, managerial capacity gaps, weak collaborative culture, and suboptimal use of data for decision-making. This article concludes that the synergy between educational administration and HRM is a relevant and strategic approach to strengthening teacher competence in schools.

Abstract

STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT IN OVERCOMING THE SHORTAGE OF UMMI METHOD TEACHERS BASED ON MOTHER-TONGUE APPROACH AT MI AL ISHLAH BOBOS CIREBONThis study aims to describe the managerial strategies implemented by MI Al-Ishlah Bobos Cirebon, in overcoming the shortage of human resources (HR) of teachers in the implementation of the mother tongue-based Ummi Method at MI Al-Ishlah Bobos Cirebon. The results of our observations and data collection on the implementation of the mother tongue-based Ummi method show various phenomena that occur. Among these phenomena, we take one of the phenomena, namely the limited number of teachers certified by the Ummi Method and the low ability of some teachers in implementing the principles of talaqqi and tartil, resulting in less than optimal learning of the Ummi method at MI Al-Ishlah Bobos Cirebon. The Ummi method was chosen because it emphasizes a mother tongue approach, direct reading, repetition, and affection, which are believed to improve students' reading skills. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the institution implemented several managerial strategies, namely: (1) mentor-based internal training; (2) mentoring by the Ummi Foundation in the Cirebon region; (3) recruitment of local mother tongue teachers; (4) integration of mother tongue in Qur'an learning; and (5) routine coaching. These strategies have proven effective in improving teacher competence and the quality of students' Qur'an recitation. These findings indicate that the use of mother tongue can be a contextual solution in managing Qur'an learning in Islamic madrasas, especially when faced with limited human resources.

Abstract

LITERATURE STUDY ON THE ROLE OF TEACHERS IN STUDENT DEVELOPMENT One of the current educational challenges is the suboptimal role of teachers in developing the potential of all students, particularly in the digital era, which demands higher pedagogical skills and technological literacy. This study aims to review and analyze the strategic role of teachers by examining previous research related to students' cognitive, social-emotional, character, and learning motivation development. Through a literature review, this study identifies how teachers contribute to creating an effective, adaptive, and student-centered learning process. The analysis shows that teachers play a crucial role as facilitators who provide a supportive learning environment, as motivators who foster learning interest, as mentors who guide social-emotional development, and as role models in character development. However, teachers also face challenges, such as low digital literacy, lack of student motivation, and difficulties in balancing academic learning and character development. This study confirms that improving teacher professionalism, including digital skills and a student-centered learning approach, significantly impacts the success of student development. Furthermore, collaboration between teachers, parents, and the school environment is a crucial factor in supporting student development holistically.

Abstract

TEACHER WORK MOTIVATION FROM AN ISLAMIC PERSPECTIVE: A THEORETICAL ANALYSIS OF MODERN MOTIVATION THEORY Teacher work motivation is an essential factor in improving performance and the effectiveness of the educational process. This study aims to analyze the concept of work motivation from an Islamic perspective and compare it with modern motivation theories such as Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, Herzberg’s two-factor theory, and McClelland’s needs theory. This research employs a library research method by examining various relevant literature, both from classical Islamic sources and modern management theories. The findings show that motivation in Islam is rooted in spiritual values such as intention, sincerity, trustworthiness, and an orientation toward the Hereafter, which provide a transcendental dimension to teachers’ work behavior. Meanwhile, modern motivation theories tend to focus on the fulfillment of worldly needs such as salary, recognition, and achievement. Integrating both approaches results in a comprehensive Islamic work motivation model-one that encourages teachers to work professionally while maintaining an orientation toward worship. Thus, managing teacher work motivation based on Islamic values becomes an important strategy for improving the quality and work ethic of educators in Islamic educational institutions
