Abstract

Efficient electricity management remains one of the primary challenges in operating modern apartments and residential complexes. The prepaid KWH meter system offers an effective solution by enabling residents to monitor and control their electricity consumption independently. This study aims to develop a Prepaid KWH Meter Token Vending Application to enhance electricity management efficiency in such environments. The application is designed to help property managers generate, distribute, and monitor electricity tokens accurately and in an integrated manner. The research methodology includes five main stages: (1) Needs analysis, conducted through interviews and direct observation to identify problems and system requirements; (2) System design, including software architecture, user interface (UI/UX), and database design; (3) Web-based application development using the CodeIgniter framework and PHP; (4) Functionality test of the application was conducted using black box testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to gather user feedback; and (5) Performance evaluation to measure the efficiency improvements achieved through the application. The testing results show that the application can deliver tokens quickly and accurately, supporting effective electricity monitoring by management. This application is expected to improve operational efficiency, optimize electricity costs, and enhance comfort for residents

Abstract

Background: Effective school leadership is a key determinant of educational quality and student outcomes. In Indonesia, the School Transformation Program, initiated by the Ministry of Education, aims to accelerate school improvement by strengthening the role of principals and promoting the Pancasila Student Profile. Contribution: This study contributes to the body of knowledge on digital transformation in school leadership by introducing and evaluating the SIDIKMAS-BRO application as a localized, user-friendly diagnostic tool. Method: The training was implemented as a community service activity at SMPN 1 Pelabuhan Ratu, involving 35 school leaders. Participants engaged in panel discussions, interactive sessions, and hands-on practice using the SIDIKMAS-BRO application to assess school planning, leadership, and instructional supervision. Results: The training enhanced participants’ understanding of data-driven school diagnostics. They demonstrated improved ability to use the application to evaluate key management areas and identify institutional strengths and weakness. Conclusion: The program effectively strengthened the capacity of school leaders to utilize digital diagnostic tools. It contributed to promoting collaborative, evidence-based decision-making for school improvement.

Abstract

This study investigates the factors influencing the Net Profit Margin (NPM) of Islamic banks in Indonesia, focusing on risk aversion (CAP), default risk (NPF), liquidity (FDR), and operational size (SIZE). The research aims to explore how these variables affect profitability in the Indonesian Islamic banking sector. The study uses balanced panel data from Islamic banks over the period 2014–2023 and applies panel regression analysis to examine the relationships between the variables. The findings indicate that risk aversion negatively affects NPM, while liquidity and operational size have a positive influence on NPM. Default risk does not significantly impact NPM. Additionally, the study includes a dummy variable for the COVID-19 pandemic, which shows a negative effect on NPM, reflecting the adverse impact of the pandemic on bank margins. This research contributes to the literature on the determinants of profitability in Islamic banking by providing new insights into how risk aversion, default risk, liquidity, and operational size influence NPM, particularly during periods of economic disruption

Abstract

The management of internship programs in Indonesian higher education continues to face structural and implementation challenges, particularly under the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy, which promotes experiential learning and inter-institutional collaboration. This study critically analyzes internship governance in two distinct academic settings: the Islamic Education Management (IEM) program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta and the Educational Administration (EA) program at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia Bandung. Drawing on Sondang Siagian’s five management functions-planning, organizing, directing, supervising, and evaluating-a qualitative case study approach was employed. Data were collected from purposively selected stakeholders, including program heads, field supervisors, and student interns (n = 18), using in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal two models of implementation: a structured two-phase system (IEM) and a flexible single-phase system (EA), both of which promote managerial, interpersonal, and technical competencies. However, shared obstacles persist, including irregular supervision, limited alignment with institutional needs, and evaluations focused primarily on summative outcomes. The IEM program excels in structured planning and alums mentoring, whereas the EA program demonstrates strengths in international collaboration and technical briefings. This study proposes a hybrid model that integrates structured planning with adaptive field practices, supported by formative evaluations and leadership training. Theoretically, the study contributes to the discourse on work-integrated learning by contextualizing internship governance within the framework of educational administration. Practically, it offers a replicable model for institutions seeking to align internship programs with MBKM policy objectives and labor market expectations. Future research is recommended to examine longitudinal impacts and incorporate alums and employer perspectives into internship assessments.
