Abstract

Abstract: This study presents a bibliometric analysis of research on transformational leadership in schools using data from the Scopus database between 2014 and 2024. Using VOSviewer and R Studio Biblioshiny for analysis, we examined publication trends, influential contributors, and research themes within this field. The findings revealed significant growth in publications, with an annual increase of 16.65%, indicating increasing scientific interest, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Influential contributions were identified through the most cited documents and a three-field plot, which highlighted lead authors, countries such as Indonesia and Malaysia, and leading journals such as the Journal of Educational Administration. Keyword co-occurrence analysis revealed six thematic clusters, including school leadership, teacher performance, organizational outcomes and innovation, demonstrating the multidimensional nature of the field. This analysis provides valuable insights into the global research landscape on transformational leadership in education, emphasizing its critical role in addressing contemporary educational challenges and informing future research directions. Abstrak: Studi ini menyajikan analisis penelitian bibliometrik tentang kepemimpinan transformasional di sekolah menggunakan data dari database Scopus antara tahun 2014 dan 2024. Dengan menggunakan VOSviewer dan R Studio Biblioshiny untuk analisis, kami memeriksa tren publikasi, kontributor pengaruh, dan tema penelitian dalam bidang ini. Temuan ini menunjukkan adanya pertumbuhan publikasi yang signifikan, dengan peningkatan tahunan sebesar 16,65%, yang menunjukkan meningkatnya minat ilmiah, terutama selama pandemi COVID-19. Kontribusi yang berpengaruh diindentifikasi melalui dokumen yang paling banyak dikutip dan plot tiga bidang, yang menyoroti penulis utama, negara-negara seperti Indonesia dan Malaysia, dan jurnal terkemuka seperti Journal of Educational Administration. Analisis kejadian bersama kata kunci mengungkap enam kelompok tematik, termasuk kepemimpinan sekolah, kinerja guru, hasil organisasi, dan inovasi, yang menunjukkan sifat multidimensi dari bidang ini. Analisis ini memberikan wawasan berharga mengenai lanskap penelitian global mengenai kepemimpinan transformasional dalam pendidikan, menekankan peran penting kepemimpinan transformasional dalam mengatasi tantangan pendidikan kontemporer dan memberikan informasi arah penelitian di masa depan. Abstract

Parigeuing leadership, rooted in Sundanese cultural values, underscores a leader’s effective communication rooted in local traditions. This study explores the leadership of the Head of the West Java Provincial Education Office as a representation of educational leadership in Sundanese society, with a focus on communication practices aligned with parigeuing principles. A qualitative case study methodology was employed to gather data through comprehensive, in-depth interviews, direct observations of the leader’s communication style, and document analysis of the manuscript. Seven informants, including division heads, staff members, and a philology expert provided insights into the manifestation of parigeuing leadership. The findings highlight that parigeuing leadership is evident in the leader’s approach to delivering instructions, guidance, and motivation, with dasa pasanta serving as a guiding framework. This study contributes to the theoretical advancement of inclusive educational leadership models grounded in local cultural values, providing practical insights for leaders in Sundanese society and beyond.

Abstract

Research Aims: This study aims to examine the relationship between financial inclusion and financial stability in the context of Islamic rural banks in Indonesia. Additionally, it incorporates bank-specific factors and macroeconomic conditions as independent variables. Design/methodology/approach: This research employs a quantitative approach using the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model, with time series data from January 2014 to June 2024. Research Findings: The findings reveal that financial inclusion does not significantly impact financial stability, which may be due to the limited accessibility of financial services for low-income populations. Furthermore, capital adequacy, profitability, and exchange rates generally have a positive influence on financial stability. On the other hand, credit risk, bank size, and inflation negatively affect financial stability. However, liquidity shows no significant effect on financial stability. Theoretical Contribution/Originality: This study contributes to the limited research on the relationship between financial inclusion and financial stability, specifically within the context of Islamic rural banks. Additionally, it employs a financial inclusion index to measure financial inclusion, adding a unique methodological approach to the existing literature.

Abstract

Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) who have returned to their homeland have great potential to develop businesses through digital platforms. The mentoring program for creating Shopee marketplace accounts is one solution to help ex-IMW market their products online. This study aims to analyze the mentoring process for ex-IMW in creating Shopee accounts and identify effective challenges and strategies in the process. The method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of 15 ex-IMW who participated in the mentoring program. The results showed that through intensive mentoring, participants successfully created Shopee accounts and understood the basic features of the platform. The main challenges faced include digital literacy constraints, limited understanding of product photography, and inventory management. Effective strategies include a gradual learning approach, one-on-one mentoring, and direct practice in managing online stores. This study recommends the need for sustainable mentoring programs and collaboration with various stakeholders to support the success of ex-IMW in developing businesses through digital platforms

Abstract

This study aims to examine the supervision strategies implemented by the principal in improving teacher performance based on professional competence at SD N Sukasenang 2, Garut. The approach used is descriptive qualitative with a case study method. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and analysis of school documents. This study identified the stages of supervision that include planning, implementation, and evaluation, which are carried out systematically and continuously. The results of the study indicate that the principal utilizes a clinical supervision approach, professional training, and personal coaching to improve pedagogical competence and teacher professional abilities. This strategy is considered effective in improving teacher performance, especially in terms of lesson planning, implementing innovative methods, and assessing learning outcomes. However, several obstacles were detected, such as the principal’s limited time, variability in teacher competency levels, and lack of facility support. To overcome these challenges, the principal developed a collaborative approach by involving senior teachers and forming a teacher working group. This study recommends increasing the intensity of supervision, providing adequate resources, and strengthening the culture of reflection in learning to support continuous teacher professional development. These findings are expected to be a reference in developing supervision strategies in other elementary schools.

Abstract

Amid the accelerating integration of digital technologies into educational ecosystems, a critical gap remains in the systematic evaluation and strategic enhancement of teachers’ digital literacy across Indonesia’s diverse regions. This encourages the pressing need for validated assessment instruments and targeted interventions to support educators' competencies. This study disseminates a rigorously validated digital literacy measurement tool grounded in the Instant Digital Competence Assessment (IDCA) framework and investigates the digital literacy levels of elementary school teachers in several provinces of Indonesia, i.e., DKI Jakarta, West Java, and West Sumatra. Employing a quantitative-descriptive survey design, data were collected from 296 teachers through online questionnaires. The sample size was calculated using Slovin’s formula with a 10% margin of error, followed by simple random sampling for participant recruitment. The IDCA instrument measures digital literacy across three core dimensions: Technological, Cognitive, and Ethical. The findings reveal that teachers generally exhibit a "fairly good" level of digital literacy. Notably, respondents reported higher competence in the Ethical and Technological domains, particularly in areas such as online safety, respectful digital interaction, and the ability to navigate and utilize digital tools. However, significant deficiencies were identified within the Cognitive dimension, especially concerning critical evaluation of information credibility and analytical processing of digital content. These results highlight the urgent need for strategically designed professional development programs that prioritize the cultivation of higher-order cognitive digital skills. Furthermore, the study advocates for robust educational policies to bolster teacher readiness in delivering technology-enhanced instruction, thereby ensuring meaningful integration of digital tools in 21st-century classrooms.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of the Istisna contract in Islamic housing finance in Indonesia, and to identify the challenges and strategic efforts required for its effective implementation. A qualitative approach was employed through a literature review of relevant academic works, regulatory frameworks, and current practices in Islamic finance. The findings reveal that although Istisna holds significant potential as a Sharia-compliant alternative to conventional financing, its implementation faces numerous challenges. These include low public literacy in Islamic finance, inadequate regulatory infrastructure, and cultural resistance to non-conventional financing methods. Developers and consumers also encounter technical and legal obstacles, such as complex contractual arrangements and weak legal protections. Additionally, the lack of effective educational strategies and financial literacy initiatives further slows adoption. The study highlights the need for a multidimensional approach involving the integration of financial technology, regulatory strengthening, collaboration between developers and Islamic financial institutions, and the involvement of community leaders as agents of socialization. To foster the growth of Islamic housing finance based on Istisna, comprehensive policy interventions and institutional capacity building are essential. Contextual strategies that are responsive to local needs and foster synergy among stakeholders can position Istisna not only as a Sharia-compliant financing instrument but also as one that is adaptive to Indonesia’s socio-economic dynamics.

Abstract

This study examines the management of Daarut Tauhiid's distinctive curriculum at Daarut Tauhiid Boarding School Putra High School. The aim is to find out a clear picture of the management of the Daarut Tauhiid Specialized curriculum at Daarut Tauhiid Boarding School Putra High School. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach through interviews, documentation studies, and observations with the principal, vice principal for curriculum, teachers, and students as informants. The results of this study are that a structured and comprehensive approach in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the curriculum has had a positive impact on the quality of graduates of SMA Daarut Tauhiid Boarding School Putra. This positive impact can be seen from the improvement in the quality of aqidah, worship, morals, memorization of the Qur'an, and academic achievement. Thus, the curriculum management of Daarut Tauhiid High School has succeeded in achieving its goals in shaping the character and academic achievement of students holistically.

Abstract

Islamic banking in Indonesia faces unique challenges related to financing risks (NPF), particularly in the context of financing diversification (FDV), income diversification (IDV), and other influencing factors. This study investigates the impact of FDV, IDV, bank-specific factors, and macroeconomic variables on NPF in Indonesia’s Islamic banking sector. Using monthly data from 2016 to March 2024 and employing the ARDL approach, this study analyzes the short-term and long-term effects of these factors. The results indicate that FDV and IDV do not significantly influence NPF. Similarly, bank-specific factors such as capital (CAP), efficiency (OPE), and bank size (SIZE) are not significant determinants of NPF in Islamic banking. However, asset quality (AQ) and diversification (DIV) were found to significantly increase NPF. Among macroeconomic factors, inflation (INF) has a significant positive effect on NPF in both the short and long term, whereas the BI rate (BRT) has a significant negative effect. This research highlights the need for Islamic banks to mitigate financing risks associated with diversified products, both from PLS and non-PLS contracts, while maintaining public trust by enhancing their credibility and existence as intermediary institutions. Emphasis should be placed on optimizing product diversification strategies, improving asset quality, and monitoring macroeconomic conditions to sustain financial stability.========================================================================================================ABSTRAK - Apakah Diversifikasi Mempengaruhi Risiko Pembiayaan pada Bank Syariah di Indonesia? Suatu Pendekatan ARDL. Perbankan syariah di Indonesia menghadapi tantangan terkait risiko pembiayaan (NPF), terutama dalam konteks diversifikasi pembiayaan (FDV), diversifikasi pendapatan (IDV), dan faktor lainnya. Penelitian ini menyelidiki dampak FDV, IDV, faktor spesifik bank, dan variabel makroekonomi terhadap NPF di sektor perbankan syariah Indonesia. Menggunakan data bulanan dari tahun 2016 hingga Maret 2024, penelitian ini menganalisis efek jangka pendek dan panjang dari faktor-faktor tersebut dengan pendekatan ARDL. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa FDV dan IDV tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap NPF. Begitu juga dengan faktor spesifik bank seperti modal (CAP), efisiensi (OPE), dan ukuran bank (SIZE) tidak menjadi determinan signifikan. Akan tetapi, kualitas aset (AQ) dan diversifikasi (DIV) menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan NPF pada bank syariah. Diantara sekian faktor makroekonomi, inflasi (INF) memiliki pengaruh positif signifikan terhadap NPF dalam jangka pendek dan panjang, sedangkan BI rate (BRT) memiliki pengaruh negatif signifikan. Penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya bagi bank syariah mengurangi risiko pembiayaan yang muncul dari produk diversifikasi, baik dari kontrak PLS maupun non-PLS, sambil mempertahankan kepercayaan publik dengan meningkatkan kredibilitas dan eksistensinya sebagai lembaga intermediasi. Perhatian harus difokuskan pada optimalisasi strategi diversifikasi produk, peningkatan kualitas aset, dan pemantauan kondisi makroekonomi untuk menjaga stabilitas keuangan.
