Abstract

This study aims to describe the process of assessing Indonesian language learning in the city of Bandung during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method used is a descriptive method of the Indonesian language learning assessment process. The research subjects were Indonesian high school teachers in the city of Bandung who were selected through a random sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire, observation, and interview techniques which were analyzed through the stages of reduction, display, and conclusion of the data. The results of this study describe three things as follows. First, during the pandemic, the assessment of Indonesian high school learning in Bandung City has implemented an assessment of Indonesian learning by utilizing digital technology. Second, the role of digital technology in assessment during this pandemic is very large so that Indonesian language learning in Bandung City can continue to run either as a supplement, complement, or substitution. Third, the ability of teachers to use digital technology in the assessment is quite good, supported by expertise in understanding and using digital technology, both hardware, software, and networks. Fourth, the assessment technique is carried out by utilizing digital technology in both knowledge test techniques and skills tests. Fifth, the problems that arise during the assessment of Indonesian language learning during the pandemic include the teacher paradigm in conducting online assessments, the ability of educators to utilize technology, and the limitations of online learning equipment.

Abstract

The importance of educational technology as a learning medium that is more flexible, fun, can improve the cognitive process and skills of learners, so that it plays an active role in attracting students' interest or motivation to learn (Miasari et al., 2022). Many learning media utilize digital technology, one of which is augmented reality learning media assisted by assembler applications. The purpose of this study was to determine student responses to media products in learning Sundanese fairy tales at the elementary school level. The research design used descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires and interviews given after the learning took place. Data analysis was carried out using a Likert scale. The results showed that students' responses to augmented reality media assisted by assembler applications in learning fairy tales with an average score percentage of 85.7% which was stated in the positive category. Thus, augmented reality learning media with the help of assembler applications obtained a positive response and succeeded in attracting students' attention in learning Sundanese fairy tales.

Abstract

Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan sebagai upaya meningkatkan kompetensi guru-guru bahasa Sunda di Kabupaten Sukabumi dalam menulis soal bahasa Sunda berbasis Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS). Subjeknya adalah guru-guru bahasa Sunda jenjang SMA/SMK dan SMA di Kabupaten Sukabumi. Kegiatan yang dilakukan ini merupakan kegiatan pelatihan untuk mempersiapkan guru-guru bahasa Sunda dalam menghadapi era digital dan persaingan global. Kabupaten Sukabumi dipih sebagai tempat pelatihan karena masih jarang dilakukan pelatihan sejenis dalam rangka menghadapi perkembangan ini. Pelatihan ini menuntut peningkatan keterampilan guru dalam menyusun soal yang berkualitas serta menyajikannya secara daring yang sesuai dengan tuntutan dari kurikulum 2013 revisi 2017. Luaran dari pelatihan ini adalah (1) artikel ilmiah yang dipublikasikan dalam jurnal nasional (2) artikel ilmiah yang disajikan dalam seminar internasional, dan (3) draf Hak Kekayaan Intelektual (HKI).

Abstract

The target of the results of this service program is expected that this training will be carried out as an effort to improve the professionalism of Sundanese language teachers in Pangandaran Regency in understanding, implementing, and developing Minimal Competency Assessment (AKM) models in Sundanese language subjects. The subjects are Sundanese language teachers in junior high and high school levels in Pangandaran Regency. The activity carried out is a training activity to prepare Sundanese language teachers in facing the digital era and global competition. Pangandaran Regency was chosen as a training location because its area is quite far from the city center of West Java, so that Sundanese language teachers there must also be given the same training to deal with this development. This training requires an increase in teacher professionalism in applying the AKM model in accordance with the demands of the current application of learning policies. The output targets of this training are (1) scientific articles published in national journals (2) scientific articles presented in international seminars, and (3) draft Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)

Abstract

Di era digital, kegiatan pembelajaran diharapkan mampu menumbuhkan minat dan motivasi siswa untuk mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran dengan baik. Terlebih materi yang diajarkan merupakan materi guguritan yang kini sudah jarang ditemukan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan langkah-langkah penerapan efektivitas media Articulate Storyline 3 dalam pembelajaran guguritan di SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen murni. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara tes tulis kepada siswa kelas VIII SMPN 29 Bandung tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Sampel dipilih secara acak untuk memilih kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa media Articulate Storyline 3 sangat efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan siswa memahami pembelajaran guguritan di SMP. Hal tersebut dapat diketahui berdasarkan hasil akhir siswa, di mana 1) kemampuan siswa di kelas yang menggunakan media tergolong mampu; 2) kemampuan siswa di kelas yang tidak menggunakan media tergolong kurang mampu; dan 3) berdasarkan hasil uji statistik non parametris, menunjukkan Hₐ diterima dan H₀ ditolak, artinya terdapat perbedaan efektif antara kemampuan siswa di kelas eksperimen dan di kelas kontrol.

Abstract

Effective and efficient assessment of writing learning plays an important role in improving students' writing ability. Students' writing skills tend to be low so that they have not been able to achieve the expected learning objectives. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the implementation of high school students' writing learning assessment using the Context, Input, Process, and Product (CIPP) model. This evaluative method was conducted at high schools in the Bandung Raya area using purposive sampling technique. The research sample consisted of 120 students, 6 teachers, and 3 school leaders. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation which were analyzed using descriptive data analysis. The findings showed that the evaluation of the implementation of the assessment of learning to write on the average components of context, input, process, and product was in the good enough category with an average score of 2.91 and 2.87. The evaluation aspects analyzed include conditions, needs, teacher competencies, learner characteristics, availability of facilities and infrastructure, planning, implementation, implementation results, and the impact of the implementation of writing learning assessment in high school. Based on the findings of the analysis, improvement efforts are needed, especially in the component of writing learning assessment products that can be adapted to the diversity of students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui factor-faktor yang mempengeruhi keterbacaan, serta mengetahui keterbacaan teks pada buku ajar bahasa Sunda “ Wiwaha Basa” kelas VII SMP/ MTs. Buku ajar berperan menjadi elemen krusial dalam pembelajaran, memberikan manfaat signifikan bagi siswa, kurikulum, guru, dan masyarakat, serta menunjukkan betapa pentingnya perannya dalam pendidikan. Kendala dalam memahami materi pelajaran dapat menghambat siswa memperoleh informasi dan mencapai tujuan pembelajaran, menjadikan peran materi pelajaran sangat penting dalam konteks pendidikan. Peneliti menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif terhadap teks wacana yang terdapat dalam buku ajar tersebut. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan teknik studi pustaka dengan menggunakan analisis unsur langsung. Pengambilan data observasi langsung melalui studi pustaka terhadap teks wacana yang terdapat dalam buku ajar tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan pada enam wacana dari keseluruhan bab buku “Wiwaha Basa”, didapatkan 2 wacana memiliki keterbacaan berkategori mudah, dan 4 wacana memiliki keterbacaan berkategori sesuai. Maka dapat disimpulkan, bahwa buku ajar bahasa Sunda berjudul “Wiwaha Basa” untuk SMP kelas VII, sesuai dengan kemampuan keterbacaan peserta didik kelas VII SMP/MTs.

Abstract

Sundanese script is an ancient Sundanese scriptwhose writing system has been standardized inaccordance with the development of Sundaneselanguage used by Sundanese people today. Along withthe development of the digital era, of course itinfluences learning in schools, especially Sundanesescript. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention towhether learning Sundanese script using digital mediais effective or not? Then the method used in thisresearch is Systematic Literature Review (SLR), whichis also called literature study, namely by reviewingprevious research within the last 10 years. There are20 articles about learning Sundanese script usingdigital media using the PICOS approach. The studydiscovered that digital media packed as beautifully aspossible helps in introducing, training, and becomingaccustomed to using Sundanese script.

Abstract

Language documentation plays a critical role in preserving linguistic diversity and cultural heritage. However, balancing the academic goals of linguists with the practical needs and interests of indigenous communities remains a challenge. This study reports on the first phase of documenting the relatively isolated indigenous language of Baduy Dalam in Banten, Indonesia. Using a linguist-centered approach, the fieldwork involved eliciting language data and recording daily narratives, culminating in the creation of a small Baduy dictionary. While the project succeeded in capturing targeted word forms and sentence structures, local informants expressed concerns about its relevance to their community. These findings highlight the limitations of linguist-driven documentation efforts, suggesting the need for approaches that prioritize community engagement and shared ownership of language preservation initiatives. A shift towards community-based and multidisciplinary methodologies may foster greater participation, ensuring that language documentation aligns with both academic and local community objectives.

Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: 1) aspek toponimi di Kabupaten Subang; 2) pola penamaan yang digunakan pada toponimi Kabupaten Subang; 3) asal-usul desa di Kabupaten Subang; 4) parameter antropolinguistik pada toponimi Kabupaten Subang. Metode yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik yang digunakan meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan telaah pustaka. Sumber data meliputi: manusia (person), tempat (place), dan kertas (paper). Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa toponimi di Kabupaten Subang dipengaruhi aspek fisikal sebesar 76% yang berkaitan dengan fenomena alam, dan aspek non-fisikal sebesar 24% yang berkaitan dengan harapan masyarakat serta peristiwa yang pernah terjadi di tempat tersebut. Pola penamaan yang digunakan pada toponimi Kabupaten Subang didominasi oleh pola campuran sebesar 74% karena pola ini dapat menggambarkan suatu daerah lebih spesifik baik melalui fenomena alam, maupun sosio-kultural, sedangkan pola linear sebesar 26%. Asal-usul yang didapatkan dari hasil penelitian ini banyak dipengaruhi oleh fenomena alam yang ada di sekitar daerah tersebut, selain itu juga dipengaruhi kondisi sosio-kultural seperti cerita rakyat yang beredar di masyarakat, peristiwa yang pernah terjadi, dan harapan masyarakat juga mempengaruhi asal-usul nama tempat. Parameter antropolinguistik yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini didominasi oleh parameter keterhubungan sebesar 83%, kebernilaian sebesar 54%, dan keberlanjutan sebesar 33%. Simpulannya bahwa toponimi Kabupaten Subang memiliki ciri khas yang beragam baik dari aspek yang melatarbelakanginya, pola penamaan yang digunakan, asal-usul, serta parameter antropolinguistiknya.This study aims to describe: 1) the toponymy aspects in Subang Regency; 2) the naming patterns used in the toponymy of Subang Regency; 3) the origins of villages in Subang Regency; 4) the anthropolinguistic parameters in the toponymy of Subang Regency. The method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The techniques employed include observation, interviews, and literature review. The data sources include: people, places, and documents. The study's results show that toponymy in Subang Regency is influenced by physical aspects to the extent of 76%, related to natural phenomena, and non-physical aspects at 24%, which are associated with the hopes of the community and events that have occurred in the area. The naming pattern used in the toponymy of Subang Regency is dominated by a mixed pattern at 74%, as this pattern can describe an area more specifically, both through natural phenomena and socio-cultural aspects, while the linear pattern accounts for 26%. The origins found in this study are largely influenced by the natural phenomena in the surrounding area, as well as socio-cultural conditions such as local folklore, past events, and the hopes of the community. The anthropolinguistic parameters derived from this study are dominated by the parameter of interconnectedness at 83%, value at 54%, and sustainability at 33%. In conclusion, the toponymy of Subang Regency has diverse characteristics, both in the aspects that underlie it, the naming patterns used, the origins, and its anthropolinguistic parameters.
