Abstract

This study investigates the feasibility and effectiveness of differentiated instructional strategies in high school physics education through a systematic literature review. The analysis encompasses 10 recent studies (2019–2024) that explore various implementations of differentiated learning in physics lessons. Results indicate that differentiated instruction enhances academic performance, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills by tailoring lessons to diverse student needs, including multiple intelligences and learning styles. Additionally, differentiated strategies facilitate student-centered learning and foster engagement, addressing the challenges of traditional teaching methods. However, resource intensity and technological gaps present significant barriers to implementation. Findings suggest that professional development and adaptive technologies are essential to supporting teachers in overcoming these challenges. This review underscores the transformative potential of differentiated instruction to democratize learning and meet the varied needs of modern classrooms, particularly in the context of post-pandemic educational recovery. The study concludes with recommendations for integrating differentiated instructional strategies into high school physics curricula to optimize both short-term and long-term educational outcomes.

Abstract

Abstract

The Community Partnership Empowerment (PKM) program was conducted with the “Giat Bakti Lestari” Farmer Group in Cibadung Village, Gunung Sindur, Bogor. Partners faced two main problems: low banana harvest quality caused by Fusarium wilt disease and the presence of idle, unproductive land. As a solution, the PKM team introduced banana propagation using tissue culture technology through socialization, training, and mentoring. This method offers several advantages over conventional propagation, including faster cultivation, mass production, disease-free seedlings, and genetic uniformity. However, partners had no prior exposure to tissue culture technology. Thus, the PKM activity focused on equipping farmers with skills in household-scale tissue culture techniques and providing simple facilities to support sustainable seedling production. By engaging in this program, the farmer group is expected to gain essential knowledge and practical skills, enabling them to independently manage tissue culture propagation. This initiative not only addresses crop loss due to disease but also promotes the use of modern agricultural practices to maximize land productivity. The activity ultimately aims to foster self-reliance among farmers and contribute to the development of innovative an sustainable farming in the village.

Abstract

This community service activity was conducted as an effort to introduce integrated learning innovations based on Augmented Reality (AR) technology using the Assemblr Edu application to teachers at SMAN 1 Leuwiliang, Bogor, and several other schools in Bogor Regency. This activity was motivated by the underutilization of interactive digital technology in the learning process, particularly in helping teachers visualize abstract material. The implementation methods included preparation, webinar promotion, webinar implementation, a brief technical training session on creating learning materials using the Assemblr Edu application, and guidance in designing AR-based learning content during the webinar. Participants were asked to create AR-based teaching materials using Assemblr Edu according to the subjects they teach. In addition to providing theoretical material, the implementation team also conducted hands-on practice to ensure participants developed the skills to create AR content independently. The results of the activity showed high enthusiasm from the participating teachers, with 85% of participants stating that the training was very helpful and that they felt more confident in integrating AR technology into classroom learning. Participants were also able to produce several prototypes of Augmented Reality-based learning media that can be used as interactive teaching tools. This activity not only improved teachers' technological literacy but also broadened their understanding of how digital technologies such as AR can be creative solutions to enhance the quality of learning and student engagement. Through this community service activity, it is hoped that teachers will become agents of change in utilizing innovative technologies to create more engaging, interactive, and technology-driven learning experiences that align with the demands of 21st-century educational technology. Additionally, this program serves as a strategic step to strengthen teachers' capacity in addressing future challenges in digital learning.
