Abstract

Abstract

AI systems like ChatGPT are rapidly changing education, giving teachers both new opportunities and new problems to deal with.  This study investigates ChatGPT's evolving importance in the educational environment of East Kalimantan, focusing on educators' and practitioners' perceptions of its advantages, constraints, and ethical considerations.  A qualitative design was used, incorporating semi-structured interviews with 15 participants (N=15), comprising teachers, administrators, and vocational instructors from various educational tiers.  Participants were intentionally recruited through professional networks to ensure a representation of various institutional contexts.  Data were gathered from March to May 2024 and examined through reflexive thematic analysis to discern the main themes and interpretive significances.  Strict adherence to ethical protocols was maintained, including informed consent, secrecy, and voluntary participation.  Nine themes emerged: Catalyst for Innovation, Enhancing Accessibility, Efficiency, and Teacher Support, Threat to Critical Thinking, Ethical Dilemmas, Digital Divide, Balancing Human Interaction, Depersonalization of Education, and Continuous Adaptation.  The results show that ChatGPT encourages personalized learning, language inclusion, and efficient teaching, but also raises ethical concerns and exacerbates digital inequalities.  Participants stressed the importance of teacher guidance, interpersonal connections, and institutional policies to ensure responsible use.  The study finds that for ChatGPT to work well, teachers must continue learning, there must be ethical governance, and the digital infrastructure must be fair.  This research, despite its regional limitations and reliance on self-reported data, offers significant insight for policymakers and educators addressing AI integration in evolving educational frameworks.

Abstract

Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) are an efficient defense against network attacks as well as host attacks as they allow network/host administrators to detect any policy violations. However, traditional IDS are vulnerable and unreliable for new malicious and genuine attacks. In other case, it is also inefficient to analyze large amount of data such as possibility logs. Furthermore, for typical OS, there are a lot of false positives and false negatives. There are some techniques to increase the quality and result of IDS where data mining is one of technique that is important to mining the information that useful from a large amount of data which noisy and random. The purpose of this study is to combine three technique of data mining to reduce overhead and to improve efficiency in intrusion detection system (IDS). The combination of clustering (Hierarchical) and two categories (C5, CHAID) is proposed in this study. The designed IDS is evaluated against the KDD'99 standard Data set (Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining), which is used to evaluate the efficacy of intrusion detection systems. The suggested system can detect intrusions and categorize them into four categories: probe, DoS, U2R (User to Root), and R2L (Remote to Local). The good performance of IDS in case of accuracy and efficiency was the result of this study.

Abstract

Academic resilience refers to an individual's ability to cope with pressures within the academic environment and to recover from setbacks or adverse situations. It is influenced by both internal and external factors. Previous research has extensively examined self-efficacy as an internal factor and peer social support as an external factor contributing to academic resilience. This study explores the psychological mechanism underlying these relationships by introducing goal orientation as a moderating variable in the influence of self-efficacy and peer support on academic resilience. The types of goal orientation examined include learning goal orientation, avoiding goal orientation, and proving goal orientation. A moderation test was conducted using hierarchical regression analysis with a sample of 1,082 university students from a private higher education institution in Jakarta. The findings revealed that both learning goal orientation and avoiding goal orientation significantly strengthened the effect of self-efficacy on academic resilience, while proving goal orientation significantly weakened this relationship. These results suggest that goal orientation can be leveraged to support students who have trouble adjusting during the early stages of university life. However, the study also found that goal orientation did not significantly moderate the relationship between peer social support and academic resilience. It is suggested that this may be due to the inherently strong role of peer relationships among individuals in this age group, reducing the influence of goal orientation in their adaptation process to university settings.

Abstract

The digital transformation of the modern workplace has reshaped the psychological landscape for young workers, especially Millennials and Generation Z, navigating Indonesia's evolving labour market. This study presents a systematic review of empirical literature examining the psychological challenges faced by young Indonesian workers in the digital era, focussing on core themes such as burnout, stress, quiet quitting, motivation, work-life balance, and coping strategies. Guided by the PRISMA 2020 protocol, 28 peer-reviewed studies published between 2020 and 2025 were selected from the Scopus, PubMed, Google Scholar and Garuda databases. The review identifies prevalent issues such as emotional exhaustion, job insecurity, and disengagement, while also highlighting adaptive responses including intrinsic motivation, digital self-efficacy, and culturally grounded coping mechanisms. The findings underscore the importance of supportive workplace environments, leadership quality, and digital competence in mitigating psychological distress. This review not only synthesises context-specific insights, but also provides a foundation for the development of targeted interventions and policy recommendations to improve mental well-being among Indonesia’s emerging digital workforce.
