Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of strategic leadership and job involvement on employee performance at PT Astra Honda Motor Kendari Tbk. The study employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory design. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to employees as respondents. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the assistance of IBM SPSS, preceded by descriptive statistics, normality testing, and multicollinearity testing. Hypothesis testing was performed using the F-test and t-test to examine the simultaneous and partial effects of the variables. The results indicate that strategic leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Job involvement also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Simultaneously, both variables significantly influence employee performance. These findings indicate that improving employee performance can be supported through leadership that provides clear strategic direction and through strengthening employee involvement in carrying out work and achieving organizational goals.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work discipline on work motivation, organizational commitment, and employee performance, as well as to examine the mediating roles of work motivation and organizational commitment at the Vocational Training and Productivity Center (BPVP) Kendari. The research respondents comprised all Civil Servants (ASN) assigned to BPVP Kendari in 2025, totaling 71 individuals. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) approach. The results indicate that work discipline has a positive and significant effect on work motivation, organizational commitment, and employee performance. Furthermore, organizational commitment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance and serves as a mediating variable in the relationship between work discipline and employee performance. In contrast, although work motivation shows a positive direction of influence, it does not have a significant effect on employee performance and does not mediate the effect of work discipline on employee performance.
