Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul berbasis Cooperative Learning tipe STAD pada materi Jenis-jenis Alat Ukur Tanah di SMK Negeri 2 Gunungsitoli, sekaligus menguji kelayakan, kepraktisan, dan efektivitasnya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate). Instrumen penelitian meliputi lembar validasi ahli, angket respon guru dan siswa, serta tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul yang dikembangkan sangat layak ditinjau dari aspek isi, kebahasaan, dan desain. Dari sisi kepraktisan, modul dinilai mudah digunakan serta bermanfaat bagi guru dan siswa. Uji efektivitas juga memperlihatkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, modul pembelajaran Ukur Tanah berbasis STAD ini dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan ajar inovatif yang sejalan dengan Kurikulum Merdeka dan berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran vokasional di SMK.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a learning medium using Alight Motion for the subject Construction Equipment at SMK Negeri 1 Sogae’adu and to examine its validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The background of this research lies in the limited variety of instructional media used by teachers, which results in low student motivation and difficulties in understanding abstract concepts. The research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The instruments used were validation sheets, response questionnaires, and learning achievement tests. The findings indicate that the developed media was assessed by experts as highly feasible, received positive responses from teachers and students who considered it practical and engaging, and was proven effective in enhancing students’ comprehension and learning achievement. Thus, the Alight Motion-based learning medium can serve as an innovative alternative in digital-based vocational learning at vocational high schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul pembelajaran berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi gaya batang rangka sederhana di SMK Negeri 1 Sogaeadu serta menguji kelayakan, kepraktisan, dan efektivitasnya. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), melibatkan 29 siswa kelas X TKP. Instrumen penelitian meliputi angket validasi ahli (materi, bahasa, dan desain), angket respon siswa dan guru, serta tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan modul memenuhi kriteria sangat layak, dengan skor validasi ahli materi meningkat dari 80% menjadi 100%, ahli bahasa dari 88% menjadi 100%, dan ahli desain dari 80% menjadi 92,73%. Uji kepraktisan memperoleh persentase 96% (perorangan), 96,30% (kelompok kecil), dan 95,56% (lapangan), seluruhnya termasuk kategori sangat praktis. Uji efektivitas menunjukkan ketuntasan belajar 100% dengan nilai rata-rata 85,86%. Dengan demikian, modul berbasis PBL ini dinyatakan sangat layak, praktis, dan efektif, serta berpotensi menjadi alternatif inovatif dalam pembelajaran vokasional yang relevan dengan tuntutan Kurikulum Merdeka dan kebutuhan industri konstruksi.

Abstract

Concrete compressive strength analysis is an important step in the design and manufacture of quality concrete. Selecting the right quality local aggregates, and conducting accurate aggregate testing, can optimise the strength of the concrete produced. In Hilisalo'o Village, Sitolu Ori Sub-district, there are many local aggregates in the form of stone and sand. This study aims to determine the compressive strength value of concrete using local aggregates in Bogali River, Hilisalo'o Village, Sitolu Ori Subdistrict. The method used in this research is experimental research. Based on the results of the 14-day-old concrete compressive strength test, the compressive strength value of concrete using local aggregates in Bogali River, Hilisalo'o Village, Sitolu Ori Subdistrict has a different average compressive value based on the working method, namely material (sand, gravel, cement, and water) without control (unwashed material) has a compressive strength value of 119.07 kg/cm2 (K-119 or 9.88 Mpa), material (sand, gravel, cement, and water) with control (washed material) has a compressive strength value of 180.48 kg/cm2 (K-180 or 14.98 Mpa) material (sand, crushed stone, cement, and water) without control (unwashed material) has a compressive strength value of 167.30 kg/cm2 (K-167 or 13.89 Mpa), and material (sand, crushed stone, cement, and water) with control (washed material) of 209.83 kg/cm2 (K-209 or 17.42 Mpa).  The results of the compressive strength test show that the materials (sand, gravel, cement and water) with the contract.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of teachers' teaching styles on students' learning outcomes. The main issue addressed in this research is how variations in teaching styles affect students' learning outcomes, which is a crucial factor in enhancing the understanding and application of knowledge. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of teachers' teaching styles on the learning outcomes of students in the subject of Construction and Building Utilities at SMK Negeri Lotu. The research method employed is a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. The sample consists of all students in the XI DPIB class, totaling 21 students. Data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire designed to measure teachers' teaching styles and their impact on students' learning outcomes. Data analysis was conducted with validity, reliability, normality, and linearity tests to ensure the accuracy and precision of the data. The analysis results show a significant impact of teaching styles on students' learning outcomes. The study concludes that the application of appropriate teaching styles can significantly improve students' learning outcomes. The prospects of this research highlight the importance of developing and implementing innovative teaching methods that meet students' needs to enhance the quality of education, particularly in vocational education that requires practical skills and industry relevance.

Abstract

Education is essentially a process to develop students' potential comprehensively, including knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values. Teachers play a central role in the success of education, not only as deliverers of material but also as managers of learning. One of the important competencies that teachers must possess is creativity. Teacher creativity is defined as the ability to present new ideas, varied learning methods, and innovative strategies that are able to adapt to the needs of students. The goal of teacher creativity is to create learning that is interesting, motivating, and encourages optimal student learning outcomes. The research method used a quantitative approach with a descriptive design. The research subjects were 21 grade XII students majoring in Building Modeling and Information Design (DPIB). Data were obtained through questionnaires for the teacher creativity variable, and documentation for the learning outcome variable. The data analysis technique used simple linear regression. The results of the study showed a positive and significant influence between teacher creativity and student learning outcomes. The simple regression equation obtained was Ŷ = 43.093 + 0.497X, meaning that every one unit increase in teacher creativity increases learning outcomes by 0.497 points. Hypothesis test (thitung = 3.165 > ttabel = 2.072) with a significant value of 0.005 (<0.05) indicates that the alternative hypothesis is accepted. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 34.5% indicates that teacher creativity contributes to student learning outcomes, while the remaining 65.5% is influenced by other factors outside the study. In conclusion, teacher creativity plays a very important role in improving student learning outcomes, but other factors such as teaching quality, motivation, facilities and infrastructure, and the learning environment also need to be considered to achieve optimal learning outcomes.

Abstract

Di era globalisasi, teknologi digital telah menjadi bagian penting dari kehidupan sehari-hari dan mempengaruhi berbagai sektor, termasuk pendidikan, bisnis, dan sosial. Meskipun teknologi menawarkan banyak peluang, kesenjangan digital masih menjadi tantangan, terutama di daerah terpencil. Pemuda, sebagai agen perubahan, memerlukan literasi digital yang memadai untuk memanfaatkan teknologi secara efektif. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat di PKBM Ziona, di bawah Yayasan Gozena Bangkit Berkarya, bertujuan untuk mengatasi kesenjangan ini melalui ceramah dan pelatihan praktis. Kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan digital siswa. Siswa menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dan berhasil memahami materi mengenai keterampilan digital dan peluang teknologi. Evaluasi melalui kuis dan diskusi kelompok mengungkapkan potensi siswa untuk memanfaatkan teknologi secara produktif. Pelatihan praktis juga menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan dalam pengelolaan media sosial dan pembuatan konten digital. Hasil pengabdian ini mencerminkan keberhasilan dalam meningkatkan literasi digital dan keterampilan siswa, yang diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap pemberdayaan mereka di era teknologi.

Abstract

The problems faced by students of class X DPIB SMK Negeri 1 Lotu are limited discussion space, difficulty in understanding the material, and low interest in various heavy equipment used in construction, caused by the use of conventional teaching methods. Previous research has shown that Google Classroom is effective in enhancing learning compared to traditional teaching methods. The development of Google Classroom-based learning media is expected to assist students in understanding the various types of heavy equipment used in construction. This research follows the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) using questionnaires, observations, interviews, and tests as research instruments. The validity of this learning media is validated by three validators: media experts (score 75.29%), language experts (score 86.67%), and subject matter experts (score 86%). Based on these assessments, it can be concluded that Google Classroom-based learning media on the subject of various types of heavy equipment in construction are valid and suitable for use. This media is practical in its application and effective in enhancing student learning outcomes. Overall, this research produces learning media that are valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah kuranganya variasi media pembelajaran dari seorang guru. Guru lebih senang menggunakan media dalam bentuk gambar cetak dikarenakan lebih cepat dan efisien, tetapi jika dilihat lebih dekat siswa merasa bosan dengan media yang sering dilihatnya setiap hari yang membuat siswa kurang tertarik dengan materi yang diajarkan oleh guru. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah Untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis video kelas X pada materi keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja pada pekerjaan bangunan serta untuk mengetahui keefektifan (efektifitas), kepraktisan (praktikalitas) dan kelayakan (validitas) media pembelajaran berbasis video kelas X pada materi keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja pada pekerjaan bangunan. Lokasi penelitian adalah siswa SMK Negeri 1 Lotu, populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas X-DPIB sebanyak 16 orang. Instrumen pengumpulan data adalah angket dengan skala likert. Hasil penelitian mengungkap bahwa Media berbasis video kelas X pada materi keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja pada pekerjaan bangunan layak untuk digunakan. Berdasarkan validasi dari validator ahli isi dan materi, perolehan skor 42 dengan tingkat pencapaian 84% kategori sangat baik, validator ahli bahasa diperoleh skor 30 dengan tingkat pencapaian 100% kategori sangat baik dan validator ahli desain diperoleh skor 50. Tingkat pencapaian 100% kategori "Sangat Baik". Media berbasis video kelas X pada materi keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja pada pekerjaan bangunan Praktis untuk digunakan berdasarkan uji kepraktisan diperoleh skor 160. Tingkat pencapaian 100% Kategori "Sangat Baik". Media berbasis video kelas X pada materi keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja pada pekerjaan bangunan Efektif untuk digunakan berdasarkan jumlah peserta didik yang tuntas KKM. Jumlah keseluhan sebanyak 16 orang. Tingkat keberhasilan 93,7% kategori "Sangat Tinggi". Dengan menggunakan media berbasis video dapat memberikan variasi media untuk siswa sehingga tidak merasa bosan dan lebih aktif dilihat dari hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to increase students' understanding of CAD program courses through the application of the case method learning model. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). This research was conducted to find solutions that can be done so that the potential of each teaching participant can be explored optimally. The subjects of this study were the fourth semester students of the Building Engineering Education Study Program, University of Nias, who at the time of this research were contracting 22 CAD courses. The method of measuring the level of success is carried out in three cycles. The method of data collection was carried out by observation, performance tests, quantitative and qualitative data collection, and data analysis techniques of learning implementation. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, it was found that the most dominant activity of lecturers in providing lecture material using autocad media could increase student understanding by 0.47 points from cycle 1 to cycle 2 while the increase from cycle 2 to cycle 3 was 0.04 points. Activities in providing explanations to student questions using autocad media can increase student understanding by 0.25 points from cycle 1 to cycle 2 and increase student understanding by 0.27 points. The mastery of students' cognitive learning outcomes increased from cycles 1 to 3, with the percentage of mastery in cycle 1 being 31.82% and cycle 2 being 54.54%, and in cycle 3 being 90.9%. So it is concluded that the application of the case method learning model assisted by autocad media can improve students' understanding of the CAD program material.
